I used to come here a lot when they first opened but now after they've expanded and become more popular - a lot of the headphones and controller adapters are broken. It's a guaranteed fun time with nice staff and great prices. Just be prepared to switch computers a couple times if your coming in for a serious gaming session.
me and my boyfriend went here for a date, and the only reason i gave it a 4 is because of certain games not working; which we did fix with redownloading it again but just in case. however, they do have usb ports for you if you want to bring your controller and use that to play a game! my bf brought some and he had no problem. the prices seem pretty good too, considering it's $5 an hour (we went for 2). the headphones were pretty good quality and mostly soundproof, i just wish there's a way to soundproof so
i come here all the time and have a decent time for the most part. just truly wish a place that puts so much money into tech would at least have a somewhat okay bathroom? it's seriously hellish in there and the floor is broken. i had to use a passcode to get into it and gagged as soon as i opened the door. it seriously looks like no one has cleaned it in months let alone ever. besides the bathroom though the actual inside is nice. cool lighting and lots of pc?s to play at. there unfortunately isn't much th
I want there for my daughter 13th birthday once are first time there the staff was very nice I wish I got his name but he was very patience with me my daughter had a blast I will definitely will be back also that have little snack that you can munch on everything was affordable
Slightly outdated gpu's your going to experience lag if you are playing something like cod but it's nothing that will ruin the game. If you bring a controller bring a USB A cable that connects to your controller ( be aware not all USB A ports work on the PC's there. They look old and janky). Internet speed is not as fast as you would expect at an internet/gaming Cafe but it gets the job done. At my apartment on my laptop the newest god of war took about 50min to dl. Here it's a little under 2hrs could also
2 stars because the equipment there is as advertised. If you are here to play a non-competitive game and don't mind freezing every now and then from the WiFi and really bad internet lag, then tap sports might be suitable. Otherwise, internet is really bad for an Internet cafe, and most competitive games aren't even updated accordingly. Takes an hour to download Fortnite update on the computer. Had to tell front desk to contact manager to give me more than a 20 minute reimbursement, ridiculous.
Nice cool ambiance, other than it actually being underground it does have that underground feel to it. Prices are fair and you get a good deal of options on the pcs. You could easily spend hours there! Nice and convenient place if you're bored and want some entertainment, also has snacks and cup noodles. They play music there, but it's okay music I think it depends on the person working. Overall it's worth the visit!
Pretty cool spot but some pc have a either a connection issue or technically issue so you might have to switch over till you find one that works
Did not expect to find a place like this in Philly ChinaTown. Its such a cozy hidden underground location you can just go and stay for a couple of hours. Ambaince is dark, chill with good lofi music and snacks to keep you going gaming or just chilling. Gaming Pcs are mid end to high and are pre loaded with pretty much all the popular games with exelent internet/ping. Place is clean and quiet mostly. Went a couple of times when i visited philly after a long day of walking around the city. Its open almost 2
I go there frequently and I love the atmosphere, clean place and the staff are nice and polite.
TAP is a is a must-visit for any gaming enthusiast in Philly. Came in here to play OW with some buddies. The PCs were high-end with high-refresh-rate monitors. The staff was super friendly and you can tell the community is welcoming. The space is sleek and modern, creating a futuristic vibe that's both cool and inviting. Highly recommend!
I have been playing at this location since they first opened and everytime have had a great experience. The new expanded space made everything much more comfortable and shorter wait times when they get busy. Snacks and beverage selection is always pretty cool too. All in all great place with great hardware to play games with and a cool place to hangout with friends
Very clean and professional. One of the staff here is very kind and helped with our technological issues. Adding time was quick and easy. Definitely very affordable for some entertainment with friends
TAP Esports is a paradise for gamers. It has sleek design and top-notch technology with high-end gaming rigs for FPS, strategy games, and etc. The staff are friendly and passionate about gaming, always ready to help with setup and tips. Regular tournaments and events bring together a lively gaming community. Comfortable seating and refreshments ensure a great gaming experience. TAP Esports Center isn't just a gaming lounge?it's a vibrant celebration of gaming culture and friendship. If you're a gamer, this
Okay equipment. Computers run nicely but I had to move around quite a bit to find headphones that worked on both sides or worked at all. When I did finally find headphones with decent audio, it was very quiet despite turning the computer and game audio all the way up. Do NOT use the bathroom here, please god. Use the bathroom somewhere BEFORE going here. The bathroom is so incredibly disgusting, I felt like I needed a shower after.
up to 240hz monitors, good pricing, able to bring outside food, convention center fiber internet- please never change TAP eSports!! i was even able to download a niche game and setup my niche controller just fine, all while streaming to twitch. very impressed. made my stay in philly fly by 10/10
Out of towner came & front desk person was so rude & unhelpful. They did not fully explain the payment & account creation system creating confusion. Instead of physically coming telling us our payment was incorrect, they had our friend spam call our phone from the front desk. After (actually) paying, both myself and my boyfriend?s accounts weren't allowing us to log in. We went to the front desk to ask what was up. The front desk person shrugged their shoulders, said ?it's loaded for 2 hours I don't know?,
I love the place it the perfect place to play your favorite games and the price is fair. Playing with friends is a even better experience.
No AC, headset broken, mouse and keyboard very sticky
First time at a gaming cafe and the environment was so welcoming - staff were super helpful and it was so much busier than I expected but in a good way. You could really feel community while gaming which is such a great feeling and prices are super affordable. Equipment felt great, vibe even better. Perfect place for friends to play together away from their setups at home or would still totally feel welcome going alone.
Ok this has to be the best Esports center in the northeast section like this place has everything and for a low cost also 4/hour, $10 for 3 and $25 for a full day pass which is soo cheap seeing all the products you get to use snacks are very cheap and tournaments....! This is gamer haven right here pls check this place out also the customer service was really good!
Tap esports center is the greatest place to game in philly. The environment has a underground hideout vibe to it and it's like no other internet cafes Ive been to. There are tons of PC?s available, you can even bring your own food and play. I always play pub g there and it's the only place Ive gotten so many chicken dinners from.
Very disappointing experience. Place was cramped with not much room to move inside. The seats were some of the most uncomfortable I've sat in; why I don't trust knock-off gamer brand seats. At least the equipment provided was recognizable and of decent quality; as well as easily accessible USB port hub for other controllers. However, proprietary software is very restrictive as it only offers a select catalog of games and NO steam integration. Hope you like FPS games. Not gonna hold the place to this, but t
Super easy set up and the gaming rigs look solid. Really enjoyed getting only 35 ping (faster than my home connection). Will definitely come back whenever I come back to Philly and have some time to kill
My son is big on PC gaming so he loved it. I'm a cave man so I have to bring my own control but all in all it's an excellent experience. Definitely a great place for a father and son outing.
Great lan center. Visited during OWL Grand Finals 2019. Machines are solid. Venue is clean. Would definitely drop in again
decent place to play i guess. peripherals are not the best. OK keyboard, mouse. headset clamp is really bad. i'm not sure why the monitors are 27in @ 1080p -- should probably be 24in... also they have this flimsy launcher for games/programs which gave me a headache. i will say that the localhost in philly is much better than this place both with pc setups and vibe. they put a lot of focus on community events, also aren't exclusively PC-based, and the place feels a lot less underground in general.
Great place, great people, and amazing prices This is the gaming spot you dreamed off and didn't know existed!!!!
I am literally to old to be in a faming center, but let me tell you...I had so much fun!!! You need to have a home faming account, like Steam, but there are a lot of games to choose from, especially uf you already own them.!!!
Staff was super friendly and professional! They have a party room with a ping pong table which was a pleasant surprise. Would recommend!
As a devout gamer, I can say, without a doubt, that this is the place to go to hang out and get your game on. Prices are very affordable, at $4/hr and $10/3hr, and the staff is very easy to get along with. All the equipment is up to date and it all runs smoothly. Definitely a place I'd go to in my spare time with friends.
New place with a nice new setting. Broad selection of snacks and drinks to choose from. I would visit again to hang with friends. The staff are very friendly. If you have any questions just ask them. Great amount of PCs. The computers run great. The computers also have a large selection of already downloaded games, ready to play. You can login to your own paid account or get a guest account which I think is awesome. Equipment is great! Not sure if they have game consoles and VR like localhost, but the place
Honestly this is the best internet gaming Cafe that I've ever been to. They have quality Equipment, an amazing internet connection, and all of the games that you could want play. Their prices are pretty reasonable for what they give you, $10 for three hours of gaming is a steal compared to other activities you could be doing. They have Asian snacks like shrimp chips and pocky readily available, drinks are always cold and delicious, and a staff member is always super helpful if you ever encounter any issues.
Their staff stole $350 in cash. They just took it out of my purse. I left my bag in there and called them. When they gave my bag back to me, there was no money in there.
We are from out of town, and took a cousin night outing for my kids, niece, and nephew on a very rainy night in Philly. It is right in Chinatown on side street. Easy to find. Staff were personable and accommodating. Though my only visit - seemed to have a good gamer community vibe.
One of the best PC gaming cafe I been too, great customer service and competitive PC specs
This location is not only great for gaming but Amazing for top tier service. Management does an excellent job of accommodating you when you need it. Great Snacks you can purchase on-site and an energy you can't beat.
It's an excellent and fun experience, the equips their are soooo nice , i love this place!!
Went there with a group of friends for the first time and it was amazing. Me and my friends haven't met for a long time and this place gave us the opportunity to bond through the games that were offered. We had fun playing PUBG, Fortnite, and League together. It was also pretty cheap and I believe it's 4 dollars an hour for each person.
I actually have my own gaming PC myself, but I came here just to check it out and it was actually a very decent eSports cafe! I've never been to an eSports cafe until now but I definitely recommend this one, I will most definitely be coming back here some time soon. :)
Absolute palace, rates are very affordable and the staff is super chill. Will probably spend any free time here while in Philly
I recently discovered this eSports center on Saturday night with another friend. When we both got there, the staff there were really nice to us. One of which (Lee) who played League of Legends with us, and gave us some helpful tips on how we could improve our gaming experience, he even offered to help us the next time we come back. I highly recommend this center to anyone who are hardcore gamers, or even casual gamers. Thanks again Lee, for everything.
Beast PC's, Great friendly environment, Good prices ??11/10 would recommend
I lost my back pack but employee found and it returned it ?? also clean bathroom
My son had a blast,if you take your kids,I suggest you put their headphones on ,it's big grown college kids cursing being rude and obnoxious, otherwise place is low-key in Chinatown ,nice $5 an HR to play way affordable when you wanna keep your pre teens busy
Been here twice and had a lot of fun. The guy who worked there at the time, andrew, was cool. He let me charge my phone even tho they were closing. He should get a raise imo.
The prices are very reasonable and the hardware is good. There were only a couple open PCs when I went, which speaks to how popular the place is.
I give this place an A+. The staff go the extra mile to keep customers happy. The interior looks great and the equipment work well with fast computers, gaming headsets, keyboards, and chairs.
I love coming here with my girlfriend on our nights out in Philly! I love that if you don't use the all your time you can use it another day :) Employees are also super nice and helpful
A well set up facility with fair prices and on site things like snacks and drinks for your day there. If you want to come play with friends in person, or like me, your desktop is busted for a bit, it's great for your needs.
A nice place to rent a battle station away from home. Polite, amiable staff
Technology heaven meets gaming Valhalla! Your prime location for low ping loading and feeling out. Streaming booths and high speed internet coupled with a variety of machines that can run life itself on ultra. Tournaments prizes snacks and chairs that support your lower Lumbar! Check this place out and never leave !
Great rates, clean, and comfortable!
Prices were worth it and had fun there. The place looked great and the person at the counter was kind and they even gave me back my phone when I forgot about it a second when I told them about it.
This is my all time favorite place to go to and cut loose, Chillout and zone in my comfortable gaming mood when I'm not busy. I recommend this place to any hardcore or new gamers to experience this place for the first time. ??
Tap is a useful tool in the hands of the right Gamer. Some of the games i've played there included PUBG and Call of duty. You can also use it for basics like internet access and skype. The staff are accomdating and very polite. You can literally spend hours here just enjoying the gaming alone.
Great atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. It's a cool place to meet up with friends and hang out. Very affordable service and food.
I enjoy this place because its fun and as soon you open the door they welcome you like if its home. When I have free time, I always go to my favorite place, Tap Esports Center
love this place! Would like to see more frequent events, tournaments, hosted parties, etc.
One of the nicest gaming cafes I've been to. everything is very clean and well maintained, the equipment is up-to-date and prices are reasonable.
Worst waiting list system. People can call and have the computers locked for hours for free. When I arrived I have to stand there join a dumb waiting list and wait while lots of computers are not occupied but locked.
The mouse's are not the best but everything else and the people are amazing makes u feel very comfortable and the pc's are powerful super fun place to game
Awesome staff and awesome computers! Staff was friendly and helpful! Had all the fps i could want and awesome gear! will def go back!
It's great 4 dollars an hour amazing staff and impressively clean (Btw you can bring a spare mouse or keyboard if you don't like their equipment there)
This place is sick. I've been to many of these places in Korea but Tap is definitely up there. I like their set up and selection of games. Will be going every weekend!
Over 40 gaming computers $4 Per hour (8/4/2019) I really enjoy the atmosphere and the experience of it.
This place is so fun and relaxing and the workers are nice and generous I'm always there when I wanna play games and hangout with friends.
It was my first time going to a place like this and TAP was great. Customer service was great as well. I will definitely be going back.
Great place, but for an FPS player, I feel that there's limited mouse space and keyboard is too big
Good PC and gaming place, but keyboards and table not really tidy.
Super Comfortable Setup. Only one problem is they can't really Run COD on their Computers without it crashing :(
The best place in Philly, super cozy just like home. Fabulous staff and PCs!!
Trust me, you'll love it here. Great place to just hang out with friends or by yourself and kick back too enjoy u/urselves
This is literally cool ??. Dream to game in cafe . Be around people . Wish their was more interaction with others people around but it's good to have a cool environment to play and enjoy the game I love .
Many games, if you want to add mods to games like Minecraft you need to launch it then click something like the resource pack folder in the settings to add resource packs or mods.
It was nice, fun and super easy to sign up. You pay hourly, each hour being 4$!
The staff is fantastic and the equipment is good. The prices are also super reasonable.
Amazing place for gaming! By far my best gaming experience, super nice staff!
really cool employees and environment. computers are super fast and the setup is nice.
cool experience with my bois. Nice staff and cheap food and drinks.
I went there yesterday I am burningalpha They we're so nice and helpful I rate it a 5 star
Very dope spot, walked past the other day and found it accidentally late at night, cool guys running it too
This place is the best Esports center in the area you can go to. If you new there you have to go to front counter to make an account and every time use that account to login and play.
Quite a fun spot with lots of great eSports titles to play. Mostly PC's but some consoles. A lot of fun can be had here!
One again not disappointed. Great place for gamers! Hats off to Andrew!!
Just the place to go if you need a good pc and some personal playtime/space
Yo, this place is freaking awesome and the staffs are cool and respectful. Especially Andrew H and Tammy
It's very well kept as far as cleanliness. I enjoyed myself. ??
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
