As a hospitality student, I have studied the importance of customer service, and my experience at Spins was the opposite of what hospitality should be. Despite the venue being nearly empty, my friends and I were told there would be a 45-minute wait for a lane. We decided to wait inside the bowling alley, spending money on the overpriced arcade games while we waited. When we returned to the front desk after the 45 minutes had passed, we were informed that our lane had been given away because we had "just wa
If I could give zero stars, I would. Came here with a party of six, ready to bowl and have a good time ? instead, we got hit with some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. When we arrived, the place was practically empty, but we were told there would be a 45-minute wait for a lane. Fine. We said we'd wait, and while we waited, we spent time (and money) in their arcade. After 45 minutes, we came back expecting to finally bowl, only to be told that they gave away our lane because we
Stopped here on a rainy Friday with my son. Accidentally looked at the other location?s hours of operation and thought this location was open- They were not, but the woman working let my son and I bowl 2 games anyway. Many people would have just said ?sorry we're closed? but Bri was super friendly and helpful. Even though we live all the way in Kingston, Bri?s friendly demeanor and kind gesture, plus the clean modern space will have us returning in the future!!
We threw a birthday party in the VIP of the bowling ALLEY! For 10 people , shoes included amounted to 320 dollars! I was a little put off by the price but it was 2 lanes in the VIP for 2.5 hours! Everyone there had a blast! The VIP section had a separate room with tons of seating and it was amazing! The desk had 3 teenage boys with one older kid. They were absolutely amazing and kind. Super helpful and made sure if I had other people show up let us exchange shoes for sizes! The entire experience was a nigh
Our group had an awful experience at this bowling alley. From the start, the service was shockingly bad. The young guy at the counter and the waitress were incredibly rude, treating us like we didn't matter. We waited 40 minutes just for our drinks while they happily served other customers who arrived after us. It honestly felt like we were being ignored because of the color of our skin, which is completely unacceptable. This was supposed to be a fun night out, but instead, we left feeling frustrated and di
Absolutely terrible experience. We were told there was a 45-minute wait for a lane, which was fine. Spent money at the arcade in the meantime, only to find out they gave our lane away and made us wait another hour. No apology, no compensation?just a ?too bad? attitude. Basically, they baited us into wasting money while they overbooked. Save your time and cash?go somewhere that actually respects their customers.
2 pool tables but absolutely no good cues. very disappointed. the pool tables are in good condition tho
My family and I had a great time! This place looked great. The food and drinks came out at a reasonable time and were great. We'll be back!
Definitely needs work. Lanes broke every few players. Shoes were all ripped on inside on 3 of the pairs I was given. My friend bought socks from vending machine after wearing the shoes they show that the shoes are not cleaned properly.
I was looking for bowling options in the area and saw that this place seemed nice. The reviews were fair and the photos seemed good so we decided to give it a shot. Conveniently located right on the main road. We got there at around 4 PM on a Sunday and although there were people there, there were still lots of parking spaces and lots of lanes open. This place is pretty big and has a lot to offer...definitely a nice way to kill a few hours. We went to the main counter. The rate at that time was $25 per hour
We just had a birthday party here and the entire staff was helpful! Nick, Ash and the bartender were awesome! Thank you for making it a great day!
Great atmosphere but the staff at the front desk seemed annoyed with everything! Kids played for 3 hours so decided to order food, $90 bucks, pizza was overcooked and the staff was also rude behind that counter.
Came there around 4:10pm after checking their business hours said Tuesday open at 4:00pm? Drove 20mins to there location and still close? There were 3-5 others people there that probably wanna come in to play also but when they saw me pulled the door and still locked?. Please fix your business hours correctly not only by the piece of paper at the front door but also online so it doesn't waste people time and gas to drive there?!!!
Not a fan of the music videos that they have for a family space. However the facilities were pretty clean
Its a nice alley, but the lanes are very oily and its a bit pricey too. They have a good bar/ restaurant and a good arcade for the family. Overall a good alley for a party or friends but not the best for straight up bowling.
Floor was terrible they never clean it couldn't do what you do at a normal bowling alley fishkill is a lot better they at least clean the lanes, the arcade was also terrible barley anything was working and then when I did something that was working like the ticket machine I couldn't even get my tickets it is so stupid you need to fix it or just close like if I could give a zero rating I would especially as well since half your employees have ear phones in and not paying attention fix your employees
I would have given 5 stars but attention to detail is important to me. The food I ordered was delivered in good time. After we finished bowling, noticed I was the only one without fries. Had to go to the kitchen area to ask for fries because the waiter did not notice she did not put that order in. I was the only one who ate alone and I wanted to eat with my fam! The good was good but needs more attention! Bowling experience was a winner!
Runs a promotion for children- they can't even honor said promotion. Woman I spoke to about it was extremely rude. Not a good look.
Friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint is that it is expensive for a single bowler charging per hour compared to other lanes in the area.
The alleys at both Spins, POK and Wappingers, are poorly maintained. I bowl on a league and we are constantly having to call for help - pins fall down, fullracks don't always lower, scores are incorrect. But it's fun to bowl !
It's not my favorite bowling spot, but it still is good for what it is. Staff at the bar was not friendly though and they ended up cutting off orders before we could go. Arcade is fine, but nothing to write home about. Might try again in the future
So far one star is too much. I booked a party almost a month ago and not even two hours later my daughter decided she didn't want it at Spins. The charge was still pending so I called immediately(same day)and was told by staff a refund will be no problem. After calling every few days I'm told by the manager that the owners won't get back to him regarding my refund. I will just have to email them from the site and hope they respond. It's been 25 days of calling and now emailing and no $306.34 refund. I would
It's a cool place to hangout with friends, for recreational activities but not for those are taking bowling seriously. Let's just say that the lanes and equipment needs some work.
Great place for kids. Not suitable for serious bowlers. The lanes were bone dry.
Went to a birthday party in the vip room. Food was served quickly and delicious.
I had a great time here. There were quite a few people here but, it wasn't crowded. I was glad too see everyone out enjoying themselves as well. Nice arcade area too.
I went bowling with my friends daughter and it was just as hout outside as it was inside . No air conditioning.
Very nice, had a lot of fun. Friendly staff.
Very fun place to go with your family! Always clean, and the lanes are kept decent. They play various types of fun music from different time periods. Customer service is always on point!
Horrible place there website shows you can pay by game but when you get here it's only time based. Sickening to make 1 person pay $25 for an hour instead of paying per game like their own website states. FALSE ADVERTISING. Places like this need to go back to NYC and bring back local ownership.
It's okay. Has that classic old school bowling alley feel. The food was surprisingly good and the beer was cheap. Can't complain.
Great place very fun and always a good time. Love the food too. Been our goto bowling spot for awhile now.
I took my daughter and her friends for a birthday party. We had a great time. The addition of the arcade was very convenient and complimentary to the fun my daughter and her friends had. The onion rings, and wings are some of the best I have ever had! The staff although heavily booked was very courteous and professional. One of the waiting staff even gave us complimentary drinks as a gift! We will definitely use this location for future events.
This one was very busy. Had to wait 20 minutes for a lane. I thought we had reserved it so this wouldn't happen. Clean facility. Much better than the one in poughkeepsie. We tried to stay later to bowl more but were told no.
Had a great time and food was quite good. My teens love this place....and the game room.
Had a great time with family. I love that it was clean with a modern touch! The arcade was so much fun for the kids, and (the adults ??) the lanes had a nice lounge area that felt private. 10/10 experience!
Great experience. All staff were professional and courteous, food was quick and much better than expected. Debbie was a pleasure to deal with at the lanes... friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommend Spins Bowl Wappingers.
Two Sundays in a row me and my wife was turned away because the bowling alley wanted to close early. Called ahead of time and was told they close at 5pm, showed up at 330pm and was told the alley was closing early due to lack of business. However, there were 3 other couples that were also turned away with us. So if you plan to bowl on a Sunday do so before 3pm.
Nice place, good bartender. We had a lot of fun for my grandsons birthday party, but it took an hour to get pizza and wings. When the food finally came, it was very good. I'm only rating it a 3 because of the time it took to get food.
Great place to take the family. The arcade and the bowling Alley is awesome. They did a renovation and it has taken the place to the next level. Love it! The food is not to expensive but bring a little extra money. The beer prices a little expensive in my opinion. Each time i have taken my family it has been very clean. The arcade has A LOT of games for children and adults. Definitely would go again. Many of the staff are younger generation BUT provide great energy and customer service. I gave a 4 star in
My boys and I absolutely love Spins in Wappingers. The owner Bob is a very nice man and is extremely helpful & patient with kids. Bri & Nick are always at the front counter when we go on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and they are always super friendly & helpful. I've got 12 & 8 year old boys who love bowling, playing the games in the huge arcade and eating either pizza or burgers when we go. Spins has turned into a weekly activity for us. They've got leagues for adults and kids too. They also have disco bow
Great vibe. Enjoyable place to bowl.
Our family really enjoyed Spins Bowl. Great selection of arcade games. Great choices on the menu and plenty of drinks at the bar to choose from. Prices are affordable and there are usually lanes available. Staff is friendly and courteous. We will, of course, return.
Had a great time bowling with some friends but the bar closes way too early ??.
Place is very dirty.. I seen in the comments people saying it was clean however not the case the bathrooms were disgusting, it seems to have some type of black mold next to fan. Just made our family run out of there an throw out whatever food we had. If there bathrooms are this dirty I cant imagine how they maintain there kitchen. We also had a issue with our spot we had bowled prior. They squeeze everyone next to each other rather then spacing people from one another. We had asked to move into middle where
1st time visiting since it was remodeled, after the parking filled as well, and I must say it's a great place to go for a family night! My son enjoyed his visit. We steered him away from the gaming section, which is a smaller version of another restaurant that has video games and food. My only complaint was that I wanted some food but the kitchen didn't open until 5pm. And I was there at 3:30pm. Will visit again!
The place is spacious and clean. It is well maintained and seems to be popular with the younger crowd. However, the food is absolutely inedible. We ordered a buffalo pizza and an hour later we were presented with a steaming pile of garbage. The sauce was 50% ketchup, 50% salt. The underside of the crust was burned but strategically covered by the sauce and what I can only imagine is 2 week old cubed chicken that was drizzled with some sort of mystery liquid and presented as Buffalo chicken.
It's a bowling alley. But a diet soda was over $4. Strip club prices?
The lanes have a good surface and the seating areas are convenient. The pin setter defaulted once and I lost points. There were no shoes available in my size. Somehow it seemed pretty safe for kids. All in all, a pretty good bowling alley.
Modernized lanes, great pro shop, good selection of food, and a nice bar with live entertainment. They also have a nice arcade for kids who don't want to bowl. This place facilitates events such as corporate and birthday parties. My only issue is that parents need to be informed that there should only be a maximum of 2 persons on the approach with one being a child who might need a parent assistance. Too often do I see a child running on to the approach while someone is in the middle of bowling. Last thing
Very difficult to get in touch with anyone regarding a party that I hosted here where I paid a gratuity online, but then was expected to pay one in person the day of our part as well. Could not get in touch with anyone via social media or email
We had our elopement after party/reception in the VIP room on Oct 27th and it was worth every penny. We bowled for 2 hours. One of those hours we had a food buffet. Then the 3rd hour was spent in the arcade. Everyone had a great time, even my curmudgeon of a Father-in-law said he had fun by the end of the night! They made us feel well taken care of! The lanes had great features too, like you could set it up if you are bowling with kids that on their turns the gutter guards go up just for them. I had never h
The bowling itself was fine and the arcade was fun, it was a very nice place. But we asked for food several times and it took them almost 50 minutes to even come to our lane and ask what we wanted to order. We were only there for a hour so it didn't even make sense to order anymore. Meanwhile the couple next to us received a waiter about 5 minutes after they came.
Call ahead and ask if the air conditioning works before you go to the bowling sauna. What a terrible experience on 100 degree day to go inside and feel the same heat.
So you get what you pay for and it's expensive. Great food, great venue, great service. Everything is clean and well maintained, but not the best place for broke college students. Still, very nice, can't say anything bad about this place (the bathrooms... You know what they're like at a busy bar, it's about the same.) Actually my only complaint is that the atmosphere was a bit busy and might be triggering for someone with a seizure disorder. TV screens are playing a sports game and music videos at the same
Food takes a while to arrive and the games are timed.
Nice and well kept but HORRIBLE staff! Very arrogant, self righteous little snobs don't know of the term "customer comes first" and not their phones. Horrible time just getting simple soda.
Bartender was amazing bowling was fun and the music was good
The facility is modern and actually very nice. Unfortunately, the staff chewed many O paint chips in their youth so it was like dealing with Gomer Pile on an off day, not to mention the foul mouthed beer drinking college kids seated next to us. We bailed after one game.
Always have service with a smile. We take our 4 year old grandson there every few weeks and he really enjoys it. We go during the afternoon. Prices are reasonable and it is kept clean. Good fun for the whole family. My grandson insists that he plays games at the arcade afterward. The arcade itself is where it is pricey and there is never anyone working there to turn in your tickets to get the small prizes.
Mindblowing on budget gaming hub went multiple time and loved it every single time.
I am only rating our experience here as high as a two because this spins was very clean and the remaining staff was friendly. HOWEVER the employee that my son and I encountered here with the blue hair was one of the nastiest employees I have met at a business in a long time. We live an hour away and my son wanted to bowl after the Halloween store and we were made to feel not only stupid but like our presence was an inconvenience and annoyance to her. My son's shoes were too big but he was too scared to ask
Seems like everytime I'm excited to go it's closed, for some reason or another. Been 3x this past year. This time it was ?Summer Hours?. That's a new one.
We decided to take our three young kids to the arcade, and not bowl. We get it about covid precautions etc. However we attempted to placed an order for food and were told flat out no because we did not have a lane. I can understand having a bar closed, but refusing to serve pizza and chicken tenders AND not have ANY seating available is just wrong. News Flash indoor dining is at 50% capacity. Completely frustrated, and got food somewhere else.
This place was great. The food and drinks, but the food service is under nee management. I suggest that you est first before going. The woman making our pizza had mo gloves on no hair net. Took out her phone went outside returned and never washed her hands. The bowling was great. Sundays prices were awsome.
Pretty nice bowling experience, I'm not much of a bowler myself, but I had a good time in the arcade. The quadruple date that I was dragged on was a lot more fun given I could pay attention to the music videos in the background, and run off to try and win good prizes. Overall, I highly recommend this place, especially on a cold or rainy day when you'd rather be inside and stay active!!
Nice family fun center in general, clean. Came Sunday afternoon closed at 6 and no food after 4:30 and arcade closed at 5:30 despite advertised hours much later. Lanes obviously hadn't been oiled in many days. My daughter's 8 pound ball got stuck half a minute spinning behind the pins almost every shot which was annoying and took away a good 10 minutes of our bowling time which is a rip when you're at $25/hour..
Fun bowling to take the family to. It is a little bit on the pricier side compared to Tarsio?s bowling alley in Newburgh. Outside of that they have all the usual things you'd look for in a bowling alley. Arcade machines, snack bar, bar, etc.
The staff was really nice. I have an autistic Nephew and the bar staff was cool with him playing with the pool table
We had birthday party today...it was amazing experience for kids. Very nicely arranged. Good food and prompt service by Heather.(both). Many thanks team making party successful.
Great placed for fun with the whole family.. The newly remodeled inside is really cool. The adults can also hit the bar with live music. I will try out the food next time..
Brought my 7 year old niece. She decided that she only wanted to play in the arcade. We had a great time. I'm looking forward to trying the bowling next.
This place looks way nicer than before, but the customer service sucks. We were very disappointed with our experience there today, and our family will never be back. The owner should retrain or replace employees with ones that know how to interact better with customers. I also preferred how you used to pay per game, so that you could take your time and enjoy your game and get food in between playing, now you pay $25 per hour to rent the lane plus $3 per person so you want to rush through in order to get a c
Had a great time. Arcade is a little pricey but has some awesome games. Food is pretty good, overall has a good atmosphere and has a bar!! They did some nice renovations when it became Spins.
Great service and separation of each of the lanes being used to safely bowl. The arcade was also fun with lots of games and decent prizes. The food selection was very limited, but snacks and drinks were still available in vending machines. Loved the socks and little bowling trophy in one of the vending machines.
Very nice place. Friendly service. If it's busy, you'll need to wait they give you an alarm that will go off when it's your turn. The lanes are nice and the bumpers go up and down without issue.
Horrible experience and awful service, worst experience ever
The place is good but not for a birthday of a 5 year old kids 1/2 of the time I was running behind my kid on the bowling tracks lol
Good time. Game room with arcade and ticket games that can be redeemed for small prizes. Online reservations worked well and lane was ready when we showed up. Heads up that food is a bit on the expensive side for the small portions. Overall a good experience.
Went there for a B-day party, kids had a great time, will be having the kids' party there. Nice and clean, worker very polite...
The remodel the alley and looks very nice and clean. not a big house and seating is cramped if you have too many people on a lane. I would say max 4 people to a lane and even then it's tight to fit everyone. So it's not set up for leagues unfortunately. But open and cosmic bowling is fun.
Absolutely horrible. Paid I think$35 for one hour and then the lanes weren't even working right. First the lane completely turns off. Then its my turn to bowl and one pin falls out of the top and laid on its side. So I didn't even get to bowl one frame before I lost my money. Then I asked for coffee and it was mass confusion. This place is a joke.
We rented the "Party Room" for my grandson's 6th birthday and the kids had so much fun...the adults booked to so it was not only for kids...and the cherry on the cake was their pizza was very good...we brought cupcakes and juice...all around good time.
It okay, the only thing is they charge you $ 25 dollars until your time runs out. I think we were there just for a hour in half, a party of 4. So we finished 1 came and couldn't finished the 2nd one. I prefer paying by game and not being on a timer. You have continue playing before your time runs out, never been to a bowling place like this.
I threw a birthday party here for my child (5 yrs old) and it was a hit! The staff did a great job tending to our guests to ensure the event ran smoothly. I would definitely another party here!
I love it?best place to visit for having fun?I go bowling at this place at-least twice a month?it's a great place to hangout with friends? the employees here are also very friendly and very polite?
The price was right, and there's a decent sized arcade, plenty of space, and comfy chairs. Food is not bad. Try the teriyaki sauce (my husbanband loved it)
Nice alleys, but when we went, the arcade was not working. We were there for over an hour and it wasn't fixed. They had a problem with the electricity. They have a separate food place which didn't clean up at the lanes . We had to call someone over to clean up before we started our game.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
