The Dugout Arcade + Bar

Reviews Summary

The Dugout Arcade is generally praised for its diverse game selection, affordable pricing, and welcoming atmosphere, with many highlighting rare Japanese cabinets and rhythm games. Staff friendliness and unique offerings like food trucks add to the positive experience. However, some criticize broken or poorly maintained machines and lack of drink holders, affecting gameplay. Customer Reviews

I have visited the arcade many times with friends but and one of my wedding clients really love going to arcades today and wanted to incorporate that into their session. So I reached out to see if they would be okay with my taking some engagment photos in their space. They were super friendly and helpful. Here are just a few of the awesome shots from the session

Absolutely loved it here!! Great arcade with great game selections, and I had a great time at this arcade!! They even offer free water in case you get thirsty while playing. Overall, this place was amazing and I want to come back ?? 10/10

Love video games, has a bar for the drinkers and food as well. Card players have a spot. Games games games.

From rhythm games, pinball, and classic retro games. You really can't beat The Dugout Arcade! Based off a one time payment ($12 weekdays, $15 weekends & 1/2 off if you have the membership) you are free to browse around and play and game you want, and the selection has something for everyone. If you want a full list of games look up "The Dugout Arcade Tour" on YouTube! Save Point really kills it and you can tell the passion that Eric and his team really provide for this arcade. It's such a natural place to

OMG the multiple dance and rhythm games were so much more fun than I expected! But maybe brush up on your Japanese before you come. ??

There were way too many out of order machines for the price you pay, and no one who can help repair. Was not worth the price that night. Sadly disappointed. Arcades need constant upkeep. This is not a new concept. Three stars because at least there still was a selection, but found myself more disappointed as I went on. I wish that wasn't the case, as I was waiting over two months to come here for my birthday. If I wanted to be in an arcade with a bunch of broken arcade machines, I'll go to a mall. At least

Forget the freakin' alcohol, it's time to play some retro arcade games! Well.. some of them (for now). If you want to drink, I'm sure you'll be covered too. I feel compelled enough after my mixed experience to leave a review. I visited twice now! The arcade has amazing potential but it unfortunately has MANY inaccessible, broken machines (arcade cabinets + pinball), either completely unplayable or some have monitors that are so damaged with very poor colors, which all contribute to this low review. I've been to a fair amount of Barcades, and this one was a bit disappointing. The selection was decent for the price, with a few excellent games and quite a few "meh" ones. My biggest gripe is the lack of drink holders or anywhere to set your drink. You end up having to ask the people you're with to hold your drink, which makes playing together nearly impossible. It's a Barcade, after all?there should be safe spots for drinks (not on top of machines, the floor, or just the bar).

Amazing selection at a great price. They even have the original Monkey Ball and a Rhythm Tengoku cabinet.

Man, this spot is a dream come true for me. A place where you can get a drink and play arcade all damn day. Pump it Up and King of Fighter 2003 I'm geeking.

My experience with Dug-out Arcade has, in all honesty, surpassed that of Round 1.

My daughter found this spot online. Great family fun. The burger food truck parked outside was absolutely Delicious

Honestly a hidden gem of Baltimore with classic and well known Japanese arcade cabinets and rhythm machines.

I call and call noone answers there phone for questions

Love the haterade and friendly staff

I had a blast visiting this arcade - for a $15 cover charge, you have access to all of the games and can play as many times as you want (depending on how busy it is). The atmosphere and energy are very welcoming, as well. Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?
