We visited The Big Apple Coaster, and my daughter had a fantastic time?she rode it twice! She absolutely loved the speed and excitement. As for me, I was too scared to give it a try! ?? It looked like so much fun, but also a bit intense. If you're a thrill seeker, you'll definitely enjoy it. If you're more like me, you might prefer just taking some pictures instead!
I've done this coaster few times and its really fun.. It's not at the level of theme parks, but its very cool as it takes you around New York new York and its just cool! Definitely worth the $25. It used to be busier, but now, during the week its not busy at all. Its Great, but plan to have someone keep your personal items or you'll have to pay for a locker to keep them safe as you can't bring it on with you.
Dude so much fun! You can't have any phones or cameras on you for the actual Coaster ride but totally worth it! I'd go again and again without hesitation. Workers were decently nice and helpful. Stood in line for probably 15 minutes even at 11pm but 100% worth the wait, so I'm glad they have something unique like this.
It wasnt as rough as i though it would be so that was a pleasant surprise but the real surprise is the cost per a ride its a little pricey for a single ride but it you love rollercoasters its still worth it to check it out and ride it.
Roller coasters cost $25 for one person. $5 coupons are available from hotel magazine. Add an additional ride for $10. Smooth ride until the end. Warning for those with motion sickness. It's outdoors.
The Big Apple Coaster is definitely a fun and iconic Vegas experience?one of those must-do staples if you've never been. The views are cool, and there's a nostalgic thrill to it. But be warned?it is rough. Like, seriously rough. If my 12-year-old son said it hurt, then you can imagine what it did to my 32-year-old self! It rattles you around a lot and definitely shows its age. It was fun and worth doing once for the experience, but they're long overdue for an update or smoother track. A little refurb and
Pricey for a single ride. They want you to use your phone to buy tickets but then put it in a locker that's not easily accessible from the line you wait in. It's kind of chaos. And that's after you've had to walk through the noisiest arcade on the planet. On top of that, the only Togo built coaster left in America isn't holding up so well, even with new trains. It's a one and done for me.
I had so much fun on this ride. No long line. My only problem was that it shook me around a lot and felt a little bit old. I love this ride so much and the location is perfect
Honestly, the ride itself is super fun. It has a little bit of everything from drops to loops. However, the only complaint is the price is a little high in my opinion for the one ride, but that's vegas for you.
This roller coaster is a surprise delight?twisting and looping right above the casino floor. The thrill factor is high, especially with that 180-degree twist at the end. The arcade below is nostalgic and fun for all ages, too. It's chaotic, loud, and feels like pure Vegas?totally worth the adrenaline rush.
Cool experience being on a coaster in Vegas! Since I've been on most of the biggest and best coasters in the USA & Canada I'd say this coaster isn't going to blow you away but it's a cool experience. It is smooth at times but a bit rough as well. $25. For one ride is pretty steep. There were signs for riding again for $10. But also a sign hidden along the side that said $15. So I guess depending on how busy it gets they may up the price.
Probably the best rollercoaster (most definitely the longest ride) I have ever been on. SO glad we did this and totally worth the money for the smiles on the faces afterwards.
We celebrated my son's 13th birthday party here with the kids, and everyone had a fantastic time! The arcade was both clean and entertaining, with no long lines due to the manageable crowd. The roller coaster was a definite highlight for them, and the staff were readily available to assist with any game issues. I suggest planning on $100 a card per child, so they have enough credits to enjoy the entire arcade.
We didn't ride the coaster but we did venture through the arcade. We had so much fun trying our skills as the games. It was a good place to spend an hour and make some memories. If you visit New York New York why not go play some games for fun. Eitherway the house gets your money so why not go play it on machine for just enjoyment. We like all the coin pushers and crane games. Hope you find your favorite games.
Now this was fun. Went on a Sunday evening in June. No wait time at all. Fantastic views and a thrilling ride. I only wish they would use more stable shoulder straps - it can get quite bumpy.
Call Koob think it is my absolute last roller coaster ride that I'm gonna do. So exciting. It was absolutely both thrilling and unexpected. They match you and make sure it is super super super tight. I still think I had my dress up around my waist lol. Beautiful weather. It was absolutely perfect for this. However it was more than I expected. I am only 56 and my head definitely bounced around within side of the head strap area felt like a pinball. If you have any type of neck issue or anything ring similar,
$25 a person, pricey, but lots of people are riding it! They don't allow you to bring your hone with you, they have signs all over the place. They have locker ($). If you play MyVegas slot game, you can get the ticket for free. Great ride, love it!! On the 4th of July Thu evening, we wait for ~20 min to ride, not too bad.
So much fun. Coolest experience to ride a roller coaster in the middle of a big city. Of course tickets are on the high side for just one ride, but it's Vegas, so everywhere you go you're going to expect outrageous prices. I recommend doing this at night since the city is lit up and you can ride right by the nightlife of Vegas! We were able to request the front row & the queue was only about 10 minutes, even on a Friday night which was a huge plus!!
Well, not sure I should have expected a well-maintained smooth ride ... but wow, this was the most juddery, herky-jerky coaster I've ever been on. Safety announcements and instructions were garbled, and the teenagers running it all didn't seem to have a big interest in actually keeping things organized in the line area (we literally saw two different sets of riders skip the line and nobody cared?). We are glad we did it just to check it off the list, but tbh I kinda wish we just hadn't wasted the $ or time.
I had the opportunity to go on the roller coaster two times: one time during the day, and the other at night. Aesthetics wise it was a lot more fun to go at night and see all the Las Vegas Lights. However, the line is significantly longer at night because of this. I would recommend having your hair up if you have long hair so it doesn't turn into a rat?s nest (but no claw clips because that is highly likely to injure the back of your head. Lastly, I also HIGHLY recommend NOT sitting in the back cart of the
I think is great roll coaster, I played twice. One for day and one for night. It's high and speed is great. Worth the money.
They are totally disorganized and unprofessional. It was Christmas day. They over stuck the line with more then 100 people and although the line was moving at the beginning after few minutes stopped and we had to wait not knowing why for over 1 hour. They had crazy loud music playing and at the same time making announcements that you can't understand because of the loud music. No management, no staff to keep us informed. Simple disaster!
We knew the tickets were overpriced, but they also make you rent a locker, which is pretty unacceptable. The ride was super rough and bumpy. We both hated it.
A must do nighttime activity. I'm from Ohio where we have Kings Island and Cedar Point so I love roller coasters and had high expectations for the NYNY coaster. Along with the breathtaking nighttime views of the Strip and New York New York, the roller coaster ride itself was actually very fun. It is $25, which for Vegas is actually kind of cheap lol. They require you to empty your pockets in a locker that you must purchase but it's only $1 for an hour (again, surprisingly cheap for Vegas lol, I was happy th
My friend and I rode this around 10:25pm on a Sunday evening. There was no line at all. It was nice. This was my second time riding it. I rode it the last I was in Vegas 2 years ago. The weather was perfect! This is definitely not a ride you want to do in the middle of a hot day! I made that mistake the last time lol. I didn't like how there was no working or any hype, that's typically for roller coasters. The ride just started without warning or anything. A couple staff members did clap upon return, whic
I rode this roller coaster when I was 15. It was closed each time I was back in Las Vegas. This past visit, it was open. I'm 37 and I couldn't have had more fun! It's a bit pricy, $25 per ride. It is $28 dollars for the 1st picture and $10 for each after. Great time overall!
Not as smooth as it looks. Definitely go at night to enjoy the lights. Jars you around and I sat in the middle of the car. Definitely make sure you don't have any physical problems before going on this ride. They make you take your cell phone out prior to riding cause they want to charge you for pics after. I'm sure people have lost their phones also. Short and crazy ride.
Fun little rollercoaster! I took my teen on and he loved it. It's $25, but $18 with a military discount (I believe this also included veterans + first responders). We went in the middle of the day and there was no line at all. The views of the strip were fun and it had some good flips and drops.
So last night I went to Emerils Fish House inside the MGM Grand and the food and service was amazing as usual! Went to the Big Apple show and as a local to Las Vegas I just loved that show. It was amazing! I mean it was so interesting, so much good talent ! I mean I wish I could be a part of it the performers looked like they all were having so much fun! Thank you for such amazing service and an amazing show! If you're visiting Las Vegas definitely try these two places it's worth the money .
I can't comment on the rollercoaster however we did buy tickets, queued for approximately 15 minutes with no movement before being told the ride was temporarily closed due to high winds. None of this was mentioned when we bought the ticket on the door which was frustrating and confusing. They did give us a refund however the lack of communication was very poor.
They don't let you get in with your phone and you have to pay a 1 dollar locker to leave it there, it also shakes too much, I'm a roller-coasters addicted lover and I visit many around the world but I wouldn't come back yo this one, my sister hurt her ears on the shoulder protection with the shakes the ride does, it's not smooth like the modern ones. I wouldn't recommend it unless for the experience of saying you already ride this roller-coaster. :/
Unique coaster experience. I was there over New Year's when it wasn't too busy. The wait to ride was relatively short and the coaster is fun to ride. It's not the biggest or fastest coaster in the world, but it is on the Strip and gives an unusual view of Las Vegas. My family ended up riding twice, we enjoyed it so much. The arcade area is pretty tyipcal for most Las Vegas activities, it is overpriced but fun
The ride is extremely shaky and rough. After the horrible ride, my son's head was hurting from all the banging. At $25 for one ride, I expected much better. To make things worse, New York New York smells like sewage and cigarettes.
BEST. ROLLERCOASTER. EVER!! If u love rollercoasters then ur literally not gonna want to get off of this one! I stayed in the New York hotel and it was so easy to get to the roller coaster. The drop is 206 feet and it does go upside down twice but it's so worth it! 100% recommend!
Is it worth twenty-five dollars? Yes. If you haven't been before and you're with a group of people. It's a pretty great roller coaster, actually very exciting. There are at least two big drops and a corkscrew that goes into a loop-the-loop. I wouldn't go again for a few years because it's expensive for just a single ride, but I'm glad I went the one time!
This coaster easily competes with some big park coasters. I went on it twice. I sat in the front and back. Bob were so fun!!! Check it out for sure!!
so much fun, $25 per person, if you love roller coasters and you're an adrenaline junkie, definitely go on it
Me and my 15-year-old son really enjoyed this coaster and felt it was a moderate to high thrill coaster. The best part is we got to write it again for a big discount and did so three times.
A fun 3-minute ride that was offered as part of my Go City pass. If you have a bag or purse, you are required to rent a locker for an additional $1 (cash or credit card only) for up to 1 hour. At the end of the ride, you can purchase an extra ride for $10. The height minimum is 54 inches. I'm not sure of the max but a rider had to be reseated due to his height.
My first TOGO-manufactured coaster that I've ridden on. It's rough in the loop parts but otherwise enjoyable. But I wish that repeat rides weren't so expensive.
It's so whippy and rough but it's so fun I loved banging my head multiple times this is a real roller coaster right here, this is amazing I love the new trains
Firstly, as an amputee was told to stand aside as as I'm disabled I will have to wait and have a climbing harness attached. I've ridden hundreds of coasters, never have I been made to feel so disabled, singles out Infront of everyone. The girl on the gate should watch how she handles people with disabilities. A manager came over, explained why and what would happen. I was not allowed to sit in the front row, so I chose the rear. The manager put me in the harness and advised me she is comping me a secon
My daughter and I had an amazing time!!! We were able to ride the coaster twice. The whole staff was very professional. Special shout out to Marco G!!!!! Thank you!
For an older roller coaster it was one of the best ones I've been on. Great fun and highly recommended
I really wish I seen the reviews before getting on this ride. It's overpriced for a single ride ? the ride was extremely bumpy, I kept smacking my head and back multiple times. Miserable experience, I wanted it to end the minute i went down the first drop. BEWARE!!!
The roller coaster at New York New York is a wild ride! Felt like we toured all of NYC in two minutes?upside down! Laughed, screamed, and almost lost our lunch. Totally worth it for the thrill and hilarious photos!
No wait during weekdays. Very fun, fast and exhilarating ride. Well worth the price. Great afternoon activity on the strip.
Take a look at YouTube reviews before riding, very poor, even with the new trains... And the fact that this place thinks they can charge $25 for this ?? Literally praying on people who have no idea how bad this is. Don't bother
No queue, but staff waited ten minutes to fill up cars before releasing, which is not really helping them to promote this ride somehow. And the ride was painful for my wife, straps kept hitting her head.
My 8 year old daughter loves it a lot and said this is her favorite activity in LV.
The ride is cool but unfortunately the African American front desk rep who I've had the misfortune of running into twice now is racist, demeaning, and rude.
Tourist trap DO NOT GO!! The roller coaster is so rough, you will leave with back and neck pain! AVOID AT ALL COST. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!
The roller coaster at New York-New York is a super cool experience, especially being up high on top of the hotel. It features two thrilling drops and a loop that really gets your adrenaline pumping. We redeemed myVEGAS coins for an all-day scream pass, which was definitely worth it, particularly at night when you can enjoy the stunning views of the Vegas lights. The combination of the ride's excitement and the vibrant cityscape makes for an unforgettable experience. If you're a thrill seeker, I highly reco
The ride itself was fun and there was no line, but it's ridiculously expensive. A second go is an extra $10.
One of the best roller coaster rides I have ever ridden. Everyone should keep all your belongings inside the locker provided inside the area. Even cellphones and cameras are not allowed. The ride is too bumpy and your body will be constantly squeezed by the force. If you by any chance keep your cellphone or camera in your packet, I am sure it will be broken into pieces by the time the ride is over. People suffering from back pain, neck pain or any kind of pain do not attempt to ride. The force is too much
Nice coaster, but really expensive. You don't have to wait long. When you go outside, you might be able to go again with a significant discount. So be careful of people at the entrance who supposedly sell tickets at a discount. A guy offered me these supposedly ?cheaper? tickets, but fortunately, he was immediately taken away by security.
If you plan on riding the coaster, get there way before 11pm,lines was very long, people walking out,no refunds being issued. They only wanna give you a card refund to come back :(
This was the roughest coaster I've ever been on. Literally paid $50 for my daughter and I to get our as*es kicked.
Very expensive for an Australian and rough as hell. I have bruises and my daughter?s head was knocked around like a soccer ball in a Beckham game. Would not recommend!
the ride is worse than shaky and uncomfortable and defenitely not woth the premium of 25$! worst ride of my life and I have been on many coasters
We loved the coaster. Drops, loops, decent speed. Such a cool experience and not terribly expensive, if you pay for a second ride after your first you get a pretty good discount.
Great roller coaster, my 8 year old loved it, minimum height is 54 inches and they are very strict about it being without shoes. First ride is 25$ but if you go again it will be 10$.
It's a good coaster but boy does it BOUNCE you and your head around. ?? It's quite long too.
This coaster was pretty surprising to me! I went in to this ride with very low expectations and it definitely exceeded those expectations. I didn't find this ride very rough for most of it, the inversions were fun, and it was just an overall fun ride. I wasn't a big fan of the hills at the end because of the sharp valleys. The only reason this ride isn't getting a 5 star review is because it costs $25 to ride and you have to walk through the smelly casino to get there. But if you need the credit, go for it!
I rode this roller coaster with low expectations, and let's just say it met those expectations. The ride itself was pretty fun, but not worth the $25. It was incredibly rough and it kept bashing my head to the sides of the seats. The restraints were concerning, as they had cracks in them. Fun experience but would not recommend.
this roller coaster is terrible to start off it's 25$ per rider which is pricey and definitely not worth it. theres no phones aloud and you have to pay for a locker. the line was 45 minutes long and very slow the ride itself was fun but the seatbelt?s aren't even seatbelts they are full on constraining harnesses. at the very end of the ride we were stuck for 30 minutes in the dark screaming for help in 95 degrees they had to shut down the whole ride and no workers came up to check on anyone meanwhile there
They scam you! They changed my card for 50 dollars few days later refunded it then recharged me 100.00 my bank won't do anything cuz they see that refund and not the original charge for the 50.!! Assholes !
Nice roller coaster experience inside the city and desert, short ride but fun.
Horrible, painful ride, hitting my head on each side. I was on the first car today 5-8-25.
I thought it'd be a gimmicky little ride, but it got me good. Very fast, very scary, on par with theme park coasters. You're required to rent a locker and store your stuff, which makes sense - huge liability for falling objects. Would definitely recommend for fun activity while exploring the strip.
Very fun ride. A lot better than you would expect from Vegas? only rollercoaster that is operated by a hotel. However it hurts a little when making fast turns which it does a lot. And the staff doesn't seem to care at all.
Arrived and we're very excited, the first guy let my 7 year go through the gate, and checked his height and told us we are good to go ! He was just the right height. Then we waited in another line for a while. Finally got to the coaster and they made my son take his shoes off which made him to short to ride. He was balling his eyes out because he was so excited and they just told us to bad go get a refund. Very disappointed. Not only did we not get covered for the tickets, we taxied there and back for nothi
I'm a huge rollercoaster fan so this was a must for me while in Vegas. I thought it was a fun coaster with a decent amount of thrill. It was neat to see The Strip from it. I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as the line to purchase tickets was longer than the line to board the coaster.
The expeensives would be justified if the ride was longer but, the ride was so short with not many big high drops
Went on this coasters several times within 3 days and we were able to purchase a 10$ "re-ride" ticket after our initial 25$ tickets each, with no hassle. Then after waiting 40 minutes in line we got declined purchasing another "re-ride" because of a few hours. Asked the manager if there was anything stating that this was a rule and she said " no, but because of people like you, It's changing ". So, because of your lack of competence and leadership we won't be returning.
They offer a big discount for first responders etc. but you cannot do that from the kiosks. You need to find the main coaster/arcade front desk. But also, make sure you get a receipt!!! With the receipt you can ride again for only $10! But if you don't have a printed receipt, you cannot. We learned both of those the hard way..... Didn't know about the discount until it was too late, and didn't know about the $10 re-ride option until after we threw out the receipt... I stead of riding twice for $27, we rode
This place was fun I would highly recommend to take your family here to ride the coaster and play arcade games
I have been on many roller coasters, but I will say this is a very good one. With it being a ride in the Las Vegas strip, it was just a great bonus. I will warn that they will not let you take anything loose and will make you put everything in a locker, so go through the line and show your digital tickets on your phone first and get the e-ticket tags before you lock your phone and all your stuff in a locker. The lockers are only $1, so it's not a big deal either way.
It was a great experience but they had to measure my brother 4 times because they said my brother was too short and he his 4.8 and the roller coaster was supposed to be 4.6 and i don't know if it was because she was jealous that she couldn't get in it because she was shorter than him so I don't know but this experience was awful.
Yes, $25 for one ride is insane. We got a two-for-one deal because we are staying at New York New York, and I guess $12.50 for one ride is ? less insane? Another dollar to rent a locker for our bags just felt insulting, but I guess $1 is as close to free as it gets in Las Vegas. Anyway, I don't regret it. It was a great ride. We screamed our heads off and laughed like crazy and got off with our adrenaline rushing and big smiles on our faces. Can't ask for more than that!
The best roller coaster in Las Vegas!
So for this specific review I'm only talking about Rollercoaster, it was a terrible disappointment, I haven't been more disappointed than I was when I got on the coaster, on the internet it said that the price was $14 for the first ride then $7 or $8 afterwards, when I finally got to the desk to pay turns out that the first ride was $25 then it's $10 afterwards, so I paid the $25 already upset that there was false advertising on the price, finally I ride the coaster and I didn't get a single thrill, not a s
I had wanted to try this for 9 years! My son & his girlfriend came for the weekend and he and I rode it together for the first time for the both of us! Such an amazing experience! Staff was great at crowd control and ticket taking. I hadn't had so much fun in months..thank you so much for a great time!
Decent coaster. Got on the ride with a basically non-existent line (but it was a Wednesday in November, so do with that info as you will). It's a little expensive for a single ride, but I suppose that's just part of the premium cost of doing anything on the Strip. The ride itself has good inversions and I felt very secure in my seat. However the coaster is a bit jerky and I kept banging the back of my head against the headrest, which also resulted in me getting a sore back.
Avoid this at all costs. The most inefficiently run thing I have ever experienced. They charge $25 a ride but it took one hour when there were only 50 people in line because of the incompetence and being understaffed. Manager was rude when I complained and said ?I waited 2 hours for a coaster at Disney.? Disney would NEVER take an hour to put 50 people on a ride. Do better MGM! The corporate people should be completely ashamed by this terrible ?resort? you are running.
Not crazy about spending $25 for one ticket...but it's Vegas so I guess I am not surprised. Entertaining.
Very fast and powerful; the heart-line roll twisting into the inversion was very intense!!??
I love rollercoasters but I wouldn't be waste $25 on this one. It was really jerky and I kept banging myself around that it hurt. I wasn't able to enjoy the scenery. Also, it's super easy to unclip the lap bar which can lead to potential lawsuit. What's even more stupid is you have to put your things in a locker BUT it's not free! $1 for small locker and $2 for large locker. Anyway to get money.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
