Attended a birthday a month ago and held a birthday party there this week. Both times the place was clean and well maintained. We it's a great place to have a party. Kids and adults have a blast. Nice and accommodating staff. Fun games. Clean environment. Highly recommend!
The place is great, fun for all ages. The staff was friendly for the most part until I got Joe. When I purchased 10 ride tickets, I was told they were suitable for 90 days. Since I arrived at 9 pm, I thought it was a good deal. Joe did not stamp my extra tickets and said that the tickets are only good for the same day. How can we buy bundle tickets if they only suit one day? Their loss, if I come back, I would probably continue spending, right? And if I don't, I just gave them free money, but I would still
Soooooo Fun!!!! me and my son had the funnest time we came here we bought Tickets we went on this speedy track. We played mini arcade games. We went around the whole building. We even went upstairs and we found a little game room. I had no clue they had a game room really interesting.!
We were in town to spend some time with out adult kids. This stop was a last minute decision and man did we have a good time! The staff are all over the top great service.. we went to ride the carts and play mini golf. We did that as well as the arcade then decided to try the laser tag not thinking we would really get into it with all of us being older but holy heck was that fun. It was a real toss up between the laser tag and the F1 carts as to which was the best. We will definitely be back the next
Speedys is a family favorite in our home. This is my son?s 9th birthday and we've celebrated at speedys since his 6th birthday! We are grateful for the speedys staff for making this happen!
Been coming here since I was a kid with my dad. Now i?m a mom myself and was able to bring my own child. There's been updates a there should be with time but the fun and customer service remains intact. I can't wait to put this in the routine of fun that me and my child do to build memories together.
My son and I went for his birthday. It was just me and him there. Unfortunately I was unable to ride the go karts due to my long hair. I told the cashier, I can just make a braid and tie it up but there were no exceptions. We had no choice but to leave. I posted a picture of the mannequin so you know that if you're in the red zone, you can't ride!
Hi I'm Eliot, a contributor to make sure people understand restaurants, parks, etc. I went to Speedy?s yesterday, a delightful experience. The staff was very kind and patient. I do love the Go-Karts, but I really wanna try the super carts XD! I had a lot of fun. You pay 9 dollars for a normal go kart, and there are 3 other types of go karts too (two seated, super, F1). There is a BIG arcade, restrooms, vending machines, laser tag, etc. Check out my other reviews. Please like this review!
Staff was friendly enough, but it's just another money grab place. It was frustrating not to be able to accrue tickets because of buying one of the bundles that included game play - my kids were very disappointed. Additionally, PAY ATTENTION TO THE HAIR RULE?..they do not have any safety measures available for those with longer hair, they just discriminate and tell you that you can't ride the go karts because they ?previously had an incident?. So, maybe invest in something that can be worn so that everybody
We had an amazing time. We basically did everything (go-cart, Lazer tag, putt-putt, and played the games). There is a package you can purchase to do all of that. The only thing I didn't like was for the games you can play for an hour without winning tickets. Overall, it's great family fun, and it reminded me of my childhood.
First time going was super nice and not what I expected. Guillermo was soo helpful and let us know what was available since we never been. My son liked that we were able to do go kart and play arcade games too!! Definitely will be back!!
So much fun! I've been wanting to come here for so long! We spent half the day just enjoying each others company and I wish we would have gone sooner! Will definitely be back everything from put put to go karts and arcade games. Fun for everyone
I have visited nearly 250 arcades across the country and I am OBSESSED with this place. The memorabilia placed throughout the arcade was magnificent, and a feature that stood out to me was custom screens for each arcade game on each individual Intercard swiper. You can tell that whoever owns this arcade, knows what they are doing and knows how to maintain the games. This place is so cool! The only reason Speedy's did not receive my last star is because of the pricing. Many games in the arcade are upwards of
I was going to leave it alone, but I felt the need to share. Apparently they have a no long hair policy when it comes to riding the go karts. I'm a black woman and my hair is currently braided back into cornrows with a bun. The way it's done, I can't unravel the bun without messing up the style. I tried explaining that and that my bun was secure but they still wouldn't let me ride without showing how long my braids are. While irritating, I would have been fine but then another young lady strolled in wearin
Use to be one of our go to spots but we recently attended the establishment and it was one of the WORST experiences we have EVER HAD! Staff was HORRIBLE and RUDE, very unprofessional and ridiculous when it came to the go karts. We will definitely not be returning to or having any birthdays or functions here EVER AGAIN! They do not follow their own rules that are posted and DO NOT communicate with the parents or children in an appropriate manner.
Speedy's Fast Track in Houston is the ultimate thrill-seeker's paradise! From heart-pounding go-kart races to exhilarating arcade games, this place has it all. The arcade section offers a variety of games for all ages, creating a perfect balance for families and groups. Went there on a weekday 1.5 hours before closing. The staff let us know that they are closing shortly, they behaved well and let us look around. Loved the excellent customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
Unless you are bald or have a Dora haircut, don't expect to be allowed to ride to go karts. They refused to allow my sister or her daughter to ride because their hair wasn't shoulder length or shorter. We ended up leaving because I was next in line and they probably would have had a heart attack if they saw how long my hair is. It's insane! Our kids left sad as well. Might go back with a short hair wig though.
I visited this location during spring break with my children, hoping to gather information before purchasing a package. Since we were unfamiliar with the area, we decided to sit at a table while figuring out our options. Unfortunately, at every table or chair we tried to sit at, my children and I were repeatedly asked to move?each time in an unnecessarily rude manner. It quickly became clear that we were not welcome. As a paying customer, especially one visiting from out of town, I expect at least a basic
What a fun place! Here you can play mini golf, go kart, play any number of arcade games, and really have a fun time! It's fairly affordable, family friendly, although there is quite a bit of noise throughout the whole place. It's not a bad thing but it definitely can't be loud, make sure you prepare yourself! Super fun though and definitely a place I would recommend coming for a date, or a family night out.
Great place for Sure! With my kids ages 16 and 23 we all enjoyed the fast cars and the adrenaline rush!! Lots to eat and to do.. Wished it was more affordable to do more offen... that's why the 4 instead of 5 stars!
I understand that places have their policies for the safety of guests, but also understand that there should be alternatives to those policies. We came today 4/14/2025 for my daughter?s 10th birthday. She was TOO excited to ride the go karts only for the guy in charge to say that her hair was too long. Did he even checked? No, he just assumed. My wife told him that she could put a bun or a beanie that she had in the car, he said NO. Why??? You ruined a girl?s birthday!!! Her heart was broken, she was upset
Amazing place took a trip down memory lane this place has been a staple of the spring branch district came here as a kid yesterday I brought my kids amazing love it will be back
We were in town for vacation to other places and found this as well. This is a cool little hangout! We just played miniature golf but they were very accommodating. If we are back in town we will be back!
READ BEFORE YOU GO. They WILL NOT let you ride in the go karts if your hair is ?too long? although this rule seemingly only applies to certain races. Considering my friend who is black was not allowed to go, even though she was going to stuff her hair in her jacket. But two other girls with their long hair in a bun were to go on the track. When we confronted them about this they made it a big deal and denied they let them on, we literally watch them go on and race several times, and so we left. Honestly t
Brought my kids here 2 times already and they love it. They always have a great time on the go carts. They also like the game room. We will be returning soon to try out the golf course. So far so good at this place. Haven't been disappointed yet!
Great experience! My wife and I took our 4 year old daughter here on a Saturday. Arrived about 1 PM. The parking lot was about 60% full. We spent about $60 here between a few rides with our daughter on go-karts and arcade games. Lots of stuff to do here! Try to get here early because the parking lot is a bit of a mess, and when we left about 3 PM or so it was very crowded.
Great place for the kids and fun for the adults! They have some of the original arcades which is really cool and shooting games along with motorcycle arcade racing air hockey and a ton more! Affordable and the guys there are very helpful and treat everyone with respect!
the tracks were a little short, but the arcade had all the classic games you could want, friendly, helpful staff, clean tracks and bathrooms. A little spendy on the karts, but we ended up getting in for free by sending one of the employees part of our pay through cashapp! would go again!
My family had a great time here! We did EVERYTHING!!! Go Karts, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, played the arcades, sung Karaoke! We closed it down, we were literally the last people to leave. The staff is very nice. I lost my wallet there over night I they call me as soon as they found it. I was relieved that I didn't have to cancel all my credit & debit card, nice job staff I appreciate you guys
Awesome Cart Layout Feel Like A Simulation Of A Real Track. Mini Golf Is Good But To Many People Want To Play That You Feel Rush On Moving On To The Next Put. Arcadas Are good Selection But A Bit Priced. Outside Snack Truck Is A Finger Licking Experience Price Is Fair. Part Tables And Birthday Party Area Is A Little Tight. Be Back For More Fun.
We had my son's 15th birthday here. It was awesome. Worth the drive.
Disappointing Experience at Speedy?s My visit to Speedy?s was far from enjoyable, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a fair or professional experience. I'm from Miami, and I was really looking forward to trying this place, but it was a complete letdown. During our ride, I was in first place with my friends right behind me, and we were all in the top three. But on the final lap, they inexplicably slowed me down for the entire ride. This completely ruined the experience?what's the point of put
My church youth group attended. Laser tag wasn't as much fun as expected and some of the girls couldn't ride the cars because of the hair policy. In the end, they let me switch out most of the tickets for arcade passes. Overall I think this place would be the most fun for a group of teenage boys.
Great place to play video games, drive go karts, and play minigolf. Relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. Splurge on the F1 Kat's, they are worth it. Bring bug spray though, be the mosquitos are out in force.
If I could give this place zero stars I definitely would. As soon as we pulled up the kids that work there seen us getting out of the car, and lied to us and told us ?they closed at 10pm? SPRING BREAK WEEK! They didn't know that I called the day before. Then while proceeding to purchase tickets all the teenagers that work there started bomb rushing us (they were pissed because they wanted to get off early. The place is literally ran by kids and not well mannered ones. #March 2025
What a cool place!! I went during a summer afternoon and it wasn't at all crowded. The game room is huge, with billiards, pinball machines, arcade machines, skee ball, etc. The mini golf course is very well maintained, and they were tricky holes! I will definitely be back here soon, if not just be a regular!
The best value, old school go kart and arcade, karaoke, mini golf spot in HOUSTON. One kid, 4 kart rides and an hour of games under $50!
5 stars! I enjoyed the games here on my date night with my boyfriend. This was my first time coming and I loved my experience! They have all sorts of games such as connect four, AirHockey, shooting games, driving games, whack a mole, go kart, laser tag, and so much more! I believe laser tag is $9 a game and if you want the fast go kart it'll be about $11 per race. If you are a bit hungry or thirsty there is a taco truck outside that has the juices like Pi?a, horchata, mango, etc. I paid about $4 for a large
Rules have changed and women with longer hair, no matter how safely and firmly attached and lifted to their head, cannot ride. They say ?safety?, I say discrimination, but yall fellas enjoy. Won't be returning.
We had fun. I had no idea it was still open. The golf course was interesting. Can be crowed in some parts. They kept the place very clean. Parking can be crazy if you don't get there at a good time. A lot of games to choose from. Lazer tag was fun as well my 3 year old was able to participate.
I went there with my two girls months ago and had a real nice time! The real reason why I'm editing this now and not then is because I had lost my wallet and all my credentials around that time and had no idea where it was. I was really bummed and had to get a whole new drivers license and EVERYTHING along with my bank cards. Recently, they sent me back my wallet in a package directly to my house and held onto my lighter. I am so pleasantly surprised by this act of kindness. I called them to express my grat
This is a place for kids 12 and under do not recommend for grownups unless you are doing the go carts. Other than that the games inside are for smaller kids probably 6-12. But fun overall for kids
Formula 1 karts are awesome! They go up to 30mph. Karts handle nicely on corners. Straightaways aren't as thrilling, but still a fun time nonetheless. Be safe and considerate of other drivers as you share the track, and of course enjoy. ??
I used to go here when I was a kid. Since then they've added a 2 story laser tag, pool tables, putt putt golf, retro gaming section and more arcade games plus a lot more go karts including F1 karts which are adult only REALLY fast karts. This is a great place for fun that has something for everyone.
Came here with my friends , was denied to go kart even though I said I will tie and tuck in my hair in a sweater but then I see two white girls with long hair tie their hair up and went on MULTIPLE TIMES and the workers wanna lie and say they never gave any tickets for anybody to go kart today , they are racist , don't go here if you are POC??
If I could give 0 stars I would. Denied me getting on go karts because my hair was supposedly too long and past my wait when it isn't, it doesn't even go past my tailbone and I can easily put it in a tight bun. Not once did they take an actual look at my back to compare and just assumed it was too long. Since when do they deny people because of hair, I understand having to put it in a bun but to deny me? Ridiculous.
The pricing is complicated that's why I couldn't give 5 stars. Overall it's a cool place for family fun. The lazor tag is a pretty fun concept. Go karts are good and the game room is ok.
Been here multiple times. Always a memorable experience. Enjoy the mini golf the most.
I went there Saturday March 8 2025 .Took my daughter and best freind All I can say is great customer service. The area were very clean and clean restrooms. They rode the go carts they had about 6 guys checking seatbelts and on the track. My daughter go carts they had slight flat tire, they didn't hesitate and gave her a free round.Thank you to all the Great workers and Managers.
This place will bring the little kid out of you. I am from Louisiana and everytime I go to Houston before I leave I have to make sure I visit this place... the go karts are our go to f1 to be exact. But I was kinda disappointed when we went recently. I had braids in my hair so I couldn't ride for some past accidents that happened. Bummer.. but they gave a refund and we played the games on the inside still had fun though. Will definitely be going back with shorter hair though or in a tight knot
Great place to have fun, it does get a little packed in the weekends so I do think it's best to go during the week if you want to really enjoy your time here.
I've been going here with my family since I was a little girl! Now I take my children there! It has become a generational hot spot for family fun! It has only gotten better with time! Customer for life!
Had my 8 year old son?s birthday party here and everyone had a blast - even the adults! What a fun place for everyone! The staff was super helpful and accommodating especially the day manager - Eddie!! He was super helpful!
Rude ass service the cashier was trynna play games with us and not give us our card back thinking it was funny. I am 16 and i do work and i know how to give GOOD customer service unlike them. I will not be back never again. Manager was being rude to my mom explaining everything but what shes was trying to ask. We jokingly said to the cashier to give us scissors to cut our friends hair and he actually did hand us scissors.
This is a fun place to bring the family to ride go karts and to do a little gaming, and the prices aren't bad at all. Each ride is 5 minutes, and the course is pretty good. It has a few curves in it and it gives you a little challenge. The lines can get long sometimes, but they aren't too bad. The basic and 2 seater go karts have a decent amount of speed to them, and they also have super karts and F1 karts that go much faster. There are games on the inside if you want to win tickets for prizes, and they als
This place was so much fun. I can't wait to go back again. It made me feel like a kid again. Great Games and even better staff. Love you guys. See you again soon.
Ok experience, no food sales indoors, only a food truck. Only vending machines for drinks. Warm inside the arcade room
This is a fun track with a nice arcade. Been here many times with the kids. The only negative is sometimes parking can be tight, which tells you how popular it is. My personal opinion is the F1 karts ($11 for 5 minutes) aren't worth it but your mileage may vary.
The go-carts are the main attraction. There are a lot of arcade games but they there's no enough room. Try the 18 holes mini-golf. It's fun and challenging.
Great experience, been here since I was little and still lives up to the hype!! Will be coming back!!
Had to bring our own food, but this was a very fun place for kids and adults.
The best privately owned go cart arcade in Houston! They have every type of game, air hockey, pool tables, mini golf, Lazer tag, and trivia all in one compound. There are different power levels of go carts and tandem carts to drive with another person. I've been going there for almost 35 years so to have a family venue to share memories with my kids is nostalgia filled memories.
Everything you could want to do all in one place. Laser tag, mini golf, video games, go karts and even a karaoke booth! Reasonably priced entertainment for our family of 6.
Great place! Super friendly staff, very clean, lots of arcades. We had a great time
Fun for all ages. One adult, 2 kids expect to be spending somewhere in the range of $60. But you'll have a good time, kids will love it and that can last you somewhere around 2 hours if you spend it correctly. And usually that's enough for the kidos. It gets very busy Friday and Saturday night. If you wanna avoid long lines and bunch of other kids that are not yours, come earlier. Sunday during the day is a good weekend time. Overall, my kids love it and always just mentioning the name, they get excited.
I took my teen boy here for the first time and we enjoyed the go karts the most, we'll definitely be back soon.
Very unfortunate, because it's a cool place. For little money, you can have a great time at the track or the arcades (never tried laser tag or mini golf). I had visited last year, came in with my hair braided, they made me tie it up for security reasons, but let me ride several times, and had a blast. From my last visit, I have recommended this place a bunch of times to my friends and family. Finally got the chance to come back today, and based on my prior experience, i decided to bring my hair in a bun. Fo
Best go kart track I think I've ever been to. They had 4 levels of go karts ranging from doubles to slow to hella fast. All 5 of us enjoyed it. Staff was friendly, prices were good too, not overpriced. Would definitely recommend.
We had so much fun on the racetrack and there are lots of arcade games, laser tag, and mini golf. Lots of the classic arcade games! My first time here and i had fun! Next time i will try the miniature golf and laser tag.
Wish I could give 0 stars . Definitely experienced rasicim here . Do not bring your African American children ? they are not welcomed if they have ? long hair ? they told me I couldn't ride the go carts or do anything else because my hair was too long & would get ? caught ? in the go cart . Even when I said I would put it up in a pony tail , meanwhile there were people of other descents with their hair as long as mine. I've never heard of anything like that in my life .
They have gokarts for all ages, mini golf, and other games. Parking is in short supply during busy times, but it's better during the week. We had lots of fun! [EDIT: Now that I know about the 'Popular Times' feature for their location, I will be more likely to visit. It's very helpful to know in advance whether or not the parking will be scarce.]
We rented out a two hour session for a couple hundred, they allow pizza delivery at the location. With the two hours came 6 arcade cards to play any games with flashing green lights for up to 3 consecutive plays on the longer games like zombie shooters, etc. There's a Laser Tag and a Go-Kart track for 3 rides in the cost that's usable even AFTER the two hours of two tables and arcade game cards expire. Was a full place on a Sunday 4p to 6pm but we stayed until 8:30pm.
Great place to go and have some fun!
this place is so cool, came here and had so much fun. it was my first time trying kart and i didn't know what to expect. while the boost noise kinda scared me it was a cool adventure and since there was no one it was less intimidating. i was surprised by their giant track! also on the inside they have bunch of fun games, it reminded me of dave and busters just much bigger. i tried new games which was a lot of fun and the guitar hero as well. the guitar was pretty heavy lol. anyways i think this is a cool s
Very good time for your money. Best to do it all and enjoy ??
My kids don't get out much they have a few mental health issues. But we wanted to take them to go karting. My son was going drive the super karts he couldn't get his seat belt on. The The attendant I got his attention and he was really nice and helped him with the belt he went around the track once came back in before everyone else cuz apparently the way I was too bumpy but the attendant from far away saw that he came in before everyone else and he ran over asked him what was wrong he showed him the way to
Great arcade and go-karts. Awesome selection of old school games too! This place is cool for kids or grown ups!
I have lived in Houston for all my life and this was my first time visiting. This place is awesome. They have a ton of games, miniature golf, laser tag, go karts, karaoke and so much more. I felt like the biggest kid. The staff is really friendly and they have some of the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen.
Really nice outdoor golf place, helpful staff and a nice bar area. Nice date spot or family day out.
I have been brining my family here for over a decade riding go carts with my daughters shoulder length hair. On this particular night out celebrating a birthday a Hispanic gentleman with a beard refused to let her on even though her hair was tied back. Never coming here again! The upstairs room is also left attended for teenagers to use it as a make out room. DEFINITELY bigger concerns to be worried about!!!
First time here. Had a bday party, place is very clean and well maintained. Kids had s blast with the go karts
Best place to take your kids.. staff is great. And the games are awesome.. from the Pacman to Chaos.. go carts are cheaper then most places plus they have laser tag and golf and no wonder they have been in the Houston Press.. keep it up. we will be back very soon
I grew up going to Speedy's ! We come back for the best prices in Go karts rides!
Never coming here again, owner making weird and racist comments. Very rude unprofessional and how of this stuff does even work. Very cheap and weird place
Been there for 3 birthday parties, all of them I had an excellent time and the kids had an excellent time. The place may not look brand new and updated because it isn't. Yet, don't let that fool you, the arcade games run from old school, i.e., Pac Man, to more modern fare, i.e., Tekken. They have, laser tag, miniature golf, pool, skee-ball, foosball, and of course go-carts (from 2-up style for adult to drive and kids to ride along with, this is for kids not old enough to drive yet old enough to safely fit i
Very nice place for teens and kids i love it, family friendly, get the fastest go cart . Very fun
Go Kart was great. Kids didn't enjoy mini golf (too difficult for them). Arcade air hockey was fun
This place has not changed a bit...still a lot of fun like when I first started coming as a kid. Security is definitely an issue at this place!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
