This arcade is an incredible experience! It's the best one I've ever been to. The games here are unique and better than most modern arcades. You can play 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s arcade games and pinball machines and you only pay one fixed price when you come into the arcade. You get unlimited free play with all the games, so it's very cheap! There's also a small gift shop with some merchandise. I highly recommend coming here and playing!
One of my students recommended this place so I decided to stop by with my 2 little ones and check it out. We had an absolute blast. I loved the pin ball machines and my kids loved the different arcade games. Such a great deal for $15! We will definitely be back!
15$ a person and you can play tell your heart drops its so much fun you don't need pay coins you Just push play
Came here for a birthday party and it was awesome! Tons of old school games and pinball machines. A pretty large seating area and a big party room. Wish they served food! They do have a little snack area with basic stuff like chips and candy. Only $15 a person for all day play
Loveeed it! Being a back to the future fan myself, This place is such a gem. It's full of classics. We ran into one of the owners and he was such a kind person. He even gave us a little back story on one of the oldest machines. Will definitely be coming back soon. ??
Took my grandson for his birthday. Great fun. Somehow, they managed to keep the noise to a tolerable level. The bathrooms were nice and clean. This place is huge and underutilized with a full kitchen and party area with a private restroom They encourage outside food and drink with a respectful pack it in pack it out policy.
Massive fun, great selection of pinball machines and old school video games. Had a blast, looking forward to coming back many more times. Highly recommend, I hope this business gets well supported, it is a gem.
Decent arcade. Games were in good working order. Wish they had more pinball machines. I enjoy the classic pinball games and there weren't too many of those. Service was friendly. I'd play here again.
It's a great place to go with family and friends. The touch screen jukebox cranking out a wide variety of music for free, video and pinball games, weekly pinball tournaments, a yummy snack shop, and the helpful staff will ensure an enjoyable time!
Pretty fun. Come in, pay the fee, and have access to unlimited games.
I've been to the Game Preserve about 20 times in the past 2 years. It's by far the best place in the area. They have a really solid collection of video games from 80s & 90s. They add new machines fairly often which makes exciting to come back.
I read the other reviews and it seems most of the games are back running. With that many old games, a lot new too, there's bound to be some of them not working. The ones that weren't working have many others like it so it's not like I was missing out. Super friendly staff! There were tons of pinball games which were my favorite! A super extensive arcade which seems to never end, the pictures I took were maybe 1/3-1/4 of all the games.
Played some great vintage games and some newer ones. Good times, great prices. They sell snacks. No complaints, ticks all the boxes for a fun, local place to play old games. We came here for a birthday party and had a very fine time. Looking forward to another visit.
Paid 60 for 4 people and 13 pinball down and 5 more up and with issues. And with another 11 arcade down not counting the 16 up but broken. Near Awful managed and kept arcade. A wasted stop with a few good working machines .Better options for the money.
There is an abundance of original arcade games here for your selection that is sure to satisfy that nostalgic craving. But where this place seems to truly shine is in the pinball machine sections, the layout of the location makes it easy to navigate and exciting to explore. This is my third time visiting the location and regardless of how many times I've entered, it's always an exciting and visually stimulating location to venture into. I'd highly recommend this location that can be enjoyable with a group o
BEST ARCADE ON THE PLANET!!!!! BYOB I am so happy I have this for my family. We have a re-occurring monthly membership for $50/month. BY FAR the best deal for families that want to have UNLIMITED FUN!!! All games are unlimited play. There are ZERO pay for play games, and snacks are super cheap. I. Love. This. Place.
We were here yesterday and had a blast. Yes, there were a few games down, but all of these negative reviews seem to blow that way out of proportion. Some notable favorites, the 1983 Star Wars arcade game and the 1998 Cyclone pinball. I remember both from my youth, Star Wars at the local skating rink and hours of pinball on Cyclone with my parent. Great memories and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
It was a fun experience. It was a shame they had so many pinball machines down. I guess thats part of the business. Ill be going back.
Cool place. Some games out of order but overall they were well maintained. Real nostalgic. The only thing missing was the smell of cigarette smoke and bowling alley fried foods lol. We'll go back for sure.
This was a great find. We will most definitely be back and we will be bringing friends. It's great for all ages, but if you are Gen X, this place will be like stepping back to your childhood/teenage years!
It's absolutely insane how this gets anything over 1 star. Yes, they have old games, and that's cool. But, ALL of them are trashed and broken. There wasn't ONE game that I played that didn't have something wrong with it. It totally kills the game and the enjoyment. Wasted $30 bucks, but now I know to never come here again, and now you should too.
Absolutely amazing! I totally recommend coming here. Went here with my dad and he loved reliving his childhood. The only complaint I have is that a handful of machines are out of order especially the older ones in the back. but when I came here for a second time some of them were actually fixed! You can even bring in your own food which is great seeing as how there is a Cicis pizza in the same strip center and a Whataburger across the street. Lastly the prices, its just 15$ for an all day pass. All of th
Such a fun experience!!! We went first thing Saturday morning for a 10 year olds bday party and my 9 year old had a great time. For $15 all day play, you can't beat that!
Omg! We had so much fun there last night! This place has over 280 games! There are no game cards. You literally pay a one time fee of 15.00 bucks and thats it! and you can play all you want for however long you want!! They set all the games on free play! This place had clean restrooms, pinball machine for days and great music! It is a fun, energetic, adult friendly and kid friendly atmosphere owned by a great family! This place is also byob so you can bring in your own food and your own drinks. There are pl
You'll always have a GREAT time at The Game Preserve. I stopped by after grabbing dinner nearby, and the waves of nostalgia washed over me immediately! NBA Jam, Street Fighter, Galaga, Metal Slug, Mortal Kombat, X-Men vs Street Fighter, and the list goes on! Sometimes a trip down memory lane is in order as the venue harkens back to the days of local arcades and eateries. The cover charge is reasonable as well. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. Sure, some of the controllers have seen better days
This is a nice place to go have fun, to do something different. A lot of games. It's great to take your kids they would enjoy it. I loved the pinball machines they were so cool, I hadn't played that in a long long time. I'ma post some pictures so you can see everything better.
I'm here on holiday ( from Belgium )visiting my daughter. I was also looking for some parts for my RIO Playmatic pinball machine and the 2 gentleman at The Game Preserve were very helpful in locating some parts . I also landed up staying another 3 hours playing on their machines. Had great fun and thank you for all your help. I'll shall be back .
Didn't think any place like this still existed. HUGE selection of arcade games, including many pinball machines... about 25% are out of order, many under repair during peak hours, when ppl are playing all around them.
I love this place! The kids always have a good time with free-play arcade games, we can bring snacks or order in a pizza.
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME...LIKE TOTALLY TUBULAR!!! They have a great selection of video games from the 80s. Ms. Pac-Man... they've got it. Joust... they've got that too. Tempest...yep..that one too. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We went in with our two children (14 & 11) and had a great time. The kids loved playing the older games that paved the path to the creation of the newer ones...like Fortnite. The prices are reasonable and grant all-day access. It looks like they are continually addi
Games are very meh but they are rare. Not much to do. Edit: downgrading the rating because of the very rude and dishonest response from the owner. I literally play pinball every day, so I know when an arcade is trash like this. Fix your machines and get off the keyboard
This place ROCKS. Just pay a flat fee at the door, then come in and enjoy ALL your favorite classic arcade games all day for as long as you want to stay. Everything is on Free Play, so no need for a sack full of quarters. You can also bring your own food and drinks in with you. They have an incredible selection of games (Pac-Man, Galaga, Joust, Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, Q-Bert, Burger Time... you name it, they've got it!), not to mention tons of pinball machines. They also have a comic book shop with a nice
A hidden gem indeed! Went there for the first time and it was as if we stepped back into the 80s, even early 90s!!!! Nostalgia for sure! The kids loved it and we'll be back!! ?? Thanks guys!
Was very fun, had a blast on the pin ball games and other classics like Galaga, Mortal Kombat2, Street Fighter 2, Gauntlet. Played for about 4hrs, the JukeBox had a lot of good classic songs also. And there was a Delorean parked out front
The thing I love about the Game preserve isn't the cool collection of retro games and pinball machines. In an era where businesses seem to be squeezing consumers for everything they can, good deals are more difficult to find. Finding fun stuff for the family is increasingly costly to the point that it's easier to stay home. The Game Preserve offers family fun at a reasonable price. Pay once and play as long as you like. If you're hungry, snacks are also reasonably priced. The end result is that you can
I've been to The Game Preserve probably a half dozen times in the last 3 years and it's always a fun time. The place is clean, people are friendly, and the staff is helpful and laid back. We brought my dad this last time and we had fun watching him enjoy the old arcade games he used to play back in the 80s. I wish The Game Preserve was closer to my house, I would visit more often.
Stopped by here on a whim while my wife and I were next door at a market store. As we walked in a younger employee that works there was quick to see our lost looks on our face and asked if it was our first time there. He helped us get set up to start playing within 2 minutes. The way the arcade was set up that day was freeplay all day for $15 per person. The arcade has a good selection of arcade machines, platformers, side scrollers, fighting games, shooters and an abundance of pinball machines. There was 8
We love this retro arcade. We enrolled in the monthly family plan. More cost effective if you plan to go more than once. They have so many games. Pinball machines galore. You are able to bring in your own drinks and snacks. Always fun for us and the kids.
Great time! $15 all you can play, and a good variety of older games make for a fun time!
This is a place of nostalgia!! So many games from my childhood! There was even a De Lorean parked out front! Just pay the entrance fee and play to your hearts content. No need for pockets of quarters, they are all free to play. Pinball machines everywhere!!!
Always enjoy the nostalgia of this place. Reminds me of cutting class in high school. Highly recommend.
They've let this place go downhill and it's clear they sent all of the desirable games to the Webster location. What's left are games no one is interested in. They no longer have Robotron, Zaxxon, Tron, Defender and countless others and they're now at Webster since they seem to not care about this location anymore. To make matters worse there were probably a dozen non working games on the floor and several in the repair area, and what's working is dirty and are worn down
Such a cool place! This takes me back to my childhood spending hours at the arcade dropping quarters in games with my friends. I got to play some of my old favorites as well as many games I never even heard of before. I LOVE the huge selection of pinball machines, old and new. Also it's so cool to play some really old, and probably antique, machines that have analog scoring and actual bells ringing instead of digital scoring and a speakers for sound. The staff is really friendly and even though they are
I went to the original Game Preserve in 2012. I was 14 and it was my first time at a real arcade. I remember Wreck it Ralph had just come out, the background music was nothing but Nickelback, and I had a blast playing on the handful of arcades with my childhood best friend on his birthday. That location was pretty small, only a few rooms. That best friend is now my life partner, and we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary at this location. Tons more games, pinball machines, shooters, and racing games here, all
Fun neighborhood arcade! Love the classic pinball machines from the 1950s. Update: if you are going to play the classic pinball machines call ahead to make sure they are working. I was just in there and 5/6 machines in back were out of service. Still a lot of cool stuff to do, especially if you love arcade games from the 80s and 90s. They recently added cafe with a theme from back to the future. You can bring your own food and drinks.
Had a wonderful time here playing pinball. I appreciated the selection of older games too.
Super fun place to bring the family! Lots of pinball machines, most in great condition. Staff was friendly and the monthly family price is super reasonable. Will be coming back.
Great place for retro gaming or teaching the youth about retro gaming. Bring the whole family, it will be fun.
This place is amazing! A ton of classic 80s and 90s arcade games. The only downside is it's 80s and 90s arcade games lol. Maintenance is the bane of existence on these beauty?s. So much fun to play and enjoy. The only bummer is a lot of the joysticks are fairly worn and need replaced along with contacts (buttons). Even with that being said well worth the time so stop and play! We had a blast and will definitely be back. Keep em up and running! It's a fantastic place to take your kids and show them
Really great 1st time experience there. Loved the 80s and 90s feel to it. Took me back to my teens and the games I remember. 15 dollars all day play come and go if you want, which is a great deal. Great music selection on the jukebox and it is even free. Small concessions but the cooks and most snacks are just a dollar.
Great place, brings back memories. It was great to share this with my son. It was so awesome to see him play the same games I did as a kid. Thank you The Game Preserve for an amazing time. We will definitely be back soon.
When you go 88 mph in a DMC-12 and the tires turn to flame, you end up at the Game Preserve in The Woodlands. Alien Syndrome, Gauntlet, Pole Position, SNES, War Gods, Xevious...5-stars.
Awesome, but hot as hell ac not working right. Super packed.. covid outbreak waiting to happen.. ;).. (im kidding)
I love this place. I've been coming here since 2018, and I always walk away satisfied afterward. Your adventure starts as you walk up to the building. You are greeted by a DeLorean DMC-12 parked right in front, giving you a little hint that you are about to step into a time capsule. As you walk in, you notice a plethora of familiar sights and sounds that instantly bring back childhood memories. They have all of the classic, old-school arcade games that many of us grew up with (Donkey Kong, Pacman, Street Fi
$15 a person all day pass..byob and food..old school arcades..pinball machines..kid friendly but more of n older crowd type of place that'll turn you into a kid lol will definitely be returning
We had a graduation party for my son today. Great party atmosphere and lots of fun. Thank you, Hunter, for helping us. Suggestion: book in advance and call the day before and day of for parties. We showed up and it took the staff by surprise even though I booked the party weeks ago and called yesterday. They were accommodating.
Place brings a lot of memories, my kids had a blast the price is awesome and you can byob and bring your own eats, it's Saturday and the crowd is really nice, definitely give it a shot it's well worth it
Loved it amazing atmosphere and tons of different games to play. Perfect date night!
This is a place of nostalgia! The best thing is, being able to walk in and play all the games you want! No coins, no cards, nothing, just press a button and you yourself can be the next pinball wizard! My family and I have jumped in on the reoccurring monthly pass at $50 It's totally worth it, I can go whenever I want(with or without the kids)
love this place. since I was raised in 80s & 90s this place takes me back to the good days! I was a member of this place since moving to Houston until pandemic hit. throughout the years I've taken all my kids, family, friends, everyone I've taken loves it. I need to go buy another membership ASAP. THE staff are great, games are fun, jukebox has some good old music/free. you can bring in food , you can bring in drinks , you can bring in beer. They even have a small selection of drinks & snacks there for a
I went to The Game Preserve last month for a birthday celebration. After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant, but once I went my mind was totally changed! What a fun place! You do have to bring your own food and any alcoholic drinks you might like, but they have a little store with gifts along with snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices. The place takes me back to my teenage years with the decor, and I loved the music videos playing while the disco ball spun overhead. There were a lot of great
This place is SO AWESOME!!! You truly feel like you're back in time. All the old school games, and you can play as long as you want for very little money. The Staff is awesome too????
Awesome place to get your fix on ?retro? video games and play some others that are from the beginning of time. They are in good condition and you can bring in food, drinks, and alcohol. The pricing isn't bad. I would definitely suggest coming and trying them out.
Friendly staff ??Lots of games to play! You can bring your own food and drinks. It's a great way to spend a few hours with friends/family.
Missile Command, Donkey Kong, & Street Fighter 2, is here. Pinball: Godzilla , Star Trek / Wars new machines. Need I say more? Presented in classic early 80s ambiance. Saturdays, the classics of 80's MTV play on a screen above. " You remember, 'MEMBER? " Peace!
This place is amazing if you like classic arcade games. As of this posting, the price is $15 for all-day play. Once you pay for your entrance fee all the games are free. They have everything from some more modern games like Hydro, Rush 2049, and Dance Dance Revolution to some old 60s or 70s pinball (only one was working at the time of posting but there were about 6 or 7). There is Mortal Kombat 4, TMNT, Super Mario Bros., Mario Brothers, Castlevania, Pac-man, Mrs. Pac-man, and Back to the Future Pinball. Ju
Bring the kids, or even adult friends and have some fun with a great selection of blasts from the past (80's & 90's). Majority of our group were first timers, and said multiple times they would be back. The DeLorean parked out front was a nice conversation piece too. All day fun for $15 ($10 with discount pass) is a fair and fun way to make memories without breaking the bank, especially in these times where everyone seems to be more about price hikes than people. Great place. Pick a day (except Monday) and
More games than can be played in one visit. Had a lot of fun. A few games in the back room were out of order but enough games to play with little or no wait. Pay once and play all you want.
Classic arcade games, BYOB (food, drink, alcohol, etc) with eating areas. Multiple 4 player arcade games. Loved it!
I wish I had more positive things to say, but sadly, I was left disappointed this time I went to The Game Preserve, it doesn't feel like there's a large variety of games, and a good third of the games they DO have have out of order signs plastered all over them. Plus, the music is too loud and drowns out a good majority of the arcade machines...which is what I came here to play. I don't know...it's just a bit run down and...disappointing. Perhaps their other location is better?
Had a great time. Went Saturday around lunchtime. The place was busy, but not packed. Of all the games they have (200+) I saw only 4 or 5 out of order signs. Plus I got top score for Super Mario Bros, Joust, and the Ghostbusters pinball. Oh, and thanks to the person that Rick rolled the store 4x. Pretty funny if you paid attention.
Nice place with old school video games. In my opinion I think some of the games and controls could be a little better maintained, but overall it was a really fun place for me and my family.
Great place for video games, pinball and a step back into the arcade of the 80's and 90's! Tons of games all on free play, couches to lounge, tables to eat, byob! Best place for inexpensive birthday parties or family get togethers!
Let me start off by saying I've been to Cidercade, so initially I felt this was going to be hard to top, but after visiting this location, I was more than impressed! My first impression when walking in was that it seemed a little small, at least compared to Cidercade, but the rooms go back further than one initially thinks. The game variety was super vast; I played so many unique games that Cidercade didn't have. They have a projector where you can select songs, and it plays the music video for the said so
I love that you can have food and drinks here. We have been on the monthly family plan for 5 years now. We love the staff and all the cool games. My favorites are the Guardian of the Galaxy pinball, Burger Time, Galaga and the racing games! We have had most of our son's birthday parties at this venue and everyone loves it! I am so glad they expanded the party room!
30% of the games are down, most of their games aren't the popular ones, and those games that were on half were not working well ? 15$ fee is too much, 8$ cover would be much fair until they get it right on track. I have high hopes this becomes the new ?cidercade? on our side of town but needs some good management and investment! I did like the overall vibe with the music videos playing on a large screen.
Classic arcade games and pinball. Cant beat it , family & friends bring them all. And dont forget its BYOB for the moms and dads.
Awesome place! Great price for all day play. Plenty of sanitation stations which include wipes for the machines.
I had been dying to find a REAL arcade. After finding The Game Preserve, I feel as though I've struck gold. A modest $15 fee for grants full access to dozens of vintage and refurbished arcade cabinets & pinball machines to. Even better, they offer a monthly membership plan with unlimited play and includes a generous amount of monthly guess passes each month. I subscribe regularly and find this to be excellent value! Cheap beverages and snacks are available and there's BYOB policy for responsible adults. T
This was a really cool place!!! Lots of old games from the 80s and 90s!!! We will definitely be back!!!!
This place really is the best! We had our party for our football team here and it was perfect and the kids had a blast! Cheap, excellent service and most importantly getting kids that have never seen an arcade place like us "old adults" grew up with was an awesome thing to see. These kids had a blast and all want to come back!
Super cool place to visit with knowledgeable staff. Byob and unlimited play:)
This is a really cool and nostalgic place. There are tons of pinball machines. Lots of old games from my childhood. Missing some of the classic games but I was told they rotate different games in routinely which is cool. You can bring in your own food and drinks. All games are set on free play so no need for a pocket full of quarters.
Love this place. We have had a membership for a few years and it is totally worth it as my boyfriend and I are gamers. We love going here for date night! Some employees seem like they don't really want to interact with the guests but that's okay. There are a lot of cool retro games and such a wide variety of pinball machines that you can stay entertained for hours and hours. I had my birthday party here last year and it was awesome!
Mostly great! Love the old games and atmosphere. I didn't mind seeing the occasional out of order sign, I know it's difficult to keep these old machines working. But every other pinball machine had some issue. Still love the place, though.
Good selection of 80's titles. Great for the pinball lover. Day pass a tad steep for the number of games.
While it harkened back to the days of pinball hangouts, it had many machines that needed repair. I hope they stay in business. I had a great time with my Grandson and hope to get back there.
This place is great. This should be a top ten attractions on your list. If you're contemplating over The Game Preserve or Mr. Pixels it really comes down to preference. This place has way more of a Dave and Busters energy, where Mr. Pixels is cheaper and has more of a hole in the wall aesthetic (I also like it better, but hey that's my opinion). It's $15 a person per for the day at the Game Preserve. The pinball selection is unbelievable, its almost like a museum. Love this place and I love cranking it out
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
