Took my daughter bowling and had a great time. Nice staff and service. Big arcade. The bowling lanes and black light style, very cool and perfect for kids. Overall a really great place for kids. Very clean and high quality place.
We did our company Christmas party here and felt like it was a perfect fit. It's such a beautiful place with so much to do! We bowled, played darts, and enjoyed the terrific buffet of food!
Reserved a lane for a date night. They placed us in the VIP section. It was loving time sharing a couple drinks and some potato skins. I even managed to get a 5000 point strike!
Star Lanes Bowling is such a fun place with an incredibly friendly staff! Everyone is welcoming and helpful, making the experience even better. The lanes are well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere is perfect for a great time with friends or family. Keep up the good work?I'll definitely be back!
We went here on a week night for a date night and had a great time. The bowling is a little too pricey but the food and service are great. There were also a lot of arcade games. The place was very clean. For our appetizer we got the deep fried pickles. I ordered buffalo and bbq wings for my meal. Delicious. Will come back again!
Overall, we had a good time. Took 1 star off cause we had 3 issues on our lane. Last issue was with the pin setter and they couldn't fix it so they set us up on a new lane. They did give us more time but with kids they get fussy when the can't bowl. Arcade was fun but went through $ fast. We will be back and next time we will try some food. Hopefully, they have some good onion rings.
Wayyyyyy too overpriced. Paid $118 for 2 hours of bowling and 2 pairs of shoes, which is absolutely insane. We should have just left when they said that. Very crowded and very loud. My husband and I had to shout to hear eachother when we were standing right next to eachother. The bowling balls were not in good condition and the pin setter didn't work right at least half the time. It wouldn't set all 10 pins down or it would mess up and tell you that you got a strike when you didn't. It was also very hot in
We met for a family Saturday afternoon bowling party. We had a good time. However, for a building of that size, I was extremely surprised at the few amount of lanes available for bowling. The food, while it tasted great, was horribly expensive for a large group with kids. For instance, a $17 "pizza" is really a small 6 piece flatbread appetizer.
My experiance was going well until a worker in the arcade was being very rude we had just played our games and purchased some sweets with for example x then we did the XD theater ride which was lovely and the worker there was so nice but when we realized we forgot my Friends card we checked everywhere so the only place could be at the front desk we asked a worker which is y he said that he does not know I asked to talk to the worker x but worker y said that we would Know if somebody left there card here.In
Had my son's birthday party here today. Mary was absolutely amazing setting up party plans. When arriving Staff was great. Always checked in and made sure that we were okay. I love this place will come back. Soon thank you, and your staff.
This is a huge step above your average bowling alley! It's clean, well maintained, food is good, and all the arcade games work. We used the event space and it was perfect! You have access to your own lanes, tables, buffet, etc. staff is friendly and helpful!
Great time for a work Christmas Party. The food was so so, nothing impressive. We had pep pizza, meatballs, potato skins, chicken tenders, and cheeseburger sliders. It was difficult to get a bar drink. It seemed like only one server for several other patries. We had 4 lanes, 12 people, and 1 server shared with other groups. Went to the bar more than a couple of times. Bowling was fun, and I definitely recommend a group party.
We had a blast! What a nice place to go to, you can bowl, play darts, pool, ping pong, video games, virtual reality games all kinds of cool things.
I'm sorry to say I forgot out servers name but we had lanes 3 and 4 today at 2pm and she was so attentive!! The hyperbowling was so fun and our server was so friendly and thoughtful! Definitely would recommend for birthdays- they have pizzas and beer pitchers!
Typical alley with string pin. Either over oiled or not oiled. Bring your own balls and be prepared to spend some money. Spent about $100 for 2 hours on a Wednesday night
We had issues with the bowling. The one lane had bad bumpers and the other had pins stuck. So the balls would not return. Waited over 20 min to get the lane working again so we just left. The staff was ok not bad in any way. Just not a good place for bowling.
Clean and not busy for a Friday night. Would rate higher if it wasn't so expensive. They would probably get more business as well.
This is one of the best bowling places in Columbus, I have been to others but this one is good for bowling. This is right next to Polaris fashion mall and easily seen from Polaris parkway. Apart from bowling they have some other fun activities like games, pool other table games. You can eat play and watch games here. I liked the lights next to bowling lane they change according to your score. Staff is friendly and cooperative. Totally this will be a fun day or evening for a whole family ????????????
This bowling alley is a blast! The lanes are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is lively but family-friendly. Great food and drink options at reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Perfect spot for fun with friends or family!
The Christmas party for Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary was at Star Lanes. It was a hit with the staff. We were more than impressed with the facility, the lanes, and the customer service. Special appreciation to Jason, Jess and Megan for treating us so well. Great job! We'll be back!
The place is over all fun, fun, fun the food was very good too! Our server was great with suggestions. I thought I would never say this but the steak was the bomb!! I wish I would have taken a picture but we ate it to fast!
We like star lanes. I take the boys there often. I would say everything is great except the food. Not the first time we get our food late and my son got a burnt burger. I think they are low on employees since orders take forever.
The food for our team party was top notch. I cannot remember the last time I had a steak so tender I could cut it with a fork.
We came in as a large group they weren't expecting and did an amazing job. Food was tasty and our athletes had a great night team building (we were in Marengo for SCTP Nationals) before going back to competition.
I was extremely Motivated to get out of my house and finally do something active. This experience reminds me why I prefer to be a loner and sit in my house all day. I decided to go on a double date with my friends and the situation got bad before I could even get to a lane. I decided to take care of the dues for my fellow friends, I was charged $84 which is pretty ridiculous for an hour and 30 minutes of bowling. I paid $70 in cash and the remaining $14 on my card. It wasn't till I was getting ready to bowl
I spent some quality time with my family and daughter's friends, we had an enjoyable time and had to celebrate my niece's "W" before I left. ??
We had our company holiday party here. Their HVAC went out prior to us arriving (the day before we found out) and they didn't give us notice or let us know before we got there- they did do their best to make the space comfortable with space heaters etc. The food was ok, as was the service- overall a fun time was had by all.
I attended a company bowling party here and I was blown away. Some plant things to do from bowling to the arcade to the XP Theater. The service and food were superb. The servers were very attentive and pleasant. I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend.
Pretty busy and packed place. The arcade is a bit on the smaller side though plenty entertaining. Got a free glass of lemonade from the bar.
We only played in arcade but it was a lot of fun. A bit pricey especially the bowling at $60 for an hour for a family of 4. My son had fun but plan on at least $30 per kid to do that in the arcade also.
First time here, and I was pleasantly surprised by all the activities they had inside. Bowling Alley lanes are perfect for groups. They have an arcade with a plethora of games to keep the kids entertained, and the food was tasty. Will definitely return!
Came for my daughter?s birthday to bowl an enjoy some food this place came highly recommended. Upon arrival Check in was a breeze. Finding our lane was easy. Our server was the bartender who was busy with about 10 people. I ordered 24 wings a platter of fries and a pitcher of fruit punch. Total came to about $57 no bad. Only complaint would be they need another server other than the bartender. She was unable to preform her job missing key notes about number of people cup an plate quantity. Spoke with the ma
Here with large group, so enjoyed
Nice place for a quick family fun. The price is a bit above the average for bowling, but it's a comfortable location in a city center. Limited food options on site. The shoe rentals are not good .
So bowling alleys your expectations are pretty set but I have been to many this was my first in a Mall parking lot. It's a good Size, the bar is bigger then the bowling area , lanes were good but over oiled (i assume for kids, or just over done) The drinks I felt for a bowling alley high priced, free poor, I got a 5 second poor, they don't ever do specials two bartender, 6 people at the bar table pretty empty, took 8 minutes to get a drink. Bit long but I'm basing this on city bowling bar where you got 30
Recommend the Phillie cheese steak egg rolls. And the fries were perfection. Lovely place for a childs party on a Saturday afternoon. Has a variety of games, pool table was well as bowling.
Great time! Love the atmosphere! Definitely recommend and will be back!
Okay dude straight up I had so much fun here! We stopped in for my wife's birthday and it was a blast
Not for the sensitive! For me, it was too dark, extremely loud, and too many screens-- TVs, ads, even scoreboard showed videos before showing what pins you hit. Our server was friendly and attentive, though we didn't eat because we had dinner plans afterwards. We only bowled and didn't go into the arcade section. Other groups seemed to be enjoying themselves. I hope you enjoy your experience, if you go.
So completely unorganized. Employees seemed very in the dark of how things worked/went/what to do. Poor communication. False promises. And again, I cannot stress how unorganized they were for a weekend. Manager appeared quite uncaring. Didn't look like he worked there.
Very fun place people was nice customers was friendly had very much fun with my wife.
This place is lots of fun for the entire family. Bowling, food, bar, games... the fun is endless!!
Great fun, especially on "Maniac Mondays" when bowling is half price. Hyper Bowling is fun for the kids!
Really like the idea of this place, but there are some things that could be improved. The games are really expensive, the food is good but could be a little better prepared, and you can't see the markings on the lanes because it's black light (which is clearly the reason is did so awful ??). Overall the place is pretty cool, and we'll come back again...we just won't let the kids play the games.
Food is subpar and the arcade is designed only for 10 year olds.
This place is pretty fun! It's an ideal place for a kids party, there's bowling, an arcade, and all sorts of entertainment. If you're not there with kids, the craft beer selection can help drown out the yelling children. But the four TV screens on the wall above the bowling alleys was pretty cool during March Madness! It's a little bit pricier than the average howling alley but it's worth it!
Excellent food, drinks are not strong enough for the price.... This place is an arcade with a bowling alley not vice versa... Great for a group... Plenty to do
Pretty cool bowling alley. Was here for a company gathering and it was a blast. The VIP area was pretty open and clean and the staff was very attentive toward the beginning of the event and the middle. Toward the end, they became less attentive although I wouldn't complain. Most of the event had died down and they were still there on standby. Overall great awareness and staff. Very nice lanes by the way and a quick turnaround for grabbing and returning bowling shoes
It was a fun time. Colleagues and I capped our night here for a quick hour of bowling. Prices were reasonable. I didn't try the food or drinks so I couldn't rate them. The service was very quick.
Wow!! I live 30 min away but I'll be back. Every employee was kind and helpful, food was great, prices were reasonable, and bowling was a blast. Great environment and well done overall!
A great place to bowl! Great food selection. We had a group of 15 and used 3 lanes. I loved that the score board shows how fast your ball is going. Very clean nice place also has arcade game section to enjoy.
I enjoyed my visit here. The space is great with plenty to do. The food was good and the beer selection was pretty decent. They were very friendly and accommodating.
Fun place. Kids had an absolute blast. Food wasn't horrible for a bowling alley, either. Compared to a few other bowling alleys in the Columbus area, it's clean and doesn't draw the wrong crowd. They have a VIP section, with only about 6 lanes and its own server so you don't have to deal with the crowds on the main alleys. And it's no extra cost. It's a fun place but definitely on the expensive side. Regardless, we'll be back.
Look. This place is fine, but I just paid 70 dollars to bowl one game. It's cool looking and all, but there's no universe in which ten frames of bowling is worth 70 dollars. I'll hit up someplace else next time.
I went here for a girls meet up and it was so much fun. We had a server come to our lane to take our orders for food and drinks. The food was tasty and the drinks were good. The place was clean and I was impressed with the overall experience. I would definitely return to this location.
Amazing experience and excellent service from the entire staff. Highly recommend for a great family outing!
Very nice and clean for a bowling alley, but they also make a nice venue. Lomo
Update? Been back a few more times and we were served promptly. The food here is actually pretty good. We don't bowl, just go here every week or so for a night out. Glad to find a new go-to spot for beers and dinner. *********** Been here several times. My only issue is getting table service in the dining area....it's hit-and-miss. Tonight around 5:30 my wife and I sat down, waited 10 minutes then left. The bartender was serving the table next to us and 2 or 3 customers at the bar. It appeared the
Boyfriend took me there for my birthday ..cool place. Servers are very attentive. Loved it
Fun and upbeat place. Friendly staff. 4 stars because I ordered spinach & artichoke dip, which comes with pita bread and tortilla chips. They brought it to me without pita and when I asked for pita, she told me that they didn't have anymore. That's something that should normally be told when placing an order, because I wouldn't have ordered it. But I think the waitress was new
Super fun place! A little one the pricier side but well worth it, in my opinion. The whole vibe there is bougie / high end. My boys loved their birthday there! The arcade was fun, the 3D theater a huge hit with all their friends and the staff was so, so nice! We'll be back!
Was told approximately a 15 minute wait. Ended up going to a different bowling alley after waiting over 30 minutes. Still haven't received the text saying our slot was ready. I'm extremely disappointed. This establishment use to be much better.
This place was an awesome experience EXCEPT a waiter on staff on Tuesday evening (5/14) told me they had VEGAN PIZZA and he was placing that order for me. He was lying. This establishment has nothing vegan (and there's nothing wrong with that) but to LIE and get peoples hopes up and then we are waiting for a fake pizza? Not cool. Let's do better. Won't be back. Our actual waiter was amazing, but this person who lied and said this place had VEGAN pizza -- not.
A great bowling place, pool and arcade! Family friendly! Definitely recommended!
Star Lanes Polaris event room is amazing. Great place for a party with private bowling, billards, ping pong, bathrooms and bar. The food was good. Had a blast at a retirement party for some close friends.
This place was so over priced. I paid for a party. They brought the food out while we bowled. After that we went to to games. I had a room but we had no reason for it. We had already eat. So that was a waste. They charge 18% gratuity. I was told it was for all the people who helped with my party. Shelly helped when we were bowling and we were on our own after that. So a $ 400 party. REALLY! I could?ve paid for everything that day and it would?ve been cheaper.
60 dollars for 3 people to play 2 games when in another area it would cost us 30 or 40. They also didn't wash out one of the glasses and pop was served in a glass that tasted like alcohol which was given to someone underage btw. Also the lighting made the bowling experience not as worth it as most other places.
We have been coming here for YEARS. Tonight we had probably one of the best experiences! Dylan was so sweet and kind. He was incredibly attentive and our kids had a BLAST. We can always count on being entertained, but having a server like tonight was extra special!! Thank you!!
Brought a group of 8th grade students from my school and we had a blast. We used the $25 summer promotion($15 arcade card and 2 VR experiences) and we loved it. I look forward to more class trips here. Staff was very professional and helpful. Thank you.
This is my first bowling in Columbus Ohio, when I tried bowling, very difficult for me to score more ??Bowling place is good to have fun and coming to food, we have ordered veg and chicken pizza, both are delicious and chicken strips are kind of dried, taste not so good then coming to spring rolls are very tasty and service & ambiance is really super Must try this place.
We had a great time celebrating Mother's Day at Star Lanes! It was a great environment for my kids, and our server, Tyler, was attentive and helpful with our food orders. We're planning on coming back for a birthday party for our son!
I always get sticker shock when we bowl here. For bowling and shoes for four people is a lot. The food is good, but not great. The tile on our lane was cracked (in front of the seats) and caught our shoes occasionally. If you have the money, it's fine. However, if you're looking for an affordable bowling outing, you're better off at Columbus Square or Gahanna Lanes.
Company Team Building for the holidays. Second time we've used them for Team Building. They once again did not disappoint us. The appetizers were great and their pizza even better. The two ladies that took care of our group were absolutely amazing. Thank you Star Lanes Polaris.
Nice little arcade and bowling alley decent food and bar
Nice place to have a fun time . I had come with family.
Their private party room is awesome. The staff is attentive and the food is great
The kids had so much fun. However. On the 7D game the guy working forgot to lock me in and I fell while running and got really bruised up. Tried to call the following day to let them know that it wasn't okay and the guy needs to be punished for not locking me in right. Well they never answered and I have yet to receive a call back. Clearly they only care when your there spending your money. We spent a good 500 bucks there this night. Edit: Joe commented to tell me they care so much about safety but has yet
Fun and exciting. Lots of fun games. Bowling is amazing and the food is great.
The food was good, service on point, and a great atmosphere for all.
Always a good time!!! We have had a company party here and spent Mothers Day here recently. Tyler was our server, he was very attentive and our food came out fast and hot!
Had the worst waitress ever, she had a rude behavior, I felt like my family and I weren't important enough because of my color. She would rather make us wait and see for her other guest. I've never felt more profiled in my life. Wanted to tell the managers but I saw one was on his cell phone not doing his job. The children at the desk weren't much help. Her name was Rhonda, we ordered pizza for the kids, and it came out cold. Only reason we actually got food was because another waitress had to go get her a
Awesome place to have fun with friends while watching the football game.
Nicest bowling alley I've been to in awhile. Nice bar, cool games, pool tables, and more. I'll be back for sure.
In the heart of Polaris, Star Lanes shines, A modern twist on bowling, with fine lines. Arcades and lanes, side by side, A place for joy, a space to glide. With balls that roll and pins that dance, Each strike and spare, not left to chance. Lights that gleam, and music that plays, In this haven of fun, where everyone stays. Birthday cheers and teams unite, Under the spell of neon light. Laughter echoes, scores ascend, In this blend of sport and trend. Though a bit pricey, guests do say, The experience is
A little too loud for me personally, but we still had a very good time. Believe it or not, the food was excellent & reasonably priced. Our server (didn't get his name) was very good as well.
Perfect venue. The owner and staff trully care and offer a world class experience. I will be back!
There is a lot to do here besides bowling. There's video games, pool, and virtual reality. You can watch games or whatever on tv because there's also huge screens while you're bowling. They have a nice bar and good food. The staff is over the top polite. It's just a fun place to be
We had our ?after party? after our dinner reception on our wedding day at star lanes, they ended up putting us in the VIP room since we had such a large group, at no extra charge. They made our night so special and everyone had a great time! Thank you to Alyssa and the whole Star Lanes Staff for making our wedding night so fun! :)
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
