Friendly staff and clean, well-maintained bowling alleys. We went with our little kids and spent around $145 for 4 games for 3 kids, including shoe rentals. It seemed a bit pricey, but the kids had fun, and the environment was enjoyable for parents too. I didn't try the pizza, but the kids seemed to like it.
Drinks were delicious. Games were fun. Will definitely be coming back to try out those pool tables.
Love this place for bowling, great food, drinks, and arcade is super fun! Waitress will come to the alley while you're bowling to get you food and drinks. Also parking is always available!
Showed up 124$ for 3 games for 4 people 33$ per person. 11$ a game. If that price wasn't wild enough we asked for water multiple times only to be told there is no free water and to buy some when they serve alcohol which makes you then dehydrated. When I left brought it up, and after realizing litigation then brought up a water fountain that is not noticeable or noted or even offered until that point. Watched them sell people water all night not offering. Kinda scamy behavior and will report that, and hopefu
First time there spent about half hour there at the arcade. Be aware that when you purchase the token card there is a $2 fee that isn't mentioned anywhere. Only discovered it after viewing the charge amount on my credit card app. I called them to inquire about it and the girl told me that there is a two dollar charge? it's not OK not to inform people. I'm pretty sure the law requires to post signage. Aside from that, we were only in the arcade and can only speak to that which seemed ok.
pure bliss! we came in on a thursday night around 10p. it was crowded which is expected for a bowling alley mixed with a club mixed with an arcade. however, bowling lanes were maticulously cleaned and food service was exceptionally fast! not to mention very diverse food options?? and drinks too??. it does reek of cigs ?? and weed?? though so be aware. other than that amazing! i reccomend bowling and mexican beef nachos.
I come here often. Today was different as the service was much in questioned. The bartender was truly thrown off when he brought over a pitcher of beer when I had paid for a pint. I was trying to be honest just in case it was a mistake but the bartender says he might?ve read it wrong and for me to enjoy it. The facial expression says it all. Second, my son slipped on the lane when attempting to bowl (he is 4 years old) and a worker came over and yelled at me for that. I said it was an accident and once agai
I was there for my niece birthday. The staff were very professional and efficient. The food was good but very expensive. A sampler appetizer platter (5 fried mozzarella balls, 5 tenders, 5 wings, French fries on top, and 5 soft pretzels (shaped like a pencil with the top wide and the bottom pointed) with a sampling of 4 sauces) and a soda. The bill was $45. It was shocking because I really didn't look at the prices when I ordered. I haven't been to a bowling alley in years. Other than that, it was
Nice bowling alley very friendly staff front desk, servers arcade and other staff helped alot we liked the renovations . special needs friendly
Not only did I get food poisoning from the "Birra tacos" and threw up for 2 hours after I ate them, our lane shut off mid 3rd round in which someone had to call the manager who fixed it. The staff was nice but never order Birra tacos from a bowling alley!!
There was a rotten cherry in a drink had at our table. They don't give you cups of water or just cups, they make you pay for bottles. Which is fine, but Laurel Lanes will give you a cup of water no problem! This is a deal breaker for me because there is no excuse for it. If people are paying for service, charging them for water additionally shows clear intentions. Overall service was not great either but I won't be commenting on that today. I highly recommend Laurel Lanes!
Amazing Fun Night! Thanks to Jason - Management for accommodating 25 of us- amazing pricing during the week - food was delicious- service was friendly. Thank you
Fun game selection. Interesting prizes. A little on the pricey side but if you find a Groupon or come when it's a deal, it is worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean.
I know it was a Saturday night and the bowling alley was very busy. I spent 53.00 for a pepperoni pizza , fries and chicken fingers and 2 drinks. The pizza and fries were ice cold. The drinks never came out and we had to get our own napkins and plates. The manger was nice about the mixup but with 36 lanes I thought the staff could have been a little more attentive to the bowlers. All in all. Disappointing
The 1 star is for false advertising. I can't believe no one else has complained. You advertise on Fridays unlimited bowling after 8 for 24.49 per person. Unlimited means as many as you want. But our lanes turned off after 3 hours. So it should in fact say 24.49 for 3 hours. We paid almost 100 dollars for 3 people and didn't finish our second round. For all that we would of just paid by game. And the fact that the management continued to go back and forth with an unsatisfied customer is completely mind blow
I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone I know. I called ahead to inquire about the deal they have on Groupon since a group of friends and myself plan on getting together this weekend and were going to try this place for a fun, kid-free outing. There were some questions I had about the fine print and I got the most condescending, unhelpful woman from the front desk. I knew that a reservation couldn't be made with the Groupon but asked if I could show up 30 minutes prior to when my friends were exp
Great bowling alley and family fun center. Nice bar and restaurant attached as well as pool tables etc. Kids party rooms and party packages. It's not cheap but I didn't feel ripped off either. Modern bowling score keeping equipment. Friendly staff.
My son loves this place. We had a great time. Food is pricey if your paying for a large party expect a pretty penny.
Great place for kids and adults. Very clean and fun. The kids were happy. VR activity is pretty crippy but super fun. Food was a very delicious but a bit of a long waiting time, especially since we were alone there on Friday afternoon. We did not play bowling, but next time we will try.
It's good. Has good prices. But it lacks in the arcade section. I know its a bowling place but there's barely any games to play at the arcade
The big event is a nice little spot that kind of flies under the radar but it's actually a great spot to let off some steam with family or friends. The bowling lanes have fancy scoring computers that use your picture for the game stats, and they add a kind of theme to the game but I didn't care about all that. They had decent pool tables, the pool cues were reasonably straight and there is a whole video game room that we didn't have time for but looked pretty fun. I don't remember there being a large select
We love coming here ! Great atmosphere , friendly staff & very clean! They have sanitizing stations with wipes and sanitizer all over the building. Staff are constantly cleaning and counting the amount of occupants. Management limits the amount of guests based on covid guidelines. Food and bar are open currently as well!
Had a great time at the a big event with my 3.5 year old daughter, Natalie. We purchase a 20 dollar arcade card (you get 25 dollars for twenty), did an hour of bowling, and had a pizza. They had a six pound bowling ball for her to use- she was able to carry it her self. She had the bumpers up on the lane, and a ramp. Staff was friendly and place appeared clean. Will return. Thank you
Great place to go, arcade was a lot of fun for my nephew and myself, bowling was a lot of fun with plenty of TV?s to watch the Phillies game, and the food was great especially the smash burger
The managers were kind but sometimes were really slow when a drink spilled. The food and drinks were amazing though bowling was easy because u could pick out the perfect size for your ball and that arcade had some trouble with the cards and the wait to get prizes but once it was figured out the games were all so much fun ??
We had the best birthday party at the Big Event Bolero , Grayson, Jason, Kennedy, Mia, Marco we absolutely amazing! We he customer service was top notch! Definitely recommend having a party there!!
Ordered lunch to go, decided on the Cluckin Chicken! The sandwich was suppose to come with lettuce, pickles & mayo; with the option to add bacon. I added bacon, there was no bacon or lettuce! What I got was an over priced piece of chicken, that was fried too hard; and soggy fries! First and last time ordering from this place!
This is our first time and we did not like this place . Bowling lanes are fine Music is good Super expensive 10 dollars for ten games ( which will get over in 20 minutes usually ) food is super pricey and was too greasy or saucy.. I would not return or recommend this place mainly because of the cost and portion size was very bad as well ! Bite size and costed 13 usd per item . Ugh !
I had a wonderful time. The food was good went for my birthday.
My 9 year old nephew loved this place we where at the arcade area called game mania and he enjoyed every second of it. They sanitized everything every 30 minutes. Felt safe in the arcade room great job Big Event.
Lanes are absolutely terrible. The lanes were soo dry i had to bowl straight because I could not curve my ball. Somebody needs to pay attension to the lanes or learn how to oil them properly.
We had my daughter?s 5th birthday party here and it went really well. Online booking was easy, and I had questions (that I'd left until the day prior) that Katie from head office kindly and promptly helped me with via phone and email. The day of the party the center let us in 10 mins early to set up and the lane ends already had cute setups with lights and the food display. Our hostess (I'm sorry I forgot her name) was really sweet and was always available to make sure that everything was correct. Amand
This is a great spot, food was delicious service was great. Me and my group had a blast!
My family had a great time and the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Amanda at the front desk.
My girlfriend and I love coming to this place. It has everything we like in one building: bowling, arcades, redemption center, crane games, billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard, and so many more. The prices are great when you come for the specials after 9PM, which is unlimited bowling, arcade games (non ticket games), billiards, etc. We usually like to rack up many tickets to save for something big, especially on the Spongebob game (even though we jam it multiple times). Even the food here is great with many
This place was fantastic! My first time, party of four; my husband and sister-in-law's bday night out. Alex is amazing! (Seriously if you even think you want a pool table sign up before 11, 11:06 is much too late.) Highly recommend. Both food and drinks were good and service very nice, esp on a Saturday night, which is a rare find anymore. Tip the way you'd want to be tipped if you were doing what they are. 5 and under an hour is kinda cruel labor.
I booked a private room for 14 people for our fantasy football draft. The Room was great! Service was great! The department that handled the booking process was extremely nice as well. The beer is really good!
It was nice and comfortable. My time was during the day. I did find the back rooms.
It was my son?s birthday and I made reservations online for bowling. It was a bit expensive but he wanted to do this so, I did. I went to check in and I noticed the prices were $40-$50 cheaper than online. I asked why and they said because I reserved the lane and it cost more. I did not see that online and honestly I would have went somewhere else due to the cost. The food was good! We got the appetizers. wings, mozzarella bites, pretzel bites. You couldn't order a pitcher of soda by itself you could only
This place should shut down their arcade. It's terrible what they do to people. They have half the machines taking your credits and then the grab machines drop your stuff right before it releases to the drop. The food is way over priced.
I have been bringing my children and my family to this venue for a very long time. On my daughter?s 33rd birthday we decided to go back and have a bowling night with her, her siblings and parents. My daughter ordered me a glass of wine and did not have her ID so I went to order the wine for myself. The woman at the register badger, disrespected and accuse me of purchasing a glass of wine for my daughter. She continued to tell me if she saw my daughter drinking the wine that it would be taken from me and I w
My first time here ? excellent, friendly staff, and very optimal bowling alley & arcade gaming experience. I recommend them.
This place is definitely gone downhill after the corporate takeover. Food quality went way down prices overpriced. Sadly, this will be our last time here.
This place was so fun! Very neat, and clean. Plus the Thursday night deal (unlimited bowl, or arcade, or pool lounge) was a great one!
The food here is absolutely breathtaking!! Plus this place is up-to-date with covid-19 protocols may be far, but it's worth the drive
Amazing alley, very nice workers. Kennedy was very sweet, welcoming, and accommodating. ??
We had an amazing time celebrating a birthday at this bowling alley. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They even surprised us with complimentary chips and salsa, which was a delightful touch. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. Not only did they escort us to our lane promptly, but the friendliness of the staff made our evening even more enjoyable. The bartender went above and beyond by crafting a special birthday drink for my wife, which was fantastic.
Our department's holiday party was just held here and it was a big hit with everyone. We had three lanes, two high top tables behind the lanes and counter space that was filled with food and pitchers of soda that was continuously replenished by a very attentive attendant. The fare included three different types of pizza ??, veggies, chips and dips, salad ?? and more. A nice variety. The space was clean, comfy, spacious and easy to hang out and have fun in. The bowling lanes were clean, plenty of seating,
erlton social is a great bar with 24 craft beers on tap, about 20 other cans and bottles. food is pretty great and staff is friendly
Our server was Christina and she is amazing. She was on time with greeting me and ordered my replenishing food and drinks without me asking. I will be back in June and ask for her personally because she is amazing. Great customer service and I hope she's valued as an employee there at bowlero
We had a ball!!! We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday with a small family gathering we had a great private room. Amanda and Amy were super friendly and did everything to ensure we had a great time the whole staff on duty that day were all upbeat and friendly. This was my first time hosting an event for my inlaws they were very impressed . For my husband who is a big kid at heart this was the Ideal place. Melissa the event coordinator was great as well she was in constant communication throughout the plan
My daughter wanted to bring her friends to a bowling 'party' and at 14 years old, some bowling alleys just don't cut it. So, we drove from our Bellmawr home passing multiple bowling alleys to come to The Big Event, and all 9 of us had an amazing experience. Our waitress Kate, was amazing, and the manager, Alex-Andrea Shepherd not only made it feel like we were there for a party, but also allowed my daughter to order the large cookie cake even though it wasn't technically a 'party'. All of her friends had a
Family-Funtime. Clean. Reasonably priced. Modern bowling alley. Great music. Adult beverages. Good pizza and snacks.
Night out with the family, ended it with the arcade. Loaded up our cards, did the ax throwing machine, it malfunctions. Called the attendant over stood in front of the camera to reset it. We lost the funds we swiped and Marcos response was you still played I cannot give you points back. Bs. I have been going there for years. Anytime there's a malfunction, they adjust the points. I will not be going back here after the customer service experience with Marco. When's to fix it being told we played when c
We had a amazing day at the big event, the party host was very polite and friendly, kids has a blast ?? playing at the bowling ?? and the arcade, the food was delicious, thanks big event team
Full service bowling center with arcade games, bar, pizza etc.. best in cherryhill for indoor winter time family entertainment..
My family has been coming here for years. Great vibes, good food.
So much fun for all age groups!
Our experience at this place was truly terrible. We were celebrating our son's birthday party, and the children eagerly awaited the second round of pizza and drinks for over 45 minutes. Unfortunately, when the items finally arrived, we were given only two pies right at the end of the party. Even during the cake cutting, there was no one available to assist us, despite the promise made when we booked the event. Approximately 20 parents witnessed this chaos, and I doubt any of them would even contemplate cho
I love going to the Big Event. Very clean and the staff are very nice. The last time I visit they were remodeling. It look very nice.
What a great great place to take kids...my wife and I took our nephew 1st to Funplex they wanted general admission to play the games so we bailed on them and took a shot at The Big Event...our nephew had a blast (we did too lol)...it is just the right size for some fun and change of pace. Strongly recommend ??
Went here for my twin and my birthday. Jason was awesome getting us in last minute. Its awesome bowling alley and we will definitely be back!!!
It's a great place to go bowling, have Bday parties and even bring the kids to play in their arcade room! My 8yr old daughters love coming here to play the arcades, especially the virtual reality games.
We came here as a group of girls to enjoy some bowling. The outside of the building definitely needs some work. However the inside was very nice and our hostess was great. I feel like if the front was spruced up this place has potential for five stars.
I cannot 5 stars this place hard enough. My dfaughters neurodivergent pal started to melt down, the manager came to the rescue. Matt is a peach. The event planner Holly is a peach. The staff are all fabulous. everyone had a great time, loved their cookie cake, i love these people and i will absolutely be coming back. Eveyone had a BLAST in the arcade, it ruled, and it was easy. Peopling is hard for me. the staff here made it easy. id give them 10 stars if i could. <3 <3 <3
Love Big Event Bowling great attofmpshere awesome helpful friendly staff. Love the summer pass it's a great value. I also like the arcade great video games and air hockey.
We came from Phila for a party. The place looked nice but the chicken can chip a tooth. The bar service was horrible! When I placed my drink order we were the only people at the bar. Paid over $35 for a drink that tasted like juice after having to wait almost 30 minutes for it. While watching other people's drinks that ordered after me be made, including an 100 oz beer. But she claimed she didn't have time to make my drink! While trying to choke down hard wings. What a first time experience!
Amazing experience here for a 8 year old birthday party. A+++ Despite a crowded, rainy Saturday with other parties happening, the entire staff made us feel like we were the only one's in the building. Highly recommend!!!!!
Really cool bowling alley. They have good affordable food & alcoholic beverages. There's an arcade with lots of games. Great for a group date night or kids party.
As a Marketing professional in Corporate America, both in the U.S. and Canada, as a Team Leader/Member (employee), as well as, an Entrepreneur, I'm completely puzzled as to how Customer Experience strategies have NOT penetrated into the local businesses in America, such as the Big Event Bowling Alley in Cherry Hill, NJ. Sorrowfully, I was there on 27MaY2024 treating a family of us five(5) for a bowling session and regrettably, had ordered beverages and a plate of chicken wings. Regretfully and again, the pl
Went bowling and it was so much fun! Chill place with a separate arcade room with some fun games! A good place to hangout with friends and family!
Bowling is decent - one of the better places around that's for sure. They've put a lot of money into redoing it which gives it some nice upgrades. The food is OK pizza is frozen, fries and drinks are good
Well maintained lanes with great technology. Very modern. Fun arcade for the kids. Staff is very polite and helpful. Good food and drinks too. Highly recommend.
I've been going here with my son to shoot pool since it opened. It was fantastic. Everything was super clean, nice tables, great food and an awesome staff. Just found out it has been sold to Bowlero, who is changing alot to meet their corporate model. Apparently they fired most of the good people as they are severely understaffed. Restaurant/bar portion is closed. Nowhere near as clean. Pool tables are very unkempt. Not convenient to get snacks and drinks, especially with no wait staff. All this for $25/hr!
My family and I went on NYE (party of 10) when I tell you the staff was amazing. Maggie was great in making sure we were well accommodated. We had an amazing time. Lots of great food, drinks, music. Great way the spend the new year. Not to mention, the cleaning and sanitizing was great as well. Definitely will be coming back! Thank you everyone!
It's been awhile since I've been to a bowling alley but this seemed like a good place! It was spacious, clean, and comfortable and we had a good time! For food, we split an appetizer platter with wings, fries, tenders, and a few other things - it was better than I expected from a bowling alley, though a little salty (expected I guess)! One complaint I have is with reserving a lane. I reserved a lane for my party of 5 and we (a group of adults) were placed next to a big kids party and had to share a ball dis
Went bowling. Clean, equipped well, lanes well oiled and maintained. Computerized scorekeeper is excellent and easy to use.Staff (when present) were friendly. Can't rate the food or drinks because we never got service as promised. The lanes around us did, but we were ignored. I don't know why. ??
Always a great experience here. Have always encountered friendly staff. My son really likes the arcade. The food is good and as a food allergy mom, its important to choose a place with options for my sons. Management always checks the ingredients for me or brings out the ingredient card. Two thumbs up!!!
We stopped in on the Fourth of July to bowl a few games. The place is nice. My only challenge was the rental shoes. They looked nice but didn't slide. They actually seemed to have grip on the floor which totally threw of how we had to bowl.
Went out for bowling tonight and although I was a bit disappointed that the arcade no longer has my favorite game Stacker, the bowling experience and the manager definitely made up for it; Jason was phenomenal. His stellar customer service and positive, upbeat energy was really appreciated. Overall, a fun event for the family and friends with good food and good vibes!
The customer service in this place is phenomenal! My grandsons are disabled but we felt very comfortable and welcomed at The Big Event. There is someone cleaning every lane. so we felt safe. The food was delicious too! Thank you for letting all families get together and just have fun!
Been going here for years back when it was called Playdrome. Recently came back with a group of friends on 8/15/2024, and it was a bad experience. Lanes were extremely dry resulting in all of us being frustrated. We asked the employees at the desk to switch lanes multiple times and was denied each time.
Awesome experience for kids and adults. It's like Dave and Busters but a level lower. Still a great place.
Claudia is a great bartender , friendly and serves fast
We loved bowling here! Very clean, workers were very kind, especially the bartender who was super patient and kept everything straight with our bill. We ordered buffalo wings and garlic parmesan fries. The wings were extremely overdone, and the fries came limp and cold, with barely any garlic or parmesan. That part of our experience was disappointing.
Overall great, balls gets stuck at your frame time to time
The website fails to mention this is a Bowlero, not a private bowling alley! Overpriced games and food, unpleasent staff! Also, since its not posted anywhere. There are no refunds!!
This place has gotten pricey over the years. I think we paid $17.99 per person to bowl and we had 8 people. We bought a pizza, 3 mozzarella sticks, egg rolls, tater tots, lots of drinks for the adults, a pitcher of soda for the kids, and I was given a hard time about bringing in a coffee and a bottle of water. Really?? We spent well over $300 between bowling, food and the arcade. My kids don't drink tap water so I had a bottle of water and I was finishing my coffee. Come on. You have to do better with payin
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
