The Game Lounge

The Game Lounge

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the venue as a fantastic family-friendly gaming spot with a great atmosphere, diverse game options (PCs, consoles, VR, board games), and helpful staff. Many highlight it as ideal for parties or casual visits, with affordable pricing. However, a few criticize technical issues like slow internet or outdated software, and one pop-up shop event was poorly attended. Overall, it’s highly recommended despite minor drawbacks.

Customer Reviews

I found this place on Groupon. It was about 40 minutes from where we were in Conyers, but the kids wanted to go. We went in blind, but it was right where it was supposed to be based on the GPS directions. Upon entering the space, there are PCs and game systems lining the walls. There is not a lot of decor, but the kids didn't care about that. They wanted to play games. I met the CEO/general manager??I can't remember what he said his title was. He was very professional and accommodating. We purchased

Amazing experience! Martel was great, super professional and patient. He represents this business well. He told us about future programs and the whole nine. Super interested in the upcoming programs. My son enjoyed The Game Lounge so much he can wait to go back. Thank you Martel, you are a great value to this company.

We had a blast!!! 100% recommended for ages 5 and older. The kids had an amazing time. Will definitely be back.

I love going there with my family great place for all ages and the best part was my kids where's able to play a lot of systems because it's not crowded yet and the 2 comic con is a great idea . I love that you can play nerf war in there on certain days .

This was an awesome place to have my son?s surprise party. The owner and staff were very attentive to the wants and needs I had to ensure the best experience for the children. If you are looking for a safe and clean place to host a party this is the one!

Great spot to bring your little gamer. Very spacious, plenty of devices. My son and his friends enjoyed the Oculus. I love they have regular board games and air hockey for the non gamer. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will return.

Brought my son and his best friend here for some fun. They absolutely LOVED everything about this place. Plenty of systems and games to choose from. Great vibes. Friendly staff. They even had VR which was amazing!!. I definitely recommend this place if you or your kids love gaming. My kids are already asking to go back!

This place has such a calm and quiet atmosphere when it 1st opens. I visited for the 1st time on a Friday when it 1st opened. The managers there were well-informed, courteous, attentive, and friendly. I didn't play any games but inquired about the prices, which were rather affordable (somewhere around $10 or $15 hourly for playing on a PC of console... Please contact them for more info). I look forward to returning, and they don't provide snacks yet but said a kitchen and bar will eventually be added. I. CA

We had a great time and will be back. It wasn't busy (a blessing) and the customer service was wonderful. Definitely a place for the whole family

One of the best places I took my kids. They love gaming and the had a great time. Even if you're not gaming, you can make reservations to rent out the other side for events or parties. Definitely going back when I'm back in GA.

It was a wonderful experience for my grands...We had a ball and I enjoyed seeing everyone having a great time....I paid for two hours and ended up buying another hour...Yes we will be back and I highly recommend it for parties or just to hangout.. they also have great prices at concession stand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
