Wow, our family had an absolutely fantastic time at Surge Adventure Park right here in Virginia Beach! From the moment we walked in, the energy was amazing, and we were blown away by the sheer number of trampolines and different bouncing zones. There were massive open jump courts where we could all bounce together, angled wall trampolines that the kids loved trying to run up, and even specific areas for games like dodgeball. It felt like there was a new way to jump and play around every corner, keeping ever
Visited for the first time, and it was a lot of fun! I really like that there is a separate toddler jump area and play area. There are a lot of different activities, definitely something for everyone! My concern is a lack of cleanliness. We were the first people in for the day, so I know the things I found around had to be from the previous day or days. Things that were a little gross were a used bandaid and juice box in the center of the toddler jump area, used socks around the foam pits, dirty papertowel
Birthday Party Review Overall everyone had a great time! If you're thinking about planning a party here, just don't expect much help from the party host getting set up and breaking down and bring your own kids drinks and water bottles. Pros: kids had a great time. Easy for guests to check in and start playing. Plenty of room for parents to sit and monitor kids. Cons: the staff put us in a room next to wooden pallets with exposed nail heads. The staffs only solution was to move us to a table further away
This place is great for my 4 and 2 year old. Love that they have a dedicated toddler space and staff has always been nice/friendly attitude. Space is big and clean. You have to watch for your kids and hope they stick together because it can be dangerous with older kids getting wild/their parents not watching after them. Giving one star off for the lack of food.. candy, chips, and sodas are not real options. Anyone that cares about children in the slightest would offer better food options. It's pure laziness
Watch your reciepts at this place. We set up a birthday party for my son. My wife & I set up everything & took down everything including throwing the trash away, no big deal. After the party was concluded they asked if I would like to tip our "party host" which never helped with anything. The employees there decided to go through & change things on our account & give themselves a tip for $51 & then surprise i never got the reciept until I spoke with corporate. Speaking with corporate, only spoke with them
We recently visited Surge and were extremely impressed by the level of cleanliness and maintenance. The trampolines, padding, and surrounding areas were all spotless and well-maintained. It was clear that the staff put a lot of effort into ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for visitors. I felt confident in my children?s safety while bouncing around and they had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this indoor trampoline park to anyone looking for a fun and clean experience!
I attended a party today and Jae was amazing.... I will say we asked a lot of her an the staff and they did everything in which we asked even with surge being busy. I love the way the lines were moving despite of it only being two cashiers. Jae and staff was amazing we will be back !!!!!!
Arcade was in terrible condition with multiple games broken. No signs on the games indicating they were broken. There weren't staff managing the climbing areas and no one to help with the zip line. Kids like jumping, but there are better trampoline parks in the area with attentive staff and working arcade games.
The kids at the party had a good time. My biggest complaint is that the staff did not monitor the zip line . I had to search for staff- found 2 who seemed to be just walking the circumference of the top area and ask them to help and watch over the zip line as some kids could not quite reach the handlebar to hold and some kids were still struggling to get out of foam pit when the next person started to go. The staff member merely stood at the bottom of the stairs and I had to ask him to go up and help ou
We had high hopes when we looked at the pictures. The reality is something else. In the pictures listed, the place is run down. Many places metal and wood are exposed. Many of the common areas are damaged and not secure. The large spinning wheel has been converted to a play boring place. Trampolines are dirty. The various touch machines are barely working. The zip line was broken when we went and the tall structures to climb were not open. Overall, the place is a huge safety hazard and I highly recommend no
Kids had fun for my nephews bday, but please do not let your kids play in foam squares. Not sanitary and needs to be removed. My youngest became sick by the end of our visit,as did the rest of my home for the following week. Other than that have fun, take hella sanitizer ??
The place is huge!!! One half of the building is a trampoline park. The other side has rock climbing and a small arcade. They have many tables for parties. The trampoline park side could be a little bigger in my opinion. Drinks and candy are sold but that's it so don't go hungry.
So I was happy to have picked a day that had pay for an hour get the whole day. It was surprisingly not over crowded. They were done after about 90 minutes. Everything they wanted to do required a staff member or was closed. Also, a trampoline had a hole in it. Not safe! There were only 3 people working. So the line was slow to check in, or there would be no one at the counter with people waiting to pay. The person that checks people in, was rude and short with a couple of simple questions. We had never be
Had a fun time with my friends, and devine (i think was her name) was the best worker ever !! It was so fun and the place was very exciting and filled with laughter !
Let's start with the good: -this place is alot of fun -we love the different sections -the price is affordable! Now for the bad: -parents please please stay away from this place during flu/cold season!!! The staff does not clean properly and other parents do not have common courtesy. A child threw up in multiple spots within the park (one by the ramp, another by the bball area). The staff took a good 30 mins to come clean it up with people dragging throw up throughout the park. The parents whose child was
Best trampoline park in the area hands down! We drive 30 min because it is worth it! Great prices and friendly staff. David made it extra fun and has great service!
Surge has been a lot of fun for me and the family. Gm Jenn was a huge help. She helped us determine best times to jump for our toddler birthday. I highly recommend ??????????
Hosted a birthday party here last night, paid $400 for a plastic table, $2 tablecloth, green socks and the flimsiest paper plates you can get. Had to constantly go ask staff for anything we needed?asked for drinks the entire time, finally got them 30 mins before party was over. Had to go ask for plates. Go ask for forks. Go ask for a knife for cake. Apologized for not being attentive then gave absolutely no reason as to why, as we watched her sit on her phone with headphones on 90% of the time. Absolutely d
My first time my husband and I visited with the kids and they loved it. I believe one of my daughters favorite is the obstacle course. We didn't get a chance to explore the side with the arcade games and rock climbing but we're definitely super excited to plan another visit!
I came here to celebrate my sons 2nd birthday and let him jump with his cousins. He had a blast alongside all of us . Justus was a really helpful employee when explaining how things worked to me and didn't make me feel rushed . He was working the front desk and the back concession of this place ! I love the variety and options I have coming here . Will definitely be back .
We enjoyed ourselves at the Surge Adventure park. We celebrated my youngest son's Bday here in 2022. This place is much better than just your traditional "trampoline park" as there are many things to do including basketball & dodge ball. They also allow you to purchase outside food to bring in for your party which is a good deal. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves along with the adults. We all enjoyed ourselves.
I saw a little girl get injured there last weekend due to the negligence of the worker. It's usually an enjoyable place for my children and I, but after that incident, I don't know if we will be back.
I brought my tickets online to avoid the long wait. I get in the express line where there's no attendant thinking the young girl who is helping everyone else will radio for help. The express line starts to get longer as we continue waiting. A gentleman had to ask the girl to call someone after about 7 minutes of us waiting. After another 5 minutes I ask a guy for the manager. As we're waiting for the manager, come and starts helping the line. No sorry for the wait, we'll give you more time since it took us
Understaffed is an understatement. The place is filthy, there is no control anywhere in the building. It takes forever to get checked in and I am not referring to the waiver. Just pure chaos in the worst way. If my kids were so excited to go, I would?ve walked right out. This place needs to close until they can hire more staff and floor monitors. Do not bring your children here. Better off at Cloud9 or the other trampoline park beside Dave & Busters. The trash on the floor occurs about every 5 feet. Never
So much fun! Staff are super friendly, helpful, and look like they're having fun too! Soooo many things to keep the kids busy and they had a blast...we will 100% be back!
Fun place for the kids but very understaffed and the arcade games are all broken. Needs a lot more cleaning and staff but either way the kids will have fun.
Give David a raise! He helped us on all the rock climbing equipment when no one else wanted to. He is super energetic, kind and helpful. He is a 10/10. Thank you, David!
Was here today for a birthday party It was horrible. The place was not clean. The table area we were assigned to had food on and under it when we arrived. My party attendant was non- existent. We NEVER saw her. We needed things and never got them. She came to bring me the papers to close out the party and that was it. The audacity of them to ask for a tip when we left is ludacris! I will not be back! If I could get a refund that would be amazing!!! The response from the owner seems like a statement gi
My son was in the ninja course area. He fell into a piece of metal in the foam put that was not covered up. He had to get staples in his head. Blood was everywhere. They didn't even close the area to clean the blood up. After talking to them later they told me they were waiting on a foam piece to cover up that spot, but that they take a long time to come. So they knew the metal was exposed and did nothing.
I must say, Team member Damien in the Virginia Beach facility is a respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable young man. He took time out to answer questions that myself and family had about the facility, he assisted my son with trying to find his phone when it fell in the form pit, and I watch him assisted 3 adult women out of the form pit when it was obvious they were not going to be able to do it themselves. (I must admit, I was one of those ladies). I really commend him for his hospitality and customer serv
Amazing experience with the kids the front desk staff are wonderful and you can tell they work hard handling the long lines! I got checked in by Jasara and she was very respectful to my kids and myself! also the court watcher Michael he made sure dodge ball was controlled the safe way.
This place defintly isn't the safest. The video cameras don't have playback so if an incident happens there's no evidence. Employees really couldn't care less about what they do which I guess it's nice there not strict but it's not good when a little kid gets trampled.
Gabby Moore for manager!! Yup, I said it. She was beyond awesome in helping out! Even made me laugh!! Will definitely be back based on her customer service alone!!
It needs to be revamped!!!! Alot of the fun things are out of order no zip line arcade games half work or don't have prizes the bar you used to jump over turned into a toddler section and it's a lot of money for the only fun thing to be dodgeball
The Foam in the pits could use some replacing but still a fun place. Update: Although the trampoline portion is still good there are other areas that need serious attention, most of the couches have Duct tape covering holes. One air vent has what looks like black mold on it(picture attached) and the mens bathroom needs a remodel. It seems as though the staff does all they can with the support they are given by management and or higher but outside the trampoline portion it's only looking like a less favorabl
If you are planning on visiting this location please be very careful the ac is leaking and they just put one wet sign on the floor that is not covering the entire wet area, a lady just fell and no body did anything to help.
There is a young lady by the name of Gabrielle Moore that works at surge she does not belong in a customer service setting, I have never felt more disrespected in my life, she was very obnoxious and loud, EXTREMELY GHETTO! she cursed out my entire family and multiple other families, call my oldest son the N word, she actually threatened to get physicaly violent with us, it was supposed to be an enjoyable evening with my wife and children and she destroyed the whole image of what the establishment represents
Amazing little place! Perfect place to take my daughter to burn some energy off. The price is right and leaving with her happy/tired is a bonus. I also always have great interactions with your assistant GM Michelle. Great place and I can't recommend it enough to others.
The grands absolutely love the one in Virginia Beach. The Website says until 9pm but they actually close at 11pm on Saturday. But grands they said they only need an hour??...
Went to sensory Sunday. Supposed to be 7.99 a person. Paid 50 something for 4 ppl. They said their pricing system was messed up and price was only for kids. Doesn't say that anywhere. As well as the toddler zone wasn't opened when we asked 1 employee said yea go ahead I cleaned it last night. Another employee ran over and said no and then cleaned it with extra strong chemicals according to them so it couldn't be open for over an hour. The one time it'd be extra awesome to have it open is with special needs
Kids loved the trampoline park, as did the adults in our group. There's a ninja course, toddler zone, dodgeball court, zipline and foam pit too!
I was really hoping that some of the other negative reviews were just angry people. I'm sad to say I was wrong. This place is overcrowded and incredibly dirty. The staff is very young and are much too into playing on the equipment than they are into ensuring the safety of the patrons.
Best Jump Park we have been to! So many different options between the trampolines, the ninja warrior section, a toddler section, a rock wall section, and even games. This is the one we will be coming back in the hampton roads area! The staff were friendly, engaged with the customers and did a great job ensuring everyone was following the rules! Fantastic spot!
nice place for all age group kids to run jump climb and etc. nice place to have a party and plenty of spacious room. all types of games to play
We did my son 10 birthday celebration and it was a success
Horrible place. Super disgusting, unclean, and VERY unsanitary. Security let drunk adults in while they're a bunch of little kids around. Not a safe place for kids, saw a big drunk man attack and harass teenage kids and staff members. The bathrooms have not been cleaned in a minute and there's left overs in the toilet. The water fountains are warm and the snacks are overpriced. Do not come here. I recommend ?get air?/jump.
My nieces and nephew had fun we ordered Marco's pizza was good.
I witnessed the staff purposely targeting and hurting children while playing dodge ball here. The employee was at least 20 and he was trying to take children?s heads off. The place was dirty and poorly run. Would not recommend
Very cool place. The games are expensive and the line situation needs help or a kiosk for those who have already purchased tickets online.
We took our 6-year-old son here on Sunday and were extremely disappointed. Having visited Urban Air in Georgia, we expected a similar experience, but this place fell far short. The staff, mostly teenagers, were more interested in chatting and hanging out in the corners than doing their jobs ( not all but some). The entire park is in disrepair, with torn areas and exposed edges everywhere. It was also littered with garbage, including cups, lids, and other rubbish. Many attractions were out of order, and the
We booked a party for 20 kids. A considerable amount of money was spent on this party. The website advertises " a dedicated party host". We booked the first party of the day and no staff assisted us. The woman giving out bands at the desk didn't want to be there. The arcade games were all not working. Very few worked. The ticket counter wasn't staffed. Kids wanted to climb and were told no we can't help you im going on break. We paid for a timed space of play and nothing was working. The staff said "oh a
Had a blast!! Not to many people and the kids had a great time! Great customer service!!
That is the worst birthday party experience ever Short staff , not control at all. My daughter was hurt by the boy who jumb over her on the zip liner , and the manager still get the point to the waver BTW the waiver doesn't have any jurisdiction power in VA . Now I get it why is not calling "jump" but "adventure" park. Is a real adventure if you get out without any injuries. Definitely not recommended. If there is a option for -1 star I will use it.
A great place for kids to burn off energy and have fun. There were lots of areas for them to enjoy with segregated areas for toddlers and littler kids. My kids loved it and were smoked after a little over an hour of bouncing
My kids absolutely love this place although my daughter isn't tall enough to do some of the things she wanna do. Despite she still loves coming here better than sky zone
The working staff was disgusting on 08/25/24. I hope the manager or owner of this establishment sees these reviews and takes action. In this establishment it was impossible to ask anything, they asked if there was tape, the worker rolled his eyes, they asked for a cart to put things in, the worker tsked and rolled his eyes. The girl from whom we asked for napkins ignored our request and sat on social networks, eating chips, we asked for a napkin a second time, she started yelling at us. And after that, she
I attended a birthday party here and it was very nice. The kids had plenty of room to run& play, the party space was good and there was plenty of room to setup and break down our table. My only complaint was that it was very cold in the back party room. Overall this is a great place for a child's birthday party.
Awful place. I waited in line for over 40 minutes when I had paid for time already starting while in line. One girl signing all these people I'm not working with any sort of urgency. Then she asked if I could let her check in her obvious friends sitting on the side, not even in line. I agreed while these 2 women signed in probably, 7 kids. This took another 20 minutes while I had 1 child to check in. After expressing some frustration these women started yelling at me, cursing and making fun of my appearance
I was here for my grandbaby's birthday party. I was absolutely disappointed with this establishment. It's not well maintained, and there's trash all over the place. I understand the patrons/children are discarding things on the floors, but staff should be routinely sweeping. With that said, I think the facility is understaffed, and there's no responsible adult supervision of the staff or conduct of patrons. The back party room was cold??... they had a small heater back there that couldn't possibly heat any
The toddler area provided a brief escape from the chaos, but the overall experience was frustrating due to overcrowding. The facility seemed more focused on profit than ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, with too many children in a limited space, particularly in the jumping area. The influx of large groups further contributed to the overcrowding, raising concerns about safety and value for money. As a result, we won't be returning and will choose another trampoline park in the future.
The lines were stretched to the door not because of popularity they're just slow. Been to similar locations its literally 30-60 Sec process. Get your ban and go. These guys take 5-10minutes per customer. Security in the entrance (bad sign) doing everything except securing. They were short staffed, i counted maybe 4-5 personnel on duty. Dirty mop buckets with stilled dirty water still in it, deteriorating equipment held together by tape? Downed bathrooms. Kids fighting some of them teenagers, no staff insigh
Gabby, the young lady at the front counter was extremely helpful and patient. I thought our waivers were all done, but the new year rolled around and she graciously helped me get them straight. I've also had a birthday gathering here for my kids this past December and the staff were helpful and kind. The gaggle of teenagers I brought had a blast! Thank you Surge!
Had our child?s birthday party there and never will come back. Bathrooms were disgusting?dirty floors, sinks and toilets. There was no soap in the bathrooms at all. I may be wrong but this should be some sort of health code violation. I talked to several employees that could care less. The employees were very inattentive and didn't seem to care about anything. Sitting around and joking around playing on their phones. I asked to talk to a manager and no one seemed to know how to find one. This place seems li
Took my kids to surge for spring break, and I thought it was pricey, but everything is going up in price. All though my kids enjoyed their time there, I went to the restroom and saw 1 out of 3 stalls worked. One was stopped up and jumping for 2 hours. Those restrooms have not been touched. It's a kid theme park, especially after covid sanitary should be top priority. Overall it's a great indoor spot to get the children out the out but also away from the pollen and rain.
My daughter's 9th birthday party was scheduled for May 19, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30. However, the check-in process was chaotic as some children were given different color wristbands, leading to confusion later in the evening when announcements were made for specific colors to depart the trampolines. I had to request everything that Surge was supposed to supply, only to be informed that the drinks I ordered were sold out. The host said she would remove them from my bill, but I could have brought drinks if I h
We crashed two Birthday parties at two trampoline parks in three days ... one at Surge & another in Richmond. I agree w/ the consensus ... while there's a few general maintenance issues that could be addressed by ownership, Surge 'is' one of the better trampoline parks we've visited. We visited Surge in March (2022) ... invited to a Birthday & everyone there had a blast.
It's a bit pricey for the overall experience. The building is quite large with a lot of unused space. Every "ninja" obstacle course was missing an element, so it was impossible to complete one all the way through. There was a trapeze station without a trapeze. Ended up with a lot of foam particles in my eyes just from landing in and climbing out of foam pits. The kids had fun, though, and I got some exercise.
Today the computers were not working correctly and then when I tried the QR code to sign the waiver it was not working. The guy at the counter who was the manager was not helpful but another employee was extremely helpful, patient, and kind. Tonasia Collin?s was amazing! She is the reason why I didn't leave.
Good place for the kids wish they got rid of the arcade area and added some more trampoline stuff because I never see anybody there at the arcade anyway
Family package advertised on menu board, and was refused the package because it wasn't Friday. Menu nor website stipulated the deal was Friday only. Cashier tried to advance the next family behind us after I simply asked about the menu stating the deal and not being able to get it.
The employee with the twist on top of his hair who wears glasses should no longer be allowed to work at surge. he doesn't treat people as customers and is too aggressive towards little children. He clipped my 4 year old brother and beamed the ball at his face. I AM SO DISSAPOINTED!! ??
The place itself is a great time for kids. The front desk staff were wonderful. The other "employees" were getting paid to play. They sat around, played dodgeball with each other and didn't do much work. They close at 8. Before 7, my child asked to do a climbing activity. I asked one of the employees THREE times to get someone to come over, but he was too busy playing dodgeball. Someone finally comes over and says the area is closed so they can clean. After a manager got involved, my child enjoyed it. Idk t
Fun place for a couple hour experience, we wish we had bought more than an hour and a half! You will have to have socks with the grips on the bottom or they will sell you a pair. My advice is to get there as soon as they open because they get super busy.
Looked cool. Walked in and signed our waivers. Asked about doing the rock wall. (The whole reason we chose this specific park.) Was told no one was there to run it. Thought we would just come back another day but when we asked when someone would be there the guy said he didn't know. Asked if someone called in and if that was why it was closed he said he didn't know. Asked if somebody was scheduled to be there tomorrow and again he said he didn't know and then stared at us like we asked stupid questions. The
Absolutely horrible! Do not go after dark. Every disrespectful teenager was up there fighting, cussing people out who were breaking up fights, it was out of control that the staff couldn't do anything and or wouldn't do anything. There was only two girl staff members trying to help and do stuff but they were just cussing them out. Parents were bringing their kids in and then leaving once they were in there. The so called security guard wasn't doing a damn thing and was on his phone and when I approached him
Love the set up and space. Very nice staff. Our kids had a lot of fun for 2 hrs.
The prices to just jump are crazy...$22 for 90 minutes, $5 for a small ICE, the least they could do is have a decent cold water fountain where the kids can use a refillable water bottle. And I never see any Groupon. And there could be more options there for parents, I. E. Plugs/charging stations, drinks, food, etc...
This place is great for a fun day with the kids. I thought my kids would love a hour and a half jump but they tucked out after 1hour lol if you get socks keep them for the next visit so you won't have to pay for more. Also make sure to sign and save your waiver in advance
Clean, a little worn in some spots but it's really great if you're able to go when other kids are in school and it's not too busy.
Super fun , great place for birthday parties for kids .
Jon and Khemistry were amazing at rectifying a situation that I encountered. Khemistry was friendly, and efficient. She quickly referred me to her manager. Jon was empathetic and did all he could within his power to ensure I was satisfied. Great teamwork!
Went here for my son's 10th birthday. The package was well priced DURING the weekday. We had the party on a Wednesday night , our party host was very helpful. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because how the party room is set up. There are 5 picnic tables lined up in one room. There was 3 party's that night so the room was very limited. I think y'all should tell people how the party room is before booking.
Erin was so incredibly kind, patient, and generous during my son's birthday party. She truly went above and beyond and can not thank her enough. Highly recommend.
We held my son's birthday party here. The facility was clean and there is plenty of activities for kids of all ages - heck, even adults. They provided a good amount of party supplies, the staff was exceptionally friendly and the price was not bad ($184 for 2 hours with a party of 10). I'd definitely recommend it for a party or just to have an hour of wear-yourself-out-fun.
We had a birthday party here for our son and it was amazing! Kids had such a great time ! I couldn't have asked for a better party assistant than Jelea ! She was so attentive and helpful! Overall we had a wonderful time and so did all of our guests !
The kids have a good time but the place is always understaffed and it takes an hour just to get checked in.
I brought the family here for some quick fun. The kids really enjoyed playing on the ninja course. The place was clean and had a good amount of employees there to help. We went during Toddlers Hour; half price off admission. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to take the kids somewhere fun.
Ishonni was an amazing hostess for our party. Some of the equipment was broken and not working properly, has been for months. The line for the harness activities was longer than 30 minutes so most kids wasted part of the party waiting for that.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
