Station 49

Station 49

Reviews Summary

Station 49 offers fun family activities like mini golf, go-karts, and train rides, with many praising the clean facilities, friendly staff, and live music. However, multiple reviews highlight steep pricing, extra fees, and limited value for money, especially for larger groups. While some find it worth the cost for the experience, others feel attractions are overpriced or too brief. Mixed opinions on food prices and occasional service issues, but overall seen as enjoyable despite cost concerns.

Customer Reviews

First time out and we had a blast! The train ride really was awesome for the whole family. Those go karts zip around too! Great staff, clean facilities too. Definitely will be back!

This miniature golfing place was so much fun, beautiful scenery, fun statues cute water with windmill to golf through. I was also very surprised that in the back there was a live band playing with people dancing and eating and having fun. Of course there's also the mini racing cars driving around trying to beat the others . Would recommend . My father and I always go . This is a great place for Father?s Day or any occasion.

Fun, nice and clean but pricey, I mean really pricey! Burgers and dogs with no alcohol was $2 less than dinner at The Beach House with beer! Cash only arcade is a mistake! We had no cash but would have spent some more $$there! They do have an ATM but I don't do non-bank ATMs! Seemed like a fun Harley Ride destination!

First time here and it was really fun!! We came for cashed up (the Johnny Cash tribute band). The band was great, and Station 49 was the perfect rustic outdoor fun to sing and dance along. Canned alcoholic beverages and casual food are available. Seating is outdoor picnic tables with several fire pits or bring your own chair.

Quite pricy. $13usd gets you 4 min on the go carts. $16usd gets you a round of mini golf. The $100 deal with the bonus tokens got 4 teens 2 four min rides on go carts. That's $140 in Canadian for Canadian tourists.

Neat place to hang out with the kiddos ?? play mini golf, ride the train or drive a go cart round the track. Then grab a burger. They also have evening activities for adults.

Very nice , Children will enjoy driving cars and going on a trip.

Great place to bring the family.. Kids had a blast riding the go carts and playing miniature golf.. and the food was great and fast service.. great selection at the bar and also has live music on occasion.. all in all a great family destination for the day..

My parents grew up in Blaine, so we come out here at the least every summer. We always look forward to making some wonderful family memories here! It's definitely a good time and had my 6 year old son screaming best vacation ever on the go carts ??????

We had a blast!!! Kids & adults loved it! Mini golf is fun!! Mini train ?? ride is cute, little staged scenes throughout (here they do a Christmas theme), go karts F.U.N!!!

We looked this one up on google earth. I knew right away I wanted to play mini golf here. It was what I expected it to be. This is a 5/5 for a golfing experience. It's a 4/5 for being hard.

The Go Carts were really fun!! Pretty fast. That's all we did there but the place is super nice, the stage area looked great, there were picnic tables and fire pits all over the place, plus food and drinks available, I'd go back for sure!

Loved it. Enjoyed the music and the hamburger, and the blackberry lemonade was so delicious. Will definitely go again.

First time here and our family was very impressed! Incredibly clean, well maintained amusement center and all employees were very polite and friendly. They had limited selection on food but what we tried was delicious and their drink selection was impressive. It looks like they also have musicians and comedians play on weekends, we will definitely be back to see one of those and to play mini golf. This place is definitely a hidden treasure.

I haven't been to the go carts out here for about 15 years. I took my friend here for his birthday, we're seniors. It was just as fun, but there have definitely been some improvements. The new design is fun, it's clean, and the employees are pleasant. We had a lot of fun! I felt the food was a bit high priced, but it is on par with something you'd find at any attraction park elsewhere. There are a few less expensive options for under 10$. The go carts and minigolf prices seemed fair. They had a singer per

Great place to take the kids. Fun for the entire family. They have mini golf, go carts, train rides, arcade, and even a beer garden for the adults. Friendly staff.

The prices here are crazy. 2 people : $60 for eight minutes of Go-karting. Track is essentially just a little circle. Enjoyable for what it is. $40 for twenty minutes of mini-golf. The course was well designed and pretty fun overall. Customer service was great. Arcade seems pretty run down and extremely expensive all things considered. No live entertainment while we were there. Elected not to overpay for the food given better local options. Seems like these guys best days are behind them. . . Concl

In a world where all things fun are closed, Miniature world is a shining beacon of hope. We brought our grandkids age 7 & 10 as a birthday surprise and they both proclaimed "best birthday EVER!" and are already talking about coming again next year. Thank you Miniature World/Station 49 for giving the grands a day of normalcy and a break from the world around us!

Station 49 will go down in the books as one of the top places I've been to. The staff is extremely kind, friendly, helpful, and overall just amazing. Everyone had an amazing time enjoying all of the activities. The food was phenomenal, and I will be eating here regularly. Overall would give 10 stars if I could. Definitely would recommend to any family looking for a fun time.

My husband and I took our 5 grandchildren to Station 49 today. For each of us to play 1 round of mini golf, 1 little train ride and 1 time on the go karts it cost $275.00. My husband and I shared a bottle of pop. The kids bought their own drink. We had a good time listening to the band at 5:00 but with this cost and we heard a hamburger was $17 each, we couldn't afford to feed the kids on top of the amusement costs. I doubt we will ever go there again.

Had a great time playing mini golf, go Karting and enjoying a beer while listening to some great music. My family of 5 spent around $250 for a round of mini golf for 5, 11 go kart rentals, and 2 beers. The 3.5% fee for using my card is the reason this does not get 5 stars. For the price I paid, your merchant fees are a cost of business and shouldn't be passed on to customers, in my opinion. It is fun but bring cash.

We are from canada and my 9 year old Had tons of fun playing go kart and train ride. Staff are friendly. Some may complain the price is a bit up, but we don't mind to support local community businesses to stay a float. Will definitely return next year.

The mini golf was one of the best I've played. Well kept up, challenging and engaging. Grandkids enjoyed the go carts and train. I would definitely come again.

Great family venue. Most likely aren't aware of the stage and dining area behind the mini golf course. They have great live music on weekends and the food is really good as well.

Friendly staff and well maintained facilities. We went mini golfing and go karting with 15, 14 and 9 yr old kids. The golf was just the right amount of fun and challenging. Karts were fun, but the time was too short. There was a giant outdoor area with tables and a stage that blared country music. I think it was a touch overpriced and I wish there was the option to simply pay for the activities that you want instead of ticket packages that leave you with unused tickets.

Love this place!! Brings back the good old style family times!! 100% recommend

The mini golf has some difficult holes, but a full 18 of various challenges is fun.

Had a absolute blast here! Came with our family, two boys 6/8 and the grandparents. We raced the carts then golfed then raced again it was perfect. Nicest miniature golf we have ever played. Very clean and well maintained. The outdoor venue looked awesome too. Friendly staff 10/10 will be coming back 100%

This was a little surprise hidden in Birch Bay. We accidentally stumbled upon it and loved their mini golf course. Their 18 hole mini golf was a lot of fun. It is a fun little date idea. We stayed there for a little more than an hour. The toy train is for little kids. We did not do the train and go karts. But there were a lot of families having fun at go karts. Would definitely recommend the golf course.

My son and I both enjoyed the mini golf and the Go-Karts, staff was super friendly and helpful! Can't wait to try the new bar/eating area. ??

Best burger in Whatcom County! I've heard people say they like Doug?s Burger in Bellingham - I say Dale?s Burger (at Station 49) in Birch Bay is way better!! Double patty, freshly made, tasty sauce - big enough to share, but you won't want to. The fries are crisp, hot and perfectly salted. While you eat your great burger you can enjoy cold beverages in the outdoor saloon with live music on weekends and dance lesson?s during the week. I'll be back!!

I've been coming here regularly since 2014, and it has always been family friendly, fun, and clean. I really like how they used the Pandemic to expand their family owned business, rather than using it as an excuse to stay stagnant. If you visit you should: 1)Play the Mini Golf course, you won't regret it! 2)Go down to the new pavilion/bar area and catch live music, it is a great atmosphere. 3)Ride the mini train... I know what you're thinking, 'really?' Yes, it's a blast. There is so much to see back in the

The little train ride around the park was cute. It reminded me of a cross between Chuck Wagon in Mount Vernon and a run down old school Disneyland ride.

Fun bumper cars, miniature golf was busy, train ride was pretty nondescript, wooden sculptures were a bit creepy, prices seemed about normal for the activities. I saw a kid throw up, so I didn't try the food... Might be fine??. Overall, I would suggest going early, on a hot day and enjoying the golf and go-carts.

Small establishment, dated arcade, very simple loop track and the golf course is set up in a strange way. Extremely over priced for the attractions they offer. The train ride is for very small children. I think this place is best for the 2 to 3 year old range for children. My children are 8 and 9 and were not impressed one bit. The staff seemed to be very nice and welcoming but the guests that were there the day we went were extremely rude. Needless to say, we won't be back. This family fun center was defin

Great mini putt if a little challenging. Good food options. Love music as well. Did not do the trains or go karts but people seemed to be enjoying them. Friendly staff.

So expensive, surcharges on everything. Most of the arcade machines are out of order. Expect to pay $40 to $50 for a couple hot dogs, some sodas and a piece of pizza. Pay with cash to save a little. The go karts are fun, and the kids don't mind going on the train once, but next time we're in the area, we'll skip Station 49 and go to the waterslides where you can bring your own food. Men's toilet wouldn't flush, women's toilet overflowed while we were there. I respect the "Don't tread on me" vibe of this pl

My 9-year-old grandson was visiting from Texas we went to station 49 did the gold cards the mini golf and the train ride. at one point my grandson said we didn't get to finish the mimi golf. I thought the end was at hole 13. Before we left I asked if we could finish the course (18 holes). The young girl at the counter said "no". Once you turn the balls and mallet back in, you are done. No exceptions. After spending $105 there that day, I thought I would get better customer service. Very disappointe

Have visited this place 3 times in the last 3 weeks. Have had good customer service until tonight. Have spent well over $300 on tickets, food, and drinks. Me and my son love to go play miniature golf here, even though it is a bit pricey. We don't keep score, but just have fun, making sure we don't hold up anyone from passing us if they want. Tonight at hole 15, my son was thirsty, so we took a break and went to the store and bought 2 soda drinks for $8. Sat down, enjoyed them and chatted. Went back to hole

I love this place! I can't wait to attend future live music events. The property is well maintained and signage is very clear. I am happy to support a local business. Don't forget to take the train to see additional wood sculptures.

Love love love this place. So many times visiting birch bay and we've just drove right past. Doesn't really look like much but once you get past the parking lot it's amazing. We went twice on our last weekend in Birch Bay. Kids has so much fun..so did we! Definitely going back.

Great venue. A bit pricey.

Had loads of fun here playing mini-golf and listening to the live band. It's a really simple and rather straight forward course. I would highly recommend making up your own rules when it comes to putting the golf ball. Also, keeping score really just gets in the way of having fun. I will warn you- 1 bottle of water and a single slice of pizza was $10 USD. The place is worth going at least once for the mini-golf. I do wish Bellingham had some places like this.

My hubby and I had lots of fun playing the neat and clean mini golf. We enjoyed the live music at the country western stage. Lots of activities to do with kids from go karting, mini golf, train ride, and arcade. Great little amusement park!

My wife and I were a little unsure of this place, as it doesn't look that appealing from the the road. We took my mother and our 4 kids aged 3, 7,10, and 12 and did the pick 5, which was a good deal in comparison to paying for two individual items. We did 4 rounds of go-karts and one round of mini golf. The mini golf course was quite challenging and needs some maintenance, and the condition of the course alone probably warrants a 4 star rating. BUT the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which see

Great place to visit. Mini golf was fun and had a live band playing in the background while we were playing. Kids loved the go karts. Just needs longer ride times for go karts for the price. Still place was very clean and had alot of cool wood sculptors around the whole facility. Staff was friendly and nice.

This is a good fast stop for all ages. A bit pricey if you have a large family. So be prepared to spend over 100.00 to ride the go carts, ride the small train and play golf. It is family owned and friendly staff.

Amazing venue, go karts are so fun, air hockey is always a hoot, the staff is so friendly and welcoming and the attention to detail to make this spot a real awesome experience, definitely will be back !

Nice people, good prices, beside beverages. Over four dollars for a bottle of soda. These are probably the little price hikes that helps them keep running. You can can that there is alot of maintenance that has to be done.

Excellent kid-friendly fun! If you have younger children (under 12 or so), this is a great way to spend an afternoon. The prices were reasonable, the place was clean, and the staff were so friendly. We got the 5-attraction pack for adults and the kiddos. Everyone enjoyed it and we would go back!

First time going. The game room with arcade games and air hockey table was ok. 4 sodas costed almost $13. Miniature golf course was really neat but once more people came the course filled quickly and we felt very rushed. The go carts were fun, the kid running em was really polite and pleasant. The new girl at the counter and the lady I think is the manager were both very nice as well. There was live music and lots of people. I highly recommend sun block! Parking wasn't bad. Bathrooms were clean. Smoking onl

Horrible customer service with disabled or special needs individuals. Where do I start? Their website doesn't mention that they serve food or that outside food is not allowed. Only says they have snacks. One person from our group is disabled and cannot do stairs without physical consequences as well as needing to eat a special diet. When we arrived we rode the go carts and then went to the Pavillion are to eat food we had brought with us. Not knowing we were not allowed to bring food in. Once we were done

I have taken my kids to Station 49 every year we visit Birch Bay. I am very disappointed in their pricing this year. I paid for myself and three kids, and last year, we were all able to take at least one go-kart ride, two train rides, and one round of mini golf. This year, however, only myself and one of my kids were able to ride the go-karts, one train ride for all four, and one round of mini golf for the same price. Not worth it at all, which is so sad, because next year we will not go.

Good place to go if you have the time. Nice mini golf course.

I've driven past this place a number of times, and our always looked rinky-dink from the road. But I was pleasantly surprised, today, when a friend and I took our teenage boys for the day. The putt putt was fun, and the go karts were also. The track wasn't overly exciting, but still... Go karts. ?? The prices weren't outrageous. I think it was $35 for a wrist band that got you a combo of 5 turns between the putt putt and the karts. The park was very clean and well kept, and I was really impressed wit

My son had a BLAST on the go karts! We also had a very enjoyable round of mini golf we arrived at 5:59 and was able to do all of those activities and be done at 7:00pm right at closing. Such a great way to end a HOT day! :)

Honestly I expected the Santa Train to be pretty cheesey but I was really impressed with how much must have gone into creating this experience. Fun for kids of all ages, even my 18 month old loved it.

I like the set up and venue here. Even during the covid crisis, I was impressed by the facility. The front side restrooms are not all of that, but they function as needed. The mini course was fun and had a well laid out flow. I was impressed by the detail. I saw several worn carpet spots in 3 to 4 holes, but that will most likely be fixed this fall. The cart track looked fun, even though we did not try it this time around. The carts looked like they had a little giddy up so we will do that next time. There

The little kid's train ride is a bit of a joke. The kids wanted off about 4 minutes into it. The go carts and food were overpriced. The mini golf was okay but very crowded. I don't think we will go back. If they had an open playground fenced in for the kids where the train could ride around the perimeter fence, that would be quite amazing and I would pay to take kids there or to a splash park. Get on it mini world. Make me change my rating.

Absolutely loved this place. Prices were reasonable, was very clean, staff was so friendly, and my 3 year old loved the train rides and the go karts. We definitely want to go back for the mini golf course. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and had a great time.

Had a really great time with my boys for summer. It's a bit pricey for attractions and I wish they had a yearly pass. Otherwise super fun. Looking forward to attending some events here too!

The go kart is great. You can take your littles ones too as a co passenger. Very reasonably priced

We liked this family friendly spot so much we returned the next day. Immaculate, including the restrooms; Covid-related cleaning requirements amd social distancing measures were in place. The miniature golf course was challenging and creatively laid out. The picnic/bar area was well thought-out and meticulously maintained. Everyone was having fun, whether golfing or riding the go-carts or miniature train. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. What more could you want for a day's entertainment?

Pretty cool place. We mini golfed and go karted. Both were fun. One star off for the point system that makes you pay for a card and just inevitably leaves you with extra unusable points

Santa train is a pretty awesome display of lights!! A must do, if you like being festive?????

This is an extraordinarily nice place set in beautiful evergreens. It's spotlessly clean and maintained. There is a new area with a concrete dance floor, a stage and picnic tables all around. There are fire pits dotted around the tables and cornhole games. There's a snack bar that also serves beer, Mikes, and seltzers along with misc soft drinks. No wine, but hopefully that will be coming. Best part is the very friendly staff and owners. It's a very well-thought-out area that is rustic with so many

This place was so cool. I was on vacation with my husband and kids, my sister, her husband and kids and our dad. My dad told us his parents took him there back when he was a kid so it was really cool for him to watch the grandkids have fun. We did both the go-karts and the mini golf

Great music venue!! Will definitely be back.

It was so much fun! We rode Go karts. I went with my best friend, and my family and we did singles and doubles. We all liked them, pretty fast ( number 11 is the fastest) and I rode it 3 times the first time I discovered on Monday and Tuesday I rode it again before i left. Prices are 8.95 for single and 11.95 for a double and has a pack for 10 + 3 free for around $89.

pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Point system means they can have an excuse to overcharge you, and they way the set it up means you have extra points that you CANNOT USE!! I have been coming here every year since I was a child, probably won't be coming back. Sad because this tradition has died. Don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews, they are all from years ago when this place was good

OK I'll give this place 4 stars for the put put its a fairly cool course. They have go carts a miniature train and small arcade. Fun for the family. Me and the wife played the putt putt course while waiting for the hotel check in. We wasted over an hour having fun. If you like miniature golf than I definitely recommend this place

Really fun place! Great snacks & drinks selection, and the mini-golf course is awesome. The go-karts are fun, as well. The old west theme is very cool. You need to see this place!

So much fun. Redneck heaven! Mini golf course and go kart racing.

We purchased the pick 5 passes for our 2 boys ages 9 and 10. They wanted to ride the train for a turn and we were then told they couldn't ride it without an adult. So I had to go buy myself an additional ticket. We also tried to have the boys ride the go karts together in a double seat go kart. We were told the same thing there. They needed an adult. So I had to buy another additional ticket. We wish we were told all of that at the time of the wristband purchase. It cost us way more than we had originally t

Would not honour tokens purchased previously for train rides. Poorly managed business. We would have stayed and spent more money but left.

I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately this ace turned out to be overpriced and underwhelming. We spent more than $70 on for our two teenagers to have 5 rides each. They played mini golf for the majority and had to wait their turn behind the other groups. My elderly mother in law had a water bottle and some candies in the bottom of our diaper bag. When we gave the baby a few candies and my mother in law sat down for a drink, a staff member told us that we needed to put away our outside food and bev

What a perfect day....rode the train. Played mini golf (got a hole in one) and raced the go carts. Clean facility and lots of fun! We got the wrist band which allowed us to participate in 5 activities. A good time....

Hi guys haven't posted for awhile-apologies. I knew of this place earlier in the year but didn't really get to know it until recently. The unfortunate part of that is the venue is Seasonal, activities of which there are many are outside. There is go karting, miniature golf,a pool table, live music, line dancing & lessons, comedians, a bar, snacks, and at night fires for warmth and roasting marshmallows, truly a family fun center. Oh and dogs are allowed-they aren't allowed to play golf lol. The closure is coming

Ehh- totally not cracked up to what it portrays or markets. We went first week of June. Only 2 things to do there, miniature golf and go carts. For 3 people that cost over $55, wow! 2 games for 3 people for over $55 !!! Plus the train ride wasn't open so that sucked too. ( we knew this going in though ) Go carts ride was only 3 min, even without anyone else there . Definitely not worth it Biggest issue was the confusion on the packages! Please update the wording online on the packages!!!! Here's the

Great little family owned place. Kids had a very fun time. It was a bit pricey but worth it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
