We had our daughter?s birthday party here on this past Saturday. My daughter enjoyed herself. Honest feedback: 1. We were confused about where we should be going upon entering the building because there was no staff available at the front desk. When we initially made reservations over the phone, a representative told us to look for our daughter?s name on signage up front and a party host would take it from there. We walked around at least 10 minutes before finally finding a manager?no party host yet.
Fun for while family! Great birthday packages. Great adult beverage bar with many options! Friendly staff & the food was good. Chicken tenders! Pizza! Fries were so good & well cooked! The sauces were good too!! I had no complaints about the food and I always have a strong option in the food. The pizza dough was fluffy and delicious. The sauce didn't taste like regular lame ass bowling alley sauce and the tenders had good flavor. I really enjoyed myself!
We love this place. It's our summer go to spot. Staff are friendly. All the food we have tried had been good.
Fun for the whole family!! We went for the bowling, but all lanes were full .. and we still had a blast with the arcade, bumper cars and laser tag!!
Cool place, but the robot that brought our food cared more about helping us than any human there... no one brought us our drinks or helped us, even after we got a "manager" involved... had 3 interactions with employees there, and none of them could answer simple questions... we are having to wait 2 hours on lanes, which is understandable for a holiday, but I wish they would hire people that want to help their customers instead of ignore them. We won't be back.
Had my son?s 12th birthday party at Stars and Strikes and it was awesome! We had 15 kids and they all had the best time?bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, and the arcade kept them busy and happy the whole night. They all got a real kick out of the robot delivering the pizza. Our party host was super kind and helpful, and the rest of the staff were great too. Everything was organized and easy, which as a parent, is all I could ask for. Definitely one of the best birthday parties we've done. Highly recommend!
We went at opening to bowl. It took a bit for staff to be ready to give us a lane and then had to return because they didn't set it up with proper number of players or turn on bumpers. Trash from night before on lane table, dried up... potentially melted ice cream... along with a left cardigan and a baby rattle. Four staff members hanging out near tables, not seeming to have anything to do even though it was obvious that lanes needed attention before the start of the business day. Shame because facility
We did the unlimited bowl and games. We spent $180 for 6 people. However, the games were limited. You didn't get to play all the games. The games the kids wanted to play cost extra. Also, you had to do all of your bowling first. Once you left your lane, you couldn't go back. It was a joke. The food was expensive and didn't taste good. I will never go there again.
I usually have a good time, but this time we were told it would be a shorter wait if we did VIP. It was horrible. Nothing about it is VIP. Just a bunch of loud drunks. You still share the section unless you reserve both lanes. I had my two boys and we were paired with two drunk couples damn near having relations in the damn both. One of the staff members moved us and said that they would make sure not to pair us with anyone who was drinking. 30 mins into our hour came 10-12 teens who were paired with us and
Awesome bowling alley and arcade. Had the crispiest fried pickles of any place I've ever been to. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lanes and shoes were in excellent condition and they even have lanes that are led screens to bowl on.
Game area was fine. Facility and bathroom very clean. Trying to order food was not good. Once we placed order. It took over a hour and a half to receive only half our order. We had five kids that had pizza a chicken tenders that only tender and fries came out on the robot. It took forever to get a staff to assist us. Standing at the bar to get a server?s attention was ridiculous. Over all the staff was very nice considering they look very under staffed and every thing was blamed on the robot.,it took about
I was disappointed with how they explained their mess up, giving the children their free games. I paid for 2 games for myself as well as my daughter gets 2 free games with the kids' bowl for free program. My older daughter was only letting her girls do the bowl for free deal. We didn't receive that. They split my youngest child 2 free games with my oldest daughters 4 children. Now, 5 children split 2 free games, so they explained. But we didn't ask for this service. So, the children only bowled truthfully 1
Bryson at the front desk was very helpful. There's fun for all ages here. Bowling alley, bar, arcade, laser tag and bumper cars. We had a great time bowling and playing arcade games. It didn't take long for us to receive our food and everything we ordered was hot. Especially enjoyed the mozzarella sticks. Will definitely be returning.
The most spread out bowling alley i?ve ever seen! A great bar with high end liquors, and automated delivery CAT robots that bring your food to you, that if you pet their heads, they wink and purr! Highly recommend going if you haven't, everything was reasonably priced and if you hate crowded spaces, there is LOADS of wide open space to lounge away from the alley!
If I could give more stars, I would. We just had our daughter's birthday party and I couldn't say more wonderful things about Stars and Strikes! The entire party was incredible. The service, the amenities, the food was 100%. I would absolutely recommend Stars and Strikes to anyone looking for a party location or just for a fun activity. I want to specifically thank our hosts, and the manager Esther who made sure our visit and party went off without a hitch and all needs were met. Thank you all so much!
It was awfully crowded when I visited it. Since I didn't get a chance to order as there were at least 2 parties and the bowling alleys were full, the jury's out on this one. Will update my review until next time I visit. For now, 3 out of 5 stars. Not bad, but I can't determine if the place is good yet.
Staff were all friendly in spite of the noise and chaos of kids enjoying summer break. It was crowded and could have been staffed better because some areas did not have an attendant available. Also, the family bathroom smelled horribly. The Vitual Reality masks had no sanitation wipes available. But all other areas appeared clean.
I can not stress enough how great of an experience my friends and family had at Stars and Strikes! Everything was flawless, including but not limited to the arcade, bar area, bowling, bumper cars, and Lazer Tag! But I must say, all the amenities could not have been so great without the great staff in place ensuring everyone had a great time! My group of 9 arrived for the Lazer Tag tournament yesterday and couldn't have had more of a blast! The Lazer Tag arena was great with a 2 story area to play on and mat
tl;dr: Don't order food unless you want to be disappointed by it's quality and the staff that comes along with it. Play your games and go eat elsewhere. Not sure if it's been a long day for the staff or what's the source of the problem, but their service was terrible. I elected to order and pick up food versus robot delivery. When the food came to the bar, I was told to remove and carry the hot trays to my table instead of using the large tray that all the food was sitting on. The burger was not a smash bu
I don't even know where to start but if you're bored and wanna go have fun with friends/family ?JUST DO IT? as Nike would say.
If you like loud this place is for you. I'd you like bowling lanes that make you stop in your tracks, risking injury, this place is for you. The bathroom was clean other than a full trash can that needed empties. The sinks faucets are good of you like using one hand (I don't). I will not be back anytime soon.
We had a great time in the arcade and bowling areas! The food was ok and well priced. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Yes recommend this family-friendly space!
If I could give this place a negative zero I would. Took my son here to go bowling, in hopes of him enjoying himself. However, the customer service suck! I'm guessing because everyone was just standing around gossiping including the manager on duty that evening. Workers enjoying themselves to bowling while on the clock which is probably another reason they couldn't take care of the customers properly. Spoke to the manager on duty about what happened she didn't even seem to care at all. Just know I would n
Best birthday party experience! Our host was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was relaxed & perfect! My son & all the children who joined us, all had endless smiles on their faces & we're happy all the way through! I couldn't have picked a better place to have my son?s party! Also a huge thank you to our host, Sani?a who has the best hospitality, a patient & caring attitude, & she was quick to get everything we needed!
We attended a birthday party for my son?s friend. Our party host was amazing! I couldn't find the manager to tell her, but Q is a rockstar! He is polite, well mannered, and was very attentive the whole time. Great job, young man!
Ashlyn Noah Kalton Robert and Ted Were The Best My Mother Enjoyed her Birthday Festivities for her Birthday.
Expensive birthday party but definitely a fun one. Gave a 4 out of 5 because of pricing. There is ALOT to do however, arcade, bumper cars, bowling, laser tag, and much more. The person there who is helping run the show was also very helpful with keeping everything on track, time wise.
I visited this location on July 14. I was sitting at a table waiting for members of a larger group. Jenna the server came to ask if I needed assistance, mins later she came back and took our order. I ordered tater tots and a drink. The robot brought the tater tots i ordered. I had to go to the bar to ask for napkins. Then my table mate ordered a burger while I was waiting on my drink. After the burger came out I went to the bar to ask about my drink. Jenna and Kinnley said it was on the way. I then again
Went for the first time tonight. Food was not good, but its okay. Had a great time until I checked my bank account and saw one of the bartenders helped themselves to a larger tip than I left.
This place IS SO COOL! I went twice with my band and once alone, and it is such a chill place, and people are so nice. (Don't mind the names they are me and my band group's nicknames)
This place could be great if they didn't have staffing shortage and bowling alley maintenance problems. You pay a lot of money for any of the lanes and for VIP you're supposed to get a server. (They said they didn't have any servers that day. They didn't have a bartender either, she was checking people in.) We had to walk around a while to find someone to get drinks from anytime we needed one, and our lane malfunctioned with not resetting pins or getting the balls back to the holder 3 times. It's not worth
Took my youth group here! It was awesome. Great service, great price, perfectly timed entertainment. We will come again.
Visited this place for my son's Basketball banquet. While the team enjoyed themselves, Dad was at the Bar! I had the nacho platter with chicken. It was very delicious!
Tried again today after not a good experience for a Christmas party in December. Same situation. Food took forever and then was 1/4 portion of the fries. Some food was wrong. When asked about it they said that's what they serve, but my husband literally got a meal with me that was 3 times the amount of fries I received. Terrible service and don't care about fixing it
I came to the store with my little girl and she had a ball with her friends. Ismail and Lexi were great!
Always a great time out with the family. Love their unlimited Tuesday special with the laser tag add on. The kids bowl free was an amazing experience and a great program that made our day even more affordable. Great program and available all summer!
One of the options to host b'day party. They have a hall which can be partitioned based on requirements. A host is assigned for navigation through the games during the party. There are lots of arcade games. Some are exciting. The rest are just pretty ordinary. They have neon bowling alleys too which are fun. Have a sports bar too. You can order food and drinks. There is a cool robot that will bring food to your table. Quite exciting!?!!
Bravo to this location! I love bringing my son and his friends out to bowl at the Irmo Stars and Strikes! If there are ever ANY questions or concerns during our time here the manager Esther shows up above and beyond the call of duty. I love coming here and so do the kids.
Enjoyed an office party at the Irmo location. The whole team had a great time due to the staff making sure everything was perfect from the food to the atmosphere. Ester and Anastasia took great care of us! I will definitely be back with family and my work team.
Was here for the bowling, not the food. For starters it opened late and was unprepared. Was moved twice due to lanes having mechanical/machine failures. Pins were not scoring, pins were getting stuck, pins were not resetting when they should, and balls were not returning. Can't get on a roll and can't enjoy self when games get freezing and the lane keeps going dark. Our third time being here and should have learned lesson the first two times that I got burned like this. $50 for hr (4 folks) is not wort
Better be going for bowling and arcade because the food and the service ain?t it! Went to kiosk and ordered food, waited 30 minutes for food, no big deal. No drinks or silverware to be found, we had to wait several minutes at the bar to track that down along with napkins. Food finally came and the burger was still raw along with the pretzel. So, we go back to the bar and wait to turn our food in and then wait another 20 minutes for new food. Our food comes back and the new burger was not correct again. Whil
Went early on a Saturday to beat the crowd and it was a great idea. So many games to choose from. $2 activation per game card is nuts when you have to have the card and you have a family of 5 so another $10 on fees. Bowling is over priced compared to a normal bowling alley and wait was too long. Laser tag was fantastic as we had the while arena to ourselves.
Our event manager Esther was everything. Very attentive and professional. Was also very knowledgeable about services and party preparation as well as providing excellent guidance and management to her staff. Thanks for everything Esther. A true asset to the company.
Food was good but many of the arcade games were defective. Some of the broken games weren't even roped off so credits were spent that we couldn't get back because none of the staff could find the appropriate person (management?) to refund. Overall it was okay but I'll probably just go to Dave and Busters or Frankie?s next time.
Very fun for the entire family. The downside is u will wait forever for a table to eat. They dont have many servers. You order your food from a kiosk and a robot machine brings it out to you.
This is the second time me and my family attempted to patronize this place, and will most likely be the last. The first time we came was about a year ago, and we were told there would be a 2 - 3 hour wait to get a lane. Needless to say we left. Tonight we gave them a second chance, and the only difference is they lied this time about how long the wait would be. We were told that there was a 30 minute wait, but because less than half of the lanes were being used we thought it might be faster. We were wrong.
Amazing experience with my family. Shay was very helpful and always making sure we were doing well during the whole visit. I will definitely be coming back with others in the future.
This is absolutely the best bowling place in the Columbia area. The event manager, Esther is by far the best! Mickey and Stadia hosted the event and they were awesome The ICRC Holiday party was Fantabulous and this is the best place to go for companies and families! This is the best bowling place better than Anchor Lanes and all of the others put together!!!!! You have to come on by! Anyone who knows me, knows I do not do Google reviews unless it is exceptionally good or bad! This was by far the best exp
This was a hit with the kids pizza was good slurppies were good and games were fun. Bathroom were clean. Everything is accessible for wheelchairs.
I came from out of town to help a friend celebrate their birthday. The two servers Alexis and Kayla were very rude and unprofessional. They only served one side of the bar for 2 hours straight and not once asked any customer sitting on the other side of the bar if they needed any food or drinks. They need training on how to be more friendly and to work both sides of the bar. I do not recommend sitting at the bar when they are working.
Worst experience ever at the bar tonight. Food sat for 10 min in our faces until someone finally came and we had to ask for our food. And they really wanted us to still pay for our food. Said she could only get us more food, we waited 30 min for wings. The ladies at the bar never asked if we wanted another drink or anything....
Paid $88 for 4 adult 21+ family members to bowl for 90-min. This included a whopping $15 reservation fee despite also pre-paying for the lane. On arrival we were assigned lane 5 for our ?reservation? which constantly malfunctioned knocking pins over during pick up and set up or miscounted pins altogether for at least one of us in every frame. Lane 3&4 next to us had their ball return malfunction twice for over ten minutes each time stopping all their play. Most of the available balls at the 7-10 lbs ran
My daughter and I waited almost an hour for our food, and I ended up having to get it myself. We were sitting in the dining area, and not once did one of the multiple employees that walked past even speak to us. There was food and trash on the floor, and most of the tables and the floor had a layer of grease on it to the point where my foot would slide while we were sitting. The mustard bottle on the table was almost a year past date, and all the condiments had a layer of grime on them. We were put on a wai
TOOOO MANY PARTIES SCHEDULED NEXT AVALIBLE TIME WAS 8PM Last Saturday my friends and I went with our kids to enjoy some bowling, arcade and laser tag. I spoke so well about this place but of course when I get there to get the package I've always gotten the girl behind the counter says that nothing is available until 8pm because of parties are taking too much room. So a place that you are able to just walk into to bowl and etc. you cant anymore. The excuse was because its mothers day weekend..... or MAYBE IT
PREDATORY! One hour of bowling for 2 people (2 games) was almost $100. They pushed VIP on my 14 year old saying that there will be over an hour wait for the regular lane. There was not an hour wait for the regular lane, when I came in there were plenty of empty lanes. I used to bring all my sports team (soccer, basketball, football, and cheerleading) here for team building and end of year parties (although the food is always disappointing we choose to go because of the location) but I am unable to step foot
Great place for family and friends. Especially for kids. Bowling is good, laser tag is good, arcade is good. Food is nice. ???? Only one problem is for arcade games they are charging more credits even for small games? otherwise it's good place.
We love this place for family fun! The staff are awesome, and there are so many fun ways to spend quality time together! Thank you - keep up the good work.
Such a fun and clean place to take kids, especially big groups. Our homeschool group went today, and everyone had an absolute blast! The staff is so kind and helpful too.
They are awesome! Especially Jeleana. She always goes out of her way to make sure you are having the best time! ?? Great games and food. Check out AR bowling and laser tag!
This was a good family place. Lots of options for fun. We did the 20 (approximate) per person. We played games for 90 minutes, bowled for 90 minutes, a laser tag session and bumper cars(not to mention drinks). The video games were fun. The bowling was the right amount of time. Not crowded. I vote thumbs up.
Fun, wonderful for kids, clean, fast service.
We had a great time in the arcade and bowling areas! The food was yummy and well priced. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Esther for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and explain all of the amenities. Highly recommend this family-friendly space!
Esther and Zion were very helpful! They accommodated the needs our party guests. Everyone had a great time!
My experience was 2 to 3 stars, because we were there for 4 hours, and, the entire time, the building felt every bit of 80 degrees with no air circulation. Very hot and stuffy even when it was 50 degrees outside. At least 10 of us had visible sweat on our faces the entire time. The other reason for 3 stars is the place was incredibly understaffed. The employees did what they could but there just wasn't enough of them so people had to wait a crazy long time for drinks or service of any sort. The place has po
Went to the Irmo Sc location help some friends celebrate their birthday we had the hardest time getting a bartender to our side of the bar. We noticed another group return their nachos and should have taken that for a sign. We finally got the bartenders attention because they were only fixing drinks on and attentive to one side finally placed a drink order and got them, shortly after we order wings and fries they came out after about 25 mins the bartender took them off the robotic tray and placed them on th
We had a blast at my sons 5th birthday arcade party! It was so nice to not have to worry about cleaning, planning, and entertainment. The pizza was over cooked, but they definitely made it up to us and refunded us for all the pizza without me even having to ask! Ester was wonderful, and I think our servers name was Chloe and she was amazing! Definitely worth every penny!
Cierra, Kayla, Malachi & Esther provided top tier service! We had a great time at our company outing!
This was a celebration for my grandson. The food was hot and fresh!!! Even though the server was over worked she stayed professional and knowledgeable and very helpful with kids.
Apparently this whole entire location is closed for a private event and no where online does it say this?!? Drove here for my daughter?s 4th birthday and what a complete disaster! Thanks a lot .. Taking my daughter to a Chuck E Cheese instead and I won't be back here for any future family outings.
Great place for kids or to be a kid again. The service lacked at the bar but overall service was good.
Was ALOT of fun. Rating it at a 4 because to get on the bumper card or to do the laser tag took a long time because the poor girl operating them had to bounce back and forth between stations. Laser Tag tho.. was absolutely amazing. Me, my husband and my mom all joined in on the fun too. We went on a Tuesday & got a special unlimited pass for around $20 each. The only thing is you couldn't win tickets with the unlimited cards.
Go for the ?Spark VIP ?. The lanes are awesome, with really cool lights. Love the privacy between lanes. The server brings dinks and food to you. The adult drink menu was great. With plenty of beer and mixed drink options. We did a girls night out and played against each other for team bowling! Made it so much fun! Booking the lanes in advance online made check in a breeze and no wait!! Of course the lazer tag was the icing on the cake. Great two level room to play in! So much fun!!
To start off there's plenty of parking but on a busy night it's slim to no on the parking spots. You may or may not have to wait for a lane. Everything is on the pricer side. The bar tender she was slow. It's kid friendly. They have arcade games and decent music. Oh the guy at the desk was pretty cool. Our last game took a few minutes longer than expected and the guy allowed us to finish out our last 3 frames.
Ms.Esther (aka MS.S) and Kayla Rock we love them and always have so much fun .the kids beg to come ..thanks so much ..extra bonus is food and drinks are great aswel
Great food and atmosphere. Fillls up fast, so if u wanna bowl extra I'd decide that before paying because if it's a wait list you HAVE to bowl your time then clear the lane completely and the tables behind there... bt fun time
Nice bowling alley located in Irmo, SC conveniently close to I-26. Location has a huge arcade with all types of games. Laser Tag, full kitchen and Bar. I like how they have regular bowling lanes and VIP bowling lanes (additional costs) where the lanes are curtained off for more privacy. Ordering food via the machine or app get you up close and personal with an automated cat delivery machine. Overall had a fun time.
Nice place, fun, lots of stimuli. I prefer a standard bowling center because of my ADHD. Oh, look, a bunny... It was a good experience overall.
Had a blast with my fiance here. Lots of different activities to do. Would be great for group events
We used Stars and Strikes for a team building time with our staff. We rented out 4 VIP Lanes and had an absolutely amazing time. The food was good, the games were great, the price was fair. Everyone that went had a blast. We will absolutely consider this in the future
The overall level of fun for children here is obviously pretty high. Fun atmosphere and great wings!! However, for my nieces and I first time visiting this location in Irmo, S.C., the employees at the bar area were very rude and aggressive! I asked a simple question as to if they carry change (since the entire building does not deal with cash anymore and I was obviously unaware of with it being my first time there). Asking the bartender one simple question EVENTUALLY ended with her threatening me! After run
We hosted our 9 year old?s birthday party here in November. Events Assistant Manager, Esther, and our host, Ciara were great! Esther called a few days before the party to see how she could support and happily jumped in to support the day of as well. Ciara was very patient and warm for the duration of our party. The kids had a blasts and the adults enjoyed watching the football while the kiddos played. I'm so glad that we had our son?s party here.
Lexi the bartender was amazing tonight! Got my drinks out quickly and was super polite and nice! I'll definitely be back soon:)
We decided to have a family night. So we heard about this place and finally decided to give it a chance..it had a frankie fun spot feel. Except everything is on the I side. There is regular bowling and VIP bowling. Video games. A small area for bumper cars... and laser tag..there is a bar area for adults and they have food. In my opinion the food is super pricey. It wasnt bad though. Taste was decent. But not for what was paid... in my opinion.. they had a few issues with a few lanes as far as the bumpers
Hayden was a wonderful team worker and had a happy smile on his face the whole time doing so!!! We seen him cleaning the restrooms with a big ol smile on his face and later on as he cleaned the bowling Isles he continued to have a big smile on his face which caught our attention once again! He was such a happy spirit and a pleasure to talk to and be around!! Thank you Hayden for being a great person!!!!! Keep up the great work
I had so much fun here with my daughter and nephew. I was a child all over again and I'm 38. The games were entertaining and I fell in love with bowling. Let's not forgot about the food here. The pizza and wings are to die for!
Had my daughter's birthday party there, it was alright. The games and attractions are great the decor for the party was lacking. Otherwise a good place for family fun
So much fun! Great team and great service. Amazing specials all week, too! Definitely plan on having my child's birthday party here.
Tons of fun! We always have a great time. Thank you for participating in the "Kids Bowl for Free" summer program. It gives us lots of fun family time.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
