Cute games room inside the Grand Traverse Resort. Mini bowling was my favorite. They have a bar in there too. Ax throwing available. Went with my Valentine.
So much fun! Some friends came up from downstate so we decided to show them the resort. We were able to get a spot at The Den for Axe Throwing. It was a blast! Definitely worth the trip.
Brought some family members here on a rainy day. We did everything: the escape room, axe throwing, arcade games, and bowling. We had a lot of fun. The escape room is a small, two-room chamber, and it flies by at a half hour session. We solved it fairly quickly, but had such a good time, we ended up booking more escape rooms in the area. The axe throwing was as-expected, and the hour is more than enough time to get your fill. I took off one star for the bowling and arcade games. The bowling is mini bowling,
It was not anything it seemed online, expensive just leave with nothing. Only did the arcade and it was a rip off. Picked up prizes on 4 different occasions and each claw dropped it when it fully grabbed it. Wasn't worth what we paid.
Typically loudness for an arcade/entertainment area. The axe throwing area was small, with only two lanes. There were only four chairs total, so if you have more than two per lane, there isn't room for those not throwing. There are not many options for food later in the day. Restaurants were closed.
We had fun with our friends, but I think it was more about the time spent with friends than the experience with the venue. The game room was much smaller than the website makes it seem. We did the escape room. The staff was extremely friendly and let us begin early, but the escape room itself wasn't that impressive. It's a 25 minute experience that we finished with 8 minutes to spare. 3 out of the 5 in our party had never done an escape room before. They enjoyed it, but in my experience there are better one
The escape room was super fun! They give you the option to start with clues or not so you can make it easy or hard. The arcade is a bit small, with only a few types of games, but kids will still have a good time, especially with the VR options. It's a small space, but they did well with it.
It was fun. My kids and myself enjoyed the mini bowling. My only complaint is I thought the credits for some of the games in there was a little high, other than that it's a nice little arcade.
The customer service was OK but I thought the prices were way too high and and there wasn't a lot of arcade games but arcade games they spent a lot of money and didn't really get to do anything but that's just me that's when we laughed and went to great wolf lodging. Sorry it's nothing against the place itself it's just not a very big arcade.
It' ok. We like the mini bowling alley. I may have to try the axe throwing at some point. Just disappointed the little bar in there was closed. Plenty of other arcade machines in there too.
Date night fun and also just entertaining without being so overwhelmed
Only came here for axe throwing, was a really good time. Got a small tutorial and off we went. There is also an arcade and some bowling and stuff too which we did not do.
Fun for all ages. The claw machines seem to change nightly. The VR machines were a hit with our children!
Axe throwing , virtual games , escape room , small ball bowling and arcades . ( may have alcoholic drinks ) kid friendly .
Came for axe throwing and it was awesome!
A fun arcade with axe throwing, skeeball bowling, virtual reality games and a bar. Not just for kids.
The escape room was fun. Didn't expect it to be as expensive as it was. Overall worth it.
Wish there was a larger variety of video games here, but still had a great time!
Very good place to shop very clean.
Ax throwing is so fun
Excellent cheese bread!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
