Customer Reviews

I've gone to superlap on multiple occasions, bringing new friends or family with me each time. The setup is great for first timers or people with experience. Dan and Jake do a great job and are passionate and helpful to beginners or people who have done sim racing before.

Took the Paramount Roofing finance team to Superlap for an outing?what a blast! The racing sims are insanely realistic and way harder than you'd think. Great energy, top-notch staff, and an awesome way to compete and bond as a team. Highly recommend! ??

What an awesome experience! The staff is super nice and helpful for beginners. Clean Sims and excellent quality. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for the thrill of driving without the danger!

Very easy to jump into compared to other sim arcades. Driving in this feels as close to real life as you can get minus the G forces. Good value too for an hour. Would be kinda nice to have a short intermission halfway that didn't eat into your track time.

I love this place, if you're interested in sim racing and motorsports and a seasoned vet or a newcomer this place is for you. Dan and Jim are the owners and have racing experience themselves. Equipment is excellent even for people who have sim racing setups at home. Great place to race competitively and also hang out with your friends/family. You can even sign up for their coaching programs to get better and race in their weekly leagues/events. No other place like this in Michigan!

Awesome spot! Great for racing and/or video game fans. Staff was super helpful, professional, and patient. Took my 8-year-old son who played along on the kid simulator, and they helped him change cars every 5 secs (like kids do). Did a great job explaining all the controls and made it an amazing experience, even for a first-timer. Highly recommend Superlap!

Great facilities, good instruction (I'm a n00b to sim racing) and an overall enjoyable time! The website and brand design is awesome to boot ?? Will be back Edited Down to 4, need better customer service!

Great way to dip your toes into sim racing - and hopefully real racing eventually. Dan was incredibly kind and helpful!

I drove down Woodward Ave and saw the attractive, bold title ?SUPERLAP.? Curious about what this thoughtfully branded building was, I googled it and learned it was a race car simulator. I've always wanted to try racing cars, so I thought I'd make a visit. After visiting today, 6/8/24, I have to say this place is incredible. I'd never driven a race car, let alone a racing simulator, but the experience was so fun. Dan was incredibly helpful, giving simple instructions on how to get started and offering more

Phenomenal experience. Super knowledgeable staff that's great to chat with, and the sim is just terrific. Highly recommend!

Great facility and sim setups. Owner is an experienced racer and they have a really great process to get everyone enjoying the session regardless of your skill level. Rigs are triple 27's with nice Direct Drives and Wheels. Full motion takes a bit to get used to but is clearly is quality hardware. Sounds like you can do anything from private rental to leagues they will be forming.

Loved this place was more than we thought we would. Amazing Sims. A must visit for everyone. Trust me you'll love it!

Way more engaging and thrilling than I was expecting. Having headsets and being able to banter with friends while driving was a lot of fun. I definitely plan on returning soon!

10/10 would recommend spending some time here. Staff was helpful and very friendly. You will have fun matter the experience level of sim racing you have. Clean place with clean top of the kin sim rigs. Will definitely go back!

First time sim racing, had a lot of fun, good atmosphere, staff is knowledgeable and passionate about racing

This is a great place to try out some awesome sim equipment! Full Motion rigs! High quality stuff. The place is well run and has awesome competitions! 100% worth a try!

So impressed with this place! My 6 year old son has cerebral palsy and Dan could not have been nicer or more accomodating to us. He absolutely loved it! Such a great father/son place. We'll be back soon!

Superlap is extremely fun! The sims are very high-tech and realistic. Dan is very helpful, patient, and kind as well! He will talk you through your driving data and give you pointers to get faster lap times. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or if you've been driving for years, this is a great place for a fun afternoon!

Really cool concept and awesome place to sim race at! Top-end gear with Asetek wheelbase, heusinkveld ultimate pedals, and motion rig with iRacing being their main racing game. They also have a children?s sim rig in a theme of a gokart. If you have any interest in getting into sim racing, hosting a group of 8 racers, or wanting to get a rig built; this is the place for you! Check this place out as a great alternative to getting your high speed adrenaline!

Always an amazing experience at superlap. I've done autocross and track days, but never tried sim racing before coming here. I was hooked after the first hour and I've been back (at least) once a week since. The sim rigs are top notch. Dan is super helpful and informative. Overall, the place is awesome.

Went for a holiday party and they were so patient with us all and made sure we all had fun

Great experience, owner was there and super helpful! Awesome tech, would def recommend

Had a blast trying this place out for the first time, and I can't wait to go back! Dan was super helpful, teaching us the ropes and thoroughly reviewed our performance afterwards. Racing enthusiasts, this is a must-visit!

Fun place, we had a great time racing! Clean, friendly staff.

Superlap Dan is the man! A fun filled hour or 2 to get your fix of going fast without getting a ticket or hurt. Go fast or go slow it's your choice. Just remember it's the skinny one you press. Go check out Superlap and find out how fun it is for yourself.

Had a great time, Sims were clean. Atmosphere was great. Perfect for beginners or advanced use

Awesome Staff, awesome atmosphere, awesome experience. Do not hesitate to book a session! Totally worth it!!

Badass place. If you're into Sim Racing this is the place to go.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
