Second Floor in A Court, 1 American Dream Wy
East Rutherford, New Jersey 07073
We didn't try the games but decided to go here to eat. Place was quiet for a Friday afternoon which we preferred. Sometimes the food court is way too crowded. We tried wings for appetizer which were good size and pretty good. Would order again. I ordered the Pennsylvania railroad steak sandwich and it was really good. A little messy to eat but delicious on that kaiser roll. It's a little uncomfortable to get the burger out because of plating though. Both my sister and father enjoyed their food as well. $1
So glad they have this awesome place at this mall, when you enter and if you wanna play some arcade games you go to the Kiosk machine and get a card, from there you can add funds for the games, and all the tickets you win will be automatically entered back on the card to redeem for other prizes, when I first started I was expecting the tickets to come out of the slot, ?? overall, this is a fun place to be in, I definitely recommend..
The Gameroom at American Dream is a fantastic spot for kids to unwind after shopping. Featuring a 41,500-square-foot space with arcade games themed around Hasbro classics like Candy Land, Monopoly, and Transformers, it offers a vibrant and engaging environment. It's the perfect place for children to relax and have fun during a mall visit.
We had the BEST TIME HERE! So we booked the private room for our son's 18th birthday cause he wanted to have a birthday party in an arcade. So I checked them out & I'm so glad that I booked it. Maria was our server & we had a GREAT TIME. They have great food & their drinks r AMAZING too! Definitely going back soon!
Candy Land Shake Bar is located inside of The GAMEROOM at the American Dream Mall. It is an ice cream and milkshake spot with some pretty crazy and wild creations. All the drinks are fun-messy, sweet and amazing!
I love coming to the American Dream Mall and finding new hidden fun things to do. I tried out the Game Room as I am a huge Hasbiro fan. It's a lot smaller than Dave and Busters. The drinks were very delicious and the presentation was top notch! I ordered the Entertainment drink and it came with cotton candy inside, perfect for those who like a sweeter drink. My friend ordered the espresso martini and enjoyed hers as well. They have a lot of menu items to pick from. My absolute favorite was the spicy chick
I just want to start off by saying, this is not Round 1. And for as long as I've been a patron of American Dream, I've always known the establishment to carry the best of the best brands in the mall. What other American mall has an indoor snow resort? None! I'm a huge arcade fan, and would easily spend $200-300 per visit at an arcade whether with friends or family that's top tier, like Round 1. Have done so before, will do so again, that's just how I am. I've driven over an hour just to play at a Round 1.
American Dream Mall is now home to The Gameroom Powered By Hasbro. it's a great addition to its ever-growing entertainment segment. The game zone is filled with arcades, roller games, laser tag, a restaurant & bar. Load up a game card and try your hand at tons of games like claw machines filled with Hasbro-themed plush toys, Super Soaker Splash Dash, giant Hungry Hungry Hippos, and G.I. Joe Battle Station. Games cost roughly 6 to 15 credits, with many awarding tickets that can be redeemed at the "Own It A
There are a lot of arcade games. Nothing really Hasbro themed though. Was hoping for more themed games but it was generic arcade games you see at any Dave and Busters. Prizes weren't worth the cost so much they allow you to buy tickets. The restaurant was okay. The service was great. The fries, wings and club sandwich were delicious. The fish though was a little tough. Regret getting that and not the smash burger.
I can't speak for the Lazer tag and or the food there, but the games are boring and it tries so hard to be like Dave and busters, but falls very short. Not worth anyone's time. The card you use to scan has a cool down time which is ridiculous and the sensor pads that read the card for the game overheats and sometimes doesn't even scan regardless. The activation fee for a card is also ridiculous. Never going back here while there are many other options in the same plaza/area of mall.
I never leave reviews, but my experience left me so upset I felt I had to. The environment itself was fun , and laser tag itself was enjoyable?but the staff made the overall experience extremely disappointing. I consider myself polite and understanding, especially as someone who's worked in customer service. But all four employees I interacted with were unpleasant, unhelpful, and unprofessional. When I first arrived, I asked the laser tag attendant how to pay. He looked bored and uninterested, which I can
Had a game day with my 6 year old and saw they also had a restaurant attached to the arcade. This was a plus! After playing with my son he got hungry and the menu here was great! I only wanted a drink while my son ate but then got caught up by the Mediterranean salad. The bartender Jayden and our waitress Ashley were amazing and very accommodating. My son had a great time, he got to watch the soccer game while I relaxed for a bit. We loved it so much I booked my daughters 13th birthday for September because
I can honestly say the only good experience was the two reps in front. we came here for the claw machines, only to find out that there was two rooms full of rigged claw machines that open up as they pull the objects reach towards its highest point, dropping the items down. And to finish it off, I was completely ignored for five minutes while attempting to get a milkshake. I wouldn't recommend this for kids. It's a unwilling experience that's not cost effective for parents.
Was given a coupon that was not honored. Ended up not using coupon and just paid for my order. Was told once I order an entre then it would be honored for a free appetizer. Server Tony was respectful however manager could not honor coupon. Horrible service and totally misled. Will not come back again and don't recommend.
Went here yesterday (12/11) for food (at Game Eats) and played games for my son's birthday. Originally, my reservation for dinner was canceled because of a private event, but thanks to the restaurant, they put my group in their private room. The food was good, and our server (forgot her name) was polite and attentive. We enjoyed the games in the game room, but the 20-dollar game card goes fast, so you don't earn a lot of points to claim a prize. Luckily the group had two cards to combine and get over 100 po
Great food. I wish they gave a variety of flat and drums with the wings. Also a plus they give you $10 game cards pp when you eat there. Will definitely be going back
You guys advertise an every monday madness..on monday april 21 i came in there first thing for my sons bday thinking we will.able get to enjoy the deal ypu have for the 1.hr unlimited and came to dind put you guys stopped it because its.spring break for some people .. .. i understand ypu want to make money .. but its not really a great business practice to flip flop on deals because the kids are out of school basically tak9ng advnatage of parents that may have traveled far to the mall to go do an activity
This place is almost exactly what you'd expect for a busy mall. Fancy, expensive games that don't pay out many tickets. This alone is worthy of at least a 3 star rating, because some people enjoy that and maybe other people have different definitions of expensive. I am rating this one star because of one specific machine in this arcade. They give out character cards that are worth large amounts of tickets. If you can collect them all, you get even more tickets. There is a station in the arcade designed to
We ate at the Hasbro restaurant, and then spent about $80 on the arcade games. The food was reasonable for the price. The prices on the games were fine, except for Pearl Fishery. For five "coins", which cost about 80 cents, you get a SINGLE pearl. That's so bad. Even at the Jersey Shore, you would get around triple the number of balls per $ spent. The Avengers coin game was 5 pushes for 10 "coins". Not bad. FYI, if you park in the covered garages, you want to get your parking ticket validated. We were the
I recently visited the Game Room at American Dream Mall, and it was an outstanding experience. The service was top-notch?our server was incredibly attentive and genuinely engaging, checking in on us multiple times throughout our visit. The food was quite enjoyable. The chicken tenders were a delightful surprise, offering a more refined flavor compared to the usual kids' fare. We also tried the sliders and pizza. While the pizza was good, the sliders were a bit undercooked for our liking. You absolutely mu
Horrible?.we were given a 530 start time for the G.I. Joe laser tag as 530 approached we were stunned by the new crowd and how we were pushed to the side and back of the line after waiting for two hours. One of the associates forgot to book a party ruining my own daughter?s birthday celebration. They did all of this without even consulting with us and tried to casually push our time slot back.
I went with my daughter thinking it was gonna be fun, firts their machine where u buy the tickets dont work properly and charge me twice the amount of what i paid for,i necer request 2 cards but whatever the machine charge me for 2 ,second we try to play some of the games and here is the most annoying part,i try playing one of the games i top on the screen and it wasnt working we try another few times and thats it no more balance on the card i went to costumer service and there was a lady with nasty aptitude
Hosted a birthday party here for my son and everyone had a fantastic time! Manager, bartender and staff were amazing. Highly recommend to have a birthday here.
GI Joe battle station is one of our favorite games, staff is super friendly!
This is place is amazing way better than D&B the service and food 10/10. Our waitress Ashley was so amazing, professional and kind.
Went to this place as it was not busy to have some drinks and a quick bite to eat in hopes of playing games afterwards but we left before we even played one. The drinks were good, over priced for some but they do use bigger glasses so it was worth it. The service was terrible, extremely terrible. The manager was texting on her phone instead of helping out my family with an update on our order as they took over 30 mins to bring drinks! I'm not sure if it was our server but we went up to the bar and grabbed
Great service. The food is so good especially the community chest nachos! I got a $20 game card after eating at the restaurant. Tickets for the roller games were not being sold when I was there. But still was able to use the game card to play all the other arcade games. It was so much fun. 10/10 recommend. David and Buster?s could never.
?????????? A Last-Minute Lifesaver! ?????????? We cannot say enough AMAZING things about The Hasbro Gameroom! ???? When our original work event at Topgolf in Edison got canceled last minute on a HOLIDAY, we were scrambling to find a solution for our team of 15. With just TWO HOURS? notice, The Hasbro Gameroom swooped in and saved the day! ?????? From the moment we called, the staff and management were beyond helpful, accommodating us with smiles and solutions that instantly lifted our stress. ?? The venu
I want to personally thank Brian the manager today! He was so professional and helpful today. I had made a mistake while attempting to book lazer tag and I was able to arrive in person and helped me instantly! I highly recommend this place ????
It was our first time here and really loved it, the waiter was so kind and attentive! The bartender went out his way to make sure our drinks were delicious and they were spectacular! We will definitely be coming back next time we're visiting American dream. Jayden and Ashley are great!
Awesome themed restaurant with great food and lots of different activities. Try the laser tag it was amazing. My daughter wants to have her birthday party there now.
Extremely rude workers. I've been to many arcades and never had such consistent bickering and abrasive actions from the workers.
Let me preference this with: 3 military veterans walk into an arcade and decide to play GI Joe lasertag. It was a lot of fun! Oh and an eight year bested us at a racing game - got hustled for 140 credits. We also collected about 2000 points and traded those in for goodies. Won a lot of rubber duckies and claw machine stuffies. This is an excellent arcade. Perfect for all ages! Worth the visit!
My son loved every second of it! It is very spacious and all of the workers today were amazing. Ashley, our server, provided the best customer service I have ever received. We will definitely visit again soon.
My daughter had the best time! I would highly recommend this place. The service, food, drinks, milkshakes and games were exceptional!
Horrible service, environment, and bathroom was filthy. Server barely checked on our table. Environment wasn't as expected. It was extremely messy and bathrooms were also dirty! Will never go again due to our first visit!
The menu is a fun concept with names based off of board games which was really cool! The food was good, the drink we got was fantastic, i recommend ?The Entertainment?. Our waitress Ashley was amazing. She understood the vibe, was fun, and helped us with our many questions. We will be asking for her again for sure.
I enjoyed my time at my niece?s party and think it was fun. However the service was A1. Ashley and Jaden were like family to us. They treated us with so much love and care we were blessed to have them assisting us. They were on point and made the experience 100000000 times better !!!!
Took my son and friends there. They had a blast! They loved all the games and laser tag. They also ate at the restaurant and loved the nachos and mozzarella dice! The shakes were soo good and huge!
First time in The Gameroom, has a Dave and Buster?s feel to it. We only tried the arcade- not the food. Kids love the hungry hippo, mario kart, and the potato heads hula hoop game. We tried the roller ball games and didn't like it that much- also, there were 2 roller ball games not working during our visit - staff also seemed like they didn't want to be there- the reason for taking out 1 star. Considering it's a new attraction- you'd expect everything to be in good working condition. Redemption center has g
This is for the arcade side of the GAMEROOM. It felt like an overpriced Dave and Busters. The games are either very rigged against you, or they are not even registering points. For example, we tried out the ring toss game where you toss rings onto bottles. We managed to get a good amount of rings onto the bottles, but NONE of them registered, and we only ended up getting a single ticket. Aside from that, the balls for knocking down the clowns are too light to knock over the top row, even at Mach 3 speeds. T
We took our two children to the Gameroom for our daughter?s 7th birthday. The children had an amazing time playing the games and enjoying the sights and sounds. About 3/4 of the way through our gaming experience we dined on site. We were served by Ashley who was incredibly friendly and attentive to our table. The kids had the blue and pink ranger drinks (which were a hit) to go with their kids meals (sliders and chicken parm). Both dishes were cleared, which is a rarity for our family when dining out. We al
Got the hungry hippo sliders to share and wings! Both were really good, wings were extra crispy! Nashville hot sliders were a hit! The waitress Ashley was also kind enough to honor the game card promo. Will be back.
We were excited to try out this new restaurant as part of the Game room! It was very calm and welcoming when we first walked in, which was awesome being I have a toddler. Ashley was our waitress and she was down to earth and beyond helpful!
I love the gameroom because it had my favorite game and bored game that I like!!! :D My server was amazing ;)
Decided to take the kids for a fun day out and this place did not disappoint! My kids are still talking about the fun they had! Super clean and a wide variety of games. Definitely recommended! Also make sure you check out the laser tag...soo fun!
Small, about a quarter of the games of D&B better food though. The only great thing about this is the laser tag, otherwise BIG disappointment. The games also cost WAY too much to play! 8-15 tokens and many are out of order!
Amazing place good food fun games and great prices.
Tons of fun video games!!! Very clean & well organized. Must go place????????????
It was my niece?s birthday, and she had her heart set on going to the Gameroom for games, dinner, and a Princess Lolly milkshake. Not only was the food creatively delicious, but the games were really great too. The icing on the cake was when the manager, Vinny, learned we were celebrating a birthday and surprised us by buying the birthday girl her Princess Lolly milkshake!! Her day (and mine) was made!! The Gameroom and Mgr. Vinny for the birthday win!
Wonderful place! Service was great from the host to the server( Ashley). Mediterranean platter was amazing! Great kids menu with fun N/A cocktails!
The food was amazing the staff are so nice and there games are so fun to play
Perfect place to relax with friends! Dinner was great and service from Ashley and Jaden was fantastic. Games were fun too! We'll definitely come back and bring the kids!
Great servers Great management. Clean place. Roped me in with a dine in promotion where you get free play when you eat. Keep doing promotions like that. Only suggestion is advertise your restaurant more as it's hidden in the back.
I unfortunately cannot give the restaurant any stars. Although the service people and manager on site were indeed pleasant and nice the food was extremely unsatisfactory which resulted in terrible stomach aches for me my wife and 2 kids. I don't know if it was the food itself or the cooks but very disappointing.
Great place to spend the afternoon with the family, a lot of fun games and laser tag . Also didn't realize they had a restaurant but the food was awesome and fresh. Everyone there was so nice and helpful definitely going back.
went here for a quick bite , food was okay. as i was eating i saw a mouse run by
It was our first time in the restaurant and the game room as well !! I loved the customer service! And the Mac and cheese burger was beyond delicious! Thank you Ashley ??
Over priced games not worth the money , dave and busters a much better deal.
Hard to get tickets. After spending 70$ on the card we played for one hour many games through the place and got 500 tickets; the main issue was the normal prizes were 7 thousand tickets so yeah don't play for the tickets.
Love this place! Cool games, good eats, and great bar for my wife. The bartender Vinny is excellent, would definitely recommend.
Monday nights are the best time to run into jaden and Ashley. Their service was attentive, and playful. Love it here
food was amazing 10/10. service was perfect 10/10. jaden and ashley were 1000% the best, hit this place up for sure!
Honestly the staff was so sweet Ashley, Daniela and April were so nice and helped me out with my order the food was good but the employees were awesome and cared the review to 5 starts
This was AWESOME! Went with two friends and not only did we have a lot of fun but the food was also great!
claw machine is a scam?we go for the capybara 12times?the claw open in the mid air?
Jaden and Ashley were amazing! Great and attentive service and food. Not to mention the theming in the restaurant is to perfection!
It's clean but pretty expensive to play
Had a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend this! It's even better than Dave & Busters!
They should have videos you can purchase of the laser tag so much money lost by not having that as an option but had a great time with the kid
Daniela was She was awesome. She helped me out a lot. It was a great experience.
It was a fun experience. They have more games than I expected.
great experience! the food was great too!
Food was great and our server Ashley was very nice/attentive.
Got tenders to go, so delicious. Lead bar tender and Chef are hilarious!
Great Place !!!! Great food !!! Ashley D was our server and she was fantastic !!!! I recommend ....
Some games they don't allow you to play
Great venue for the perfect party for all ages!
Had fun but you do go through everything quick.
Zero stars for the management team!
Extremely overpriced

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
