Stop Button Bar

Stop Button Bar

Reviews Summary

Stop Button is a popular arcade-bar hybrid offering nostalgic and modern gaming experiences for all ages. Most reviews praise its affordable flat-fee entry (typically $5-$10) with unlimited free gameplay, creative drinks, and friendly staff (especially bartenders like Brandon). The venue excels as both a family-friendly daytime spot and an adult-oriented nightlife destination (18+ after 9pm). While some note minor issues like occasional rude staff, limited NA drink options, or older game selections, the overwhelming consensus highlights its vibrant atmosphere, diverse game library (arcade, consoles, billiards), and strong nostalgic appeal. A few critical reviews cite service hiccups, but most consider it a must-visit Fayetteville gem.

I absolutely love Stop Button!! It's amazing for fellow nerds and gamers to have a great time with friends and family. I always go with my own crew and it's never a dull moment, games are free to play and are of all types. The Bartenders always have great atmospheres and make epic drinks. Would easily recommend to any and all if you wanna have a good time to come here !! ??????

This is the coolest chill spot for adults who grew up in the 1980s-2000s! If you come in during the late hours, after 9 pm, and pay the $10 cover, literally ALL games are free to play! There's traditional arcade and pinball machines, as well as air hockey, billiards, and lounge areas to play Xbox games! The drinks at the bars are very creative, named after video game characters. There's even a back patio area to play Cornhole and relax with friends. As far as family time goes, Stop Button hosts birthday par

Love that they have a Fight Game Community out there. They host tournaments for Street fighter and Tekken and others every 1st Saturday of the month. And watching everyone play is a lot of fun. The staff are always so helpful when I ask about a drink I want to try. I love going here. I've spoken with the owner a hand full of times too. He definitely has a good head on his shoulders. He cares a lot about the customers experience and makes sure proper and informative signage is posted. 13 outta 10

Absolutely fun and offers so much things to do! From old timey arcade games to fun shoot em games to even consoles and so much more! I have traveled a bunch and no bar has offered so much for only one price! A free to play is super hard to say no to! Plus the drinks are PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend if you are just visiting or staying or LITERALLY ANYTHING! Super friendly environment and very welcoming! 10/10

This place is amazing. I suggest it if you've never been there. Go $10 to get in. Can you drink all night? Can play video games for free old retro Games, new games. In between games, virtual games, pool tables, air hockey pinball, great atmosphere, wonderful staff, the workers will engage you in conversation. They all seem pretty cool and knowledgeable about their job. Kids can be in there until 9 PM. Then it's adult time, love, it highly suggest this, place

For starters, you have the best bartenders in rotation. Brandon, Haley, Raven, and Trell. Plenty of consoles and arcade cabinets (that they have on rotation so there is new stuff). The staff is very friendly and welcoming as always. They take harassment very seriously and as a woman, I always feel safe regardless of who's working. Bonus points for Friday karaoke and Wednesday being their misc. trivia game days. Rest assured if you still can't find something to do there is corn hole, and spare tables for wha

Hands down my FAVORITE place in the city! The best vibes, amazing set of games and the best bar tenders in the city!!! Drinks are always on point and very reasonably priced been coming here for years. Between the game nights and the themed parties, you can tell the owners and workers take pride and have so much love in their establishment!

It's a great place for kids and adults. Monday-Thursday only $7 for entry. Friday-Sunday only $10 that's all you need and the games are free to play. The atmosphere, the staff, the bartenders yes I said bartenders are Top Tier. Need a drink while playing your game? Don't worry, Brandon is one of the best and he will take care of you.

Wonderful place for gamers and nerds of all ilk. Legendary karaoke is phenomenal and the staff are friendly and awesome! It's a great venue to have a birthday or just hang with friends. I drive up there from Lumberton at least once every two weeks. Definitely check it out!

This is a very fun place! We visited on a Tuesday evening in July while traveling. Price: They provided military discounts which made our entrance fee less than $10. Completely worth it! Crowd: It wasn't super busy, being a week day. They do 18+ after a certain time (2100?). We never really had to wait for games to open up. Bar/Service: The guy at the counter was super kind and helpful. The bartender was friendly. Quality: Some of the games have some wear and tear but overall the games were in decent sh

Big shout out to latrell for making me some wonderful drinks and for helping me celebrate my husband and sis in laws birthday. He went the extra mile and was so friendly. He gave me a wonderful first time experience. Id 10/10 recommend seeing him and visiting this bar just for him. The games were all free and fun as hell

I'm not going anywhere else this place is fantastic a small charge to get in an unlimited play time on the machines this was fantastic! My kids laughed and talked so much and they are coming back with their friends what a great place to unwind have fun with your family and be a kid again some kids came over and asked my husband to teach them how to play pool it was so much fun!!!!

We have had our sons two birthdays here and it was phenomenal. The service by brandon and the front desk were excellent! The place is adult and kid friendly and has environment that makes it fun for the whole family. 10/10 would have my sons party here AGAIN and come here on another day to just have fun. There is no place in fayetteville that compares.

This place is excellent. It feels like the late 90's/ early 2000 kind of arcade. There is a cover charge and all the games are free play. The bar has a great selection and low prices.

Best hangout in Fayetteville. 10 dollar entry, Unlimited play on all machines, Console setups, an outdoor hangout area, and really good bartenders. This place is a gem. This city wouldn't be nearly as fun without it.

Super fun place. Totally worth the admission price. Went on a date night with the wifey and it felt like we were dating in highschool again. Loved it.

Nice space. The games were dope and the people were very approachable and friendly. The drink menu was very unique as well. Great place to kick it and have shots with friends or to drum up some healthy competition with other gamers. It was vibe.

This is one of the most "totally rad" places I've been to in a very long time. The staff, Brandon and Raven at the Bar and Kenny at the door, you cannot ask for a better bunch of ppl to get the night going. If you are looking for someplace where you can go and have a good time and be treated well, this is your STOP BUTTON!

Stop button is every nerds dream. For a flat fee you get into the bar and can play games all night. With a massive drink menu and an extremely friendly staff it's most certainly one of the best spots in the hope mills/Fayetteville area

If Chuck E. Cheese grew up, got a job, and started slinging drinks?he'd probably be Brandon at Stop Button. This place is the perfect mix of nostalgia and good times. From classic arcade games to karaoke Thursdays with Legendary Karaoke (yes, it lives up to the name), it's always a blast. Brandon behind the bar is a whole vibe?funny, fast, and somehow knows what you need before you do. I especially love the Jackbox game nights he hosts?where else can you drink, laugh, and outwit your friends all at once? A

BEST arcade bar there is! Instead of paying for every single game, you pay a flat cover when you come in & get unlimited play of all games. Great fun and great decorations ? everything is on theme!

stop button is a hidden gem of fun activities for anyone of any age!! My uncle introduced us to this place a few months ago and my family and I go almost every weekend now! It's a family favorite for going out with friends and you sign up for a membership card once and its valid for an entire year. Inexpensive, fun, drinks, corn hole, outdoor seating, PS5, cards against humanity, local art, great fun!!! Occasionally there will be food trucks outside (typically tacos) really great experience . MUST HAVE A PH

"Brandon is a wonderful bartender. He gave me a BEER! WHAT? ANOTHER BEER! WHAT!? A SHOT UH WHISKEY! WHAT? A SHOT UH GIN! WHAT?!" Everyone is awesome there. Great time, good vibes, and massive game selection.

A hell of a lot of fun. The best barcade I've been to in NC! So many options - whether you want the traditional gaming experience or to use a PS5 in a group, you'll have fun. $10 to get in.

Dope place to go kick it with some of the old friends when I'm in town. They usually have good drinks and all of the classic games I enjoyed from my childhood. No and days it's easy to game online, and this reminds me of the Elite Zone days in Fayetteville (iykyk).

Super dope and welcoming environment, drinks from Brandon are top notch, games ranging from retro to modern, revolving tournaments and events. Has been a staple of my weekends for the past 5+ years.

The front desk service was not hospitable. The receptionist informed me that my ID was about to expire in a rude tone. When we got in, the floors were dirty and the drinks at the bar were not to standard. We got kicked out because of a misunderstanding of a beverage. We left peacefully so there wouldn't be any issues. My friends and I will not be attending here again.

Great Price for play! Frontdesk staff was kinda rude but honestly everything else was great and Latrell was a great bartender. He was friendly and had personality will be back because of him.??

Took my son here for his 16th birthday and he loved it. I love the amount of arcade cabinets that were around. From classic retro games up to newer modern games. It's definitely a great place if you want to hangout or get nostalgic over games you used to dump quarters in back in the hay day of Arcades. It's definitely worth becoming a member and every game starts up easily without any issues. Definitely will be coming back here with my son or maybe to drop in a play more Gauntlet Dark Legacy.

Stop Button is one of two arcades in the Fayetteville, and caters to individuals looking for a variety of classic games or an adult, bar-like vibe. When you visit for your first time, the attendant at the counter will have you fill out a slip for a membership card. Daily entrance fees are at $20 per person, and you receive a wristband that allows you to exit the building and come back at a later time (they don't offer food inside, only drinks, so you could leave for a meal or snacks and go back in). The s

Really awesome place to come hang, chill and just have fun. They offer a large variety of games, from arcade to console. They let you bring in your own food, but no drinks, you have to buy drinks from the bar. Speak of the bar, the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the lady behind the bar was really rude and had a bad attitude. We stood there for over 10 minutes before she took our order and when she did she stood there like she was annoyed that we were taking too long. I thought it would be just th

Best barcade in NC! With the best bartenders and some of the nicest humans you'll ever meet. It's always a good time there.

Good games, however the bar staff can be slow and rude at times. Also the guy at the front register (always wears headphones) has been rude to me evey single time I have gone here. I will not be going back.

While I didn't grow up in the video game era, this place is simply amazing and can be enjoyed by nearly everyone. Pay the entry fee and every single game is free. Tons of arcade games, pool, air hockey, and pinball. Two bars with a snack machine and they frequently have a food truck there on the weekends. Even at peak times, there's available games everywhere. Totally worth it!

It was ok, beware if you are paying in cash and have a large party they will not take a 50 or 100 dollar bill. Other note I say about a 3rd of the games weren't working. Family and I were there last weekend (today is 3-12). Hopefully it was better for others.

Awesome place! We were hesitant to go after reading some of the negative reviews, but the bad reviews were bogus; this place is amazing. Just make sure to have a valid ID with your birthdate on it; we did see someone turned away because they had a DoD contractor ID, which does not have the birthday on it. But we had a great time with our kids. The place was clean, kid-friendly, and all the games were working. We stayed for hours, and anytime there was an issue with a game (like an error code on the screen,

Really enjoy coming here. Plenty of games i grew up on and new console games to enjoy as well. The flat rate at the door is a true value vs paying to play the games. It's a play i keep coming back to

This place was loads of fun. Drinks for adults and although it's video games I think this is more catered toward 5 and older. My 3 year old was happy for all of 30 minutes then done. The only game she could ?play? was the dancing one which she loved!

MY WHOLE FAMILY LOVE THIS ARCADE & BAR! I ESPECIALLY LOVE $1 MONDAYS BC I HAVE A FEW KIDDOS AND OUR FRIENDS MEET EACH OTHER ON DATE MONDAYS FOR THE SUMMER SO OUR BABIES CAN STILL ENJOY EACH OTHER... AWESOME ENVIRONMENT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS!

This place is tremendous fun and you can play arcade games for hours.* $5-$7 entry fee for unlimited games is pretty much around what you would have spent on games in quarters in the early 2000s as well, if not less. ?? Bring noise cancelling headphones if you have sensory issues though, it can be overwhelming. ??Bar has delicious drinks as well.

We celebrate my Son birthday on this place yesterday and all our guests had so much fun!! The place is very nice and affordable to celebrate birthday. I wish we can extend 1 more hour to use the rooms, because 1 hour seems not enough. But other than that we don't have complain at all. The kids and their parents had a blast playing video games and my friend booked her daughter birthday her as well and all my friends thinking doing the same thing. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing Staff (Especially Tyler at the front desk!) amazing experience, awesome games, easy to understand rules, Great selection of drinks (and alcohol), clean restrooms, and most importantly a fun place to go for the day!

Pretty cool place! We all had a blast! Definitely worth the unlimited amount during the time kids are allowed! They have almost every gaming system that's out with controllers and games available! Air hockey, pool table, pac man, pinball. All sorts of games! Employees were friendly! Did not order food from the bar only sodas. They have a vending machine as well. Love this place for a rainy day or when its to hot out. Only complaint is the music is a little to loud lol. Definitely bring hand sanitizer! We s

This place was SO fun! We will definitely be going again. I will say, maybe 4 people total were wearing masks inside - so if you're worried about the VID, this is NOT really the place for you. They have a full bar in back and some pretty fun drinks! The staff are all super friendly and very helpful when needed. It is a very fun and friendly atmosphere, everyone is just happy! They do kick anyone under 18 out at 9pm, so keep that in mind if bringing children!

Amazing staff. Great games and drinks. Karaoke is always a blast. Brandon and Haley are amazing!!!

Whenever I come to Stop Button, I really enjoy seeing Brandon and Haley. They make the experience for me and my kids an enjoyable one.

I love the atmosphere, the games, and karaoke every other Thursday and I'm definitely checking out karaoke on Fridays!

Prices are good, games were fun, family enjoyed it. Only negative thing I'd say was the front desk guy would fit it in more at the DMV.

Went to celebrate my oldest kid's 21st birthday. Think I enjoyed myself more than she did. Just $10 bucks to get in and play all the games for free on a Friday night. Enjoyed the cocktails too. Definitely recommend this place if you love arcade games.

Fun place to hangout on a Saturday night. Busy. 10$ cover fee included unlimited games and the drinks were typical bar prices. The Wonder Woman was pretty good and the games selection was large and varied. We'll be back with our kids during the day sometime.

Great spot, the staff has always been welcoming, karaoke here has always been a good outlet weather I'm belting or screaming.

Great place for the family, drinks and retro gaming with modern gaming choices also.

This place is the best! $10 all you can play! Amazing!!! Never been sad leaving here! ?????? Super cool artwork adorns the walls!

We came in for a birthday party we were invited to. The kids had fun but there wasn't a lot of newer games mostly older style.

Place has decent priced drinks and a decent variety of games. However, some of the consoles you can not even play all of the games and the guy at the front door with the headphones is especially rude every time I come in.

Great place to hang out and play with the kiddos. My sons love it! Still going here three years later!

Cool place and really awesome atmosphere. Only complaint is there's one worker at the front desk (always wearing headphones so he can't hear you) who is the worst! Very rude every time I come here.

Lots of fun, four stars because they don't carry any NA beers and we aren't mocktail people. But hopefully in the future they add atleast one!

Just wanted to shout out to the staff tonight for 90s night, thank y'all for all of your hard work appreciate the drinks and beats, just respectfully whoever came up with th tootsie roll drink, it's not it.

Got to check this place out! Great place to unwind, grab an adult beverage, and still a kid friendly spot ?? Staff members are wonderful, they remember you, and are always thankful for your business. Pay to get in, then all free play games. Great on the budget for these difficult time. Been a customer for three years now and love sharing this gem with my friends. ???????

Every time I come here, it feels like home ...this is the ultimate headquarters for gamers across the globe ?? TikTok: hookmanhookman

A fun place to take kids and adults to that will keep you entertained for hours. A wide variety of games can keep you engaged for an entire day. The bar selection is great but lacking any type of food menu. I would strongly suggest that you give it a chance.

It's a cool place to hangout and have fun with your friends and family. Membership is $10 dollars and you have to pay $10 each time you go. Some of the games are free but some require you to pay quarter up to $1. There's free pool and air hockey. Edit: came back here on Sunday and figured out the DZero don't need coin but you have to press a button, no one could figure it out till we asked the person in charge. Could?ve put a sign somewhere. Tried ordering 6 infinity stones shots, bartender said she is too

Stop Button is an amazing and unique location. With the lack of third party spaces in this day and age, it's nice to have a place for adults with similar interests and hobbies to hang out, play games, and enjoy the night. A great place to hang out with friends or just to spend some time playing games by yourself or with others. You pay a small fee to get in for the night, and the games are to your disposal for no other cost. Definitely a must-visit arcade if you're in the area and that's your kind of thing!

Latrell the best bartender i?ve seen, he's very friendly and he pours good.

We had fun and good price. The wonder women drink was good but the other drink I had wasn't even drinkable. I took one sip and tossed it. They only had one pool table but tons of other game we enjoyed the pinball!

Great atmosphere! But ladies please be careful, this older white guy with black glasses and long curly blond hair was following us relentlessly. He also was way too close to another women and her husband had go basically ask him to leave her alone. I hope this establishment took our complaint seriously and kicked him out.

We enjoy coming here for the all you can play game time. Lots of older arcade games and video game consoles for use. The bartenders and staff were all super friendly. I think this a great friends night or date night stop.

Kids are allowed up until 9pm on Fri/Sat. My kids LOVE this place, and I like getting to be around other adults. The adults are also very friendly towards children, creating a dynamic that's hard to explain but defiantly a good thing.

It was a unique experience and I thought it was ok to try once, but I don't understand why anyone would make it a regular place to visit. Home Video game systems can play most any game you want and you don't have any excess noise or people.....it's a personal preference, and it was cool in a nostalgic way to go back to the days of "arcades", but I'm older now and have grown out of it. It does have a bar for the adults, which is good, but like I said,I'd rather be in the comfort of my home with a drink, playing

The people here help you get better at dapping up and talking to girls. Aaaaaand there's an alien.

If you love vintage arcade games of the 90s and early 2000s then Stop Button is your place! The bar is loaded and the staff courteous coupled with an easy calm atmosphere makes this a great kickback with friends or even solo!

I've been to Stop Button for a few occasions and I have enjoyed the experience each and every time. There are plenty of games to choose from that range everywhere from pinball and arcade to Nintendo and more recent gaming systems. The bar always tends to be a little busy but it's worth it. Needing something to munch on while you drink and pound someone in Smash Brothers? They sell fresh, theater style popcorn. Great for a night out with friends, fun date night activity, or if you're justing looking to blow

Stop Button is a conveniently located arcade with a fully stocked bar, smiling faces and low cost, all-day fun! I have spent many an evening there playing the many games they make available for a single door fee. It's like walking into a conventional arcade with infinite tokens. You feel like you're running cheat codes the moment you walk in the door. This place is definitely a hidden gem within the Fayetteville/Hope Mill area and can really scratch that old-school gaming itch when it arises. The crown jewe

The drinks are great, the games are fun, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere makes it the best bar ever

Awesome place but the weird door guy with the headphones on is a douche. Very rude and combative. Besides that 5 stars.

Great place! Great atmosphere! Great price. There is no need to lug quarters as this place offers free play. Just pay the cover, and you are good.

Literally one of the dopest spots in Fayetteville just off the vibe??

Nice place if you are into video games. Old school arcade games and console games also. Brings back memories ??????

Super cool environment. Games are of course close together but you feel like you're in your own environment. Workers are super friendly and there's a ton of games to choose from. Drinks are delicious and reasonably priced too. Can't believe we haven't been here sooner

Nice place to hang out, have a beer, and play some vintage games.

I like going here for the atmosphere and people and all, but I think you guys should have more music themed nights. That 90s night was insane, had sooo much fun and danced a lot. Everyone I know had a great time too. Again I love coming here and I have a lot of fun

My daughter introduced me to this fun place for both kids and adults. I love how it doesn't matter your age (I just turned 51) you can be yourself here and have a good time. Brandon the bartender is AWESOME after 1 visit he remembered what I love to drink and even made me drinks just from my own taste by asking "do you trust me?" I did and I can say he will not disappoint you ?? they have the classic games of course and some new ones that I never heard about but fun to try out. I highly recommend for every

My wife and I first visited. It was awesome. The vibes were great, karaoke was superb, and the drinks were awesome. We will be returning!

It's THE spot for millennials to relax and have a good time.

This is a great place to bring your family or a group of friends. There's a mix of old school and current games to choose from. After 9pm is where it's more of an adult atmosphere with the available bar. You pay a flat price, and then the games are all free, which I think is a great deal. I definitely would recommend it!

Everything about this place is absolutely amazing, in my opinion. From the concept to the price, the atmosphere to the game selection to the front desk help and to the bartender. This is an excellent arcade. One of the bests?

I had a really good time here. I brought my grandson for a birthday party and he had fun also. I don't know who had more fun, him or I! Will definitely return. It was a great price. And they have a bae. Dev the bartender was awesome and makes amazing drinks. I definitely recommend trying this place out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
