Sparks Pinball Arcade - Premier Lanes

Sparks Pinball Arcade - Premier Lanes

Reviews Summary

Sparks Pinball Museum offers an extensive collection of well-maintained pinball machines spanning decades, with many praising its nostalgic appeal and playable vintage games. Most reviews highlight the fun atmosphere, friendly patrons, and unique all-you-can-play events. However, some note issues like broken machines, long waits during leagues, or poor signage (it's inside a bowling alley). While staff are generally helpful, a few complain about unresponsive service or malfunctioning games. The venue also features a bar, kitchen, and pool tables, adding to its appeal. Despite minor drawbacks, it’s widely regarded as a must-visit for pinball enthusiasts, especially for its variety and well-preserved classics.

Fantastic line up of arcade and pinball machines. Fun information is posted on each machine. It is great to read. The walls are covered with interesting items. Great to visit and on my go to arcade locations in the area.

This is not a pinball only location. This is inside of a bowling alley. After reviewing the website, I was very excited to visit this location. However when I arrived there was NO signage or reference to the pinball arcade. I was initially confused because nothing says this is inside of a bowling alley. When i got inside you have to go through the bowling alley to get to the pinball machines. There was a nice variety but 90% of the machines were blocked by people playing billiards, crowding, and/or out of

A Pinball Paradise: Sparks Pinball Museum is a Must-Visit! If you love pinball, Sparks Pinball Museum in Chesterfield, Michigan, is an absolute gem! I've been a regular here for years, and every visit feels like a trip back in time through the wonderful world of pinball. This isn't just a museum where you gaze at vintage machines from a distance; every game is playable! From the earliest pinball machines to the most modern, the collection spans the entire history of the game, and it's all in pristine condi

First visit. I hate leaving a bad review but this place was a huge disappointment. Don't trust the high star reviews. My husband and I came here for a fun date. The place was dead. We opened a tab, ordered some drinks, got our quarters ready. We went through and checked out each machine. There's approximately 20-30 going based on memory and they all have little blurbs on their history. I thought this was super cool. Then once we checked each one out and went to play this is where the buzz kill happened. The

Thanks for the google reviews saying this was inside a bowling alley! Probably wouldn't have went inside since we couldn't see anywhere it said pinball. Great find! So much fun playing different pinball machines but I could have stayed all day playing pac man for 25 cents. Machines around the change your money into quarters. Loved that all the machines had write ups about them, enjoyed reading some of them. We will be back for sure

Williams/Bally pinball heaven. They have all the best machines from the pinball golden age! Once a month, they do a $10 freeplay event, which is an amazing value! This place is definitely worth the visit!

It seems like there is a lot of reviews that are awesome and I hate to be the one star. I went to the one in the mall in troy...it was awesome...I loved it. I expected the same thing when I went to the new Baltimore location and man I was let down. The chairs at the games was used for drinking and hanging out...10-15 games weren't working. I put money into the machines and nothing happen. The change machines were down. it was a total let down. Now if i was there to bowl and i happen to play some pinb

Just a fun place to go! Dr. Who was our favorite by far! So many second chances!

Went here on a date night with my husband last weekend and it was a hit! Not only can you play pretty much unlimited pinball, but you can also learn the history behind all the different pinball machines, which I find fascinating! You can tell this was created by someone with a deep passion for pinballs, and it was great to experience someone's passion project. 10/10, would definitely visit again!

Almost every machine is $1 per play, and you can tell they aren't well maintained. Any that I tried had very unbalanced magnets and the pull is way too strong. And the establishment in general really needs cleaning; the machines and bathroom were gross. No comment on the gay pride flags, but be aware.

Clean and busy. Patrons were friendly. Staff seemed very busy. Good selection of balls. Lanes well oiled, shoes were clean. Over all a very decent experiance except my wife whooped me in all the games. Lol

This places is absolutely incredible! Can't recommend it enough so many great pinball games, great staff, they even have pool tables which I feel is harder to find these days! Just a classic place!!

Most of the games are $0.50 to a dollar and there is plenty to choose from. They also have an amazing bar I don't drink. I haven't been in but it's cool as well as pool table and it is a bowling alley so there's that as well. The food smells good but I'm not eating tonight

Love this place! If I only ?? bowled... Fair drink and food prices. Most pins are .75, with the newer Sterns at a buck.

We had an ok time. Several machines didn't work or stole our quarters. Online says they have other games besides pinball and we found that false.

16 all day pass is good deal. Over that people will walk by. Make it up in volume.

What a great collection of pinball tables. My girl took me there all the way from Wyandotte on Sweetest Day. She knows what a fan of pinball I am and I was blown away by the number of tables there was. Can't wait to return!

What a top-notch collection of pinball machines! Love that you can learn a bit about the machines as you play. Make sure to play the champion pub!

Nice ambience, great staff and wonderful bands!

Always a Blast playing some amazing Pinball Tables!!

If you love pinball, then you must check out Sparks! It has 50+ machines, with most of them being the great Bally and Williams games from the 80s and 90s. The machines are in good shape, and have fair pricing and replays set on them. Located in a bowling alley, so there's bowling and food/drink options as well

Variety of games is great, but the maintenance level is the worst that I've seen anywhere so if you're actually a pinball person, you will not have a good time there. There is potential for greatness here but it is presently unrealized.

First time to Sparks. If we were more local, we would be here often. ?? I love the selection of pins. They even have my favorite pin Champion Pub- which is not one you see everywhere. Mike was super friendly. He chatted with me about pinball trivia and helped us with some tips on the games. Awesome place!

Not only do they have some of the latest and greatest pinball machines but they also provide interesting information about each of the classic machines as well. If you liked it ball you are going to have a blast and you might even learn something about your favorite game!

Games that work are super fun but there are more games that are broken then not, Twilight Zones flippers are out of sinc and someone added a rubber bit by the lock so it's impossible to shoot, balls on the Addams Family always go straight down the middle, I counted 6 machines with flippers that got stuck upwards. Theatre of Magic and Monster Bash were amazing, but the rest were either broken or about to break, I loved this place back in July 2022 and I begged to come back, but when I did, mostly every singl

They have quite a few pinball machines. They are mostly $1 to play with some at $.75 with a few at $.50. They also have some other arcade games. Wasn't as dirty or gross as I thought it might be. Actually very nice.

What an amazing collection of awesome pinball machines! I help run a pinball league that plays there known as Chesterfield Pinball League (on Facebook) which welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. The league is temporarily shut down due COVID-19 concerns but hopes to resume soon now that bowling alleys are reopening. Definitely worth the drive to plunge a few silverballs ...there's also a kitchen and full service bar if you're hungry or thirsty! CHEERS!

My favorite selection of pins in the thumb! Amazing set of 90s classic games and some of the newest pins as well! The pinball operator here is the nicest person ever. I highly recommend!!

If you are from the pinball era this place is for you. There is amazing amount of pinball machines with a bar and food. This resides inside the a bowling alley also don't be full of well worth the trip and lots of fun.

Love this place. Nachos, beer, bowling, pinball...what more could you ask for?!

What an amazing trip down memory lane. They had my favorites, Theater of Magic, Indiana Jones, Adam's Family, Diner Time, Star Trek, Twilight Zone. Not to mention, a Budweiser version of Tapper.

Absolutely amazing! Never seen so many pinball machines in one place my entire life!! Very fun experience at a rather cheap cost.. well, depends on how much you play the games ;P

This place is the most pinball machines I've seen. If you like pinball, I can't imagine you'd go anywhere else.

Lots of pinball choices. Only 4 out of 5 because two of the machines took my money however I couldn't play because they were broken. This place still is worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

Omg!!! Pinball, are you serious!?! Life is wonderful. And $10 all you can play Fridays once a month. Have I died and gone to heaven??? Someone pinch me.

Bowling is good and customer service was really good. Didn't get a chance to try any food, bar or the arcade. Seems like a good spot to bring a family or friends

If you can think of a classic pinball table from the 80's or 90's, they most likely have it at Sparks Pinball Museum. The majority of machines are in mint condition, and those that are broken seem to get fixed very quickly from what I've noticed, but if for some reason a machine eats your quarter, the staff are very reasonable and will give you a refund.

Lots of great pinball machines to play! They were all in really good working order and very playable. There were several broken, but they were clearly marked with signs.

Definitely a longer wait when leagues have to finish. Very busy all the time long waits for pool and bar

Great spot for pinball with mostly classic games you don't see often. The little signs with some of the machines history is a nice touch.

Nice collection of the worst maintained games in the state.I've been there multiple times and it gets worse every time.

If you enjoy pinball and retro arcade games I can think of no better place in the area. Huge selection with the history of each machine.

Been here several times over the years. Great variety of games to choose from!

Great spot to hang out but pool tables are very run down

Bowling, pinball, and a variety of food options. Most pinball machines I've seen in one spot in Michigan. They even have Cirqus Voltaire! Deducted one star for a number of out of order machines.

So much fun for the family!

They have a great collection. Pinball enthusiasts will have a great time. Hidden gem place too, no posers.

Very cute, lots of options. Good to chill after bowling n such.

They have a lot of games some I haven't seen before. Great place to wind down and play.

Best pinball arcade in Metro Detroit.

Great location and right next to the bar!

Great Selection of games. They even have the new Mandalorian. If you have time you should defiantly check this place out.

So much fun! I love the selection of games.

This was a nice bar to break out of work and play some games and melt off some stress and get a pint. I'll be stopping by here regularly

Lots of pinball machines good times cold beer and excellent music when Cheryl's working

Lots & lots of pinball games had fun trying out newer ones(2021) & older ones(1978) !

It's a fun place! Pinball, video games, bowling, golf, food, beverages, and bands

Hidden gem in a normal bowling alley. Great selection for any pinball fan!

Super fun! Our favorite was the Godzilla pinball machine.

Its the largest pinball Museum in Michigan. Its nostalgic and always a blast

Amazing pinball collection in great shape. Lots of food choices!!

Cheap, fun, wide selection of messiness. The man who I assume to be the owner is very helpful.

Very cool throwback days to everything old is new again!

Massive selection of pinball tables and a few good arcade machines.

Good assortment of pinball....as a pinball wizard, good luck beating my high score..

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
