This place gets two stars because despite the great selection of toys and it is a great spot to support local business, the guy working the cash wrap needs serious customer service training. Asking him about the kites elicited one word responses and he was brusque and disinterested. He did the same to a few folks who walked in. Not sure if he's the owner or what but he's extremely rude and seeing the other reviews, I can't say I'm the only one who dealt with similar behavior.
It's strange to have a shop full of toys and games where the employees are actively hostile to parents with children.
What an absolute gem of a toy store. Perfect for one of a kind presents or essential toys for all ages. This is one of our favorite stores now.
Fabulous store with unique games and toys, so glad I stumbled in there.. found gifts for my kids and nieces thanks to the wonderful employee who made a bunch of recommendations. I'll definitely be back!
I took my seven year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter for a treat after school. The person at the counter did not greet us. He was not friendly. I had to speak to him first and he did absolutely nothing but look at his cell phone. And what toy shop has no bathroom? The place does not present itself well. The shop looks like it needs a good clean and reorganized!
Really great selection and I found the prices to be very fair considering some of the toys are unusual, original, or otherwise not what you'd find often. I love stopping in here after dinner somewhere in Arvada, I love that it's open later than like 6pm. Bought a Christmas present here and hope to come back for stocking stuffers!
Not enough of these little eclectic toy stores anymore... And a video game arcade!
I love this place! They have cute and unusual toys for gifts! The guy is always chatty and helpful.
Very interesting store for all types of toys and games. Was curious. Not in market for a purchase. Right on LR line G.
Cool toy store in olde town. Worth a drop in. Decent amount of inventory from young to old.
It's a cute little store. Not a huge selection because of its size. But still cute.
Really cool place. Lots of toys you don't see everywhere.
Great store great customer service and love all the cool toys.
Great place, Kyle was just the best. Made me feel so welcome. He deserves a bonus.
Amazing guy up front, very friendly along with a great selection of toys and knick knacks
This toy store is awesome just to go in and look around. Has different toys
Freshest thinking putty on the block. You can't get fresher, stickier, stretchier thinking putty anywhere else. It's dope putty.
Cute little toy store with plenty to look at
Great place.. Very expensive though if you take multiple kids.
New little gem of a store that's fun for adults and kids.
Great toy shop, friendly staff!! ??
Good selection of toys and games!
Best place for toys in Arvada: 3
Awesome selection and pleasant staff
Half of the toys we got didn't even work
Loved it was a fun place
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
