Had a wonderful time playing pinball, talking with the person working (drawing a blank on a name!) and drinking Cherry Coke Zero?s. Love the whole setup here. Pinball was awesome; found it by using the pinball app. Thanks for a good time

The Escape Gamebar is home to a fantastic collection of pinball machines as well as great escape rooms. I have been a bit of a regular since the location added pinball games about a year ago and I've participated in basically every tournament or pinball event they've held there. I finally took the opportunity to play the blackbeard's booty escape room with my wife and it was a ton of fun. I will also attest that I've seen a dozens of other groups of people go in and out of rooms (while I was playing pin

The escape room was so cool. I loved how the live actor was really a unique touch that makes it so much better than other escape rooms. I loved that the clue system is different too and each person has secret side quests. Will definitely be coming back.

I have never been to an escape room. The Escape Gamebar is more than an escape room. It's a collection of several escape rooms, a cool bar, a big comfortable space to socialize and enjoy board games provided by the proprietor, a few video games, and a beautiful collection of well maintained pinball machines. I was enticed by their monthly Monday night pinball tournament. Pinball has made a big resurgence in the last few years, and Escape Gamebar is quickly becoming one of the ?places to go? for pinball in

My group did the Al Catraz room with Jess and Jordan both running the room. It was super fun! We got out in 42 minutes and both Jess and Jordan were super helpful. We enjoyed the puzzles and how immersive the setting was.

Kids and I had a good time. Awesome pinball machine collection! We will have to check out the escape room next time!

Jess was incredible, she helped us as needed and was an all around bop. I'd definitely come back

Good place to play some newer stern machines. There is a tv with the leaderboard for all machines there. The machines do need some tweaking though to play better: 1. Jaws is angled strongly to the left. This makes it impossible to hit the skill shots, makes some of the shots less clean, and makes the ball move eratically at low speeds. This made the game significantly less enjoyable. The tilt is pretty sensitive since a gentle nudge can give 1-2 dangers. 2. Jurrasic Park and Deadpool are angled slightly to

Had a great time playing pinball there. They have Deadpool, jaws, Godzilla, Jurassic park, and Stranger things. Just a heads up it's on the second floor. Definitely worth a visit!

We hosted a team building event here and from the feedback we received from our team it was a very successful event! Dan made the booking experience a breeze. The rooms were fun and the Speakeasy Room with the live actor was a hit with our team! We also did the facilitation workshop with Chad Hull. It was a great experience for our company. We would definitely do it again.

We did escape from Alcatraz and it was somewhat difficult but so fun. Ashley was a great game master and was very helpful without giving hints away easily. She also has great energy. The place is super cute too!!

Had a super fun time here! Definitely one of my top fav escape rooms. Randall was AMAZING, such a great game master. A positive attitude goes a long way and Randall definitely made the day even brighter. 100% Exceeded expectations! Can't wait to come back.

Very fun. Clean and well kept premises.

We had really fun solving the puzzles and following the clues and were able to solve it 3 minutes earlier.

We did an escape from the wild west and it was extremely fun. Definitely recommend.

i had a great time even though king tut was a little difficult to find. Shout out to Ashley for assisting me and my team!!

Randall is AWESOME!!! Request him if you can, but this was the best escape room experience by far!!!!!

Love this place. I've done both the The Escape from Alcatraz and the Al Capone speakeasy. Can't wait to get back and do the others.

Great service! Hosted my group and the students had a great time. Love the renovated space.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
