Starlite Family Fun Center of Sharpsburg

Reviews Summary

Starlite receives mixed reviews, with many praising its fun atmosphere, variety of activities (skating, laser tag, arcade), and helpful staff, particularly for birthday parties. Positive experiences highlight good music, clean facilities, and attentive management. However, criticisms focus on high prices, extra fees for rentals or upgrades, slow food service, and inconsistent customer service. Some report issues with overcrowding, unruly behavior on the skate floor, and poor restroom cleanliness. While families often enjoy their visits, pricing and management inconsistencies frustrate others.

Customer Reviews

Went today for Toddler Time - my kids enjoyed themselves, the music and light shows were cool, and the graffiti art in the whole facility was really well done. The young man who rang us up was polite. I did notice that the huge stuffed animals they have hanging around are filthy - they need to be taken down and washed regularly. The arcade had some interesting games - we didn't play as we were there to skate and play in the jungle gym area, but I did notice how expensive things were. The number one thing

The kids had a great time! Everything for their 5th grade social was well planned even down to lunch going smoothly. They even got to do laser tag and games. Highly recommend doing a party or event here. Staff was also very friendly and organized.

We live in Douglasville. We have to drive about 45 min to most of the rinks. We choose to come here because we haven't been to the location in a long time. Trisha, the lady who greeted us, was super nice & helpful. The music was clean and an amazing playlist.

I took my 6 year old grandson for a Friday night school skate... He had a lot of fun, mainly because he is already a good skater. But, be ready because they have a large game "room" that is a money pit. It's fun, but expensive. Food service is expensive and VERY slow, so order early and be patient.

Went here for a birthday party. It was fun, however, the character in pink was not good. They just kinda stood there. I thought that they should move or dance or something. So I would say not worth the money. The laser tag and skating was great.

Had the best time. Staff is extremely friendly especially Jennifer and Christina. We will definitely be back! The kids had a blast!!

We had a "Spirit Night" for our elementary school at Starlite on Friday night. I can't say enough about how great the experience was. The kids had a ball; the facility was clean and bright, the staff were all so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Starlite for a family night or a school spirit night.

Too expensive for two children! Wednesday specials paid for two admissions, one skate rental, and two skate trainers resulting in a total of $34 on Wednesday! Definitely, not a cheapskate for two children.

We came for the 5th grade social that Willis Road Elementary put on. Everything went great, and the staff was so helpful! We cannot wait to come back and skate again!

Wow... and not in a good way. It was overpriced for a smelly dirty place. Went went, and they first opened up. There were no excuses for dirty bathrooms and dirty tables. The tiny arcade they had was all about tickets and nothing to just play. The laser tag room was so hot that we had to leave so we could breathe. Saw mold and filthy all over the place. The young man who helped was very nice but was doing that and skate rentals. I guess if you like skating, maybe everything else is just dirty. For the price

We took our Youth here and it was just the best experience! They skated their hearts out! From check in to skate rental to the end it was great. The staff was incredible nice and helpful especially getting our big group accommodated. Highly recommend for any fun events! We'll be back!

We had a great experience for my son?s 5th grade social! Such a great idea for school events!

My kid's school just hosted an end of the year party here! Everyone was professional and the kids had a blast!

Too expensive! They charge separate for things. It's a money pit! We went to urban air instead. Better pricing.

Recently had a birthday party. Megan was an excellent host. Very attentive. The children enjoyed skating, laser tag, and the playground area. Easy party! Thanks!

We stopping coming for a couple of year and now they have a great team with a fun atmosphere. The kids ready enjoy the race.

Our kids always have fun at Starlite. The facilities are always good. The snack bar has pretty good food. Kids like to play laser tag. There's enough tables there to relax if you don't want to skate. Bathrooms are clean. The staff is always nice.

This place was awesome. Booked a VIP glow party for my daughter's birthday. The hostess, courtney, (i believe) was kind and made every effort to make this a great party for my daughter. the prices were fair considering the fun and enjoyable time we all had. Would recommend for anyone to book a party here for their child! Thanks starlite!

A great place for family fun. Good fun positive atmosphere for kids of all ages. Unlimited skating and Lazer tag for $15 on Thursdays. They also have a arcade section of a decent size. They have party rooms available if you want to plan your kids birthday or just party in general. Food and soda is available. The store on a clean sale of 1 to 10 is a 7. I would recommend this for people who shop on a budget aswell as those who do not need one.

School is out, and I had no idea what to do for some family fun. Sarlite family fun says it all. There is skating, laser tag, and a playground to keep the kids busy. There was a great special unlimited everything for only $15. Kids are happy, I'm happy, and the wallet is even happier.

All the employees are kind and the rink is well maintained. The bathrooms are usually gross though so enter at your own risk

My balance is terrible and like I need one of those walkers that old people use when I'm there. I probably need a balance tutor to help me with my balance.

I have to say that when we brought the children from the Boys and Girls Club of Newnan last evening, we had excellent customer service. Christie Goodman, the manager, treated our group with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. The food was great!!

The manager there she had a very snarky attitude towards us after speaking nicely with her about an issue

My family enjoyed themselves here. However I understand a company needs to make money but I was surprised to see a ?facility fee? on my receipts. I don't understand the purpose of this? Just be prepared to pay for every single thing. Oh and don't expect to get free water? We purchased food and drinks but after much playing the kids wanted a little water and staff said it was against their policy. I think this should be changed unless they want ppl to bring in their own water. Forget about their purchasable

We brought a group of young people for the Friday $16 special. The place was not crowded for a Friday night. The special included unlimited soda drinks, pizza, skating, and laser tag. Jaylen made sure everyone knew the laser tag rules and abide by them. We had a great time. Would bring the group again. ;0)

I took my 5 year old for the first time. He loved it. Michael, the young man at the register was great and very helpful. He interacted with my grandson and made sure he was having a great time ??. The only thing I suggest is more guidance in the play area. My 5 year old is 45in and the big sign they have States less than 48in or less than 10 years old. Those were some mighty big kids sitting at the top of the slide pushing the little ones down it, causing mine to have a busted nose?? or laying across the sl

Sharpsburg, GA We had a great time! We came after the afternoon rush; which was perfect for us. Our kiddos enjoy being able to skate without the big crowd on the floor. If you love to skate, 90s music and just the traditional skating rink feel then this is the place for you.

Excellent customer by Patricia to secure my grandson?s birthday party after I had trouble getting online. She was very pleasant and patient? very knowledgeable and efficient. She got us booked in no time! Thanks Patricia! Can't wait to celebrate!

My husband and I took some of our children and grand-children for a night of Family fun (8 of us) enjoyed ourselves!!! The venue, the food, the price, the music, and the atmosphere was simply amazing! A special thank you to the Manager (Patricia), she served us in the spirit of excellence and with integrity. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had all we needed to ensure a night to remember for our loved ones. We will certainly not only come back but rent the entire rink for future Fa

Its was alright. Really really outdated. Also the only skating place for like 90miles. Really only for kids 16 and under. But it was still fun.

Management needs to have better control of the flow and situations throughout the night, no matter the week night. Older teenagers being bullies and physically, purposefully doing acts to other kids to hurt them, is not good business, professional nor ethical. Fosstering & accepting this type of behavior in your venue is not good business for a "family friendly" place.

Please educate and advice staff to be more strict about having toy like items on the rink while small children are skating. Teenagers throwing a ball to each other on the rink is dangerous for everyone skating. Nov 25, 2024. 3:40 pm.

Worst experience ever. Brought my daughter here for her birthday to enjoy all the things this place offers just to have her shoes stolen while she was skating. Spoke with management for a refund and was told they don't do refunds and they're not responsible. After expressing my frustration and being told they had to talk there manager had police called on me for trespassing. My daughter will never forget this moment.

Very fun love the place cost a bit but it's worth it

We had a great time with our toddler Grandson even though he was too young for skating rink and many arcade games. He loved the indoor playground and spent the bulk of our time there. We also enjoyed a few arcade games with him. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will bring our Grandson again, and he will be able to enjoy more activities as he grows. Great family place.

10/10 experience!!! I have been getting back into skating for the 1st time in 4 yrs and it's been amazing. I have been taking lessons here with Trinity, he has great knowledge on skating and a great teacher! If you're wanting to learn just ask for Trinity when you come :)

I can't speak on the entire experience as we came for a school field trip. What I can say is the food was awful and that's one of the nostalgic parts of skating rinks, the concession foods especially nachos. They were disgusting ?? So little flavor the cheese sauce was white. The pizza was ??. That alone makes me not want to come back.

I am a 5th grade teacher at Poplar Road and we took our grade level for a great STEM activity. I love how they keep the Stem activity quick and simple and just let the kids have a great time and skate. Their packages were very affordable and the students had a place. Ember and her time were super accommodating. Overall it was great experience!

Patricia and Kendra were nothing short of fantastic at customer service! They went above and beyond to make sure our daughter had the best experience and birthday ever! I couldn't have done this without their help and advice! If your look for a great atmosphere with the best customer service, this is it!

Took my sister here for a great time on Saturday, someone stole her shoes while we were skating , she had to leave with no shoes. Very bad experience

They charge a $20 admission fee even if the kids don't skate and only want to play in the arcade. Bought a $30 arcade card and they still wanted an admission fee for a 6 year old. WONT EVER BE BACK. Rip off

We had a great experience tonight! Mary, Jerrell and the manager Kendra were so kind and helpful. Really, the whole staff made this worth the money because the kids had a blast!!! We will be back

Kendra and Patricia were absolutely amazing! They were so kind and helpful and answered all of our questions. They lead us step by step and made the process so smooth. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to book a birthday party. We can't wait to come back!

My family were greeted with racial slurs. Stay far away from this location if you are any shade close to my African American family. You may want to go somewhere else. The owners evidently support this racism because my husband and I reached out to them and we got crickets. Not a phone call or email. Not a line of remorse or sympathetic word from them. Don't go my fellow black people.

It was fun. I was supposed to get 1/2 off with my coupon. They charged me full price.

Worst place and staff is careless Rude , not kid friendly and very dirty restrooms. Should be closed

This is a great place for the family. There is a great roller rink, lazer tag, arcade and play place. You can order food and snacks also. Thid is an inexpensive way to keep everyone entertained for hours.

My daughter?s bday party today was awesome! The facility was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The music was a vibe. The manager Mr. Clayton is doing an excellent job. Our host was great and attentive. I can't remember her name. Awesome job guys!!!

We took our middle schoolers to Starlight for a STEM trip, and they had so much fun! After their fun and interactive STEM lesson, they had lunch, skated, and played laser tag. We will definitely bring our students back for this STEM trip! The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and everything was fun, smooth, and organized! Thanks!

We had a very good time. The ambience is welcoming and staff friendly. There are many games available to engage the attention of patrons. For those who skate, the large spacious ring allows unhindered enjoyment. I really love the experience and gladly recommend it to others seeking weekend family outing and fun.

I was very impressed with the manager Patricia Matias. She was very polite and professional. She made sure our group enjoyed our visit from the young to the old. When some of the children in our group started horse playing around she immediately redirected them. Great job Ms. Patrica Matias for looking out for the safety of everyone. The kids had a Blast! We felt safe and secure during our visit. Wonderful place for hours of family fun. We will be returning!

Went here for a birthday party & it was horrible. The manager Patricia is so horrendously rude. The workers gave us wristbands to skate and then they were taken away from us. Even though we were only allowed two adults to skate per party, we were still given the wristbands. I wasn't allowed to ?leave the building? because I was not old enough. I'm 19. The host for the birthday party was literally non-existent & only came around to tell us we had to clean up and leave the party area. Half the staff has zero

I've been to multiple skating rinks all throughout GA and this starlight is by far the best! From the Friendly staff, to the Perfect music, I never have to worry if I'm going to have a good time. Thank you to everyone who works at the Starlight in Newnan, you guys Rock!

My daughter, Marah, has attended Starlight?s Skating Camp for three years in a row now. This makes year four. Having a gluten/wheat allergy makes going to camp tough, but here, the counselors are very sensitive to her dietary needs and she eats her snacks and meals packed from home, but at times is given special treats that are gluten-free for her from the staff. She loves the socialization with kids her age as well as the variety of activities both fun and educational that have been well planned for the ki

I went with my family tonight, and everything was fun and fine until they started letting kids just do whatever they wanted on the skate floor. They were running around, going the wrong way, stopping in front of people on purpose knocking over literally everyone and my ankle got kicked a few times. If you want to come here to actually skate, I would not recommend. Management, there is nothing wrong with asking people over the intercom to skate in one direction and for parents to watch their kids.

Great time! Rental skates are pretty new, which is nice. Little pricey but we all had a blast!

Absolutely Amazing!!! So many things to do, Awesome selection of items to purchase, kind and helpful staff, top of the line arcade!! Very organized! This place takes care of everything you need!!

This place is money pit and they don't accept cash. I paid for both of my kids to got rollarskating with their friends. After a half hour or so of rollarskating the group decided that they wanted to play lazer tag. At this point I wasn't in the building but one of their friends offered to pay with their card. One of the employees told them to go up front and pay for the upgrade that included lazer tag. When they went up to pay the extra money the person up front said that they would charge them fullprice ag

Evans Trinity staff member was exceptional with his product knowledge and exhibited stellar customer service. His knowledge for roller skating specifically asked questions were answered and explained concisely. His patience and particulars to details really and servicing customers was awesome. He is an asset to the company in every aspect of the word. Amber, Kendra, Jenson, Kailey and Shawn were all accommodating. As the Managers, Front Counter Assistants, and Skate Shop Assistant they all were pleasant a

We had a great time at Adult 80's night. Wish they would have one more often.

Megan, Mary and Kendra are mf awesome the best staff I wish I was lucky enough to have them on my crew. Starlite family fun center is the place to be with your kids. They definitely deserve a raise!!!!!!!!!

This is probably the most expensive skating rink I've been to in years. It's $20 per person not including skate rental. Skate rental is an additional $6.95. So coming in the door, me and one child were already at over $50. I ordered nachos with jalape?os from the cafe and that was $6 for 1 small bag of nachos and cheese, extra 75 cent for jalape?os . But the worst part is the skate trainer rental policy. The skate trainers that most kids need to skate are $6.95 a hour! Those should be included with admissio

We Had a birthday Party today and my kids truly enjoyed it ! Not sure why we have to pay an additional 6.41 on rentals after paying almost $400 on a party i feel like the rental walker should be included ! But overall a good experience! We wanted to point out the manager Name Tea (i think that's on her name tag ) that checked on us and stepped in to help the other manager (who was being very difficult handling situations cause she kept calling her to help us for her for some issues today with our family.

I love bring my daughters up here. The staff is very friendly and fun. The manager walks around and checks on you ( which I feel is great Customer service) it's always clean. The music is a nice mixture for all age groups. This is my favorite place to bring my family! Thank you for having a great place to enjoy!

I took my nephew Saturday and we had so much fun. The music playlist that the manager, Patricia played was Awesome! My 6 year old nephew said man they're playing good music now. Shout out to Patricia again, you rock, keep up the Great work!????

Editing my review. The new manager is very friendly and cares about his business. The other gentleman I encountered there, not so much so. I had some experiences there aside from that which I didn't care too much for. The place tends to attract the more discourteous members of society and I suppose it is what you would expect. I personally won't be returning, but others out there seem to enjoy it.

My kids and I had a really good time here. There was an event (which they seem to have often) so it was pretty crowded. It did take about 40 minutes to get food, but I doubt that's normal. However, the best things about my visit was my belongings were safe when I was separated from them. I was able to put everything on a table and engage with my children and no one bothered anything! Also, it was reasonably priced. Just $18 for skating, including skates, playground, and laser tag. They offer skating trainer

My son has had an absolute blast attending summer camp! They keep the kiddos busy with roller-skating, laser tag, STEAM activities, old fashioned fun games, & so much more! It's been a safe environment & Patricia has done an incredible job thoughtfully planning the camp! Her staff has been very nice too! Even though Patricia or the staff sees me daily, she always checks my ID.... Peace of mind! The kids have been nice & my son has adapted well joining the camp towards the last sessions. We are excited to go

I went to my 1st ever adult skate night by myself and when I say I loved everything about it. The vibes was perfect and everyone had a great time. The staff was amazing the music was great and the Manager Patricia was awesome. I cannot wait till 7/16 for the 80s, 90s adult Sip and Skate cause I will definitely be attending ?? ??

i have been coming to starlite since i was 2 years old(i was born 2013) i have baby videos and i love it and my younger brother loves the playground. i think y?all did amazing and i hope anyone who goes to starlite has an amazing time.

After paying $300 for a birthday party I had to pay an additional $25 for a kid that only entered and left the building! Not even that the birthday kids were counted as kids on the invitation list. The pizza was cold. Our reservation was for 1-3, we didn't even get the table until 1:30 and then were told to leave the table by 2:15. Then manager argued with me when I questioned the additional payment. Would NOT RECOMMEND!

Kids had a great time, but the prices of food and drinks at the Starlite Cafe are WAY out of line. Over $8.00 for a large Icee! A small cookie is $1.50! Total rip off!!!

i drive an hour and a half every friday just to skate at this place 10/10 would recommend staff is great, i get jam skate lessons from trinity, mary?s food is the bomb and once again trinity keeps the place bumping with the music. kendra keeps the place running smoothly on the daily she's a great manager

I've skated here with my daughter several times and we always had fun. My daughter asked to have her 7th bday party here. Bday party prices are VERY high with little given. Our party was $250 for 10 kids. Included skating, laser tag, and play area. I added 2 pizzas and 2 pitchers of fruit punch. Total bill came to $366. We only had a reserved table for 45 mins. My daughter was not given a gift from the business. Our "hostess," only interacted with us when we got there to show us our table, confirm food

Nice place but over priced. We came up there to skate walked in paid $117 for 3 kids 2 adults it was on a Friday night. My daughter is 3 and it was her first time I had no problem paying to get in but when she needed some assistance skating I was the made to pay 7 dollars a hour for the little plastic walker. Seems like that would and should be included. An they are timing you for sure called my name over the speaker and got 2 huge stack's in the corner. Seems like robbery to me.

The staff are friendly. The facility is clean and well organized. You CANNOT bring your own cake for a party. You have to book parties and I think they might supply a cake. Some people our group wanted to only play Lazer tag. Others wanted to skate and do Lazer tag. They charged us all for the ultimate pass, which covers both with a $7 to $10 difference in price. The staff took it upon themselves to charge for things we didn't want to do because she thought it saved money for us in the end. Not sure what ki

Great place for kids young an old We had so much fun last night! I loved the music the manager Patricia was playing. She was playing the coolest throwback music. Everyone was singing skating and enjoying the night. Thank you so much for letting our family enjoy time together! This is the most fun we could have ever asked for. Thank you Starlite.

Was not a good choice for a group as a end of year event. After told no more reserved spaces when we got there the $36 per girl entry rules delayed our entrance because out leader could only pay for the ones that were physically present at the time. Would not allow our gifts for the exchange in because we didn't have a reserved space! One hour for food that was not good at all....popcorn cold, hot dog over cooked(not Nathan's as advertised), pizza tough, boneless wings horribly chewy and ??. Glad the girls

Trent and Bryan are the best!! Had a wonderful experience there recently due to the excellent customer care provided by these 2 young men who were only in high school yet truly understood what it meant to be on their task and go above and beyond for the customer experience!! Thanks guys!!

Overpriced. Two adults and a 6 year old with skate rentals was $70+. Then we get inside and the skates were busted to hell. the entrance fee gave us access to a playground area which was fine. Not sure if it gave us access to laser tag too though since that area was closed. We decided to play games but discovered that you have to pay a minimum of $10 extra for a game card to play any and half the games that we wanted to play were out of order. Not only that but I had to step out to take a phone call (there

An honest review of our actual experience. First, we came as a group of 15 for a church youth group gathering. We planned about two months ahead of time to try and see if our group would qualify for the "group discount" rate that is mentioned, but never specifically laid out online to explain qualifications. As we wanted our entire youth group (25 kids) to be able to afford to participate, we sent out many emails to in inquire if we in fact qualified. "Michelle" did respond to say they would be happy to ac

My kids enjoy their time there

I took my neighbors children who are four and six skating and Patricia the manager really was very helpful. Both were new to skating and having trouble learning but in particular the four-year-old who always loves doing everything her older brother does but could not keep up with him. Patricia suggested some plastic skates that can help beginners and make the transition easier to regular skates. The four-year-old instantly felt more confident so much so that she did a pirouette and refused to use the PVC tr

Had a really great time skating here. This is a fun weekend activity. The rink wasn't too busy and the music is censored for all sensitive ears. Stopped by the concession stand and got pizza and chocolate cookies for the nostalgia of it all. The staff was friendly and made everything to order.

Total bait and switch. Double birthday party, with 2 activities?except that if one of the activities is laser tag, you only get ONE GAME (10 min out of a three hour party), so the one birthday kid who picked that as his activity and hates skating will have the worst birthday ever. It cannot possibly cost so much to run laser tag games that $250 couldn't cover more than 10 minutes. OH and apparently that is noted on the paper brochures at the facility, but since I had never been before this (we live 45 min

My husband, 6 year old and 2 year old went and it was $75 just to skate! Then they wanted EXTRA FOR the assistant bar for my two year old!??! After all that they were only able to stay an hour, because you know how toddlers are, and their stuff was completely rummaged trough on the table. Wow. Charging that much you would think there would be SOME standards. Anyway tried sending countless emails. No one replies. Very sketchy place.

My littles and I had a GREAT TIME! The manager Nick was awesome as well as Mason and on top of it. Made sure we had what we needed and then some. Good customer service is rare nowadays so I appreciate everything done. Thank you gentlemen ????

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
