Most reviews praise Swamp Fox Lanes for its friendly, family-owned atmosphere, helpful staff, and good value, with many highlighting recent renovations and affordable deals. High ratings dominate, citing clean lanes, fun events, and tasty food. However, a few criticize inconsistent service, overcrowding during peak times, and occasional maintenance issues. Do not use your personal bowling balls here. Used two brand new bowling balls for the first time here on 6/1. One ball came back in the return with a deep gouge. Brought it to the front desks attention. They took down information and notes to NOT PUT BLACK ON THE BALL. Was told to continue bowling. 2nd ball came back with two deep gouges in it. Took the 2nd ball to the front desks attention and told them we are not finishing on this lane because obviously the equipment is faulty. Also told them that black c

Let me just say, if you're looking for a fancy bowling alley, this is not it. It's definitely the homey-been-around-for-years type of establishment. With that being said, if you're looking for a place for a family outing that's low cost and not overly crowded, perfect place. We went on Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded. There was a family in the lane to the right of us but no one on our left, which was great. We got bumpers and the dinosaur on one lane for the kids and a regular lane for the adults. Wa

Can't ever bowl, every single time I go in to the establishment it is always a league night. So if you are going here just to have a fun time with friends or family, think again.

I rolled at Swamp Fox for the first time last Friday. Brand new lanes were great . The House is very much like a small family atmosphere. The House really appreciates the Ballers and the achievements of their games posted above each lane is that Lanes high score by that individual. I took a picture of my team mate Tyler Hill , so you can see the brand new lanes and the scores posted above each lane. Also Swamp Fox went all out on the Halloween decorations !!!! I will post our final scores picture to. Also

Love the specials they run on days and nights they have open availability. We went for my birthday and ladies night recently and enjoyed ourselves.

Had a great time. Hadn't bowled in years.. The staff was super cool.

Nice, clean place. The lady running the counter was super helpful and kind.

If you're looking for a good time, stop by here. And for the best time, stop by the onsite Dreamers Restaurant for some good food and comedy shows every other Monday night at 7:30pm!!!

Always have a good time here! Just got my new ball last week and Jim hooked me up right! He is excellent at what he does and made everything an all around great experience.

We just moved here from the north and I couldn't believe that it was only a few dollars per game for bowling. Swamp Fox lanes is reasonably priced. The people are friendly. You can take your kids altogether. It was a great experience.! I will definitely be returning.

Our league is in our 3rd year at Swamp Fox and I'm grateful for the atmosphere provided by the management and staff. Most members begin with ordering breakfast. I often practice here and always get the same level of service.

Went to bowl rang out and was made to get In line 3 time due to incompetent employees 16 yo African American teen doesn't know what's going on when ringing up customers and try?s to get back at customer by making them wait longer. Was having a blast until running into her. Also sold my lane as payback due to me saying something about her not charging us out the correct way. Hopefully the owner takes charge on this so our family can enjoy our weekend spot again

We really enjoy bowling here. It's not the fanciest place, but you can tell they're constantly working on upgrades. Every staff member I've come across has been very nice and helpful. There are occasional issues with the ball return or pin setups, but they're always quick and happy to help you fix the problem. The prices and daily specials are great. My only problem, and reason for only 3 stars... The bathrooms. It seems like they aren't cleaned regularly. A few of the stall doors don't have locks. It's ov

Absolutely my favorite place to take my family for a great time bowling. Swamp Fox Lanes is a family owned and operated bowling alley. Full service pro shop, good food, nice arcade games, pool tables, separate bar area, and a great atmosphere. They even have a comedy night with a various professional comedians. If your a burger person the I highly recommend you try the Iron Man Burger, delicious!

The last 3 times I ordered wings, & these were at least 2mths apart, the wings had feathers on them. The wings were good and feather free in the past. I dont know if they have new people or lazy people in the kitchen, but please clean the chicken. They have the best wings in Moncks Corner, but since it seems like they haven't been cleaning the chicken, I gave 2 stars.

I've been to this place multiple times and have never been impressed, i decided to try it again tonight because my friend invited me out for some bowling, i (22 years of age) went to the bar and asked for a bud light and a shot i immediately had my id ready since for one i am young and for two am myself a bartender and know how the game goes, the bartender, jasmine, took my id behind the bar as if it was fake and asked for second form of id which i then informed her it is illegal to Carry two separate form

We had not been to Swamp Fox Lanes in a few years and were surprised with the upgrades made. The staff was friendly and patient with our large group and helped make our games more enjoyable and memorable.

This place BY FAR is the best bowling alley around!!! The owner, his son, and the rest of the staff are all extremely nice and helpful! When it's super busy, and bowling league's are there, you may wait a little bit for your food but where do you not wait when busy, duhhhh no where! I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out if you haven't already!

Having a great time and feel very welcomed here. Brandon the bartender is great and very attentive. Would definitely recommend and suggest more people come in and see him and toss a couple balls down the lane while enjoying a cold adult beverage served to you by Brandon.. as long as Brandon is still here I will definitely be back and recommend others to come as well

A great place for friends and family Good location in Moncks Corner SC

Love this place. Great atmosphere. Great owners. Staff are very professional and friendly. The new remodel of the lanes is awesome. I have gone the last 2 weekends and bowled some of my highest games. This is just a fun place to go if you are looking for an inexpensive way to get out of the house for a few hours. I highly recommend you check them out! The have some of the best deals around and their food is excellent!!

I recently bowled here for the first time and found the newly placed wood to be very good. I bowled my best score in the first game too! I like the lower ceiling and the lane computer was easy to use and even plays a great short instructional video on how to knock down any remaining pins on your second throw. The staff was very friendly and had answers for any questions you might have. The few bowling customers I met were friendly too. I will be coming back here even though I'm in a senior league in Goose C

We all had fun and it was $1/game. Sweet deal.

I Eat a late lunch and had a hamburger with cheese and grilled onions. Katie did a great job making the Hamburger. Great presentation and friendly service. She made my day. Just had shots in my knees. I hears the Philly Steak is good as well. I'm trying that next. Thanks.

We scheduled our son's birthday party at Swamp Fox Lanes. We could not have asked for a better experience. The entire team was very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend. A+++++

First time there. Staff was accommodating and friendly. I went there on a Sunday and it was busy. Place is clean. They are doing some remodeling.

We bowl almost every Sunday. It is a great place to spend family time. They have a family fun pack. Kitchen and bar available. Highly recommend.

Went two days in a row because the grandsons and their family loved it so much! Plenty of deals. Fun, fun, fun. A kidsbowlfree bowling lane. Just watch out for the rise from the Lanes to the spacious eating area.

The entire experience was amazing! The family who owns the business reminds me of home. Friendly, welcoming, attentive, helpful and just good people. We have been several times in the last few weeks, and purchased a couple of bowling balls on today's visit. Mr Jim and JimIII were nothing short of fantastic. My son and I would highly recommend. Professional, knowledgeable, and very fairly priced. We even got a free game to try out our new balls! Old Fashioned business with family values.

Walked into the restaurant for dinner last week. 3 people sitting at the bar, bartender/waitress never acknowledged us. We sat at our table for 5 minutes and she never so much as looked in our direction- too involved in her conversations at the bar. Got up to walk out she then made eye contact with us but still says nothing, I said to her ?Do you work here?? Her reply ?yeah?. This place would be great if the staff in the restaurant were half as good as CFA employees.

Hosted couples night here and had a great time until it was time to leave. Apparently someone placed a beer bottle under the front tire of my, "BRAND NEW" less than 3K miles, car tire! Guess that's the down side of hanging around a young crowd, uggghhhh. Other than that...... The place was GREAT!!!

The Strode Family (and I do mean Family- you may find 3 generations working there at any given time), have invested tons of time and money updating their center, and it shows! League play is really up, and so is open bowling - to say nothing of their monthly comedy nights. If you're looking for some family fun, try Swamp Fox??

We always have a good time. Food at Dreamers is really good and Swamp Fox has good deals to enjoy family time on a budget! Only thing is I wish they would update and fix a few things inside but it's nothing that will keep us away!

Older alley currently under renovation. Arrived after 9PM for Cosmic bowling on a Saturday night which is listed on their website for $14 per person from 9PM-1AM. When it was time to leave we were charged by game. The desk worker said the system ?usually? changes the price on its own but since it didn't we were overcharged by about $15-$20. Paid almost $50 for two people instead of about $30. Ok place to go if you don't want to drive to Goose Creek, but you may pay too much.

Awesome bowling alley. Food is good and drinks are affordable. I was ordering Double shots of titos the whole time $11??????. My kind of place

Shady people hanging outside the establishment. Staff is very slow. I walked into the bar and it looked old, but sat down anyway. It smelled like homeless people lived in there. Let's just say I downed my drink really fast and left. It's not one of the top spots to hang out in Moncks Corner. Go to Applebee?s instead.

Was nice, went there for a kids party. I was at the bar, as my daughter had her child with the kids bowling they loved it... ?????????????????? Nice place to do a kids party.. ?????? Very nice Lady server, I sipped & we all chatted laughed. I will go back.. ??

The staff was awesome.. The food lackluster... The jukebox had a good mixture of music.. I really had fun bowling all night.. The only real downside was the abundance of country music being played... I like more of an urban or pop girl

such a lovely establishment, friendly employees ready to help you and they have bowling specials where you get lunch a drink(free refills) and two bowling games for 10 dollars. the cost includes rental of two pairs of bowling shoes. it starts at 11 I believe. its a great deal and they have an arcade for kids and a bar in house but seperated from the lanes. it's a great place to make memories. definitely a family establishment.

Bowling is great, atmosphere great, and the bartender was very nice and very fair. Plan on making the Saturday 9-1 all you can bowl for 14$ a normal thing for our group!

This bowling alley has a good aura. The folks that work there are really friendly. It also features a pool table, arcade area, and a bar. There's something for everyone!

Coming here was a last minute thing walking in seemed cool but the waitress here was awful she messed up two orders and then tried to argue with us about it.... she was real nasty actually if it wasn't for the cook I'm not sure his name but he was friendly and very very awesome he made sure we got the stuff that the waitress claim she didn't hear.... overall the place was great but they could use another waitress

Always a good time here. My son is now in a league here and loves it. Food is great! Thanks

It's ok but food prices to high, smells like cigarette smoke, the heavy set girl in bar doesn't know how to makes drinks, *which also is to expensive* the skinny girl who was cooking needs to wear a hair net and actually stay in kitchen when she is cooking. Very un sanitary. It just needs a total upgrade.

I was refused service because me and my friends and sister and husband was haiving a good time the food was burnt and the disrespectful from the bartender was unpleasant. Will never go back bathroom was disgusting.

This place is garbage. The second we went in me and my buddy were verbally attacked by the owner for him having a cup of water from chic-fil-a and we got kicked out when we called him out on it. Never come here!

A great place for family entertainment. We went with a large group and had a blast. My only complaint is they had sold out of chicken wings, they have the best in town.

Very friendly people. Always helpful. Even run specials during the week. Love coming here

I can honestly say that this is the worst bowling alley I have ever been to. Lanes are broken, chipped, and warped. Machines take chips out of personal balls every time. Staff was awful, cooks were incompetent and slow. 45 minute wait for fries, but there is nobody here. I would not come back here if it were free. Bowling is cheaper in Goose Creek with way better lanes and service.

I worked with the owners grandson and he recommended this place. We bowled all day! Had a blast! ??

It's an okay bowling alley. We tried to order pizza once but they were out of pepperoni, weird! But what I will brag about is their Monday deal for bowling! My husband and I have our own shoes, by the way. But on Mondays you can bowl for $1! So we can each bowl 4 games for $8! Can't beat that.

Just watched my first live comedy show in your Dreamerz restaurant!!! It was a great show and an awesome time!!! Can't wait to see the next show!!!

Great family time, kids had a blast! Food service was slow, so plan on waiting, but otherwise it was fun for everyone.

Solid 4 stars. Pizza was decent but not as good as other bowling alley so I've been to. Many of the lanes seem to be pretty well worn, but I'm terrible on good Lanes or bad anyway. Decent atmosphere. Place was good but not amazing.

Enjoyed tonight. Celebrated My grandsons 18th with family and friends. Thanks for the 2go boxes and letting us borrow the knife to cut the cake. They enjoyed the Bowling .

Love this place! The people, the atmosphere, the owners! All are so kind and welcoming! They are my other family!

Great staff, great food, everyone's nice, very safe environment! Visit for yourself.

Staff was awesome! I liked the bumpers went up and down based on who's bowling. Great time! Pro shop was great as well. Competitive pricing and great service!

This place is racist and discriminates against African Americans. First and last time. Do not support racists businesses who will call the police on you and cause a scene because you are black. I repeat do not support this business! A law suit should be drawn on this establishment and it should be out of business. Idc if its the only bowling alley in town. Such hateful cruel and evil people.

Staff were very friendly. Didn't quite care for the way that the lanes were set up. But all in all a decent place to bowl.

Bowling is cheaper than most places and the food is great. Great place to spend some family time or birthdays. The leagues are awesome, great place to learn how to bowl even if I can't hook the ball.

Always super busy, ladies free night Thursdays are super fun. I enjoyed this atmosphere.

We had lots of fun especially the kids. It was a Birthday Party for my GREATGRAND SON RYLAN MILLS. Thanks to Swamp Fox Lanes everything worked out great.

Genuine atmosphere, quality equipment, friendly staff.

Our family and friends went here one night and had a great time. The food is good too.

Great place! Wonderful family run business.

Teenagers the run the place at peak times and it can get out of control. I have my had ball used without permission as they over crowd and and sell lanes. They allow street shoes on the brand new lanes and allow complete disrespect of fellow bowlers. I won't even bowl on weekends anymore.

Very friendly owners

The midnight bowling is a lot of fun! Price is right and perfect for a group of friends. The bar is slow and a missed opportunity for making revenue, same thing with the kitchen.

Dreamers Bar/Restaurant was AWESOME!!! We went for Keith Dee's comedy night!!! We will b back in 2 weeks!!!!

My new favorite chill spot. Love the way the bar area has been done. Wings are amazing

I took my great grandkids bowling. They had a good time. Picked up a few snacks and they were good. Would recommend it

Good game of bowling. Reasonable pricing. The lanes were recently updated. Not crowded at all. Weekly specials for lower pricing and specialty bowling nights.

Nice lanes at a good price. Not too crowded and was able to get on a line immediately at 7:30 pm on a Friday night.

The food is good and your kids can play 2 free games for the whole summer if you signed up for it

Sandwiches were good, friendly service. Could use better lighting and remodel in bathroom area

Nice alley with a good amounting lanes. Good prices. The food was better than expected.

Great time both regular visits and birthday party. Love going to play.

My home bowling alley. The guys are making moves to make it better. Wait for food is usually a little long but certainly worth the wait!

Saw a comedy show in the lounge area only. Lounge area needs alot of improvements, abit rundown.

Great bar and excellent bartender, we all had a blast bowling and had an amazing time with yummy food and great friends!10/10

Decent wings. Pricey. Not the most pleasant atmosphere even in the cafe.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful here. It's a great place to bring the family.

Great condition clean fun for kids food is a little expensive but good :) had a great time:)

The place is very nasty needs a good cleaning. They have 24 lanes to bowl so u can almost always count on having one available if it stays working.

Good food, lots of fun, friendly staff, and great service.

Enjoyed our time here bowling with friends, had pizza and chicken wings that was good. I would come again. ;D

One of my favorite places in the world! Visit soon ????

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
