Reviews Summary

The reviews present a mixed consensus. Many customers praise the fun atmosphere, variety of activities, and excellent service from specific staff, particularly for kids' parties and entertainment. However, significant complaints highlight poor management, unresponsive service, long wait times for food/drinks, broken equipment, and safety concerns in play areas. Pricing is frequently criticized as overpriced for the inconsistent experience. While some visitors had great experiences, others encountered disorganization, rude staff, and unmet expectations, leading to frustration. Positive reviews often depend on attentive service, while negative ones cite systemic issues.

Customer Reviews

We had a wonderful time for our daughter?s 7th birthday. The atmosphere was great for all ages. The wings are great. Prices for play are good also. Riley was a great employee who made us feel comfortable. She was very professional and her customer service was excellent. We spoke for several moments and she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Riley.

We had the VIP bowling alley, set up our Buffet table and had a blast. Food was good, especially for a place that doesn't focus on restaurant food quality or experience. A must if you're looking for Trampoline, arcade , golf, etc . Recommend

I was definitely disappointed in this place. Half of the arcade games didn't work. We originally went to bowl and it was 8 of us. The balls don't roll great, they have dents in them and are in pretty bad shape. It reminded me of the Flinstones because the pins were attached to strings and it honestly sucked big time. We paid over $100 just to bowl for an hr. Wasn't worth the money. Even the drinks were pricy. Definitely not going back there.

Okay so today our camp took a field trip to Surge? we missed confirmation emails but they worked with us, made the event happen and the kids had a blast which is all that matters. I applaud Ms. Lauren because as soon as she walked through the door she had to deal with our party and issues. Most people would be annoyed, and allow that frustration to show through their actions. Lauren was professional, and kind the whole time. Another lady clocked on and immediately came ask how she can help. The guy who clea

A large group of kids went under the rock wall and entered the mechanical area behind the rock wall. There was no netting or other physical barriers to stop kids from entering this area. Once here, the kids climbed to the ceiling on the scafolding supporting the wall. There are electrical lines and other hazards. Once in this area, some kids couldn't get back into the foam pit and they went around behind the other exhibits and eventually found a door that took them out of the building to a drainage area b

We had my daughter?s 10 birthday party there this weekend. The site over promised on what our actually experience was. They had one host working at least 10 parties at once trying to do her best. I had to constantly find her as our guest arrived losing jump time. Our table had 8 chairs and I prepaid for a party of 12. The pizza came out from someone in the kitchen so we had to go find plates at the desk and refill our own drink pitchers. When it was time to eat some of our guest sat on the floor to eat pizz

My kids and I had a ball it was fun. I just wish it wasn't so expensive for everything. We didn't eat there because of the prices. It was our first time here and didn't really know where to go so we added the guy at the bar and he seemed irritated and not social or helpful.

Pretty decent place to entertain kids for an afternoon, birthday party, etc. A few things definitely could use some improvement. 1st: the employees are generally friendly, but seem very undertrained. There's a lot of ?let me get someone?, ? I'm not sure how to do that?. 2nd, they highly advertise they are a cashless business, but won't accept wireless payments like Apple Pay. Pick a lane, Drew. The Girl Scouts selling cooki s in my neighborhood are more high-tech than your venue??. 3rd, the mixed drinks at

We came on a weekday when they opened at 11. Staff was friendly and service was good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the kids had a blast in the jump zone. They had a special where they could have unlimited jump for about $30 for 2 kids including socks which I thought was a great value. We stayed for 2 hours. Big complaints unfortunately though in other areas. We got a $100 arcade card. My 2 boys went through that in under 20 minutes. It is what it is and you should know what you're getting into but the ar

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the kids did have fun. The customer service is horrible. We waited at the party desk for over 15 mins. Just waiting on someone to help us. 6 employees walked pass us like we wasn't there none of them tried helping us. Finally a worker seen us holding cakes n gifts n went call someone to help us. Then we were suppose to have a host for the birthday party. Nope that didn't happen. I had to find a work to help me then I did my drinks n stuff myself. All the money

Surge should offer keyed storage for shoes, wallets, purses or any other valuables since I went there on Thursday 6/19/25 for my grand-daughter's birthday party we had a pair of kids prescription shoes taken and two pieces of women's clothing. What has our population come to?

On today May 25th. We decided to take .my grandson out to celebrate his graduation. The staff was rude as he'll Never greeted us . Anything we needed we had to go and find someone to ask questions. Why we ordered food get it about 30 minutes later, it's all wrong no sides and cold. So we ask for a manger. Why she was hiding and would not come out to.speak with us. Oh by the way that would be rude Christy . She sent several staff members to tell us she was not coming out to speak with us. She refus

Took my wife and 2 kids today.... we had VERY high hopes, but ended up VERY disappointed. I'm aware that the food shouldn't be expected to be high end, but for the price, i expected MUCH more. The nachos were stale with what I could only describe as some type of imitation cheese on top, the quesadilla was...edible. The burger was lacking flavor, the fries were the best thing we had. The arcade games were nice, but all the other play equipment was lacking maintenance, padding was missing, foam was torn up, a

We had an incredible experience at Surge by Drew Brees in New Orleans! From start to finish, the energy, staff, and atmosphere were absolutely top-notch. We came all the way from Georgia for a family reunion and the staff was AMAZING!!! Chaves was fantastic ? super helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. Kalia brought the best vibes and was so encouraging and upbeat the entire time. And shoutout to Jeremiah for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. You can tell the team

There was a kid not older than 5 punching and flipping kids off. I had to break up a fight with 2 other boys. Majority of kids are not supervised by their adult that brought them and the staff isn't monitoring it either. There was no notification to make people leave when their time was up, so it was over crowded. There were people on the equipment with no bracelet and not the right socks. If you're gonna have rules, make sure everyone is following them. Honest people shouldn't be penalized with oaying for

Very nice!! Friendly staff and lots of entertainment for the kids! And asults have clean comfortable areas to sit and watch!

My phone fell out of my pocket which is my fault but when I asked for help they said they only clean the foam pits once a month which is very unclean and discussing. They refused to help me find it so I had to get help from someone else who eventually found it but overall don't come here unless you want to play in a dirty foam pit. (Update) I have epilepsy and I need my phone because it tracks when I'm about to have a seizure and they told me I would have to leave it if I didn't find it. this is not good al

Everything is overpriced. The employees are rude. VIP bowling starts the minute you pay not start the game. Didn't even get to finish the game. The food.. well just eat before or after bc we waited an hr on a text message to let us know it was done just to realize when we finally asked that it was ready on a table and was all cold. Nasty.

It's a little pricey but overall it's a nice, fun place. I love that they have things for all ages! Very nice staff!

We had a ball here. My seafood wasn't great. The shrimp were too small. The catfish didn't taste fresh. The honey bbq wings were good. I enjoyed spending the day here with my niece. However, the prizes were awful.

We had a birthday party there. The kids had fun and the food and service were great. The missing cornhole bags, numerous down arcade games, and ridiculously expensive arcade ($4 for the racing games) is what's stopping me from giving 5 stars.

My son-in-law had a very large birthday bash for my daughter. The staff were very professional and friendly. They treated us like royalty! Everything we asked for we received. They not only cared for our needs and wishes... they seemed very happy to do so! It was a perfect evening!! It will be one of those lifetime memories.

IF I COULD LEAVE A ZERO I WOULD. I am not kidding you when I say they have the rudest staff, dirtiest foam pit, mold in the foam squares. I would rather eat 86 moldy cockroaches then EVER GO BACK TO THIS DISGUSTING FRANCHISE. There are multiple hazards with electricity, cables open, no nets or blockages to cables. Pizza was disgusting, and staff aren't watching the kids??? PLEASE DON?T GO HERE.

Today I had my daughter?s 8th birthday there, I booked with my birthday party reservation for 2 hours for jumping and an employee stopped my daughter and friends from jumping and hour before they were done for the jumping time I booked 2:30-4:30 that only gives you an hour to jump then the rest of the time to spend playing on games. This needs to be explained better

We had our Christmas party here. The experience was fabulous! Pete was great getting all the details together. Food was amazing and the incredible staff made sure everything was taken care of! Huge shout out to Stella, Marea, Brennan, Beau, Bailey,Harley, Randell and Jeanine who all gave us 100% the entire time we were there.

Great place for family fun! There are so many games and activities for children and adults! We spent several hours here and had a blast!

THE WORST PLACE TO EVER TAKE YOUR KIDS. overly expensive , they are very rude and nasty . you pay 400+ for a party and they rush you the whole time . I asked for my order to be taken numerous times and it was never taken until i went to the bar . They harassed the kids who were only having fun . They complained about every little things. and on top of the $400 we spent , the bowling and other amenities weren't even included !! They called the police officer to escort one of our party guests who is autistic

Reserved bowling lane and jump session for oldest daughter birthday. Everything worked out just like it should. Lisa made my purchasing experience very easy and trouble free. Server at front desk on Wednesday 12-27 was also extremely nice and waitress Taylor in the bowling alley was perfect as well. Overall great time. Thanks, will be back..

It's good for children. I'm not going there if I have to do everything for myself plus pay I pass I went to El Paso restaurant where I had a waiter and I paid and left great service

Awesome Place For Anyone Any Age...You will find something that Your Sure To Enjoy! Coin,Virtual Games,Foam Pit,2 Bowling Areas One Has Access To Bar & More Private

Carl was very helpful at the prize counter. He made my 7 year old daughter?s night. Thanks Carl!

I wish there was an age group for certain parts of the trampoline areas. Adults like to be BIG KIDS, too! (But we don't want any youngsters to get hurt as they jump back and forth in the same area with you, most of the times behind you without the knowledge of such happening) I did enjoy my time here. It is easy to spend a few hours in an enjoyable setting.

Bowling, although the lanes are gorgeous and lit up, it seemed a bit pricy to me. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the atmosphere. We played a few of the games and got a fair amount of tickets (rewarded to the game card for keeping track of it easily) and ended up going home with a really cool prize! The staff, although they're young, they are hard workers and very attentive to the customer.

We always love going to surge! Couple years back we had my son?s birthday there and our host was Lisa. She was amazing! My friends still talk how fun it was hanging in the private area. But since the party, we have seen Lisa many times when we go, and she is always so nice and makes sure we are having a good time. You can tell she really enjoys her job and takes pride in her work!! Thanks for always making us feel welcome and that's why we continue to go multiple times a month. My kids love it here!

This establishment is fun for kids and adults alike. Many options for entertainment and the decor and ambiance is nice.

Great games, great staff, food is very good but takes a while for them to make. I've played just about every game and attraction in here and let me tell you, Drew Brees knows how to do it. Bowling, trampoline park for kids and adults alike, arcade games and virtual reality Rollercoaster rides and MORE!!! Yall should check it out once you get the chance.

Last time I went was in November 2023 it was not a good experience had to wait at least 2 hours for the pizza and when we received it it was cold and flimsy I ordered a drink from the bar the bartender was rude and took a very long time to get my drink I think everyone was having a bad day that worked there that day! I had been there previously 3 other times and the service was good! And it definitely was not even busy that day!! I will try one last time to go there this Saturday June 1st because my daughte

We went here for my friends two sons birthday party and we had a great time.

Our fist time there and it was awesome. The staff were friendly and helpful. I especially liked how clean the place was. Can't wait to go back!

So disappointed. Hadn't been here for a few months. Took my daughter to play so I could watch the games in peace ( yup a building full of screaming kids is peace compared to having her in my ear telling me how boring football is). The food quality has plummeted. The service would have been dismal with exception of a very competent bartender (the one with all her teeth) Has management changed?

Fun experience. A little sad due to not being able to start an hour of bowling when we walked up to the counter at 8:58 pm. The lady at the counter said that we could not start a game due to the facility closing at 10pm...we didn't understand. We were very excited but had to take our money to another bowling ally.

I went bowling with my kids during the summer.i don't know if the restaurant is also run by surge, however we ordered pizza and drinks, and we expected it to come in the course of our game. It never did. After we had finished our 1 hour bowling time. Pizza and drinks still had not arrived. So I went to the actual restaurant just behind the bowling arena...well to cut a long story short. We ended up having to cancel the order, because we waited for an additional 25 minutes, I saw the waiter serving other pe

Had went bowling there with a bunch of friends and the atmosphere is amazing. Lots of good food and good drinks. Staff was very polite and helpful.

As others have stated in previous reviews, wait staff is horrendous. Don't try to get food here! I went back and forth between the dining area and bar to get assistance and no one would help me. The only thing the bartender said to me was that my children were not allowed at the bar (as I looked around at other children in the bar area). Maybe Surge employees are amused by single Moms trying to contain 2 small, hungry and thirsty children? The young woman at the concession stand in the arcade was delightful

Great experience! Bowling and then karaoke with the family in there!

Wonderful establishment and my grandkids love it. Just had a bday party Saturday. Just know stay away from Meagan the manager. Nasty attitude and could care less about a customer.

Kids really enjoyed themselves. It's a lot for the kids to do. Just pop them shoes off and let them GO! The bowling and VIP areas are perfect for the adults to hang out and catch up with friends and/or family. The customer service in the food service needs some improvements and be more organized. Nice place for a family day out.

Will not be going back. I know this is probably useless but decided to write this anyway. This place has so much potential and could be great. I wish I could have experienced it differently. I brought my little girl to jump today for one of her friends birthday, this was not a booked event we just took them to jump and have a good time, and to start prices are way too expensive for the service we received. Me and another mom decided to go get the kiddos some drinks, so we went to the concessions booth and w

We made the trip from Shreveport, LA to visit Marucci Clubhouse. It was well worth the drive. After hitting the cages and grabbing some bats to take home, we let the kids hit the games. They had a good time. Prices are extremely reasonable. Jump zone is good size. Free games such as cornhole and washers are also available. Bowling area looks good as well. Plenty of televisions. Open seating is not as easily found, but it is available in a few areas. We will definitely make another trip down just to experien

This is where it's @ y'all. They have something for everyone of all ages so if you haven't been I strongly suggest and highly recommend it!

Surge was quite an experience for me & my family. The server Alexis (Lexi) was every bit of helpful! She made our experience fun, kept us laughing and was very knowledgeable about the food, drinks and games! I would definitely recommend her for a management position!! Hope to see you next time we're in town Lexi & keep up the GREAT WORK!!! If anyone ever visits Surge, be sure to ask for Lexi!!

Me and my friend came here for a birthday party, we decided to get two sides the wings, mozzarella sticks and fries. Around 30 minutes after eating I was experiencing extreme stomach pains and even threw up in the bathroom. My friend who ate the same meal as me also threw up and was experiencing the same symptoms I had. We both agreed that the food seemed to be reheated and didn't taste fresh at all. We got our food to go and ate it at home just for us to experience the same symptoms but even worse. We're

The overall experience was good for the kids, however, I did become annoyed. I was waiting at the bar for about 6 to 8 minutes to order a drink. Then when the lady finally came, she immediately went to the white lady that was only there for 3 minutes. Like...I wasn't just there to be there. Yall really need to do better!!!

Over priced for a facility that doesn't keep up on General maintenance. Bowling lanes were dry (sounded like a basketball court, and I checked the lane itself?. As dry as the Desert, and the pins were held up by strings. At $45 for 1 hour for my husband and I we were highly disappointed. Our kids played in the foam pits but weren't provided any socks cause they were ?running low?. The food was as decent as what you'd expect at a small town carnival. Sadly we will not be back.

We Had an amazing time with our babies and cousin the babies jumped and ran and we ran and climbed like kids lol its an amazing place to be

Woman at Shake shack didn't let me buy a drink 40 minutes before closing !

We had a really good time the food was a bit over priced for what you got but overall we enjoyed bowling ??

We brought my son and his friends for his birthday. They had a blast jumping. We ate food from the surge prime bistreaux and our server Alexis was fantastic and friendly and a joy to deal with. Our food was fantastic. All around good times good people and good food

Went to a Christmas party here and we had so much fun! The server was great and Ben, the manager was so helpful! Thanks yall!!!

We all had a GREAT time.. REALLY NICE ATMOSPHERE FOR KIDS AND ADULTS. NO ONE LEFT WITHOUT HAVING A BLAST.. IF U GO HERE AND DON'T HAVE FUN U JUST AREN'T TRYING TO HAVE FUN....

2 star thanks to the lady behind the bar at the food place by the bowling alley. If you hate your job, quit. ?Sit wherever? while we all looked at every table full of dirty dishes. Sure let me push them to the side and eat next to them. She walked away and didn't bother cleaning a table or anything. Wasn't a one star because the ladies at the front desk were wonderful.

Went to the local Surge in Lafayette, LA on April 18, 2024 for one of my grandson?s birthday party. Kids had a great time, food was good but employees not so very concerned when I suffered a very bad injury which I am still recovering from. As I was leaving my right foot got hooked on the carpet, not quite sure because it happened so fast. Needless to say my right arm and right knee hit the ground hard. I have thin skin and was wearing a long sleeved shirt but even then the skin on my right forearm up to ab

Plenty for children and adults...the massage chairs are amazing and the kids loved the ninja course

A couple months ago I decided to have my daughter Birthday party here last minute and we had a great experience thanks to our server Alexis! She was kind, very attentive, and catered to our every need. Thank you again Alexis!!!!

Great time at Surge, the food was not as good as the last time. My kids enjoyed the trampolines and the arcade games. The Dark Ride was their favorite.

Management was unprofessional and ill-mannered. I booked 1 traditional bowling lane with 5 pairs of shoes for 2 hours online with a coupon code for 40% off. When I came in, I asked the worker if we could play for an hour instead, and have the other refunded or put on a card to spend on something else. The worker then asked a manager. Management came and snapped that it was not possible because the coupon code was ?not valid,? even though online granted code. She then stated she can cancel the entire reserv

First time here. I must say Kyndal was an amazing server, especially while working a huge section by herself and multiple large parties. It's a lot of fun for kids and adults here. The food is large servings and came out super quick. I will definitely be back to Surge.

Great place for adults or children! Great place for family fun!

Really nice place. Great workers! Only problem, we kept having trouble with screen in the simulator. Would freeze up. We played for 2 hours and I think it did it 5 times, maybe more.????

Bowling is absolutely atrocious. Same price per hour as acadiana lanes and the lanes here aren't oiled at all. Makes play unbearable. The string pins do not help out in any way. If I'm paying $30 an hour for bowling then I'd rather drive the extra 20 minutes to go to an actual alley.

We have come with the kids on a few occasions and the prices of everything have gone up yet so many pieces of the equipment is broken. The two times we have tried to order food it took forever for us to get waited on and even longer to get our food. We paid for an hour of bowling. It took 45 minutes to get our order placed and the 1 drink we ordered didn't get to us before our time on the lane was up. I had to ask for a refund and of course they were not able to refund the gratuity. we were never waited in

Such a great place for kids and adults to have fun. I started out playing some arcade games while the kids jumped and when I finally turned the corner I was amazed again of all the stuff they have to do in there. Great bartenders, staff up front could had been a little more friendly, and not make you feel your bothering them when asked if someone could assist them at snack bar . But it wasn't real awful. Our family had a blast. I recommend !

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. My son and I had a great time! Would definitely recommend.

Good food, my kid had fun. It could use more arcade games but overall impressive.

We have come here a few times over the last few years with no real complaints. I was in shock at how unorganized this place has become!! We ordered 1 margarita, "which was OK" 1 sweet tea "it came 35 minutes later," and 2 orders of cheese sticks. Well 1 hour and 45 minutes later still no food, now this is with the waitress asking if we ordered anything, while 3 different times asking if we ordered other people's food... she didn't know who ordered what. She never came back to see if we needed anything! I g

We celebrated my grandson's birthday at Surge and he's a child with autism so it's not many things that gets him excited but this place did. He had a blast and Ms. Kathy Forestier was so great with us. She was very kind and knowledgeable about all the different things to do and my grandson took to her very well so I would give Surge a A rating based on how happy my grandson was and the kindness of Ms Kathy.

I really don't like cause the employees hit me first and I hit them back so they called the cops on me look how dumb that is!??

I brought my niece in today and we had such a great time. Service was quick and super helpful! My niece said it's her new favorite place for pizza ??

Went for a kid's birthday party this past weekend and it was so unorganized. The party room wasn't set up when we got there, we had to set it up ourselves. None of the cards for the arcade games worked and it took like 40 minutes for them to figure out. Everything was overpriced (no surprise there honestly) and most of the staff seemed clueless. The food was good though I'll give them that

Best place for crane games. Always stocked and easy to win.

The place was nice when it came to entertainment. But the food and drink service was very poor. Took 30 min to get a drink or even an acknowledgment at the bar. Later sat at a table in the bowling area. Ordered food on their kiosk, since there are no waitresses just food runners. Took over 45 minutes to get our order of wings and cheesesticks. Then waited over an hour to get our Shrimp appetizer that was ordered at the same time. But only after making several complaints. With as much money as this place mak

Great place to go have fun my partner brother and I all had so much fun I loved the arcade and bowling was great. The only thing negative I'll say is that I thought our waitress was really very rude her name was summer. I told her everything was on one bill, our food took forever and then she asked to "validate my card" we weren't even drinking alcohol. We would have stayed and kept ordering more food / having fun if it wasn't for her. Michelle at the bowling ally was very kind and didn't ask to validate my

If I could give zero stars? I would. It is such a shame that the owner doesn't have a great management system in place? not only did I have to wait ten plus minutes for a drink, I am literally sitting here at the booth at the fifteen minute mark of no one coming to wait on me to place a food order. This place has become something that I would not want to continue to see and has very poor management skills. This place has great potential but with working employees like this who may not be trained properly or

Great place for people of all ages, from toddlers to adults, there's entertainment geared for everyone. It is quite busy, but there are no long waits for games or eats. Love this place on a rainy weekend!!!

They are not organized when booking a birthday party. They did not have a plan. Then when trying to combine arcade cards you have to wait for a manager. They just don't bother coming when called. I would not recommend this place at all.

We went on Sunday of Memorial day weekend with a group of 6. It was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hours spent there. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the food. We ordered burgers, fries, and pizza. All were very good. I didn't expect to get that quality of food in this type of establishment. I expected concessions type food and received restaurant quality food. We did most everything you could do there and had a blast. The only slight knock that I could give, and is what kept me f

DO NOT GO HERE!! The workers are extremely rude and hate their job. This one lady at the front had a rude attitude and expressed no intention of helping my family and I. I do not recommend going here unless you want your day ruined by workers who are ungrateful for their jobs and aren't helpful. It was clear to us that she did not want to serve us, so we left.

It's an amazing place to go, my son had his birthday party there with his group of friends, games were all fun same with trampolines! and the food was amazing! will go again!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
