I searched for fun places for kids. Found this place. The Block. We got there as it opened at 1pm. I live out of town in a small town so my daughter had been wanting to go someplace like this she had been to ones in the city around Charlotte before. We got there the staff were helpful. They let us walk through and see what was going on inside so we could know what they had to offer. We were hungry from the drive and wanted to eat first. One of the staff recommended a restaurant The Lost Wombat. This restaur

Skating, trampoline park, foam pit, ping pong, arcade and snack bar. Lots of fun for kids and adults. Some of the activities are extra. Check out the website for prices. ?? I love that there are designated areas for adults to watch their children or relax in a recliner . (Coffee would be a bonus if they offered it sometime lol) The snack bar offers a bar area to eat at, seating area & couches for relaxng and watching tv, and the same snacks you would find at a skating rink. Speaking of the skating rink, t

So much to do for anyone and plenty of seating for those who just want to rest! Great for just an afternoon out, birthday parties, or just because! Arcade games, giant trampolines and an area for the little ones, go karts, skating, rock wall climbing, mini golf; I mean, they've got it all! Tons of drinks for sell and they even make pizza! You won't regret stopping here!

It was okay. But I'm giving 3 stars because you should pay 1 price to do everything. But instead you have to pay to jump, and to do the climbing wall you have to pay more which they need to do some work on it. And you have to pay another price to do the ball thing. Which is ridiculous. When you could just pay 1 at price to do everything. Including the skating. I understand you pay for that separate. But everything else they should let you do with the jump pass. That's just my opinion. But overall it was gre

I visited this place back on March 3rd with my daughter. We had never been before and were invited by her classmates parents and a couple of other girls joined us as well. We live in Mooresville so it was a little out of the way but the drive was very nice. The place is huge with a lot to offer. It's actually so big that there are areas we didn't get a chance to see. The girls rollerbladed & rollerskated for quite a while until our time to go down for the gelly ball. That was pretty cool, and us parents pu

I definitely used these reviews to decide to bring my 2 year old son here, so wanted to leave our own. We will definitely be back. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It didn't feel crowded, likely because it is so big. We generally were able to keep our toddler in one area of the jump park with no big kids around. We originally thought we would probably be confined to the toddler room, but that was not necessary. Though, the toddler room is very nice with lots to do. There was the sweetest w

My kids enjoyed jumping however I couldn't help but notice what looked like mold on the back wall. Also, paint is chipping everywhere: tables, chairs, walls, etc? the food was closed down with 2.5 hours before they closed but they did let us bring in food from somewhere else. Also, there is no changing room in either bathroom so I had to use a table, thankfully I always have a changing pad with me.

I took my granddaughter tonight and we both had so very much fun! We loved it! She got to jump on the trampolines. We played an arcade game together for the first time and loved it.

Fantastic place for the kids of Wilkes to hang out! Great for families, parties, or just to come have fun. Trampolines, foam pits, ninja course, arcade, roller skating, food, and fun! It was also the perfect idea for a hang out spot for highschool prom goers. Very impressive addition to the area. Reasonable prices for all that is available. We will definitely come again and again each year. The owners are visionaries and I truly believe they have the growth of the community in their best interest.

We are very grateful to have "The Block" it is a great place to have fun for the entire family! We have been several times and have enjoyed each visit. I highly recommend this place for a fun family time!! The owners are great people!! They are working diligently on phase 2 of the Block. Then there will be even more fun!!! Bouncing, skating and more!! Thank you "The Block" for bringing our town such a fun place!!

Haven't been here in a little while. What I do remember is that it's a really cool, comfortable place for anyone to just have a day of fun and enjoyment whether it has to do with their, Trampoline Park, Arcade, Skating Rink, etc. Highly recommend this place for any individual or family or friends to enjoy themselves. Keep up the great work!??

Got the kids all Access and had a blast

Had a blast! We had my baby girls Bday here and the kiddos ran wild, they had a blast! Great staff very friendly and helpful! For sure we will be coming back!

Recently attended a birthday party on Saturday 01/20/2024 @The Block Owned by Aynsley & Mick Zulpo. Though the party was a success and the atmosphere could use some improvements. There seemed to be a need for some structuring of management. There were safety concerns that were addressed with the owner. When purchasing a game card their wifi went down and several parents who had traveled 45 minutes or more were left unreimbursed at the time. These issues were addressed with both the vendor and owner of the e

I brought my 4 year old and 2 year old here for the first time on Thursday and honestly I had just as much fun as they did. Having 2 small children makes it difficult to go anywhere without stress, but this place is perfect. They had so much fun the whole time and I felt so safe with them running around all over to the different rooms to play. They really enjoyed themselves and I loved playing with them too. And as a bonus, they both slept in their beds all night after an hour of jump time without waking up

We love this place so much. Over the summer, it became our go-to place to be and now we're enjoying it at least twice a week. Safe facility, tons of fun games and activities for all ages/abilities, and the sweetest staff that will actually interact with the kids which I love. If you're bored in Wilkes, no matter how old or young you are, The Block is the to be!

My family and 2 of my friends with their children all went to the block today for the first time. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, no complaints there. I felt the pricing was reasonable for all of the activities that were included in the 3 hour all access pass. We didn't even last the whole 3 hours before the kids were wore out so that was great. We were surprised and enjoyed that it wasn't overly crowded. My only complaint was the condition of the play areas and safety concerns. I wish I had take

My kids had a great time. There were not many snack options. But Attica the server was very helpful and friendly. The staff overall was very nice. The skating rink is great I love the seating in the middle. The DJ was on point. The bathrooms were clean ???????? They could use a cue ball and new sticks. And hopefully by the time I come back next summer they will have a wine and beer license. Great place overall. I would probably have a birthday party there.

Had my daughters part here and was told we could get there at 1245 to set up and then was told they where moving stuff would be 15 minutes. We had no time too set up and never once saw the event staffi was told we would have. Then at 145 we where basically kicked out of the private room we had for the time. Poor management and very very dirty. I saw 10 things they should be closed down for. I hope people that go watch out for the danger that awaits.

This place is blowing up -- adding a cafe and roller skate room in 2021 in addition to the Ninja Warrior room, trampoline room, bounce house, and toddler play room. Getting signed up includes a year-long waiver, and it's super quick and easy to register the guardian and minors on their computer station right in the front waiting room. The owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly. I'm looking forward to their expansions!

The kids had tons of fun! My niece climbed to the wall about 20 times and loved the foam put! We, as adults absolutely loved the massage chairs! We will definitely be back! I wish there was a place like this in Sparta, NC..... Not any options for the kids to have fun here.

Staff were very very friendly :0D Me and my goons ( two of my friends) We're literally getting bullied And 3 staff members( a female with brown hair, a male with blond hair and another female with blonde and blue hair) Came to help us I think they deserve a raise:0)

This place is absolutely incredible. So much to do for all ages. Super family friendly. Amazing owners that care so much about the community and creating a space that was much needed in the area. Plenty of parent seating options. 10/10

They serve a lot of snacks, the trampolines are amazing and rollerskating is so fun! Skating area has lights and music. I had a GREAT time so worth ittt

Took my daughter and some of her friends here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The kids loved it. Food was reasonably priced. Well worth the price for the park pass.

Decent place for kids, they have now added arcade, skating rink and gel ball all separate pricing, reservations for birthday parties ??

Amazing and fun place for kids to just be. It has something for everyone from little to big, different rooms, an arcade, roller skating and gellyball, plus more. It is worth checking out and an exceptionally motivating incentive for the kids. It motivates my 8yr old & 16 yr old and I finally found the one thing they always agree on :)

Really cool place for kids and adults, granddaughters birthday on 1/30 and it was 100%,finished up around 2 and headed to the Lost Wombat and that put the icing on the cake....no pun intended

Super fun and great for all ages

Brought the family here for a group event. The kids had a great time! There is something here for all ages, they have separate rooms for the littler kids, so they can have fun as well. Even adults can bounce in the main trampoline room. I highly recommend this place, and encourage everyone to give it a try!

We had a birthday party there yesterday we waited 30 mins in the line to get in so that took away from her party time. Not one employee came in and asked if we needed anything. The bathrooms were horrible and stunk so bad. It was not worth what I paid.

Fantastic place to take your kids and grandkids. A wonderful and affordable place to have Birthday parties

Had a birthday day party there, it was great! the kids had so much fun, the birthday girl didn't even open her gifts, she was busy playing .

Not a fan. I'd rather drive to Hickory or Johnson City for my kids to jump in an area that I can actually be in to keep a better eye on my child. Saw a few children get hurt, employees watching the kids were great though at helping them find their parents. All staff I encountered were great! Went with a group of friends, and about 12 kids, not much space for us to sit and watch them.

My 5 year old daughter jumped all that she could. I enjoyed watching and trying to remember how it felt to run and jump without getting a back injury because I didn't hold my mouth right... One down fall was the price of drinks. I felt it was a bit much to charge $6.50 for a 20oz Dew and a juice. Ok..two down falls... The restroom was a one toilet for men that was half clean. I don't know how many people can enter but I'd hate to be there on a busy day??

Places like this make a town better. Fair prices and the kids love it! Such a good time for indoor entertainment. I wish Boone had one!

Grandchildren loved it. Take extra money for the games. We were only going for the jumping then the children seen the games. They have a roller rink also. We only paid for an hour and it was very reasonable. Worth taking the children.

I didnt know this place existed. Wow is all I can say!!! Everything under one roof, you can bring in food, and they let the kids have fun! They have staff around but they blend in so you don't feel like you're being watched. It's clean also and that matters to me anyway. Love love love this place!

Kids had a great time! Hosted a birthday party here. They were on top of the schedule, reasonably priced, and clean. No complaints.

My daughter had my grandson's 2nd birthday party here. It was a lot of fun! My 7 year old son had a blast and so did my grandkids!

I had fun in there I actually met my friends there UNEXPECTED but my parents didn't approve them :( because they were therians (I luv ya'll ?) if your a scene kid and been here I missed out on meeting you

Amazing!!! Amazing!!! So much fun for all ages!!! Great place to have parties too??

Absolutely LOVE coming here! Staff is always friendly, place is always clean, plenty of activities for people of all ages! Really accommodating to parents! This place is a must if you're in the area! So thankful the kids and families in this town have such an awesome establishment to create memories! Love that they also have a place for small children and babies! Massage chairs for parents! The list goes on about incredible things The Block has provided. Plenty of party rooms for birthdays and events!

If I could give a higher review I would! My mom brings my daughters here every weekend. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly. My little ones really only use the toddler room but it's so nice to have an air conditioned play area to bring them in the summer heat. I also love that when they first opened I came in by myself to just get an idea of what they were offering and I was given a full walk through of the facility and an explanation of what they offered. 10/10. We will continue to go back.

Great place to take the kids. Very reasonable priced. Nice little arcade and roller skate area as well.

This is a great place for the kids to spend a few hours having fun. We have been here twice recently driving down from Ashe County. There's so many different things for the kids to do that no one will got bored.

I LOVE THE WORKERS HERE SO MUCH CAUSE THEY'RE SO NICE ????????

The first couple times when the block opened I was disappointed. A lot of the arcade game were out of order. And I could barely get any help from the staff. I knew being newly open that the business could really improve and make an impact in wilkesboro. I would like to say they have been! There is a new arcade which is so much better. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. I am so grateful for a fun place near by for kids to play!

Visited for the first time for a birthday party, will definitely be back. This is a much needed attraction for Wilkes and surrounding areas! Rates are very reasonable compared to other trampoline parks we have been to in larger towns. It was clean, the staff we interacted with were friendly, and I have no complaints at all!

Lost all the money on a game card and all the tickets loaded on card. Ticket grab does not count tickets correct. And after asking 2 attendance for help they pushed it off on a third person. I understand your busy but more than one person had lost $$ on the card by the machine taking more than stated. Don't use the arcade machines.

Took my girl and little sister there tonight and great service but the bath rooms in the back near the roller skating had no locks on the inside of there stalls and the bathroom by the dodge ball area had big stains on the floor and the roller skating ring is not safe it's no hardware floor and the skates wheels are loose and had hair stuck in the back wheels and I'm the foam pit area no one was there to watch anyone the socks aren't worth anything the employees are also dressed inappropriately for work sp

Awesome place for youth and teens. The trampoline park is the highlight with the skating rink combination. There is a problem with the flooring for the skating rink, and many people have complained about the weird grit padded and uneven flooring. Also, there is an arcade, jelly ball shooting in the basement, and a new wall climbing feature. They serve pizza, drinks, and icee/slushy drinks. They host birthday parties ??

Far too crowded, unstructured, and loud. It'd be great to see more seating around the play areas since the majority of obstacles are adults standing in the pathways. I question the safety of some areas, but that could just be the parent in me. It'd also be beneficial to have an employee willing to correct poor behavior in the dodgeball area. You know, so there doesn't end up being an older kid battering the little ones in face with the balls.

We brought our toddler and we enjoyed ourselves and this is a good place for Wilkes; however, I do wish it was more secure and there were procedures to keep the kids safe such as the front entrance. There were a lot of vulnerable areas that anyone could walk in and walk out with whatever or whoever. If they could work on that then it would be great.

The Block is a much needed recreation option in the area. I would like to leave some constructive feedback though. I'll start with the positives. Unlike what others have said, I don't think the prices are unreasonable There are a number of fun activities to do Great rainy day option My son came and told me he thought he hurt himself and the young girl working in the trampoline area came to us immediately and asked if he was ok and checked in. That said- there is some major maintenance and upkeep needed. Th

This Place Is Amazing. It's for everyone. From Toddler to 100 year's old. Arcade Games of all kinds and so many to choose from. Huge Trampoline area you even wouldn't believe it till you see it. The Roller Skating area has plenty of room. With lights of all colors and good music too. Down stairs you can play Jelly Ball. It is Awesome Neon Glow in the dark room it is crazy and so much fun. And wanting to have a Birthday Party or some kind of get together. There are 4 rooms to choose from. There is so much mo

The Block is one of the coolest places you can visit in Wilkes. It is super fun and a great place for kids! The staff is amazing and some of the friendliest people that I have ever met! I am looking forward to roller skating and jumping on their trampolines! Best pricing for a trampoline park in NC! = )

This place is amazing! Remember 90s arcades where you could get tickets and trade them for prizes? They've got those and I love the nostalgia. They have a roller rink and pool table which is awesome too because you don't have to be a kid to enjoy skating and pool. But I figured there wouldn't be much for my son to do because he's only 16 months old. I was wrong. There is an awesome toddler room with a ball pit that he loved. There is also a trampoline for toddlers and I think he had more fun on that trampo

My kids have so much fun when we go I love that this is here for them to be able to do something. But today I honestly had a ruff time with one of the employees just not really aknowledgeing me. We did the arcade after jumping and have the games took my money and the other half didn't give tickets I told this one employee about it he said hold on preceded to fiddle around. Then when he finally fixed the one machine so my son could get his tickets he didn't even tell me he fixed it and someone else grabbed h

Checked this place out for the first time, mostly because they finished their skating rink! Clean and didn't smell. The floor is tile-like, and I recommend bringing your outdoor skates and wheels. It feels like sidewalk with all the texture and changing surfaces. The owner said hey and was a good guy. Ill check this place out soon

I'm torn. All of the information I have says this place is christian owned and operated (kid friendly) however if you'd like your kids asking you what smoking a clip means or coming to you multiple times to say there is inappropriate words in the music that is blasting on the speakers.... You can only tell them to ignore it and just jump because you've already paid for 4 kids and drove almost 2 hours away to come...... It had a nice set up. But we have zero tolerance for trash environment over here. Do bett

We had a great experience sharing our daughters birthday party with friends and family at this facility. The owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure every need was met and that we had a great time. This is a great service to have here in our county for kids. We will definitely go back!

Cool place. Pool table's complimentary. Don't have to pay to enter the arcade since you pay to play the games. Just a great place to go, a place this town really needed. Edit: Thank you for the reply! That's very exciting! I hope to see some great cabinets added to the arcade!

Took my 6 kids up for a family skate night and the skate floor was the worst. Out of all the skating rinks we have been to the floor was the worst and we did not have that much fun. The staff was nice and look to have lots of fun stuff but was pricey which ever thing seems to be when you have 6 kids but the down fall was the skate floor to charge that much you figure they would have a better skate floor. We will not be going back to skate unless they fix the floors would advise anyone wanting to skate to go

Nice place for kids to release a lot of energy.

Every time I have visited The Block, I have had a wonderful time. The environment is very family friendly and everything looks great. However, the skating rink floor is very bumpy. I wonder if it would be easier to skate and gain speed if the floor was concrete, or something much smoother. It is also quite hot in the building. I wonder if some large fans would do some good, or turning down the AC a bit. These things may already be planned in the many phases of development as I realize it is a work in progre

I have taken my son and his siblings there a few time now. The place has improved sense the first time I was there and continues to be a better family experience for all ages. The trampoline area is clean and safe with tentative staff that keeps a watchful eye out for everyone. The battle beam area is fun for even the little ones. They have a dodgeball and ninja warrior area as well. Most of the parents, me included feel that my child is safe their even if I do not have my eye on them the whole time. E

We have our children?s birthday party here. Great space for them to play and have a good time. Our children are still younger and there was a space specifically for children their age. Great place to have birthday parties or to go and have a good time.

Great place for adults and kids to hang out. Lots to do. Snacks and drinks available. Thanks Nick

We had a blast tonight! We played GellyBall and enjoyed every bit of it. The arena was spacious and well sorted for coverage. I'd says it's definitely worth checking out during a visit. Thanks for the fun!

Wonderful place for kids of all ages, and adults. So much to do! Just what the town needed. Friendly staff. Safe environment. Tons of fun! And you can have parties as well! So perfect!!! The owners of this place are truly amazing.

We had a BLAST! We went for 2 hours and that was not enough! There is so much to do that we could easily spend 4+ hours there! All of the staff were amazing, incredibly friendly and helpful! 1000/10 definitely recommend!

I decided to bring my 6 year old daughter here since it's getting cold weather for somewhere she can play with other kids her age like at the park. I really want expecting much but they had ALLOT of different things to do for kids an adults there.. I recommend going here, being a little pricey yes, but very much worth it. Adults that's just watching don't pay just kids an people playing there.

Thank you all very much our kids had a great time. All ya need now is a bowling alley.

Such a great place for Wilkes to have. My kids love it. It's not as nice and fancy as the chains but when they get done adding everything that is planned, it will be close to perfect for us. I only wish this had been opened when I was a kid.

Wonderful place for kids of all ages. Everyone was so friendly! We loved it and are thrilled to have this in our community. A must for anyone with kids! I also had a blast jumping around and running up the warp wall.

Cool place to wear out your kids! They sleep amazing that night! ?? I'll try skating next time ??

Rude, Unprofessional, liers, changes the price on you after you already where told something else! Watch your bill and receipt when you pay for your birthday party's! I Was very unhappy with this place from the booking till the end to pay! Everytime you talk to someone here you hear something different then before, then I was really done when they tried to over charge me by 100.00! Then lied and said he would put it back on my card well big surprise he only put 84.06 these people are nothing but money hungr

Definitely the best NEW thing to happen in Wilkes for families & indoor play dates- a family fun event center!! ( skating rink and laser tag coming soon at the start of '22)! We enjoyed our hour of play & will return soon! If you need a clean, local accommodation to throw a small or large(indoors) party group of family & friends (both young and older kiddos)- this is it!

This place is off the hook fun. If you want a goods night rest, speaking as a single parent, without the kids getting up and climbing in your bed at any point, bringem here because when they get home they sleep all night. I'm going to say that it's the best thing that has ever happened for kids in Wilkes County for a long time.

Wonderful place for kids to run off a lot of energy and play with friends and just have a wonderful time. Very nostalgic for me. I love that there is something like this for our kids in today's world. Love the skating rink.

Great place, friendly people, good for the community. I only wish they would offer monthly passes or Groupon deals for groups/frequent customers.

This is an awesome local family owned business and great for kids in the community as well as surrounding areas. They plan to add a huge arcade and a skating rink as well. Right beside the business in the same building is Foothills Collectibles and that's a cool store also. They sell Pok?mon, toys, sports cards. A little of everything for all age groups at the Block and Foothills Collectibles.

Took the grandkids there for the first time, and I was very impressed. The employees were extremely nice, but most importantly, the kids had so much fun. The place is very clean

This is a great place that's not too expensive and for all ages. They've got trampolines, skating, jelly splat, a pool table, a toddler zone, climbing walls, and arcade.

My children have a blast here. And I'm very pleased to report there are plenty of places for parents to park while your kids play. Fun time had by all.

Went by the block yesterday and had to go later because it was so busy. To me that just shows it's an amazing place. No matter the age you're gonna have fun.

My kids had a great time. I liked that you could pay by the hour. Only negative was the bathrooms were FILTHY.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?
