Really cool spot. Full bar with several of their own specials which includes frozen drinks and a massive tap list. They have a full kitchen and the food was great. Service was on point and we didn't sit very long with an empty glass. They do karaoke (not sure the nights) and they are an arcade- decent mix of old school games and some newer ones. Place was packed when we went, but there is plenty of space and they have some long communal style tables.
This place was so good and on point with Bloody Mary's,..butt they have rotators so we had the Margarita which was cinnamon AMAZING. AND the mule was Spicy Apple Cider. The vibe was chill. After 8pm only 21+ so I like that also.
New to the area, was looking for an arcade to take the kiddos. Decent bar food (pizza, chicken). Arcade games were cool, more of a bar than arcade but we still had a fun time. Overall good vibe.
Wait staff is great. Food is fantastic. Little pricey for game and wish they would fix pool table. Almost every game needed assistance from waitress to get a stuck ball.
The food is always great, and it's nice to make new friends there. I spend a lot of time playing pinball with a group of people and it's a fun time! I enjoy the fact that they have a responsive tech that can get to fixing issues with the machines with a quick turnaround. This is a place I really enjoy taking out of town visitors and other friends and family!
Looking for a bar with arcade games and pool in north eastern Colorado Springs? The Control Room is the place to be! They have games ranging from old school Pump (similar to DDR), basketball, air hockey, Pac Man, Galliga, pool, etc. all of which are in working order so that's awesome since a lot of bars with arcade games I have been to have seen some abuse and it shows. They also have an impressive drink menu and all the cocktails we ordered were made deliciously. I highly recommend the Long Island Ice T
Eh honestly the pizza used to be phenomenal years ago, now eh dropped standards. Great place for cheese fries but could taste that the burger was frozen as well as the chicken which even makes me not want the chicken bacon salad knowing they serve under par frozen chicken. Good place for a drink and fries but it's 2025 need to bring the standards up.
There is a pinball tournament every 1st and 3rd Monday I go to at the Control Room. The owners, Barbi and her husband are really awesome and have been amazing to us pinheads. Karaoke nights have some talented singers as regulars. I have never had a bad time at the control room. The bathrooms are clean. All of the food is really good. I recommend anything on their menu. The Pesto Pizza is my favorite.
The food here was fantastic. But the service was awful. We didn't get so much as an offer to refill our drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The food took an exceptionally long time to come out even though the place had very few patrons. For an unknown reason, it seemed like the bartender was ignoring us. Only when I actively called him over did we get the chance to cash out so we could leave.
I was having a good time until the dj started playing nazi battle music. I thought this was weird and surely everyone else here thought this was crazy. After looking around no less than 8 people were doing a salut or cheering for what was going on and nobody else seemed upset about it. Weirdest feeling I have ever had at a bar. Would not recommend to anyone ever.
10/10 would not recommend especially for people of color. Should've know better from the area but we were asked to leave prior to any questions as to what was happening came out of there DOORMANS mouth which leads me to believe it's because my party was all African American so we were automatically assumed as the issue. When a patron told one of my members to shut up and naturally she got confronted of course she had nothing to say other then someone call the doorman. We left happily and will not be back:)
Great fun. I haven't experienced the adult only times, but I bring the kids for a daddy date. They love it every time. One minus for losing quarters on two machines(but told the bar tender and got our quarters back), and one was out of order.
There are not too many barcades out this way, so this is a great spot to go hang out, a decent amount of games, and air hockey and skiball. Didn't eat anything this time, so I can't say anything about their food. Overall clean nice environment and outside patio, also pool tables and music box. I am also posting pictures of all the machines, if not most. To me, it's a very important thing as I love to game. I will be back to try out the food and get a better idea of how it is overall.
This is a good place to go to play some retro games and have some food. The food is pretty good but it might take a little bit of time to get it. It is worth the wait. Bring cash to get quarters to play the games. It would be nice if they had a different system to pay to play, if you are prepared the quarters work. Just remember that many of the games will be more than one quarter. It is 21 and above after 8pm.
My favorite place to go out in the springs, they have all the best old games, the bartenders rock it every night. I never go without a drink in my hand and food in my belly. I love the food! The outdoor area with the fire pit is nice to get away from the karaoke. I like going during the weeknights when no one is there and they stay open till 2am!
This place is dope. They have all kinds of cool arcade games. They even use old quarters. It's like being back in the 90s. The food can be ordered at your table. Definitely recommend.
This arcade bar is great. It has the closest feel of the arcades of old. I had fun tonight singing karaoke. The staff and patrons are really friendly.I highly recommend this place as a fun hang out.
Good food (I had pizza), great games, and very nice service.
Love going to the control room. I come here mainly for the pinball but they got some good games too. Food and drinks are also great. My ONLY complaint is that I wish they would get the Stern Insider Connected kit for their Stranger Things Pinball Machine so all of us pinball players can track our achievements.
It's a pretty good barcade. But a lotta their games could use some repair. Their 4 player Pacman, for example, has had non responsive joysticks for a while. But overall, pretty good.
Amazing staff, fun atmosphere, and good drinks. We really enjoy playing all the arcade games. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for some fun!
As I Co native I was immensely disappointed with how I was treated by the bar tenders. Number 1. I was attended on like I was a burden and like I didn't deserve to be attended on. I then spent $75 dollars on 3 whiskey shots. I really don't understand why whom I was waited in thinks that that ego is more important than service but I will be connecting with a GM. And btw you're not cute darlings you made it seem like such a ghetto bar.
My chicken caesar salad was alright. The other foods at our table looked & smelled Amazing. Hubby's pizza was remarkable! The mixed drinks & beers were definitely tasty!! We enjoyed the relaxed environment. Friendly bar tender lady was cute & helpful. She let us sample some things before deciding on our drinks.
Fun family night. Reasonable prices. Pleasantly surprised by the food quality.
has potential to be a cool spot but the crowd, cleanliness, awkward atmosphere and vibe was not it. Only stayed about 10mins on a Friday night. Karaoke was said to start at 9 but we didn't stick around to see it.
Great atmosphere, good games (although Mrs. Pacman'a joystick has a LOT of excessive play lol), good people. Their staff is super friendly, helpful, and quick to assist. I didn't get any food this first time around, but I plan to in the future; their pulled pork sandwich sounds amazing! Overall, tonight was a great first experience, and I will be back many times to come ??
Cool place. Kids had a blast playing games. Gave a 3 star rating because of the food. Been here a couple times now and the last time was horrible. I got the tacos and the tortillas were like cardboard. We ordered the pretzel app and the cheese was too spicy for my kids. My son got the Mac n cheese and it was so spicy he started crying. I sent it back and waited for the new order. After 30 mins of no Mac and cheese I went up and just canceled it.
Honestly disappointing how terrible the staff was considering how cool the place is. Drinks are pretty pricey, staff yells at you for laughing, got "mad dogged" by the wanna be bouncer at the door the whole night. If you like bad singing, terrible service and the inability to be "loud" at a BAR, this is the place for you!
Hi everyone! There is a review on here from a month ago in regards to them getting kicked out. I wanted to state that they DIDN'T get kicked out due to prejudice reasons. They actually ended up being kicked out because there was a conflict between her and another girl. Which was looking like it was gonna lead into a physical altercation. I come here often and they actually are super welcoming to everyone no matter their sexuality or race. Thank you!!!
Nice place. Lots of games, pool, air hockey, a big screen, skeet ball.. and it was our lucky night! Tuesday after 8 it's half price lots of things! Decent pretzel bites. Outside there is a fire pit. Chill vibe good rotating IPA
This place is amazing, such a great atmosphere. Staff is incredibly friendly and efficient and the food is extremely yummy.
Had to show my child how an OG tears it up at an arcade!!! ???? Had a great time tonight at the Control Room. Kid friendly (during certain times) and will definitely be coming back in the future. New and old games so there is a good variety. Good selection of beers on tap, have to try some food next time. ?? Nice and empty for a Saturday, thought the Mrs. PacMac high score was way too high. Love Control Room!!!
The bar tenders are rude cussed at us told us to get out when asking for the manager then was drinking behind the bar told us there is no manager that works here then let kids under 21 in after midnight. If I could give a zero rating I would and if the owner does not want to be shut down he will change the staff. Staff was very unprofessional and racist. So I will be making phone calls on Monday morning sad thing is they don't know who they were being nasty with!
family and I went for dinner and entertainment on Saturday. It was early in the evening to bring minors inside the establishment. After 8 pm adults only. We ordered hamburgers and buffalo chicken macaroni bowls. It came out hot and fresh. The food was delicious. I wished the buffalo chicken could have been spicier. But, to each their own. I noticed the staff were hustling as they were short handed. I could see they cared. They had all kinds of coin-op arcades, from Joust, Donkey Kong, Jr. to pinball machine
The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and all the games were in working order. The place was clean and had a super cool atmosphere. The prices were good too. A quarter to play Pac-Man is a deal to me! Newer and retro games. Very nice pinball games. The margaritas were very good too. Order at the bar, get a number and enjoy. I'd come again!
Stumbled across this place for a quick drink and bite and was pleasantly surprised at how good of an experience was. Demi was my bartender and boy did we have a time! She was hilarious and professional in the best way possible. Such an asset to this business! My food was also delicious and drink was well worth the price. Looking forward to coming back.
Favorite barcade here in the springs so far. The owner and bar staff were super friendly and personable. Drinks were great. My new favorite Long Island Iced Tea! Friendly for the kids too before 8pm. Overall great time and will definitely be back.
It is nice to have a variety of things to do on this side of town, an arcade is a welcome addition. Atmosphere is good, diverse group of people when we visited. Bartenders could be friendlier. Skee ball, air hockey and a variety of ?vintage? games. If you go before 8pm kids are welcome and would probably have fun.
Super fun bar to hang out with friends. There was a handful of "out of order" arcade games but thankfully we still managed to have games to play. The drinks are decent, the bartender was very friendly and informative. We definitely accidentally finding this bar and will come again.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Came in with my boyfriend as we were looking for a fun date night place. Our bartender Demi really made our whole experience a 10/10! She was super bubbly, in a great mood and served us a great cocktails. Our favorite was the green tea shot! We will definitely be back again, hopefully she'll always be our server!
I did not spend a lot of time there, that being said the establishment was clean to include the restrooms. Food was to satisfactory. The best part about this place was the staff they are friendly and just genuinely good people.
Soleil helped us celebrate my son?s 10th birthday in spectacular fashion. We had just come from an indoor trampoline place and the kids were super antsy and hungry. They got to the games right away and Soleil immediately took out order and delivered food within 15 minutes of arriving - with a smile! She also saved the day with a lighter for the bday candles and plates to serve. Awesome and sweet. If you're looking for a good time and great service The Control Room is the way to go!
The bartenders see you and don't help you. When I told her that she helped everyone else before me even though I was there first she did not care. There's better places to go than here.
Shout out to The Control Room for having vegan pizza options! BBQ chick-n with jalape?o and red onion! Perfect for happy hour!
Great environment. Good music (not too loud), pool table, and arcade games ($1 in quarters each). Lots of tables and seating room.
Took my friends out for a bachelor party here and had an awesome time. Classic feel of an arcade with great options, all take quarters. They also have mini Atari and SNES machines you can play at the tables for free, as long as you turn in your ID for the controller. They have a wide selection of good food and drinks, including non-alcoholic for the sober folks like me. Would definitely come back again, especially for the Injustice machine that gives you cards for playing!
Barbie was absolutely amazing when we took in my little with dietary restrictions! She went above and beyond to ensure my kid didn't have an allergy (concerning cross contamination) and had him test the cauliflower pizza crust with vegan cheese. By far this has been the best Gluten Free and Dairy Free pizza my kid has had outside of homemade. We'll absolutely be back and recommend anyone give this place a try
Was definitely a cool spot to chill. Went in and had some lunch on a Saturday afternoon wasn't to crazy busy had some burgers and fries and some jalape?o and cheese wontons. Wontons where great and fries where good. I didn't enjoy my burger but it was 100% my fault for not reading that it came with pickled onions and I was definitely not a fan of them took them off but my burger still had the taste. I will learn to read. Cool spot would for sure go again was nice to play some pinball.
Patrick B is amazing! Definitely request him! Took such great care of us. Great server!
What a very cool place to have fun and a good meal. The slush machines were a hit. Grab some quarters and challenge a friend to joust or pinball. Enjoy a pint of some ice cold beer and order some wings. Sing karaoke on Sundays while enjoying the football game. My new hangout spot for sure.
I had the pizza and it was pretty good. Better than I expected and really top notch crust. They have a good selection of slushees but only one with no alcohol (strawberry). I had the orange creamsicle. Very yummy. For as small as a place as this is, they had a great selection of vintage to modern arcade games. Missile command, centipede, galaga, frogger and donkey Kong to name a few. The games take actual quarters. AND THEY HAVE SKEEBALL! At $1.00 a game. It did get quite warm with all the activity and the
Small place. Very few games, skee ball isn't worth it save your money. Air hockey was popular. We enjoyed the pinball games. Drinks were good, just priced higher then they should. Didt get no food seen alot of it sent back not eaten. There was a big pile of puke by the front door and people were walking in it. Would I go back. Truthfully no. Not worth going back a second time.
Friendly staff, fun games, and good food/drinks. I can't think of anything lacking here! What a great spot.
This is a really cool find here in the springs. They really don't have a lot of games BUT THEIR DRINKS ARE AMAZING. The games they do have are fun too
Just recently I went to the control room for the first time.. the food was great but what made the experience even better was the lady that was my waitress. I believe her name was Demi. She was so nice and just went over and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. And a side note the French fries were so crispy, they were cooked to perfection!
Thank you Kyra and Jaycee for an absolutely amazing grad party!! They were very attentive, quick to take orders and clear plates, and didn't hesitate to get us anything to make the day great. We had about 25 people, going back and forth between the arcade and tables, and they even let us bring in our own cake. Incredible food, drinks, and service.
I came in on Sunday and Jenny was wonderful! After the first round, me and my wife didn't even have to ask for another, we would walk over to the bar and while busy she'd say our order and have it out super quickly. The games were so fun! Definitely coming back next time we're in Colorado springs!
Be cautious. I went to karaoke weekly, used to love this place. The sound system is okay for karaoke, it's fun to have all the games nearby, the food is good. Last Saturday though, they over-served a man who got super belligerent and then beat the crap out of my friends in the parking lot when they were trying to leave ~1am. The bar was pretty empty by then, and he was belligerent inside the building obviously shouting and being threatening and no one did anything, despite security being present. ** The
Just a great place. What I like, is they have fun old school games and they are not expensive. Friendly waitstaff. A fun place to take a 11 yo grandchild.
Great place.. the drinks and service are fantastic and the arcade goes great with sports and beer.
Jalapeno cream cheese wontons and hand tossed Pizza. Plus a great selection of video games, good selection of beers on tap and tossed slushies! Plus sports on a ton of different TVs. Why aren't all bars like this? ??
Had a lot of fun with friends. Ordered a drink and it got to us almost immediately, I was impressed. Lost a star because the two games I was really looking forward to playing were broken. Guitar Hero and the DDR game. It's hard to find any place that has those games functioning. I wish people would take better care of them.
So much fun! We come here when I need to de-stress. The Orange Creamsicle frozen drink is EVERYTHING. Enough said.
Such a fun, budget friendly night! We especially LOVE Patrick and Demi!
Tables are a little crowded together.... service was good ??... a parking was hard to find.
Really cool spot to have on the east side of town, and lots of fun games to play, great for a Friday night
The Control Room is my favorite Friday and Saturday night karaoke venue. The owners and the staff are amazing. The food and drinks are fantastic. They have a great selection of games that's fun for the whole family. I highly recommend it!
Id just like to say that Demi was our server, she was amazing, she always had a smile on her face, I could tell she enjoys her job. Fast, courteous,& attentive all around great experience from our server to our activities. Will go back.
Been here a few times. Good bar food. Good atmosphere.
This place is great. Friendly crowd, fun games, good drinks. Food is available, although I haven't tried it. Games are a little pricey and sometimes make mistakes and take your money, but it's always a fun time. ATM inside and coin machine. Bartenders can break larger bills but you'll have to use the ATM to get cash. They have some unique games and some older ones but most are functional, and the few I've seen broken are fixed by the next time I go. This is always a place I stop by when I'm back in town!
Place gave me food poisoning. $1 to play pinball is also a ripoff.
One of our favorite spots that's right by our house! We go a few times a month.
Great 80s type of bar / burger joint. Video games need to be maintained on a regular basis. Several machines needed repair. The food is good but inconsistent. I have ordered the burger a few times, some times its great other times the burger is poor. Location is also good. Bathrooms need to be cleaned more often.
Food here is kind of mediocre. I ordered a burger and it was pre-made likely a Costco patty. It was also swimming in grease with a soggy bun. Not sure how this is acceptable but this is what they served me. I got some wings those were better. Otherwise the game seemed cool very retro. Not coming back
Nice little bar! The food and drinks are great
I was there with a group of friends on trivia night! The trivia host was excellent and we had a great time! Our food was ordered through the app and was brought by staff in a timely matter by multiple staff members! Our group enjoyed all the food that we ordered was exceptional! I highly recommend the control room!
My husband and 12 year old have gone any chance we can because the place is so much fun for all of us. Old arcade games at a reasonable price plus food and alcohol are served. Absolutely fantastic. No kids allowed after 8 pm, which is also pretty fantastic despite not being experienced personally.
My thought was always this place is for kids and teens. Came for Wednesday night trivia and not only is the food fantastic, but service from Kyra (hope I spelled that right) is phenomenal and it is like sports bar meets 1980s and 90s video games! We will definitely be coming back!! What a great place!!!
The seating situation is ridiculous unless you want to sit on high-top stools with a bunch of strangers at one long table. There are about 4 normal height tables, but because of it being an arcade, families camp at them for hours. Really makes no sense to be a restaurant without comfortable seating for more than 4 parties. We weren't greeted by any staff even as we walked through the area looking for a table. Not a good impression at all.
Love this place for a date night with my boo and really enjoy the pizza ??
Kyra and Graziela are absolutely amazing! Kyra has always been so kind and engaging. She knows exactly what we want every time we come in! Graziela is a great person to have behind the bar as well. She also knows what we like and is so quick with her service! We love everyone who works here - this is our fave neighborhood bar!! Come in for the best karaoke and trivia this side of town!!!
Would have been 5 stars but Majors isn't there enough????
Overall this bar is really fun. Not quite a 1-UP level of game selections, but still worth a stop. Tap beers are poured well and cold, pretty extensive selection of liquor and the bartenders are very friendly. Karaoke nights, trivia nights, and a descent food menu too. Hope is honestly one of my favorite people. A phenomenal bartender, very personable and a joy to be around.
The games:awesome. Old school games, new games too and they don't cost more than a dollar to pay. That being said, the service was dismal. The waitress didn't even look at us, threw straws at us, didn't offer refills, didn't offer water, didnt bring everything we ordered.. everyone said they enjoyed their food but my calzone was meh. Also, quite a few games were out of order. I'd pretty much go back for the games. But I'll be eating elsewhere.
Great service, decent food menu options for a bar. Terrible liquor selection, moreso, the worst tequila selection! The food is okay, typical bar food. They seem to overcharge me everytime I run a tab though. Just pay as you go and ask questions if you feel the need because they do not offer a receipt, let alone an itemized receipt for you to see what you spent $200 on. Fun atmosphere!
Great place with good food, cold beer and great nostalgia games.
Who doesn't care about the things that make you happy should not go here because video games make me happy!!!
Very good combo of games and drinks and some decent food. The food is average bar food and the prices are a little high. Other than that a nice place for adults to hang have some drinks and food and play games.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision. Modern machines boast vivid displays, booming sound systems, and diverse song libraries, from J-pop to EDM. They challenge reflexes and rhythm, with competitive leaderboards and tournaments fostering a lively community. Arcade dance floors are regularly packed, proving rhythm games’ immersive, physical thrill keeps them a standout in today’s gaming scene.
