the kids and hubby really enjoyed this place. we went here to get away from the hot beach for a day and to experience something different. they loved the variety of games available especially the pinball machines. not a bad price for the time to play. definitely worth it.
Not a bad little hideaway for a mall arcade. A nice selection of classics and some newer titles. A spot like this would benefit from a stand alone location and not hidden away in a dying mall. Clean and well lit interior. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Played for about an hour and ran into several games where the controls were broken or out of alignment. Some of the pinball machines were in need of a tuneup and demag of the playing fields. Had these issues not been there. A 5 star rating would ha
I was hoping this place would be like the "Yestercade", but it's 75% pinball machines. You pay by the hour and the access is unlimited, but the game varieties themselves are limited. Was hoping this would be a local gem :(. Would consider coming back if they expanded their game selection.
Tons of old school American cabs and rows of pinball machines. Also what appears to be a small console area with multiple TVs I'm assuming for console play. I think out of what has to be over 100 cabinets like two didn't work. But you have great cabinets like Ridge Racer 2 and Star Wars Arcade. Pretty much all the games the buttons and joysticks felt great. No mushy buttons or like 3 of the four Microswitches working on the joystick. I will say that the Street Fighter 2 cabinets left joystick was a tad
All the video greats are here. However, I was more interested in pinball, and they have pinball. A LOT of pinball. Everything is in mostly great order. It's a great way to spend an hour or more for a very reasonable price.
This arcade was long overdue for a space in Hamilton Mall. We didn't have much to do except browse Level Up for comics and wander about - but Starcade relocated to the mall from another location in AC, making this arcade far more accessible and much cheaper (parking/traffic/toll wise) Great selection of games, focusing on the important classics like Robotron, Galaga, burger time, track and field, Simpson's, Xmen, marvel vs capcom... the list goes on. What really impressed me is the fact they had vintage St
This place was awesome. 10 bucks to play unlimited games for an hour was awesome! I felt like a kid again! Very nostalgic!
Starcade is a great concept. You pay for bulk time to play the games, rather than pay for each game you play. My son has a blast playing everything from PS5 to pinball and air hockey to old school favs like X-Men and Rush. I'm almost 40YO and I have as much fun as my 8YO does at this place.
So cool to see classic games from the 80's and 90's.....like going back in time. They offer a five hour pass for $25 which can't be beat for unlimited play on all available video and pinball machines.
I went today to celebrate my 41st birthday. They have all the classics. Street Fighter 2, Pacman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Tekken and the Simpsons. My personal recommendation is Marvel Superheroes.
This place is amazing! Great rate for all the games being on free play and is only 7/hr. They have old games and new games! Super nostalgic for the older folks and a great place for the younger kids to learn a few things. They have tons of classic arcade games, pinball machines, and driving games, and even 2 air hockey tables! They also have 4 or 5 set ups of PS4 with tables and comfy chairs to sit on. The also sell coffee! There's several tables and chairs to sit and hang out with your friends at and just
great arcade with pinball and retro video games. they have a weekly pinball tournament on wednesday nights. who knew that south jersey has a pinball community?
I would give this 4.5 but I'm going to round up. Great place to bring the kids. $10 for an hr. $25 for 5 hours. Everything is free to play. Older arcade games mostly but they do have PS4 as well. Personally I enjoyed the Gauntlet game and air hockey the most.
A blast from the arcade past. Well maintained, but occasionally a machine will be out of order. Not too pricey, but more than 2 hours isn't worth it unless you really love pinball machines and want to try every single one. Staff are friendly as can be. Keep this place running!
This is a really fun arcade. All games are on free play, so you pay when you leave based on the time you were there. There's a ton of pinball machines, but there's also air hockey and console games in addition to all the old arcade games. One of the better selection places around here. Definitely worth visiting for some fun.
I travel a lot for work and play pinball all over and this place I top 5 for me. All the machines are in incredible condition. Plus, all the lights have been changed out to LEDs which makes a huge difference in the games. Also the selection is top tier: theater of magic, fish tales, and twilight! For your arcade fans they have TRON the greatest arcaded game that has ever been made!
They have an amazing selection of Arcade games and old school Pinballs. I could spend hours at this place and never get bored. UPDATE: This place is not closing despite rumors that are going around. If you are in the area, please support this arcade if you can. It's the best thing I have going for me RN.
Wonderful fun experience. Pay one price for fun fun fun. Awesome pinball selection. Love this place
Is great. Big inside. Some games are broke. Staff is nice. Prices are great. Love the Environment. Recommended
Very affordable place to bring the kids. Play as many games as you want for $10 hr. Incredible price. Would of cost me at least $100 somewhere else. Good selection of old arcade games with the classics.
There are lots of classic video games and a nice selection of old and newer pinball games. As with most arcades, I go to with pinball, not all the pinball tables work perfectly. As anyone who plays pinball knows a lot of the time, flippers stick or the tilt is too sensitive. It's no different here. The good thing is there is a decent selection to choose from, so after a little bit, you'll get to know which tables play better than others. I did not notice any of the arcade games we played have any negative i
Located in the lower north side of the Hamilton mall. Huge selection of solid state machines. Good value and very nice owners!
Always a lot of fun with my 10 year old daughter. Brings me back 30 years too.
This place is amazing! On vacation for a week and had planned to go to the beach that day but it rained. Found this gem on Google and headed over. Ya like pinball? They got you. Old arcade cabinets? Got you. Newer stuff? Got you. Air hockey? Got you. PS5 games? GOT YOU! my family of five played for 5 hours (for only $25 bucks a head and they didn't charge me for my 4 year old since she really can't PLAY play!) and it was glorious! Some of the best fun we had on the trip which is saying something. If I lived
This is a wonderful way to burn two hours, maybe three if you are really into video games. They have about 100 games, all set to free, that you can play for about $10 per hour, per person. Think about how many quarters you used to spend to beat the X-Men or Ninja Turtles game. Games are still set to their rules- if you lose in Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, you go back to the beginning. But it is completely worth the time. If you live within an hour, this is worth the trip.
This place is fantastic! There are so many amazing pinball machines! There are a lot of other classic video games, too. It was nice having an affordable flat fee, and the staff was really cool.
Absolutely fantastic place! Wonderful assortment of pinball machines and video games all in excellent condition. It is obvious the owner of this business truly cares about what she is doing.
Pretty cheap for a good time. A lot of pinball going on here tho.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Me and my girlfriend wanted to go to an arcade yesterday and it just so happens there was one in the mall we were in. Tons of classic games and with or without nostalgia, everything was fun. Comfortable environment with drinks that you can ask for at the front desk, too! There's also a side section of PS4's that are all linked, so you can play together online. The selection of games is small but, be honest, how invested are you gonna get on a ps4 in an arcade? Overall a very
Wonderful time on a great budget! Great selection of old arcade titles (driving, light gun, & more) in an accessible location & convenient method of business. Loved the experience despite a couple of the games showing their age & not operating at 100%, & the place not being fully set up. Had a blast today & will have another next time I'm here. Will be returning very soon!
Great way to take a quick trip to the golden age of gaming. I've been here twice for an hour each time and still haven't taken a full dive into all the games and pinball machines they have. I hope they are able to draw bigger crowds and keep the era alive!
Great staff. Good variety of games from older to modern gamea of today. They charge by the hour with all games on freeplay. They also have group/party packages
They have some really great arcade games! Definitely nostalgic when it comes to pinball and a couple of other arcade games. They had some that were really old as well. I just love coming into this place.
Went last Friday and man oh man I can't remember the last time I went to such a great arcade. The machines are beautifully maintained, the selection is huge, and paying by the hour instead of by the credit makes it easier to enjoy everything Starcade has to offer. My husband and I had so much fun and are planning a trip back soon.
Brought the kids for a quick feel of what it was like when we were kids, minus a pocket full of quarters. Two hours later we were feeling like our parents did. (Trying to get the kids to leave.) Had an awesome time, and will definitely be back.
Amazing old school arcade! Remarkable pinball selection, new and old, in fantastic shape. Medieval Madness, Twilight Zone, Funhouse and even 2 old EM pinball machines which are always a lot of fun. Spent a good 2 and half hours here and couldn't be happier. Time just flew by! Get there now!!
An excellent retro arcade with pay by the hour pricing and a friendly attendant. Great selection of Pinball and classic arcade games. Most games were found in working order. Was not crowded on a Friday night.
Me and my 10 year old cousin came here. It's got games from 80s 90s and even fortnite. All games worked perfectly unlike other arcades. It's only 10$ hour It's a bargain. I had just as much fun as my 10 year old. I can't wait to come back.
Wonderful establishment. Pay one price to play all day. All machines set to free play mode. At least 15 pinballs and 15 or more classic arcade games. I EASILY spent 3 straight hours here. The pinballs are the most beautifully maintained I have ever seen in my 32 years on this rock. I was having a pretty lousy time in Atlantic City but this place saved it. I'm planning a return trip just because I want to play those wonderful pinballs again. So much fun. Pinball enthusiasts would be pleased with this little
Nice selection of vintage video games. Lots of pinball also with a mix of old and new. Machines are all very well maintained and staff is friendly. Highly recommended.
Need to get your Frogger fix? This is the place. Such a cool place. An arcade with old pinball, new pinball, and a whole lot of video arcade games. Okay one price and play to your hearts content. Party area is available.
Spent some time there this afternoon. A really great place to hang out for a bit. They have a ton of pinball machines which was right up my alley, however they lack some of the classics like time crisis. They also didnt have a multiplayer racing game functional when I went. I think I saw they had House of the Dead 3 in the back out of order so once they open that up there'll be more shooter options. If you dont have an appreciation for pinball you might find this arcade a bit lacking, but for $10/hr you can
This is heaven for any Pinball fan. Loads of A titles in great condition. Best time I had in AC, skip the slots and spend your money here. Video games looked great also, but I couldn't trear myself away from the pins.
An amazing variety of games all the way from pinball cabinets and arcade classics to PS4s. Very reasonable prices to boot; each time I came back I brought more people to introduce them to this gem!
My wife, friend and myself checked this place out yesterday and i was excited for it to open. Alot of games from back in the day. We came back again today and its well kept and you could spend a whole day in it. Great atmosphere to be a kid again??
Absolutely love this place. I originally took my son in to kill some time but wound up having more fun then he did lol. It reminded me of my childhood and going to spaceport, spending hours playing games and hanging out with my friends. What a great experience a true blast from the past.
Sooooo fun!! Pinball, Area 51, air hockey, and more. Excellent place to play or host a party!
Great place, pay by the hr, pay unlimited games while you stay. Will come back.
Great place to go! Well worth the money and a great find. I couldn't find it at first, but go into the old Showboat Hotel from the boardwalk and keep walking. Worth it! Lots of Williams pinball and also retro machines. I nearly had the place to myself, was amazing!
Kids and Hubby had a blast... had a slight headache so didn't participate but that had couches and chairs for non participates to lounge at no extra charge... Reasonablely priced ...lots of cool OLD School games.
Wonderful establishment. The machines are so beautiful and unique. Excellent customer service. I love the set up of the arcade. Such a sweet place, will definitely come back!
Very nice, pleasant, clean, niche place. I visit intermittently and enjoy each visit, chill and relaxing.
the young girl at the counter is super nice and helpful. also they have an awesome selection of games. old school games, and new systems PlayStation Xbox its awesome and cheap.
Located inside Hamilton Mall, Starcade offers a wide range of videogames from latest systems to classic. Galaga, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Asteroids just to name a few. From pinball to fortnite, something fun for everyone. $7 for 30min or $10 a full hour. Great for keeping kids busy or for birthdays.
Best arcade in South Jersey, has all the classics. I personally enjoy their wide selection of pinball machines.
First time there. My son and I had so much fun playing pinball and arcade games!
My kids have had several birthday parties here in their console room and had a blast. Staff is friendly and theres plenty of games for every age.
Great place. Great lineup of games and the owner Bridgett is awesome. Recommended highly. Go play some pinball and video games. You won't be sorry.
This place is incredible. The games are some top titles and very well maintained. Great fun for the whole family.
I was like a kid in a candy store. Almost all the games I use to play. Loved it. Also the games are in very good condition, no sloppy controllers at all. Great
This is such a great concept $10 for an hour of game play Tons of games. Pinball arcade classics all here working perfectly Really love it!!
Director Ink Center in the Mall, (Mays Landing ) is new but it's clean, fun and community based. Love the owner!!
If your looking for old school arcade games like pac man, frogger Tekken 1-3...this is the place to be!!! Clean, not crowded and my blue hair friend was super cool
Is absolutely a great place w many pinball machines and video games. Great for party as well . And Bridget owner is great !
It was a pretty good time. Some of the controls were a bit stiff, but all in all it was fun! I hope they get to expand a little on the games in the future
Great pinball selection. I think there's something wrong with the air hockey table cause my wife kept winning?
Great place to enjoy some classic pinball and arcade game
Awesome I bought a star card wasn't worth it. Just used my money it was better lol
Childhood related MK2 trama lives here. So does my heart.
Awesome!! Lots of old school games and pinball games. Love it!!
Always have a great time while we're here. The staff members are super friendly as well!
They have the best selection of arcade games I've seen since childhood!
Great place, great people, excellent selection of nicely maintained pinball machines!!
Old school fun, brought back memories. Audi has x box and play station consoles to play
Awesome fun. Great arcade games and excellent price point.
Fabulous place and hope it thrives in the ?work in progress? Showboat. Lots of new, well-maintained machines.
Fun,but some machines are broken, otherwise great for adults and kids
Cool place, very large, lots of retro games to choose from. Newer game systems up front.
Really cool old school arcade games. A good selection of pinball games too.
Great selection of old school arcade games but some machines have joystick issues which makes the game almost unplayable.
A great place to go on a date or just hang out and play some old school video games!
Unexpected cool arcade. Plenty of machines and a good price.
The place was clean. Took my daughter and she had a great time .
I had no idea how important pinball was to me until this day
There's a lot of fun games to play and the best part is no coins.
Good place to play video games in pinball machines not a bad price
Cool place, great machines and fair prices!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
