Westminster, Colorado 80020
I've been to all the 1ups and this is definitely my favorite one! Big selection of video and pinball games. I drive up from downtown just to play some of these pinball games. They have a good selection of food and drinks. They even have "bottle service" for MD 20/20. Lol
This place is simply awesome. I've been to the other 1Up locations around Denver and Greenwood Village, but this location is new, clean and bright, and has a huge footprint. Lots of games, pinball, and full size, sit-down games too. Token exchange machines throughout, 4 tokens for s dollar. Most games are one token to play, pinball machines are $1 for one play, or $2 for three plays. There is a large, full service bar, and seats and booths for eating food. It's very bright and airy - the layout doesn't req
Westminster location was great!!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Hayley was fantastic bartender!!! She was great and service was on point. Now if you like old school games and pinball machines. Then this place will rock your socks off. They are family friendly until 7pm. Then sorry Young Padawan?s it's Jedi time!!!! Definitely had a great time and loved all the games!!! This will take you back if you are looking for a night out!!! 1up burger was and is the best brings out your inner Homer S. ????!!!! The
We loved this place! Looking for pinball to play while on vacation and stopped here after reading reviews. We liked it so much we came back the next day. Great selection of games. Loved the drink menu and the ones we tried we great.
came back on mothers day 2025. great staff, great food. no complaints love this new location! great selection of pinball machines, plenty of seating and the drinks are always strong!
1up is mine and my fianc??s favorite place on earth! We were extremely excited when this Westminster location opened up just 10min from our home. We arrived here for opening night and every night since then has not disappointed! S/O to the amazing bartenders; Mike for taking care of us on Valentine?s Day and for bartender B for becoming our regular. P.S Tapper is my all time favorite, let's fight for high scores ??????
This is the closest thing to a true pub experience you'll ever get! The bartenders are friendly, the games are fun, and the food is fantastic! If you come here and are having a bad time, you may be hangry.
My 11 year old son and I love this place. The games are amazing. Games from my childhood and newer games for kids. It is really great to show my son the games that I grew up on. Really special. They also have the BEST French fries I've ever had... They are always friendly and kind every time we come in here.
1Up gave big nostalgia energy with better-than-expected bar food. I stacked it against other arcade spots and it held its own. Their burgers and fries were solid, and the drinks were strong enough to make you forget how bad you are at pinball. Great vibe, great playlist, and solid snacks. Want to see who won the arcade food showdown? It's all on Faith?s Faves and TikTok @faithsfavorites.
Good variety of pinball machines and classic arcade games plus they've got guitar hero. Reasonable prices on drinks. Mostly friendly staff.. Twenty bucks for a bag of tokens equals a fun and cheap way to spend a few hours. Westminster location seems bigger and has more room than the Colfax location.
As a major Barcade fan/Colorado native, I was stoked to learn there's a 1up in Westminster now! Nice selection of games and beverages. We didn't't have any issues with any of the games we played. The environment is fun and nostalgic. The only small inconvenience was that not all games have a beverage holder attached, or a nearby table. Regardless, I look forward to returning here soon!
Nice selection of pinball at $1 ea. Or 3/$2 Beer $11 just like Denver.. Bartender really told me some games are 2 credit per play and some 1 coin, "yeah it's just random" If you're looking for family friendly d&b is weak but WONDERLAND brewing is a great choice, pinball & putput. Looking for fighting games & cheap arcade? please check out akihabara in westminster!!!
I've had nightmares about being served middle school cafeteria lunches that were better than this $15 Sysco gourmet frozen patty. Bartenders are amazing, video games are great. Don't eat here.
Love this place. Great drink options, great bartenders, great atmosphere for adults at night. Bring your kids in the day for some fun too! Lots of video games options from old school to the new and lots of pinball options. A real great experience for anyone honestly.
We were so excited for this to open in the area! It was so much fun! Not to mention completely affordable, good music and a laid back atmosphere. Loved that they have all of the classic arcade games and pinball machines.
Awesome investment for adult game time. Wouldn't recommend you get adults as they probably would not recognize or enjoy any games, this place is old school awesome!!!
I just had the best time at this place! Seriously, it's such a FUN spot! It feels like the biggest location I've ever been to, and there are so many games to play. What really made my visit special was the staff?they were so sweet and had such great energy! It felt like they were genuinely excited to be there, and that made all the difference. I can't wait to go back! Definitely a solid 5 stars from me!
Our nephew loved it. They have a full bar which was great for adults. During the day, kids/families can join in on the fun and at night it turns to adults only. Games were priced well in my opinion except pinball was so expensive for some reason, not sure why.
Very spacious, more retro games than you can imagine. The staff is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Will be back!!!
Always a fun time here! Love all the pinball. This review is for Daniel at the bar. His service is amazing! Further, when we came, business was slow. he used his time to thorouhly clean the margarita machine, rather than dink around on his phone like we often staff at other places do. Daniel is clearly hard working, friendly, and valuable to the business.
We had the most amazing experience. The kids ask to go back everyday. The staff, especially Hayley, were so friendly and had great attitudes. They really love their jobs and it shows. The fun drink menu was also whimsical. Everyone should come visit
Hanna & Bee at the Westminster and LODO location made me feel secure and safe. I will definitely be coming back to BOTH pics because of them both. Love them here they deserve the best here.
I've had great experiences the few times that I've come here. There's a pretty great variety of games and they seem to be well maintained and clean. However, they need to clarify their age policy. I (20) have been in twice before with people who were over 21 but not my parents, but recently I was turned away and told that I had to be with a parent and that whoever let me in previously ?wasn't doing their job?. The website does not say that the adult has to be a parent, as pictured below. I respect whatever
This place is cool/fun but DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD OR RUN A TAB! Fairy certain that I had my card information stolen during the time we were eating there and playing games. Found it strange that I had to provide my ID with my card (to be held at the bar) and the box that cards are stored in, is within reach of bar patrons! Add in surly bar staff, no responses to Google reviews and a phone number that does not work and you get a place that is sketchy at best! Quite a shame because I do appreciate the awes
One ups Did it again opened up another fantastic place? To play pinball and your favorite arcades, food, Beer, great staff highly recommend this location.
Good concept, poor execution. Guy at the door was the first impression and seemed very uninterested. Not sure why you need to card people at the door when there were kids everywhere. Bartender said a waiter would be around to take our food order. Waited for a while, never took or asked if we wanted anything. Only reason for 3 stars is one Bartender seemed to want to provide good customer service and she was super sweet. Wanted to like this place, just couldn't get into it.
Set the high score opening week. If you think you can beat me, come take a shot! Staff is awesome, location is not a dive bar. Awesome pinball location.
Door staff were friendly, bartenders were dismissive. Food was okay, I liked the games but they failed to really draw you in. Stopping food service three hours before you close is a little odd. Drinks were good, I enjoyed the variety, however I will never return to this location since they physically keep your ID and Credit card when you open a tab. Never in my life has a bar done that and it seriously rubbed me the wrong way especially because when returned the bartender didn't even look to see if it was m
Crazy busy! I went on a Friday night though. Glad to see them so busy! Staff was nice, games are reasonably priced. Fun experience! Glad there's one in Westminster now. Can't beat 1 token (25 cent) skee ball! Had a great mix of the classics and some new stuff too.
Just opened! It's three big rooms, bar and arcade games in the middle when you walk in, more arcade games to the left, more arcade games and pinball to the right. The place is super nice and clean so far, all of the staff are friendly and eager!
So ecstatic to have a 1up in our neck of the woods! This location is great. Tons of room, lots of games and these really unique pinball monitors so you can easily watch your friends play without crowding. My only critical comment is sometimes that bar line was pretty long, but I also understand that it just opened up and everyone is checking it out. Just be aware and patient or bring cash to use the token machines.
We are long-time patrons of the two other 1up's. The new location is fantastic! Friendly staff and great arcade. I also have to add that parking is a snap (unlike downtown Denver)
We went out for a late Valentine?s Day date Saturday night and maybe it was just an off night but the bar staff did not seem to be having a good time. It was only 9pm and was decently busy. No one behind the bar had a smile, it seemed chaotic, the card holding system for starting a tab seemed disorganized and a good way to get someone?s card stolen or lost, no one seemed to be working together on things, our drinks were wrong and when I ask for them to fix it she seemed bothered and then she fixed the wrong
Like the other 1up locations, about half of the place is pinball machines. Personally I'm not a pinball fan, but if you do you'll have fun. The rest of the games.... Not much of a selection to be honest. Super random mix of games, but nothing really to keep playing. Drinks are nominal, not super overpriced. The low rating was due to the service. There were moments in where we waited for over 10 mins for drinks multiple times. There was less than 150 people, not packed at all for how big the location is. The
Amazing place, tons of games and I cant seem to stay away. Staff is amazing and friendly. Will be coming back every weekend!!!
Total gem for any arcade junkie. Wall-to-wall rare cabinets, modern hits and few redemption or raw thrills games. Epic pinball lineup?most with video screens above for that extra wow. Many LE games too. The vibe is pure nostalgia, food?s legit, drinks flow strong, and there's tons of space to hang. You won't want to leave.
Came in with a coworker to blow off some steam and avoid going downtown. (Downtown 1 up imo is better service and drinks). Door staff was friendly and walking in it wasn't too packed. We had heard mixed reviews about this location but decided to try it out. We went up to the bar and sat down to grab some drinks and a snack before playing the games. There seemed to be 4-5 bartenders but none acknowledged us right away despite the bar not being busy. Finally one of the female bartenders acknowledged us and s
This place has become mine and my husband?s second home. Staff is so friendly and remember us, which feels good! The food is yummy and their handcrafted cocktails are delicious, especially the Heisenberg. You've gotta come check it out! #playmorepinball
Great space with a ton of games. We noticed some of the older games like Double Dragon were really laggy when the screen got full of characters which means they're emulating and probably running on something like a raspberry pi. Aside from that they have a TON of pinball machines, good drink specials and a friendly staff.
Love the games, the food, the friendly people. Definitely a must check out spot ^__^ Bee Daniel Johnny And tonight Hannah (My apologies to the other wonderful staff, I have the memory of a goldfish for names lol) All of you guys are super wonderful. I really like this place. Sorry I was accidentally a dick to Hannah tonight because of a miscommunication =( I didn't mean to be, I came off harsher than I meant to. We talked it out and I really appreciate how understanding and sweet she was even though I acci
Amazing layout and so many cool game options! Service was great, we were served by Bee, very helpful and welcoming! I'd definitely love to come back, 10/10!
Meh, not bad and local. Staff is good. Not many places to sit down but after all it's a arcade. I get that dave and busters feel but maybe not as good. Might go back and experience it without kids because we had to be out by 7pm. After that it's 21+. Wings are pretty good. Might up the score after a second try. I would say check it out for yourself.
Absolutely fantastic. Staff is wonderful in every possible way. Cost effective solution to cure boredom. Drinks are amazing and food is shockingly good. It cures everything I have when I get there.
The drinks were tasty, the appetizers hot and wings crispy. There's a lot to play for different styles and prizes in a couple of machines. We had a fun time at this creative arcade bar. I can't wait to come back or even check the other spots!
They have my favorite game from when I was a kid, Joust! The bartenders are so sweet, especially Anne!
Awesome spot. Stopped in to kill some time before a flight and wish I could have stayed longer. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Great food and drink items as well. Lots of pinball games and classic standup arcade games. Will visit again when passing through the area!
I love coming here Bee, Yahya and Brennan always make me feel like a queen! Lit games and great drinks! Pickle shots here are so delicious too!
It's nice having a 1up outside of Denver? and I had a great time? until the kids started coming in. The kids were damaging controllers, running around everywhere and just made the experience bad. I love the concept, but I was hoping it was just for adults (I thought that was the case with having security check ids at the front) like the other location downtown, because the kids will just destroy the games like I witnessed them do.
The staff is extremely rude! Multiple times did not get acknowledged at the bar to get a drink. Waited 10 minutes to get served food. Went up to the bar to ask how to order food. They did not even want to acknowledge we are standing there, asking them questions. Then finally got to talk to somebody and they didn't want to let us order because it was 9:45 and the kitchen closed at 10. Would be nice if they could get friendly staff at a fun place!
The Beer was cold, and their is a plethora of pinball machines. The place was really busy, but the size made it easy to navigate. They also serve food, but I was only their for a drink and some pinball. Met my expectations.
Great games and well maintained pinball machines.
As a neurodivergent individual, This is one of the worst places that my friends consistently want to drag me into. It is consistently packed and crowded, almost half of the arcade cabinets are completely destroyed like drunk idiots. And everything's sticky from the sugary alcoholic drinks that everyone's drinking to pretend that they're still children. It's really unfortunate because they're suffering from success a little bit here. It's packed because it's popular, people are buying lots of sugary drinks b
Bartending is a joke. Waiting for simple drafts and nobody cares. Team members are always chatting and taking care of their friends before real paying patrons. Can't order food cuz wait staff doesn't give a crap about customer service.
Came for opening night for a friend?s birthday and I was not disappointed!! Honestly, most opening nights are a disaster but the food here was legitimately amazing for bar food. The staff was honest when they didn't know things (always appreciated) and the drinks were flowing. I'd come again.
Idk about the low rewiews, but this place is great!, Brielle is super awesome, and Burt Raynolds look alike is coo also, sometimes he forgets stuff, it's ok tho. Can't wait to go back. Maybe do a special after a Colorado Rapids win a Game.
First the good, a ton of standup arcade games and a good selection of beers. Now the not so good. The beers are over priced compared to the nearby alternatives. The food is also expensive, very basic and barely better than fast food. If you are hungry or thirsty, visit another spot before going to 1up.
Yes, yes, yes! A thousand times yes! I stepped through the door and was magically transported back 40 years! There was Gyruss, my old friend. We spent most of the afternoon together, at a quarter a shot. Just like old times! And talk about pinball. Just like dying and going to Bally heaven! How would I improve this magical place? Drop the pinball to two tokens per play, and don't blast any music on the sound system that wasn't recorded in the 80s. I will definitely be back, and will tell everyone
The staff are always amazing even when busy! Sometimes they seemed understaffed for the business but their attitude always makes up for it. I've enjoyed everytime i've been here minus the few times where parents with disrespectful unattended children were there, which is no fault of the staff or the establishment.
Large variety of games. Many are multiplayer making for a great time with friends. They're still working out the kinks but I'd like to see better food and cheaper drinks. Currently, $8 per beer is steep. I know they sell novelties like 40s and mad dog but I'm not in my 20s anymore. Bring beer and drink prices down closer to $5 so I don't feel like I should have pregamed before I arrive.
Place was a 5* the first few times, chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. However I mainly go for pinball and a few of machines seem to not be properly set up. Too steep! Medieval Madness in particular and comet. I can get over 40 million on MM digitally but it's a huge hassle to clear 5-10 million on the machine now. Lots of ball stalling on ramps and weird center play from the steepness. Very frustrating experience!!
I love the food there and the fun games! I went and it was a blast!! The pickle chips and blue slushie are delicious and well made! I recommend the Westminster one 100%!
Absolutely love this place! So happy to have one up north. The workers are always very friendly. Love how open and spacious this location is. $2 Coors light on Sundays ???? I always have a great time!
This place is great. Brought my 4 boys to play some pinball and was amazed at all the other fun things they had to do. Will definitely come back multiple times in the future.
Wild policy, can ID a parent and let 5 children into the arcade. Cant allow an adult without and ID into the arcade. This wasn't even going to the bar. Mark a hand or something.
Well 1up is lame. No under 21 after 7pm everyday. Really missing out in revenue doing that. Bummer for cool dads that want to have fun with their kiddos :(
decent food, massive pinball section, good drinks (bit heavy on the liquor in cocktails) great 3rd place with friends to spend a few hours at and eat, play games, vibe. not massive but big enough to pick and choose what you do with $20 coin package.
One of the more friendlier locations (most 1ups are pretty solid when it comes to service but this one takes the cake) Also, a lot of rare machines that I didn't even know existed (Return of the Jedi, Tron disc, Fix-it Felix) I'll happily make the trek from Lakewood to Westminster.
Great addition to the neighborhood. After 7:00pm it's +21. Staff is friendly and it's a fun atmosphere.
Had a good time here! I really love the games and it's so fun! Not too loud in the morning and it's a good place to go! (Ps mozzarella sticks are fire????)
Awesome barcade, super cool games and fun atmosphere. Bee served us and was amazing, super sweet and fun to talk to. Highly recommend :)
I was there Tuesday very nice arcade and bar very clean Ms.Annie was working very nice and sweet bartender my first time at this location excellent place to play a game and have a beer and relax thanks again Ms.Annie for making my day I will definitely be back at this location
I love it here!! I can't overstate how happy I am we've got a 1Up so close to home, games are great fun and I love the drink variety. Plan to try food soon!
It's a little expensive for pinball, but other games are priced appropriately. overall, it's a great atmosphere for a night out for sure.
Tons of machines. Had a great time!
Fantastic service with Bee, best I've had including the downtown Denver location! About out to Yahya at the door for the friendly and respectful atmosphere!
Awesome spot when it's open but they close early often whenever they feel like it. Walked in at midnight and was turned away saying they closed already even though they don't close until 1am. Uber?d there so had to wait for another uber to come around.
Awesome staff, Awesome people, Awesome games, and Awesome drinks and I love it here. Come here every week and have a blast.... Oh ps... THEY HAVE POPSICLES??????
Sweet new 1up spot! Good bar snacks and tasty cocktails. However, they could use one more bar to keep up with how busy they get.
Atmosphere was amazing, vibes were there, staff was a pleasure. Shoutout Bee for the great service at the bar!
Happy hour is great. I think they plan on being busier than they are because their limes are never fresh. They just prep to far ahead.
Way better then the colfax location haha clean, organized, the screens above the pinball machines were a pretty good touch.
Tons of retro games! Most retro games 25c. Pinball $1
They have the video game from the Wreck-It Ralph movie, omg for kids.
Wish this place was only for adults. The fact they ID you at the door I thought it would be only adults. I was truly disappointed to see a lot of kids upon entering. There's already so many of these places that are designed for families why not just have this for adults.
The staff is quick, attentive, and constantly cleaning up after patrons. Good location of 1Up compared to others around Denver Metro
Totally unsafe. Someone tried to get into my purse. Went to the management. Explained what happened they didn't care. I will never return.
Not a place for family fun. Went in for a good time with family and left as kayos was erupting and people fighting and throwing glasses. Not the environment we were expecting
The staff is incredibly friendly and the kids love all the games. Oh and the pickle shots are a bonus
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
