My kids loved it! Spent about $25 for four kids ages 3-10 to enjoy about an hour and a half of games. They loved picking out prizes and the attendant was very helpful. I'm sure you could burn through tokens much faster than they did, but they enjoyed wandering around and trying out all the games.
My two-year-old toddler and I went there, but we weren't able to acquire what we were expecting. However, the location is incredibly lovely and offers enjoyable games for youngsters older than six, who can probably really enjoy themselves there. Since my two-year-old couldn't participate, we chose to play. I twice won jackpots totaling 2000 tickets, and by swapping those tickets, I was able to buy gifts for my son. It was enjoyable and full of fun. will undoubtedly return. They also provide a location fo
Nice little arcade spot for kids. Old school vibes, token based (no cards), but lots of fun for the kids! Great addition to the rapidly growing Fuquay area- we have been desperately needing some more family fun spots so big thank you to the owners for starting this! Could use some more gaming options but I know that comes with time and building up the business.
I hope to be able to come back and update my review when we're able to get inside and experience this place. I knew we ran a risk of it not being open because it's a small town business and things happen - but I checked the FB page before leaving the house and saw nothing. We drove 30 minutes with 4 excited kids, only to find locked doors and learn from someone walking by that they closed due to no front desk coverage. I get it...I just think you need a way of informing your customers! We hope to try again!
My husband and I took our 6-year-old here the other night. You would never know this place was here unless somebody told you about it and I'm so glad somebody told us about it! Small cozy atmosphere with a variety of games from different Eras. They just recently opened so the snack bar and prize selection are a little small, but still good selection. They use coins and the games avg. $1-$2. The two boys that were working the night we went we're very friendly and informative! Will definitely be going back ag
There is a limited selection of arcade games. Most of the games are ticket producing games that are over quickly. Several of the games were out of order and several of the tickets producing games were out of tickets and had been since the night before. One of the employees said the key to open the games and add the tickets broke. The bathroom that is in the same room separated by only a curtain was not clean. It could be a good place to go if they improve the selection of arcade games. I went there for my
Fun experience at the Gryphon Gameroom! I played so many old games (I was bad at a lot of them) but it was so cool to have real tokens and tickets (even though I fumbled them around). I won a game, but it broke when it was giving me tickets. Thankfully the people working gave us a sticky note with the amount of tickets we won. I have some recommendations for new games: Speed Demon, Whack N Win, Space Balls, and Power Roll. Definitely coming back
Absolutely amazing little arcade. It's inexpensive and fun. The girl working at the counter today was so nice :) super fun, local, cheap. It's hard to find arcades that still have tickets and tokens so this was great!!
My husband and I were reminiscing about old school arcades when we stumbled upon this one. Not a ton of games to choose from, but all of them are good games nonetheless. They only use tokens (a bonus in my opinion) and we were able to kill some time, have some old fashioned fun and only spent $10. We even got some souvenirs with our tickets. We will definitely be back with a fuller wallet and more time to spare next time!
We were here for a birthday party, having a great time. At the end of the event, my son was playing one of the claw games. He's 8 and mistakenly put tokens in both coin slots and the machine didn't recognize that he put 4 tokens in. We tried to use the coin return but it didn't work. One of employees was informed of the mistake and essentially we were told that the manager refuses refunds, regardless of the coin return not working. I hope the next person gets a big win off my son's tokens ??. We wont be bac
I just happen to see a banner out advertising the arcade when driving by one day. I took my 10 yr olds and they had a blast. The teens that were working were very helpful and polite. The don't have a super large selection but large enough to make some memories with the kiddos. They also have a half court inside which is nice if you have a kid that like to shoot hoops.
Cool little spot? we went to do a little gaming after an hour with my 6 year old at Rock Solid Warrior. As soon as I went in a friendly staff member greeted us and showed us how to get tokens etc. $20 bucks got us a solid hour of fun and some fun little prizes for the little guy. Good assortment and variety of games. They said they are also planning to keep adding games so I think this will be a great little spot for Fuquay. Glad they are here and I would recommend it!
Really cool little arcade joint!! I brought my daughter in on a Saturday afternoon and we both had a blast. The staff was super helpful and seemed to take pride in their work. Looking forward to seeing this place hopefully expand. We will definitely be back!
The Gryphon Gameroom is a great place to bring the family! Not only is the customer service super helpful. The arcades is a fun and safe environment for all to come with exciting games for a exciting experience. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, 10/10 will come again.
Outstanding, cozy venue with friendly staff! We visit pretty regularly and there's more than enough games for the entire family. The kids love the actual tickets printed from some of the games, which they redeem for prizes.
The Gryphon Game room is a very nice family friendly arcade located in the side of the Fuquay Sports Center building. There are a variety of games to play from retro such as Pac Man and Skee Ball to crane games and other games to earn tickets. The tickets can be redeemed in an adjacent room for fun items, such as slap bracelets, toy cars, action figures and stuffed animals. The one aspect that could be addressed is a few of the games, such as the game that is similar to whack-a-mole, did not have any labeli
The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is very small and there was visible construction occuring in the building. Also some of ticket based games malfunctioned and we had call an employee over more then a few times. But my kid had fun.
This is a cool place with lot of fun stuff. I took my 7 year and 10 year old grandkids and they had an awesome time. They liked it so much we came again in the same week. Maddox was so helpful and friendly. We would definitely visit again.
We visited the Gryphon Game Room for the first time today. Our grandson had a great time and said it was a ?cool place?. Customer service was excellent and we will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!
This arcade is a hidden treasure. Small but a great range of activities for all ages. Very reasonable pricing for tokens. Refreshments available. Very helpful young man available to answer questions.
We arrived at 3, doors were locked. Called and no one answered. Stuck around until 3:15, no one ever unlocked the door or answered the phone. Disappointing. Would have liked to spend local dollars, but D&B it is.
Was here last year and was great, all the fun and nostalgia is gone. Doors aren't open, employees that were good to us as a family have disappeared. Not worth coming back at all. Would not recommend. It's not the same ????
Great hidden gem inside the Fuquay Sports Academy building (Southern attic side). Good variety of games, popcorn, and icee?s. Family friendly fun way to beat the heat!
We had a great time! Staff is super friendly and helpful.
This arcade is a REALLY cool addition to our town, it is old school and fabulous! I wouldn't change a thing, we had a blast.
Came back again, thought things changed but did not. Credit card machine didn't work, tickets ran out, family restroom was a far walk outside the facility
Great little arcade! Gives off an oldschool vibe, staff was very helpful and friendly!
Convenient to home but small and employees seemed a little cranky. Might just make the trip to Dave and busters
Great neighborhood arcade run by good people. Go check em out and get an icee!
It was so fun to be able to use coins instead of cards again.
What a cute hidden gem. Old school. Kids and adults loved it.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
