Swing Time Sports Park

Swing Time Sports Park

Reviews Summary

Swing Time receives mixed reviews, with many praising its nostalgic mini-golf courses, friendly staff, and fun arcade/batting cage options. Positive reviews highlight cleanliness, affordability, and recent renovations under new ownership. However, criticisms focus on poor maintenance—stagnant water, overgrown greens, broken arcade games—and inconsistent hours or misleading closures. Some find the mini-golf courses boring or overpriced, while others enjoy the well-kept greens and varied layouts. Staff attitudes vary, with some described as attentive and others as disengaged. The arcade is noted as dated but decent for quick entertainment. Overall, it’s a divisive spot: loved by regulars for its charm but criticized for declining upkeep and occasional mismanagement.

Updated- I felt compelled to give a clean slate updated review learning that ownership has changed hands. Visited tonight and the place has been greatly renovated interior wise, tons of new games, new systems, and they have been refurbishing the courses & iconic waterfall. Give them time as they have been hard at work bringing back to life what once stood, you'd know yourself if you have been going here for as long as I have! Hours have also seem to been extended to begin to suit summer evening fun. Fairly

I took my two boys there tonight, my youngest turns 7 this weekend and so management made sure he had fun. They had a blast with the batting cages, gel ball target practicing, and miniature golf. We went a few weeks ago and played their indoor arcade games as well. Management is always friendly and makes sure you have a great time. We will definitely be back soon. It's an affordable family friendly place to spend your day or evening.

This could have been a nice enough course, it's simple but scenic enough that you can enjoy it in a nice outdoor setting. However, the grounds are not kept up with. There was poison oak throughout the course, Encroaching upon the green and surrounding walkway where you stand. I was there with three children, and I found myself constantly telling them to stay away from the weeds. Not particularly safe, considering your ball doesn't always stay where you want it to. I told the guy running the place and he jus

Very cool mini golf place! Great deal if you want to do both 18 hole courses back to back. The place was a tiny bit dirty with tree twigs and some dirt, but overall the green was really well kept and smooth. There's also batting cages which are cool, and inside there are a bunch of arcade games and a two hand roll bowling lanes. Worth a visit if you have an hour or two of leisure time!

Came here with my family. Had a great time. Workers explained greeted us with an eager smile, answered all out questions and maintained professionalism throughout the entire interaction. This place has a lot of cool new stuff too (gel blaster, ace throwing, new interior/black lights). I like this new change, 5 stars all around

Had such an amazing time here. From right when you walk in you have staff greeting you with an awesome friendly atmosphere. The place is really clean and kept together. There is so much fun stuff to do in just one central location. I definitely can't wait to visit here again real soon.

I had my son?s 10th Birthday here and it was amazing!!! The kids had the best time doing batting cages and gel blasters and arcade time!! The management was so helpful though out the whole process and Matt was amazing!!

Had an amazing afternoon playing mini golf! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!!

My friends brought me here for a fun Friday night mini golf game .. the landscaping and set up was was unique, cool waterfall and very relaxing environment. Definitely will be back with more family and friends soon !

It's so awesome that Swingtime is trying to rejuvenate the space with cool new games and features! My daughter and her best friend were so excited to try the new Gel Blasters and glow room! They can't wait to go back!

Edit: After this review, we received a refund. Stars added. A group of us went to play mini golf this Memorial Sunday evening. The website says the place closes at 10 pm. We each paid $14.00 (greatly increased from last year), split into two groups, and began playing at 7 pm. At 8 pm they told my husband's group they were closing and that everyone had to leave. They had only gotten to the thirteenth hole. No partial refund was given. We've come here almost every Memorial Weekend Sunday evening for over ten

Disappointed with the upkeep of the courses. The water features are not working, the leftover water is stagnant with mosquito leave, the shrubs and weeds are overgrown and the greens need cleaning. I hope this is a temporary glitch as this uses to be a nice course.

Great Pricing, Great Mini golf course, has a small arcade with prizes and the whole 9. Overall could be up kept a little better both inside and out but it's still a great time and a fun place

First off let me start off with when we arrived there were 4 teens at the desk who didnt even acknowledge us. We picked out our putters and waited to pay when they, I kid you not, said "Oh I thought you guys paid already". The whole establishment in itself is poorly maintained. The interior was dirty, tables were sticky and the bathroom looked as if no one has cleaned them in over a month. The golf course was an absolute mess. There was dirt and debris all over the green making it absolutely unenjoyable to

Not as nice as it used to be, mini golf is kind of falling apart, but the greens are still pretty nice and the holes are pretty simple, not a lot of features.

This place needs work. The batting cages are out of service; the water features for the golf course are broken, resulting in stagnant water; the course is overgrown with weeds and dirt, and the interior could use some organization and cleaning. They said they're working on the water feature pumps, but so much else needs work, making it very hard to justify the 14 dollars per person. I'm all for supporting local businesses and will gladly rerate this business once they improve, but until then, set your exp

Had a blast at swing time tonight! We hit the batting cages, played both courses of mini golf, and then cooled down inside at the arcade! It was a lot of fun and felt like a kid again! Dave (one of the workers) was very attentive when we needed assistance and was super nice! 100% coming again!

This was so much fun. The kids had a great time and there are so many different forms of entertainment. we especially enjoyed rhe 2 beautiful mini-golf corses.

Batting cages were incredible, both mini golf courses were a blast, and the arcade was well air conditioned after all that fun in the heat. Dave made sure the batting cages were running smoothly the entire time me and my group were out at the cages, that guy is a saint.

I don't typically take the time to make a review, but hopefully this saves the next family some money and time that could be spent elsewhere. This was the most god awful mini golf experience I've ever been to. I should have known as soon as I drove up that the water feature wasn't on, and only saw one couple on the course. The sign on the front door said, last mini golf at 7pm and store closes at 8pm, but when we came in the employee said they closed at 10pm and it was our ?lucky day?. We ended up buying

A Home Run of a Time at Swing Time! Rating: 5/5 stars Swing Time is a hidden gem that exceeded my expectations in every way! This incredible destination offers an unbeatable combination of fun, affordability, and top-notch service. From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel welcome. The prices were incredibly reasonable, making it an ideal spot for families, groups, or even a solo visit. The facilities are amazing, featuring: - Batting cages for both k

I recently had an event at SwingTime. Both the staff and facility were nothing but amazing. The staff is so nice and helpful throughout the evening. All the children had an amazing time playing mini golf and playing video games in the new arcade area. I plan to be at SwingTime this summer enjoining Mini Golf. It's the perfect spot to host any event such as a birthday party or any celebration!!_

We arrived very excited to play the mini golf however with that said we had an active free game from the GetOutPass that we bought a few months ago. We used the pass at multiple businesses and never had an issue. The employees at the front desk of Swingtime were polite and called the manager to see if they accepted it. The manager said they only accepted Groupon since they changed ownership last month. The manager/owner should have either removed the free game from the pass when they changed ownership or h

My son just had his birthday party and we loved it! We did the arcade because of the rain. There is a great selection and variety of games. The arcade was clean and the games worked. The staff was great to work with and overall it was just an easy and inexpensive way to have a party. I would recommend having a party here to other parents.

We went there this past Friday with our granddaughter and we were shocked at the disgraceful way the course looked. The water was not working, there were empty soda bottles where the water used to flow, the landscaping was all dead and the railings going up the stairs were shakey and full of splinters. It looked like it hadn't been taken care of in over a year. It was a horrible experience and we certainly will not go back. We paid $14 each which is a total rip off. We used to go there every summer bu

place is open until 10pm i got here around 7:30 it was dark out and they had no lights on the course what so ever, i had to have my phone flashlight out to see the course not only that but it is not well maintained at all leaves and sticks everywhere makes it very hard to play the game. 14$ a person is crazy for how trashy it was. don't go here find a different place it's a waste of money and time

Swingtime is a great place to go for a fun-filled day with friends or family. They have a variety of activities to choose from, including mini golf, batting cages, arcade games, raceway remote control cars and gel blasters. The mini golf course is challenging but not too difficult, and it's a lot of fun to try to beat your friends' scores. The batting cages are a great way to work off some energy, and they have a variety of different speeds and pitches to choose from. The arcade games are a classic way to

We have gone a few times for the batting cages. Each visit I approached the employees (teens) behind the front desk and each time I had the same experience. My takeaway is that they could definitely try harder to be more personable and welcoming. However, that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the condition of the place. The token machines were ?out of order? the last few visits, which I had spaced apart. The outdoor vending machines were also not working, and after I had purchased my tokens for the batti

We go every year in may for my daughter's birthday and it's beautiful and the water and falls are running. We went today and everything is broken down there's leaves and sludge in the ponds and no water is running however they have the nerve to increase the prices and it was $14 per personinstead of $10.

Came in today and met a super nice boy name Mathew running the place by himself, he did a great job helping me set up for the super fun gel blasters! Place is a blast and the boy made our day better with great service and help when needed! Definitely recommend going here!

This place is so nice and friendly clean and very fam oriented! We had such a great time!!

We brought our camp to Swingtime and had a blast. The customer service was top-notch. The venue was more than accommodating and was perfect for what we needed. Will be back.

Wow. $54 for two adults and two children to play 18 holes of mold and dirt covered K-Mart deck turf. Graffiti everywhere, garbage cans floating in the pond?just down right awful. I didn't even bother complaining to the 12 year-old air head behind the counter..10:1 odds says the Lakewood cowboys bought it and are intentionally running it into the ground.

Went there today with siblings and had a great day, the arcades are well priced and the overall situation is very upbeat. Great day trip idea!

luke and sam are extremely helpful and the arcades are just out of this world and amazing date night spot!! highly recommended!!!#livelaughloveswingtime

The staff at Swingtime is the best!!! We went as a family to enjoy the Mini-golf and Arcades. At the mini golf, the attendant gave us an extra club & ball for my youngest, so he could "compete" against his older brothers. After we spent time at the arcades, we went to redeem the tickets for prizes. Although we were faced with the tough decision about which children would be able to get prizes, The guy behind the counter made it so much easier - by making sure that everyone went home with something. Great fa

Mini golf course is boring and worn. Staff is on their phones. Main entrance doors dirty. Price was too high for such a lacking effort.

Great place. Clean. Fun. Great management.

This place is awesome! They have new batting machines in the cages and the mini golf was fun. Would definitely recommend

Affordable and fun. The batting cages are my favorite pass time. Miniature golf is fun and reasonably priced. The arcade area has something for all ages. Be aware. the arcade is extremely loud, not sensory-friendly. There is a private party room available. The owner and staff are professional and courteous.

Still an awesome night out for some mini golf. I've been going to this place since I was a kid, and it's still the same. Very nostalgic. The area is clean, and the look and feel are the same almost 20 years later. The courses are laid out pretty well and definitely are a good way to kill a few hours. Staff is friendly and helpful too. Plenty of parking, and a great spot off route 9 south for both kids and adults (like me :D).

$12 a head for 18 holes of mini-golf, and it was pretty meh. Was assuming there'd be some clever obstacles like windmills and stuff, but it was basically just some small hills and rocks. And an angry bird near the 12th hole who tried to attack us, but that seemed more like a bug than a feature. Waterfall was cool, but that was about it. Can't speak to the arcade or batting cages or anything, didn't try any of that. Wouldn't say it was absolutely awful or anything, but I wouldn't go back & don't quite unders

Used batting cages. Lots of games and miniature golf. All clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Mini golf, batting cages, and arcade. Decent place for family night out. The staff is very kind,, and in all the times we've been there,, there's never been a bad element. The mini golf course hasn't been upgraded in a while and is getting a bit old, but still does the trick.

Been going for years with my grandson (batting cages and arcade). This year the place has gone down the tubes. Only 1 batting cage operational. Many arcade attractions not working. Total 180 from past experiences. Understand there are new owners. Place is managed by teenagers, polite but totally useless and disinterested. Sad.

This place used to be so nice, and it really has gone downhill. The water features don't work, fences are all broken, the amount of mosquitos that were around because of the stagnant water was insane. It's really a shame

My grandchildren had a great time here. I enjoyed the games as well. The food was really good and it is very clean. The staff was delightful.

Swingtime has been a go to place for 3 generations. My father and I used to go together, I've brought my kids and now I bring my nephew. We attended on a Saturday night around 8pm to use the softball batting cages. First place we stopped was at the counter where we asked for a $10 bill to be broken into two $5?s for the batting cages & while holding 2 bats. To my surprise and disappointment, both softball cages were locked. When asked about it, we were told, it was jamming. That's understandable but I do be

We had a great time at Swingtime! The batting cages are amazing and the staff were very accommodating.

I went to the spatting cage this morning after verifying that they're batting cage was open and operating for an 8-year-old. I get there the machine is broken it with locked so obviously they knew it was not working but yet the employee young man told me to come in. He called management who said that they'll be in this afternoon as if I was going to wait. Ended up going to a place in farmingdale totally awesome experience in farmingdale and I won't return to this place again. The only reason I have to give

We brought our nephew and his family, who are visiting from Florida, and we were shocked at how rundown and dirty everything was. It was a total dump inside and out. Wished we had chosen a different place. It was a very negative experience.

Great place for an outdoor mini golf, batting cages( due to covid must bring your own equipment) and some arcades to add to the fun. It's not a place with a hundred different arcades but it's a great place to hang out with friends and family. There are a couple of arcades for all age groups from claw machines to racing , air hockey and mini bowling and some kids arcades. Staff are helpful

Fun golf course with two different choices for 18 holes. Staff is friendly and efficient. Everything seems to be kept clean, and clear explanation of rules at all entrances due to Covid-19. Prices are reasonable, and it's good for all ages. Holes are challenging enoughfor older players, but not too hard for younger players. Went with a 5, 14, and 15 year old.

From the highway this looks like a nice family fun center. Once inside it is not a nice picture. Dirty, the grounds are not kept well, and the bushes & trees look as if it they not been trimmed in a long time.. No need to worry about any grass being cut, as there is none. We were very disappointed with the entire facility. Took 3 of our grandchildren and we will not be returning.

Amazing place!!!! We really enjoyed! Highly recommend for family fun

Cute golf course went with my youngest daughter just a fun place not overly priced not as pristine as some others but certainly good time if looking to enjoy the weather and go out with the family or kids.

It's a cozy spot. They have a bit of an arcade kinda place inside but we never go there for that. We just enjoy the mini golfing which is just relaxing and fun to enjoy with others. There's also a batting cage which again we don't care for much but nice to have nearby for those that do care for it. All in all a pleasant place to hang out.

Very much enjoyed. Excellent for children of all ages. Had a fantastic time. Would have been nice to have the concession stand open for the consumers. Like the idea of baseball hitting that's great also for all ages. Thank you for such a great time.

Took my granddaughters and we had a wonderful time. The mini golf is awesome and beautiful . Prices are good and guess what I didn't get any tokens for saying this!

Swingtime was great!! We had our sons 10th birthday party there, and the staff made it a great time for everyone!! We had a sweet girl who helped throughoutthe party, and the guys at the front desk were great also!! They even cleaned up after the party, which really helped!! Definitely great for all ages!

Great service... Fun for kids and adults. There's 18 levels of the mini golf, very nice water fall it's outdoor. Indoor there's nice games for children If you're looking for a nice time with your family or friends highly recommend!!

Had a great time! Brody and Sam were super nice and friendly!

The mini golf is great, the batting cage are cool, the arcade is a bit dated but it is mostly 1 or 2 tokens just the bigger games are 4 tokens. 1 token =.25cents I think they can fit in more games if they take out 1 air hockey table and the big connect 4 machine.

Nice to have a mini golf and arcade place in Howell, but after so long, the place is run down and is in some serious need of a makeover. All the games in the arcade don't work very well. It was very disappointing and the mini golf courses need some improvements. Everything needs to be updated.

Great place to bring your kids. Tons of arcade options.

Did the mini golf there today I enjoyed. Really wanted to do the batting cages, but you must bring your own bat and I didn't known beforehand if you're looking for mini golf this is definitely the place. They have an arcade room as well.

If I can give this place a 0 I would

Fun mini golf course for the family or a date night. There are 2 courses, both about the same level of difficulty. The falls trail goes up and above the water fall. The raccoon trail takes you underneath it. Both are pretty cool. All in all, a fairly cheap entertaining night out!

Matt and Zack were unreal really nice and patient with all of us. We had 6 guys and they were really a pleasure to be around

Good for miniature golf or the batting cage, but I visited for a child's party and spent most of my time in the Swingtime "clubhouse", which houses a small arcade and snack bar. The arcade has no video games, it's mostly games of chance with a few skeeball and basketball games. I can't comment on the snack bar as the party had pizza delivered. Good for a round of golf or batting practice, but there are better places for a kid's party.

18 holes or 36 holes. For 36 holes it was 23 dollars for me and a date. The staff was quick and the course was not over saturated with people so if you did need to wait for a hole it wasn't long. The course was clean and varied. Absolutely worth the money.

I went for the arcades and a chunk were broken and from the ones that worked , half ate up and stole my coins ( so they should?ve been labeled broken) and the rest were lousy and didn't link 2 people to the game and basketballs were out of air. This place has potential but it's neglected. It's okay for 15 minutes but not more.

7 of us played a round of mini golf and had a blast! Inside they had game machines which a lot of kids played. Not a place for wheel chair bound people. Decently priced and seniors discount.

Super fun arcade. The mini golf was really fun.

Came for mini golf and batting cages had a great time

Sign on door says they close at 10 on Sundays. Google Maps says they close at 11. Get there at 7:15, employee says they close at 8 and don't allow anyone to start an hour before close. Wasted 30 minutes driving here for nothing.

It was a nice golf course, but could use to be updated. The first gentleman (older) we talked to and paid was very nice. When we came to return the golf clubs the younger guy was a jerk for ko reason. Because of him alone I will not be returning, and I LOVE minigolfing.

The course is nicely kept and there are some seating at most holes to relax. Pretty shady so you can hide from the sun on a hot day. Plenty of games inside the building for everyone to play.

The golf clubs seem to never have been cleaned in their lifetime. My kids got sick after a single visit here. Convenient location, but not worth the trip in my opinion.

Great mini golf with friendly staff. Two courses that are clean and in great condition. A fun family time to take your kids to!

Came to Swing time today on my birthday with family and was disappointed on how the grounds were not kept. It looked very unsafe!!

It's always busy but seems most people are happy.. the two mini golf courses are not in bad shape. The staff are friendly. And it's not too expensive.

very nice place! so much fun

It is fun for mini golf, including that is has two different courses, but the arcade is also a lot of fun, but they have been getting rid of some of the machines that used to be there.

I remember coming here as a kid to play mini golf its really fun. The batting cages are fun but can use a little work and the arcade could be updated.

Usually love this place, but for whatever reason we're here at 2pm, because the schools have half days, and the place is closed. Website and Google need to update their hours.

Decent mini golf course. Two different courses. Large water fall is pretty much the only decor. Also has a batting cage and an arcade.

If I could give this place a ZERO I would ? I used to bring family & visitors here on occasion, but would never bring anyone here again ? people need to he honest and not ?pad? the rating to get free tokens, the landscaping is overgrown, weeds are as big as bushes, the greens are filthy, the bathrooms stink, and the tables are sticky.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
