The Edge

The Edge

Reviews Summary

The Edge offers mixed experiences with some fun attractions like laser tag and go-karts, but many reviews highlight broken arcade games, poor service, and overpriced activities. Food service is often slow, with complaints about stale or poorly prepared meals. While some visitors enjoy the variety of activities and helpful staff, others find the facility outdated and poorly managed. High prices and malfunctioning equipment are frequent frustrations, though laser tag consistently receives praise. Overall, satisfaction depends heavily on which attractions are operational during visits.

We drove 2 hours to try this place with the kids a few weekends ago. It's dirty ,when you first walk in you definitely notice. It's extremely over priced. None of the attractions worked except for the go karts and bumper cars. Only about 1/3 of the arcade games worked. Once we got tickets for the bumper cars/go karts and saw what we were dealing with, everyone wanted to leave and go somewhere else. We spent over $70 for 2 adults and 2 kids to ride the bumper cars and go karts twice! I asked the front for a

Rude staff and lazy staff. Saying whenever the staff show up then that's when they can open up the go karts. Which wouldn't be until 2-2:30pm or whenever they decide to. Plus bumper cars don't open until 5-6 pm. Crazy! Why open at 12 with only the game room and movies open! I would not recommend them to anyone . Plus they are pricey!! They didn't open up go karts until 4 pm !!!! Sad.

I can't visit this place often enough! Honestly, every time I go, I have a great time. The atmosphere is perfect for my children, and there's also a fantastic area for adults like me. The location is always clean, and everyone is nice ? it truly creates a wonderful environment for my experience. While I can't speak for anyone else, I think it's awesome! They literally have a little bit of everything to make the best out of any situation.

I spent a fantastic day with my teenage children. Surprisingly, I even had a great time. We bought the summer unlimited day special. The special $30 per person price included laser tag, go-carts, and bumper cars. Although I am older and not so in shape, it was an enjoyable time! Laser tag was a cardio workout; we were all sweaty when we were done. Ensure you wear shoes and no flip-flops; another guest was turned away. We spent around $90. It can get expensive to enjoy all The Edge has to offer. This loca

Half of the machines are out of order. Three of the machines that we played needed an out of order sign because they took our kid's money. The go carts were also backed up due to mechanical issues with a cart(s). The place looks and feels like 1980. It could really use some updates. I'd recommend going to Dogwood in Ofallon for arcades in this area.

Arcade was fun, and the go karts were a lot better than I thought, me and my lady had a fun time. We went to get food and got sat down at a booth. 20 minutes goes by and no body has come by to even ask what we want to drink, I had to go up to the hostess and tell them to get someone over to table so we could order. Finally someone comes over and takes our order, and gives the stupid excuse of, ?sorry I didn't see yall?. We got our drinks and ordered food, too which it took an even longer time. The food was

Great place for a date night movie. We came for the bistro theater. The theater was very clean and well kept. We ordered some food to eat during the movie and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious. Although we didn't have time to enjoy the other amenity?s, they also have a really nice bar and restaurant as well as arcades, laser tag, and go carts. I highly recommend everyone checking this place out.

I enjoyed the Edge. Laser tag and go carts is what we did.We also played the video games.

Today I went to this place with my middle school students. Initially we were told before management changed that our school was the only group. Instead we show up and there were two other school groups there. While being at this place go karts were breaking down here and there which affected my middle school students waiting longer times. Several arcade machines were broken which did not look good. They said that the pizza for our group was going to be out by 12:30 PM and did not come to later with being sh

Had a birthday party here for my son. The staff were great and did everything they could do within their power. 1/2 of the games were broken or if they were working they didn't have prizes in them. It was so hot in the party room, the icing on the cake was melting. The boys loved the laser tag and go carts but everything else was subpar especially for the money I had to pay for a party package.

My wife and I came to the bistro on a Friday night. It wasn't overwhelming busy for a Friday, but we had to wait over an hour between ordering our food and receiving it. The taste was far from being worth the wait. When the check came, 20% gratuity was already added in, though our service did not warrant such. We will not be returning for such poor service and food.

There were a lot of games out of order, and all 4 ski balls were out of order ??. Go karts was fun, though. They have a restaurant, movie and bowling as well. We will be back. Hopefully, I can pay ski ball next time. ??

To begin, half of the arcade was broken. The men's bathroom has no mirrors, and you can see into the arcade from the sinks. Not very private at all. They got rid of refills, so anytime you run out and want more, you have to completely pay for an entire new drink. They also have a "18+ to enter without a guardian" policy which they pick and choose when to enforce. This was a place made for kids and teenagers, though it's not like that anymore. They completely focus on the bar portion and give zero attention

I loved it there, though there are a few minor problems. Every time i go the photo booth isn't working, and some other games are out of order. Overall, i always have a blast. Laser tag is the best, go karts is kind of dangerous though, never do go karts when theres adults.

My grandson liked playing the games, but I missed the dining/bar area. I thought it was better for the whole family before now.

It's nice way to waste an evening if you've got nothing to do and you have money to spend. We were sat down and the waitress never appeared. 25 minutes had past until we notified the hostess and It wasn't until Sanaya, the hostess, personally made sure we were tended to. She was great. If it wasn't for her we would've walked out but if you aren't pressed for time then it's a nice place to eat and play.

Most games are down and out of service. Paid for unlimited go carts, bumper cars, laser tag? kids waited an hour in line to play laser tag. Go carts were worse. At one point they all stopped running. This place is on the back end of its life.

I hosted a party and spent $1,000 with The Edge to book their private space upstairs. The space was not cleaned from a previous party the night before and the bathrooms were a mess. I reached out twice only to be ignored. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

I went with a group of four and we were all disappointed. The staff were friendly and kind, but everything else was weird. First, the food was below mediocre. I had a burger which was good but the rest of what we ordered wasn't good. The lettuce was partially red and spoiled. The pizza was super thin and not the best. The restaurant area was filthy and the booths had crumbs everywhere. The food gave us all stomachaches. We also waited about 45 minutes when we were the only people that ordered food for a wh

This place has so much potential but falls far short. Let's start with the bowling. We signed up for an hour and with 16 min left of our hour we decided we wanted to extend. The only person that was upstairs was gone for over 25 min and our game time ran out without our ability to continue so we lost our game. The bowling area is in need of updating. My husband?s shoes didn't have a tongue, one of the pins was literally broken in half, and the balls all had chips in them. We went downstairs to then do the

My family and I came in 02/15/2025 and had an absolute horrible experience from the time we arrived, til we left. The entire staff were unfriendly, unprofessional and made myself and family, including children incredibly uncomfortable. The bar staff were rude and uncommunicative. The servers rolled their eyes and behaved as though we annoyed them, or somehow irritated them. It got to the point were I gathered my family and left the establishment because the wait staff refused to service us. To come here all

My wife and I had our first date here many years ago, but it has gone downhill since. Half of the arcade games were broken when we visited today, and staff would not refund the money we put onto a game card. If you are looking for an arcade, go elsewhere.

I found this place by simply googling things to do fun with kids in St. Louis and this pulled up. Bought our fun pack on Groupon. Walked in and laser tag was out of order at that time. The young lady then said we can only use the Groupon tickets when Lasertag became available again. I explained to her we were from another state and we would not be returning to the IL area for some time. She spoke with her manager and he asked what other attractions would I like to do multiple times. We told him and he made

Went to Groupon and got a great deal for myself and nieces and nephews! Seems like there were less games than last year. And a good amount were not working. But still a fun time.

Very fun! Lazer tag was awesome, bumper cars were amazing, and helpful staff but most arcade games were out of order and the go-karts were fun but they hurt ??

4 stars for arcade. If I could give zero stars for the restaurant, I would. I also emailed the below through the "contact us" option on the website but it seems to have gone to spam so here is my experience: I have visited The Edge a few times with my 5-year old daughter and we have had great experiences in the arcade area. The last time we visited was December 27, 2024 and we noticed a few new machines and games which we spent about 2 hours enjoying. All of the interactions with the arcade staff have been

They were understaff for a field trip. They had our school and another one! Pizza was late coming out and had to leave with the pizza but they kids enjoyed it and the manager was cool!!

The Edge offers several types of entertainment, making it Belleville's one-stop-shop for going out. They offer movies (traditional theater or in a bistro with seat-side service), a sports bar and restaurant, a full arcade, laser tag, bowling, bumper cars, and a race track. The business (used to be called Vespers) has been a Belleville staple for decades. I hope to see management kick it up a notch so it can continue to provide Belleville with so much entertainment. Since the pandemic, service has been sub-p

I promised my son I would take him to have some fun. Boy was I wrong. Every game was either down or barely worked. He swiped his card on several games that didn't work and loss money. We loaded his card with $50 and he had to replay several games over and over due to games being out of service. This place needs a serious revamp because I definitely won't be going back with it operating this way.

i went here w my boyfriend on friday last week and was highly highly disappointed like this place is my childhood i?ve lived here my whole life and seeing it go downhill is really sad when i went later in the night 70% of the machines were not working, if they said they were working they would just take ur money and the game wouldn't turn on or work like all the ski ball machines were broke. and that's my favorite and like the air hockey took money from me without giving me a puck like really ridiculous. he

Great fun for kids and adults. Staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. We will visit again.

The new Lazertag upgrades are awesome and the young staff running the arcade side of things are doing an excellent job! I have a ten year old son and we have been 3 times since September. If you visit and skip the lazertag you are really missing out! It's affordable and really what the Edge does better than any other place I have ever been! #lazertag

Not one for bad reviews, but this place needs a renovation. The majority of the arcade games are out of order, the ones working stop in the middle of play or land on win and don't pay out. The go carts are cool but malfunction, so you never really go a complete round without stopping. The laser tag area is big and really the only reason for the trip. My advice would be to avoid buying game cards all together. Or maybe just find a better place to take the kiddos.

We just hosted a surprise 50th birthday party there for my sister in the banquet room and everything was top notch! Brad was a great event planner, the bar staff was fantastic and the food was delicious! It was a large party and it went off without a hitch! We will definitely be back and recommend it to all our friends and family!

Dinner visit 2/24/24.*** This is about the third time we've eaten here. We came for bowling but it was closed for an event. Dinner was going to be a 45 minute wait, but the manager got us something quicker when she heard us say we were leaving for Bennies. I had the Edge signature burger. It was good but I was the only one who liked my dinner. The kids food is as plain as imaginable and my daughter took 2 bites and said it tasted like cardboard. My wife said hers was way too salty to finish. We were charged

Little grungy on the outside but really cool on the inside. The laser tag and go carts were crazy fun. Great for groups, lots to do.

We are here for my neices birthday party, 1/3 of the games are out of order, the cupcakes are stale and no decoration not even a table cloth i can think of better ways to spend $400 on your kids party beware parents!

We went for my son 10th birthday he was very excited. Soon as we walked in we were disappointed it did not give off a good impression for kids it looked very old and ragged. There was no place to sit the games were broken or missing balls I was not able to get a refund. My kids loved the laser tag out of everything

Fun place for the kiddos to unwind, have fun, eat good food. Games, bumper cars, race car track, theater ?? ??

01.14.23 We went with a group of 8. All adults. Its been more than a year since the last time there. None of our group was impressed....some was their 1st time. We did laser tag, Go-Karts, tried to bowl, had lunch. The karts were the most disappointing. Very difficult to turn....super slow... suppose to be mario kart style game driving... not explained well before driving so that the experience would be worth it and im not sure if my buttons even worked. On to laser tag.... had I not played other places

My son had a birthday party and the staff was really nice . Rachel and the young lady that helped me was so helpful her name I think was Aiden . The staff that worked Sat on June 12 between the hours of 12 pm- 3 pm was so helpful. My son had a great experience

$10 Mondays is a fantastic movie deal, took my girlfriend and her brother and we all had a great time. So much to do here

First time visiting a we had a blast! The 3 activity pass was great for my niece and nephews. Very neat, family friendly facility

Decent place. Arcade was disappointing. Less than half of games were operating, we counted. Everything else seemed good.

This is a the place to see with the family they have a little bit for everyone to do. They have games for the kids. To, watching the big game on the maximize tv and smaller tv around it for dad in the bar area. For, mom their is a spot for her to chill. The Lazer tag room is over the top and the go carts are nice must see and do when your in the Belleville, IL area.

Several machines not working properly, and kept having to go find workers. Otherwise, it's a great place to hang out with family. This was my first visit.

This place isn't teenager friendly at all me and my friends went in and couldn't even go past the gate, they change the age limit to be by yourself almost every month changing it from 16+ to be alone to 18+ and there's been countless times boys who I know for a fact are younger then me get to go in without proving their 16 but a female has to prove it almost every time, for this to be an arcade the fact that teenagers have to be with an adult who most likely doesn't wanna stay and be with their kid the whol

Started off bad and just got worse. We waited 40 mins for a table, we were only sat after checking in with the host station and found out they were sitting a group that came in after us. Then we waited over an hour for our food for them to forget the pizza. Our food came out cold. I had the 5 alarm burger, it had potential but the bun had been under the heater for so long that it was toasted and hard. The onion rings were cold. My husband's pasta had begun to separate and he was able to drain a significant

Would be 0 stars if possible. Close the kitchen never consider opening it again. We waited 2 hours to get half of the food. Waitress came to the table every half an hour. Clock is still ticking and still missing one of our food items.

This place will certainly put you on edge. The service was terrible and many of the amenities were broken. However, the bar had excellent service and a friendly staff. Save yourself the trouble and find another venue.

Fun place and the games are fairly priced. $50 can go a long way here and surprisingly the go karts are super fun.

We are not from Belleville. My family really enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere was great. The employees were very helpful. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. Thank you, KC.

Laser tag was mediocre. Half the time everyone was stuck the same color and the teenager in charge wouldn't reset them. Was too many people in there which made it not so fun as every 1 or 2 steps was inevitable

Always a good time when I take my daughter or go with friends and family. Great deals and a good time!

I thoroughly enjoy bringing my family to this place. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the laser tag and movie theater are also great. My family and I recently watched the new Transformers movie. However, I have one suggestion: kids who are speed demons should not be allowed to continue using the go-karts. If they are witnessed speeding, they should be immediately removed from the track.

Took my daughter and some of her friends. They had a great time with laser tag, go-karts, arcade games, and pizza in the restaurant.

Free bingo was new to me. My date claimed we didn't have to eat or drink, so 40.00 later was an interesting surprise. They play different types of bingo than just 4 squares or one row, so heads up.

Very rude lady at the front , told her my son was 9 & turned 10 tomorrow and we drove from afar and said he couldn't drive Go Karts because he didn't turn 10 til tomorrow. Didn't care how far we drove , act like she couldn't make an exception, very rude!!

I have been here 5 times since May. My comment is solely about the Bistro. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is. The food is always cold, and staff is always complaining. It is 6 of us, so you can imagine how much we are spending on food. The rest of the establishment is fine. The Bistro definitely has to do better if they would like to continue to receive my business. One time the lights stayed on through the whole movie.

My daughter and I came into town for a bit and needed to let loose and have some fun, so we tried this out. We had a great time! The bumper cars were awesome with the spin function and all of the cars moving around for a time, even without people in them. My daughter rode the 4x virtual reality thing and took a trip down the Great Wall of China. She LOVED it! We played a bunch of games in the arcade and even managed to get a rubber ball from the claw machine. The VR/bumpercar/go cart staff were all extrem

OMG we have been quarantine most of this covid and my children had a blast. Best part everyone was socially distancing the staff I watch clean everything that the guest had touched. They were on top of their job with sanitizing everything their energy with interacting with us was very powerful to me in spite of where we're at in the world just saying and everybody there was so kind I just want to let you all know that if you want to go somewhere safe clean 6 ft distancing go to the edge I really enjoyed mys

Great place with everything for everyone! Restaurant, laser tag, Go-Karts, arcade, bowling and a great selection of beers and adult beverages!

Huge facility with great offerings for family fun. Great service and their food is really good. The cheese curds are a must!

This place was so fun! It's an indoor wonderland for all young and old. A sweet surprise was the amazing choice of craft beers on tap and food that was actually delicious! I loved watching my boys laugh in delight at all the games, bumper cars and more they had to offer. Everything seemed so new and clean. We will be back ??

The Edge is so much fun as a twenty-something year old. We played a few rounds of laser tag, which was a GREAT workout and even went around once in the go karts. I've never done go karts that had Mario-Kart like power ups and whatnot. So much fun! Plus, their drinks and food were ????.

We have been a customer for years and this evening was beyond disappointing!! 4 out of 8 meals came out burnt, food came out 20 min apart, waitress was nonexistent! Got the manager involved and was told that the food was acceptable and that they couldn't do much to make it better other than offer game cards. The discount we got was laughable for a party of 8! Won't be back unfortunately.

Upgrades to the laser tag vests, guns, and HUGE arena made it more entertaining than before! Go karts and bumper cars always entertaining.

Dining experience sucks. They were out of everything. Took forever. Fries horrible. The rest...meh. Movie experience sucks. Uncomfortable seats. 3d that looked the same with glasses as without. Do not recommend.

Gonna break this down into Staff and Food - we went there to see the new Dead Pool movie. There were 3 of us in the "Bistro" theater. We were so excited - 2nd opening day weekend - first showing and "low and behold" we had our pick of seats! (Should have been a CLUE right there) Going to order food and drinks - Big Time for us. STAFF - ALL encounters were apathetic - theater staff and bar tenders could less about their jobs. Both were not even bare minimum efforts. (Barely basic service = interactions had t

We were vacationing in St. Louis with our 4 kids and decided to come to The Edge in hopes of a fun evening. The only reason I gave 3 stars was due to the fact the place was decently clean and the lady that ran the lazer tag, was super nice! Otherwise, the rest of the employees were extremely rude...acted as if everything was a burden to them. We got an attitude when we asked to ride the bumper cars, attitude when exchanging tickets and got told that the VR game only worked if they weren't busy and something

Great place for children. This is my first here. I had to wait 45min to get served after I asked four different people for service. When I finally got served the bar tender was very rude and mean, but was nice to people of her color. Her name is Candice and she needs a reality check. Y'all need to do better with the choosing the people you guys hire.

Laser tag was probably the best thing there, but other than that the go carts wouldn't work right and the track was extremely small, a lot of the arcade games were outa order, and it just felt like there wasn't much to do. But I had fun mostly because I was spending time with my son.

Drove over an hour to get there. When arriving there was a sign taped to the door saying 9-5 private party only. Get inside not alot of people inside at all. Walk back outside there is many groups talking about this same thing. More people outside not allowed in then inside. Like why loose money every other spot like this allows people inside even with a birthday party happening. Poorly managed place. Our group and 2 others stated it was over an hour drive to be denies. Nothing online saying the location is

Had a pretty awful experience when we were about to play laser tag and a group of teenagers started yelling racial slurs at other people and the clerk in charge did absolutely nothing about it. Will not be coming back here

My wife and I brought our son to see a pg-13 Red One movie on Friday night. Paid $50 bucks online and when we tried to get into the movie we were denied because our son was a minor. Lost our money because they do not let kids watch movies in the same theater that they sell beer. It's a pg 13 movie about Santa Clause being kidnapped and they are denying kids. Waste of money, terrible experience, never going back!!

I came to the Edge just to hang out in the arcade and I was not disappointed. My family has so many good memories of this place and it was great to come in and play some big video games. The King Kong Virtual Reality ?ride? costs $7 and is worth it!!

Movie theater is very nice. Smaller than the AMC, etc. Service was outstanding from the time we walked in the door. Popcorn was exceptionally good. Prices are comparable to the big theatres. Bring your credit card for the arcade games. It's hard to say no to the grandkids. Plenty for kids to do and seems to be a very safe environment. Restroom was clean.

Very expensive for limited activities, couldn't do go carts because was wearing flip flops, the restaurant was a horrible experience. watched 3 tables who came in way after us, get their food before ours. the brownie a la mode was SO HARD I couldn't cut it with a knife. laser tag was a fun family experience, did not do theater or bowling but I wouldn't recommend this establishment after this entire experience

A mass amount of games were out of order, even the skittles machine was was down for service. My 3 grandchildren were very disappointed as I was. The new look is good buy maybe look into hiring a better maintenance worker. Hopefully things will get better there.

Only 1 polite staff member in the building which was our server at dinner, even though he was extremely stressed because while everyone else was standing around doing nothing he was running around like crazy. Sure our food took awhile and some drink orders were missed but he did the best he could for the situation he was in. Now when it comes to the arcade prepare to be disappointed as half the games are out of service or do not work. Literally every other game possibly more than half did not work. Go-karts

Went today with a group of 6 kids and 6 adults and it was a great experience. We spent about 3 hours. Everyone had fun and the staff was great. Highly recommend and we will come back another time.

I asked for a wine menu, then sat down at a table. 10-minutes later, the next table was seated with 6 guests. All six placed their orders and were served drinks BEFORE any waitress even approached me. I finally had to ask about ordering a drink, without ever being acknowledged by any wait staff. It took a total of 25-minutes to get a simple glass of wine! Very poor wait staff service.

My experience at the Edge was nothing but a trip to Hell. The workers are very rude and did not advise us beforehand that minors could not stay without a PARENT. Instead, letting the kids spend their money then attempting to kick them out whilst doing what they paid for. This place has gone downhill since the early 2010?s. Along with this the workers are HORRIBLE. I believe who was the manager was being a adult toddler trying to remove children that were over the age of 17. The interaction that put the cher

I think I ate too much. ?? I really enjoyed our very 1st visit. My Daughter said see, we found a place we both can enjoy.

Took my wife and son on a Saturday evening. The majority of the games did not work. So we went to get a table to eat dinner and the hostess sat us down but never returned to get our drink order. After about 20 mins we just walked out. Definitely not a good experience.

I was only one at the bar for a couple hours. Asked for different music than rap and was ignored.

Not what it use to be. Half of the games are broke down and the prices are way too high. $6.25 for a Large fountain drink and way less deals on entertainment.

My own Charlie's Angel's they ?? them cars

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?
