I've been coming to Starland since I was a kid & it's crazy how much it has changed! It's always been an awesome place with mini golf, go-karting, rock climbing, & an arcade, but today it's even better than it used to be. They're adding a couple more rides this year, which will be cool to see. This is the perfect place for a kids' birthday party. Recently, we went to the Sportsplex for Food Fight 2025 & it was a lot of fun!
We visited here from NY for a Jiu-Jitsu competition. The arena/court was a nice size, plenty of space for the event and visitors. The area was clean as were the restrooms. The gaming area was nice after the event. Definitely good space for whatever else they use it for on a regular basis. Locally, there are shops, restaurants, ice cream, and more. We stood at a hotel about 35-40 minutes from the venue.
Place was awesome! Happened to be here for a basketball tournament and was able to enjoy all of the frills! Restaurant and games upstairs. Concessions on the gym level. The people were SUPER friendly and helpful! And Nicky and Chris at the bar were super cool and awesome to hang out with and talk to!
We threw an employee appreciation party with almost 100 of our employees at Starland Sportsplex the last week of June and can honestly say it was one of the most seemless events we have run yet! The staff were so helpful, the food was delicious, and our employees raved about how great the park itself was for all of their family members! Hannah, the event coordinator for the day, went above and beyond to ensure we had all that we needed for the event. We will definitely be coming back again
Excellent facility with not only usual family fun center with go karts, arcade, consessions,, bumper cars and etc. They have 8 basketball courts with stands and at least two soccer fields all indoor. It is a great place for a basketball tournament. Their is plenty of free parking on site. Excellent coffee and service in the cafe.
????? Recently attended an event at Starland and had an amazing experience! Jared and Ramone were absolutely incredible ? super organized, friendly, and went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. The space was clean, fun, and perfect for our group. Highly recommend for any event or celebration!
AWFUL experience. Went there with my son & wife yesterday, the waitress couldn't be bothered to stop talking to a gentleman in the corner to notice there was a paying customer waiting to order a drink & food, so we didn't get anything to drink or eat. (The bar only had 1 customer). Brought my son outside to play corn hole and there's cigarette butts ALL OVER THE GRASS, disgusting. My son kept trying to put them in his mouth as he's just a year old. This place is not kid friendly like it says. Needs new mana
I just want to let know how much we appreciate your organization. My daughter had such a wonderful time in your basketball clinic. She met so many nice people and learned SO much. Her coach Coach K was just the greatest, so encouraging and patient, and they all appeared to have a great time! Thank you so much and please keep us on your email list. We would love to take part in other basketball oppurtunities. Thank you so much. We truly appreciate you.
This place does not honor their listed hours. We bought flash passes that said in their fine print that could be used until 7pm and their website said holiday hours kept attractions open until 8pm (we visiting 5/25). They shut down their attractions at 6pm, specifically the GoKarts. When asked they said they ?just decided today to close at 6pm and their marketing team made a mistake.? Made no effort to rectify the mistake since we missed out on 2 hours of use on our passes. We then asked to play mini golf s
The beginners basketball academy is great! My 5 year old loves it! Jazz the person in charge and all of her coaches are absolutely fantastic. Each kid gets the attention they need while also learning to work as a team with others! Highly recommend!
Went to the Halloween party at Starland. The kids had a blast and I got to sit back and relax.. Updated...Recently had my daughter 11 birthday there. We had the slime package and Lazer tag.. with the time to spare for bumper cars..A great place bring your family.
I'll be honest with ya, I haven't been here for myself since I was an annoying teenager. In my lame adult life, though, my kids use this as an emergency camp for school vacations. You wouldn't know it from the road, but their staff is awesome, your kids will have a great time, and the facility itself is...HUGE AND AWESOME!
This place is so cool! Food was quick and yummy. Tons of activities and my kids loved it. They serve alcohol too
Good venue but the parking for volleyball events is dogshit. They block off half the lot for some random reason and force everyone to park out back. Not a friendly place to visit. Give stars based on both the bagel shop and the bar area that has great food and service
Had a great time staff was very helpful, Tyler was awesome even helped my kids with the batting cages when the machine jammed love this place keep up the good service and we will be back.
My daughter had a volleyball tournament at Starland today. It is a pretty good facility for that, however there was no water for the athletes to refill their water bottles. There was one small water fountain, but the water had no pressure so the stream was too small to fill a bottle. Plus it seemed dirty. I have never been to a vb tournament where they don't supply water. Additionally, I walked back to the indoor soccer area and could hardly breathe. It smelled like mold and sweat. Definitely toxic.
We go here to play basketball and it's absolutely amazing. They have so much stuff. Soccer courts, basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, corn hole, and more. They also hold events in the gym area. Have a huge arcade and rides, laser tag, bumper cars, basketball cages, and birthday parties. Anything you can imagine They have, and it is so much fun to go with the kids and hang out for the day. They serve food and drinks also. Great place to go.
Busy but fun love the basketball courts and.mini golf and go carts are so fun been going there since I was a kid in,the late 80s early 90
A huge place with many sport activities, easy to park your call plenty of spots. Here is some of games you can play: ?BASKETBALL ? ARCADE ? LASER TAG Also : ? REST ROOMS ? CONCESSIONS You will not regret going there! THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW
Went to the recent St. Patrick?s Day event with my daughter. It was SO fun for her! We decided to go to the Easter event thinking it would be just as fun. Omg, it was even better!!!! More to do and she had a blast. It was busy, but never felt too crowded! The staff was so welcoming - there were no lines to get in despite such a large guest count! It seemed so smooth. The egg hunt was definitely busy but the DJ made so many announcements to try to organize it. Many parents just didn't listen and were shoving
Good place to spend time with kids . friendly staff, good instruction for the racing and the carts appeared to been in good condition . And the person running the Bumper Cars was incredibly kind and helpful. However, the cars were boringly slow...and the mini golf was nice overall it was good.
I Remember When I Was Younger Going Here, My Mom Also When She Was A Kid & Yet My Kids Loving It Just As Much As We Did.....ESP, Batting Cages, Go-Carts & Ride Hammered! It Can Definitely Get Pricey, But What Can't When it Comes To Outdoor Fun Attractions for Kids?? Wish Bumper Boats Were Still There, Bummer They Removed Them!!
First time back in a long time. It's really nice with new upgrades and stuff. I only did mini golf. 100% need to go back to check out the rest of the place! Late night mini golf was great tho. Frogs were going off. Didn't kick us out when it closed. We just finished our golfing and left like ten min late.
Volleyball tournament here for my son. Facilities are fine, but the rest of the experience is zero stars. Ticket cost was crazy high as compared to other places AND you have to buy their VERY expensive, not good food. Much better option across the street at Tsang?s Village. Can not comment on all of the other things they have (arcade, etc), but it really looks like a place that is designed to drain your wallet
This place is amazing a lot going on and the kids having a lot of fun!!The only thing I did not like was the food at the concession stand was horrible my burger was red my fries were burnt even my daughter didn't eat her two hot dog she gave them back we ended up going to DQ right next door and getting some good food
It is nice to come to the home improvement show. It's not super crowded and there is sufficient parking. This a great use of this venue.
This is the piece nightmares are made of. Inadequate parking for the size of the complex, especially when they are hosting events. Poor signage when there are multiple events going on at the same time.
Good fun for a lil more than half-day trip. Bring your kids and play with them. Well bond together ?
Very friendly and clean. Well organized
Nice mini golf course. Fun for a hot summer day.
Had a great time here with my son and family. Would go back, staff is very nice.
This is a fun place for kids 12-13 and under. The park is clean and has a really nice crowd. I wasn't sure what to expect typically those amusement park type places are money pits. However, I thought Starland was relatively inexpensive.. I took my two youngest & for $75 they give you a free $25 "bonus" which was more than enough for 2 kids for a few hours Starland allows you to pay for each game/ride individually (e.g. the go-karts are $11 & the batting cages are $3)... So for $75 bucks my 2 kids had
We had a fantastic experience celebrating my son's 10th birthday at Starland in Hanover, MA, where the host provided exceptional service. With a variety of fun activities like laser tag and mini-golf, the venue is perfect for family and friends, and we can't wait to return for my son's 11th birthday party in 2026!
Have really put a lot of money into long term renovations . The batting cages, rock wall, arcade, trampoline jump thing, and another seated 3 person ride that is dependent on how hard someone swings the bat on the mark catapulting them in air are all new additions . Their food coffee and craft beer selections bridge the sports complex and arcade / play park nicely for families at all times of the weekend !
Best place around to go with the kids or your friends?? They have so many different activities to do, there is something for everyone!!!
I only attend the Weight Watchers meetings there. It looks like a fun place for kids and the young "at heart" w/arcade games, go carts etc. I hear there is a bar that supposedly brings in live bands from time to time. You should check it all out yourself with regards to kid events and entertainment. Easy to find on Rt.53 just a few miles south of Hanover Mall, free parking, next door to Dairy Queen and close to several restaurants.
I went to the Easter event on 3/30 and let me say my 6 year old daughter has never had a bigger smile on her face! It was really crowded but well worth the wait! The egg hunt was a blast! Thanks to the entire staff at Starland for making such a memorable day for my daughter!
If your child has a game here then have them wear all the pads they have!! 19-21 year old officials with no clue of the game. Average age of Refs was probably 23. Cussing out parents every other game. 2 refs on court 3 on Saturday 6/2/24. The most childish ran games ever. Ref literally said ?3 seconds on offense isn't a rule. The refs don't even move to half court to call the game. Dont do anything to break up fights they leave up to coaches and teammate which make it worse. And I paid 35 for admission
45 min drive for the batting cages, purchased the card for payment. Once at the cages was informed they weren't working. People were inside physically pitching to their friends/kids! No signage informing people of this and not a single employee to be found!! Called the sites number and spoke to Miles who said he was "a" manager who had more than one excuse but not a single answer!! Asked for his boss and was given an Email for "a" manager of sports!! Grew up going there but so disappointed in condition and
What has this place become?? Sad and disgusting in every way. A cesspool of depravity.
We've been there every year, at least twice, for futsal tournaments.
My kids loved the day passes- me I love the bargain lol ! The owner was super helpful went out of his way to find me an area I can work while the kids play ! The food cashier was nice enough to think of creative ways for my allergy daughter to get a treat and the size of the pizza !!!
This place is awesome give my bois PJ and Danny a rise
Drinks are expensive, not many arcade games, and bumper cars were shut down because they didn't have any staff to fix them :(
Different sports events are often organized simultaneously at this place, like Rhythmic Gymnastics competition , basketball, soccer.. very busy and happening! Wish it was a wall separating different events, alas, it's just a net!
This is a review is specifically as a patron for a basketball tournament. I know they do 1000 other things there besides host hoops tournaments. Bad: need more seating, each court has a small section to sit, it's like the subway, women, children and elderly get those spots first, maybe more seating? I know people bring their foldable chairs, just can't get myself to do that. Good: when you have 3 hours between games there is a lot to do in the area, golf, shopping and food nearby. Overall good venue. Not gr
The go karts are, conceptually, very cool. In practice, they're very boring and the races get affected by other racers; during all 3 of our races we ended up paused because of others driving longer than we were (slowly) moving.
Went for a 21+ adult night only in August. Had a really great time. Drinks and food were ok, they had a great selection of games and arcade offerings. A little bit of a drive for me, but a great way to wind down after a long week.
The place was huge but I hardly any video games. I counted like 2 plus air hockey, 3 pinball games and a beer pong game. The food was horrible and expensive. We ordered pizza, buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks. Everything needed salt and the buffalo wings had zero flavor. Worst meal of my life. Drinks were fine and atmosphere was acceptable. Lots to see given there was basketball and volley ball games below to see. I would definitely not go back. But it was cool to try.
My family and I attended the Easter event and we had an amazing time!! The staff were so welcoming and considerate. There were so many different activities for my kids to do and the Easter hunt was EPIC!! Will come again!
Went there specifically to use the batting cages. They have been out of order for awhile, but nothing posted online. While there decided to take the kids on the go karts, $25.00 for two kids. Way over priced.
Easter Event was Amazing!!!!! My 7 year old son absolutely loved going to the egg hunt!!! He loved meeting the Easter Bunny and also loved all the bouncy houses!! Way to go managing over 500 kids!!!! ????????????????????
After you close out, they will put a $25 hold on your credit card for no reason for several days and management will not help you fix it. Just be forewarned! Not a very good way to treat a customer, especially in this economy where nobody wants to go out to eat anymore! I don't trust an establishment to try to pick my pocket and take money from my bank account. Unacceptable! I think management should comp my entire bill for my aggravation.
This place was fantastic. We had the best birthday party. The staff were very friendly and polite. They set us up in a nice room and waited on us hand and foot. The food was so good. I've never gone to a kids place like this that had such good chicken fingers, pizza and fries. The arranged all kinds of fun things for the kids to do; bumper cars, laser tag and go carts too. The bumper cars were especially cool and had neat controllers that I'd never seen. The kids seemed to love them. It was a great
Amazing place! I've been here for sporting events, dance competitions and birthday parties. The facilities are super clean and well decorated. The bar is a plus while you wait for the kids to finish their activities!!! Very nice improvements over the years!!!
Frank (the owner) is always an absolute pleasure to see! I've been coming to Starland since I was a kid. No better way to celebrate my 18th birthday than to give it another visit. I'm an hour away- but it's always worth the trip up to relive childhood. Golf course and go karts are just how I remember. Always a fantastic and fun time with friends and family. Still one of the best places in Hanover- especially if you grab a Pick 5, always the best bang for your buck. Thank you Frank for making my childhood an
While the facilities are clean and they offer many activities, certain areas are a free-for-all. We waited about 40 minutes for laser tag because people left line to go to other activities, wish there was a number system to keep track of who is next. My husband was also confused at batting cages, he kept swiping card not realizing, machine is manually loaded and he should have waited for a reload. They do have a nice beer garden area with several choices. Overall the complex is fun entertainment for kids un
This place is amazing the owner is the nicest guy really made my daughter?s day. Danny was also amazing and very nice. My daughter told the owner he did a great job at building this park while she was at rock climbing! Thank you star land we will be back! Check this place out I would recommend it to everyone!
Great facility but they should improve the air quality and circulation.
Great deals on baby and kids clothes during this annual sale. Also games, strollers, etc. 1/2 price on Saturday.
I come here mainly for the mini golf. It's pretty good! The course seems well maintained and it's priced fairly. There's not a lot of interesting holes but it's great for a classic game of mini golf. The last visit my husband got his ball stuck and the employee who helped him get it out was pretty rude though.
This place is massive. We have been to two events held here and it's amazing how much room they have. Plenty to do on and off season. Arcade, mini golf, batting cages, go carts. There is always something to do.
The kids love coming here to play. They especially love the laser tag. The arcade is good for the kids too. All the games in working order. Nice clean place. Nice mini golf course and other outside activities closed for the winter, but you can still go there and have a good time inside.
We brought my 13 year old son for his birthday on a whim. We had dinner, dessert and played arcade games. The staff were super friendly and attentive and even gave my son a grab bag for his birthday.
Always fun! I've been riding go carts here since I was a kid. Now our daughter gets to experience the fun with us! With both the outdoor activities and the games inside, there's plenty of fun to be had by everyone!
It's a blast every time! Since I was a little kid, I've been coming here to drive go carts. We're so glad that our kid can join in on the action now. There's plenty for everyone to enjoy, between the outdoor pursuits and the indoor games.
good place, very busy, not really worth the amount of money you pay
We celebrated my 11th yr son's birthday here for the first time. Before making my final decision. I called and checked the place before my son's big day. I spoke to very vibrant woman named Brianna. She was so helpful, nice and gave me a tour of the facility as well. I was impressed and returned the next day to have fun. I purchased roughly 6 combo cards at $20 each. It covered 2 laser tags, 1 bumper car event and $5 arcade which I could reload as much as I like. I didn't purchase any food at concession, bu
What a fantastic time we had at Starland! The kids were thrilled with unlimited Go Karting, the batting cages, the Hammer ride, the 6D ride and many other attractions! The staff members we interacted with were lights out too! Caroline was the best and our favorite!- She was very helpful, funny, friendly, accommodating, and really attended to our needs! Thanks to Caroline for making our Starland experience very positive! Olivia also deserves a shout out for making the Hammer ride so much fun! The one suggest
I brought my daughter and her friend who are both 10. It was 930pm when we arrived and were looking forward to riding the Go-Karts. Unfortunately they close 2 hours earlier than the mini golf. So we opted for mini golf. The staff were SUPER nice, really helpful and accommodating! It's a great place for kids, and there are snack/drink options as well. Ill definitely bring them back in the future for Go-Karts!
Bought 4 cards that allowed any 3 rides and a $50 card for my husband and i to join the kids. Go karts were fun, laser tag and bumper cars were fun as well but we finished the "day" in less than an hour. Great place for kids to have a little fun but not "all day" fun. Tried it out because we never been but probably won't try again for a while. I think the hot weather kept us from enjoying more of ther outdoor rides ????. Staff are very friendly and professional.
First time visting here in several years and I have to say, I'm impressed with what they've done with the place. The sports complex is all brand new, and inside is the expanded arcade, laser tag and bumper cars. The go karts, too, have seen an update with a renovated circuit with a bridge. My family and I had a great time racing on the track. We were also pleased to see the steps the park has taken to combat the pandemic. You can't go 5 feet without seeing a hand sanitizing station and the staff made sure t
There are so many different things for adults and children to do. It's clean. Restrooms are clean. Highly recommend for family, date night, anytime you just want to have fun!
Bathrooms could be a lot cleaner and better attended.
Manager Chris was amazing. Serious situation solved quickly and professionally. Guys like him keep us coming!!
It is definitely fun for kids and also there are some activities for adult. I like having it in this location because there is nothing going on in this area unfortunately the not me the prices are just a bit high if they could drop it down it would be great but overwhelm I think is very good That's why I gave it 5 stars
Lots of fun with my grandson!??
Hi I am Eden! Me and my friends had a great time! The staff there was great. PJ was excellent and we had a great time. And Caroline was the best. She gave us the best service and made the experience great. Can't wait to go back and see Caroline again!!!
We had an amazing time today, I grew up going here and finally had a chance to bring my son and his friend. We had a blast on the go karts, rock wall, bumper cars, lazer tag and 7d ride. We were treated to a free attraction as the one we were waiting for had a birthday party of some of the cutest young boys having the time of their life. If you have never been to start land or like myself have both been in a few decades due to moving far away, you need to come back. We drove over an hour and a half to ge
Not crowed during weekdays which id great. I love to bring the kids after school sometimes. Small arcade but perfect for kids. My teen loves their laser tag and go carts! As do I lol had lots of family fun here. On a nice day the mini golf is a must! Great prices n variety.
Loved visiting here! The staff is so helpful and friendly. My friends loved the dark ride and go karts. We also tried the fried dough and it was amazing. It felt very covid-safe. Will definitely be back soon.
Honestly where do I start... The many times I've been here with friends have been anything but fun. The staff there is reasonable, and honestly aren't really an issue. The management, however is is completely mediocre. One manager there, only cares about money, and not customer enjoyment and satisfaction. He is selfish, money hungry, and overall just unethical. Every time I've attempted to play basketball, he's crammed over 50 kids on one half court, making it completely unplayable. In addition, at my
AWESOME family atmosphere. Great place for birthdays. Very friendly staff. Very fun place. They have an arcade, indoor bumper cars, laser tag, indoor tennis courts, basketball courts, they have a Rock climbing wall, gocarts, batting cages, an awesome miniature golf ? course. They have great food. They also have a camp where you drop off your kids for the day. They also have an AWESOME virtual reality machine called The Dark Ride. VERY AWESOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT. IT'S LOCATED IN Hanover, Mass. ????
I'll give this place a 4 only because the parking was full. However, that's the only problem we've encountered on that day. We didn't get a chance to try the food but the game set up was a bit confusing at first but after we figured it out we were able to attend and watch the game. Next time we will most definitely try the food & give you a review on that. Don't forget to follow me on all social sites @okJatnna for more details, reviews and many more to come.
Happy and fun filled ! Every time I come in to enjoy a birthday party or just an evening of fun! These two, Paul and Caroline if not both are always there to assist me with a smile and the best attitudes! I love when one of them are working! My fav starland employees ever ??
First visit there.Great fun. Connie explained the assorted packages which was very helpful . One ride was down, but that ok. Pizza is really tasty. Was a family hit.
I wish I could give 0 stars to their egg hunt. The DJ announced it would be by age group so I had my daughter and niece wait for them to call the older age group and then they let everyone go at the same time. We spent $30 to go where parents were holding all of the tables so my girls had to color their bags on a bench and neither one got a single egg but other parents were opening the eggs and dumping the contents into their kids' bags so they could take even more. What a shame.
So much fun in one place! And the pizza at the restaurant upstair is simply perfect! I tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch and it's simply perfect!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
