It took me almost 2 hours to order food wall at the bowling alley portion of our evening. I even walked up to the waitress and she told me to go back to my lane and that she would be with me momentarily once she handled other lanes. However she never came so I went and approached another person like I said almost 2 hours later and she took my order. Thankfully since it was so late my order was ready in less than 10 minutes. So I am thankful for that. The food was good. I enjoyed the atmosphere. As a church
Spare Time is a fun combination of bowling and Dave N Busters. Little pricey but not ridiculous for the once in a while you'd go. They have parties and good food, as well as a decent bar with games on. Overall recommend, kids will love it.
Good place for team activities or with family and friends. Many bowling tracks, laser tag, mystery rooms, arcade games, and decent food and drinks. Plenty of parking outside too.
Had an amazing time at Spare Time in Huntersville! The bowling lanes were clean, well-lit, and super modern. The staff was friendly and quick to help with anything we needed. We also checked out the arcade?tons of fun games for all ages and everything worked smoothly. The laser tag arena was a total blast too?definitely worth trying if you're with a group! Food and drinks were solid?better than you'd expect from a bowling spot. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the drinks were on point. Whether you?r
Went here twice within a week. Had a great time with both visits. We had an issue with our bowling lane on the 2nd visit and once we advised the waitress, they were kind enough to pause our game and fix the issue - our food arrived during that time so the timing worked out perfectly. Genuinely some of the best food I've had at a bowling alley! I ordered the honey mustard chicken wrap and really enjoyed it. We also did the bunker escape room which was set up really well. We had an hour to complete it and a
We booked my daughter?s 7th birthday party at Spare Time in Pineville, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet basic expectations for safety, organization, or customer service. We were scheduled from 4:30p-6:30p. No wristbands were provided to the children, which is a standard safety measure at most venues. This made it difficult to keep track of kids in a busy, public space, and it was especially concerning given that my five-year-old son has autism. I've never met a parent who said, ?Let's just hop
It's was an interesting place, lots of fun stuff to do. Same day appointments are not accepted, though. I went there on a Saturday to bowl, and the wait time was 2 HOURS. there were a lot of things to do in the Acrade. And the bar was great. There is plenty of fun stuff to do.
Expensive games, but the kids had so much fun bowling and playing laser tag. This was a mother/son event sponsored by the elementary school. Tons of fun!
Great place for the kids! Usually have some kind of special going for game cards for the arcade and a really fun laser tag. Full bar for the parents if you want a drink while the kids are playing games. They also have escape rooms and the food is great as well! Highly recommend for a family outing. Just beware... It can get pricey quick so check for packages
This was my first time bowling in years. The place is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plus the food is great.
Wanted to share this experience though it was a few months ago and I don't plan on coming back anyway. I liked going here for StepManiaX, sometimes with friends. We noticed one of the bars for the dance pad was loose and one of us wanted to fix it with a wrench they brought, it took 2 bolts to tighten and none of the techs were there that night after they asked around for staff. One of the employees gave a cop-out response, "oh the bar just gets loose like that." What?? Any one of us, other people that wann
Had such a great night playing games and laser tag. The bartender kapri and new bar tender cam were on point and made. Delicious drinks. Very friendly service even the manager David came to check on us. Great time will be back !
It was a fun place for a kids birthday party. They have so much the kids can do from bowling, to laser tag, and arcade games. Everyone had a good time. We ordered pizzas and all of them were great. Also their salads are huge and was really good. The prices are a bit on the higher side so just be aware if you are doing a party.
We had a great time with the escape rooms. Had 6 ten year Olds in the small rooms, and it was chaotic, but there was lots of fun. Spent time in the arcade also. We had a birthday party and the food was good. Also, we got to do some trivia on the big screen.
words can't express on how much we really enjoyed ourselves here. we booked online the birthday bash for our son's 5th birthday party. this was a very simple process to do - you will get an email of all details and who your contact sales person will be. there is a portal you can log on and add your bowlers names. they even have templates you can print out invitations for your guests. ordering extra catering food was on there as well. (we got (3) pizza's included for our 13 bowlers and we added an a
Decent bowling experience. Mediocre food and small portions for high prices. Inattentive staff. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. Not an ounce of buffalo sauce on it. Wife ordered a salad with no cheese (dairy allergy), they brought it out with cheese on it. The re-made salad took 25 minutes.
Staff is so friendly and great customer service! Julius gave us a tour of the venue since it was our first time there. Ceria I think is her name. I can't remember the spelling. (front counter at entrance). She was so sweet. Gave us some coupons on the way out. We had an issue with one of the games and she was so kind to help. Will definitely be coming back here!
Great concept, horrible execution. Drinks and food are way over priced. This is something I could definitely get over if the service wasn't so horrible. Bartender barely spoke and she had an attitude when she did. There was no one else at the bar... Or in the restaurant part. Very small portion of Fried pickles which came without any sauce like the description said. The person who brought it acted like it was an inconvenience for them to go get any sauce. Don't go there expecting anything friendly. On a pos
The place is very nice. The arcade machines are good and fun. Bowling is there is a good experience. The only thing that can be improved a lot is ordering food in the bar area. It would be nice to have a line to order food or to have a server take orders.
We wanted to get some family fun in before the kids went back to school on Monday. We did the "before 5pm bundle"; which was great value. We ended up bowling for an hour, playing a round of laser tag, TWO escape rooms and then some arcade games. We'll be back. The food/menu actually surprised me. The appetizers were delicious and fairly priced. The pizza was good too, and they had ginger beer, which I was thrilled about. My only "complaint" is not being able to combine our five gaming card monetary values i
Had a company get-away for the afternoon here, and it was fun! The beer was great, all the food was great (and I'm certain we ordered everything possible), the service was great, and the bowling games were hilarious! Only thing I would suggest is installing some fans...... bowling, eating, and drinking can make a person sweat! Overall a fantastic day, and I'll definitely be going back!
This place is cool. The staff that checks you in wasn't very pleasant. She just looked at us when we walked up. You could tell she was not wanting to be there. We didn't get to bowl because after waiting two hours, we had to leave for another appointment. I wished they had a better process when it comes to reserving the lanes. I am looking forward to coming back and trying the bowling.
Really disappointed in my experience with Spare Time. We've gone many times and each time we go back it gets worse and worse. Last time we were there our group ate at the pizza place and it took forever to be waited on. We were not the only ones waiting around and you could tell everyone was frustrated. THIS time, my husband and I sat in a booth and had 4 different employees make eye contact with us or walk past us and not greet us once. We sat for 25 minutes with not as much as even a Hi. Someone walked pa
My teens have gone a few times and it's a great place. Looks clean and they sometimes do promotions such as get a $100 gift card for $55 and that can be split into multiple cards so kids have their own.
We had our company holiday party here and a time was had! The facility is clean. The drink drinks were delicious. They ran out of food but made up for that. And the food was pretty good. I went bowling and played some arcade games. I would go back with my little ones.
First thanks to the employees y?all are the best. The FOOD is Great and the DRINKS ?? yes ?? Green Monster was delicious. Listen the water was even good lol ?? I enjoy myself and my team. I will be back. Great place for family events.
After taking my kids here for several years it's becoming a little more disappointing. A lot of the games in the arcade are often Out Of Service/Order. This particular visit I had to constantly go get an employee bc the games were taking my kids money. I felt as though they may believe I was lying so I just stopped and let it go after three times. The worst part of all is after playing so many games to get points to redeem, you go into the store to redeem them and it's nothing in there. I've noticed how a l
This place is amazing and very clean!! This is a fun place for groups or even date night. I highly recommend this place and I think you will enjoy your experience.
Me and my family came from out of town to celebrate my daughter?s birthday, originally just to bowel but there was a two hour wait to bowl so we decided to eat while we wait. Being we are out of town and this was our first time here we went into the restaurant area to the bar with no customers present waited 5-10 for the worker to approach us just to ask how we go about getting food and she nastily states ?AT THE BAR? then wanted to rush and take our orders with us not even looking at the menu yet. Very nas
I have gone here multiple times, date nights or with family or friends. I like the escape rooms. The bowling is fun and the arcade is a bit dull but it's what you make of it! We will come back.
We had a very great time. Service was good, Lanes were open and the server who came around was very attentive. We always have fun at Spare Time!
Had an awesome time doing unlimited bowl last night, staff was welcoming and the manager addressed a slight mishap with the card machine quickly! Our party of 15 had a great time staying entertained from escape rooms to arcade to bowling we had a time.
Fun idea for a date with Bae. Food, games, drinks, and met a friendly family from Charleston.
We had a blast! We did the bowling & laser tag package for my son birthday party and it was so much fun! The food we ordered was pizza(cheese & pepperoni) and we had a choice of 3 beverages. We even got a Bowling Pin, that was signed by the kids & parents, to take home as a souvenir. We will be back soon. Thank you for the awesome service!
Went bowling there. The place was nice and very clean. The drinks were good but if you want anything fried, go after 3 pm. We wanted some frech frys, but we had to wait. If I'm not mistaken, the only thing you could order before 3 was pizza and pretzels. Other than that, we had a great time
We headed to sparetime on New Years eve and were thrilled! We had such a wonderful time, the staff were attentive and kind. The extras they had thought of just made our trip even more fun! I am defiantly going to be reaching out about a client appreciate party for my Charlotte Real Estate Clients here! Thank you so much!
Spare time is an amazing place to go have fun with friends and family . They got a lot of games to play, spacious, a bowling alley is lit up , super cool with different colors (pinkish red and light green ) and a large screens to watch. Also, an Escape room . Although, I'll say the games are a bit pricey ($1.50 per game per session) to play and they go by quick. The chairs are comfortable. It's best to come here on the weekday . Prices for bowling are $44.99 for 3 games during the week and 54.99 on the wee
Something is seriously wrong with this place when it comes to scheduling. Went for the first time on an average Saturday at 3:30 and the wait for bowling was 4 hours?. What? I've waited half that time for the most popular rides at Disney. My suspicion is they over book lanes with birthday parties and then have no space for walk ins. That model won't last long. Left and went to Sports Connection and got a lane right away, Do better
I usually go on Wednesday afternoon for half off, one hour lane for $19.99. It's always clean, comfortable and fun! Shayla the manager is wonderful.
Bowling, gaming, and an escape room. They only have pizza and pretzels during lunch but there is a wait staff with nice tables at the lanes.
It's a typical arcade but with bowling and laser tag. I love it here, we had such a great time. They have really cool opportunities to save money during the week. We came on a Sunday. They even have a league for people who don't bowl too well called bad bowlers league and ladies night at the end of the month. I will definitely be back it's much better than Dave & Buster?s, at least where I'm from in NYC.
Fun place for all ages. Friendly staff and the place is very spacious. I would go again.
Excellent venue. Very nice and upscale. All around great place to chill and have fun with friends. Will definitely be back, and soon!
GREAT place to go and have some fun, whether with family or friends or both!! Arcades are awesome. Ticket/point arcade games are challenging. Every game was is very good condition and worked fine. Bowling alleys had a long wait, approx 2hrs, but was expected for a Saturday evening. The alleys were clean, well maintained, and fun. I'm not a bowler by any means but they were a blast. We did get some food....a appetizer sampler....and it was very good. Drink prices are average. Service at the alley and restau
We had a blast. We played some games and teamed up with some others and played an awesome game of laser day. We will definitely be going back. We keep going back so I added some photos. The food is so good !!!!
Staff is just a bunch of slow teens that spend their time looking miserable. Got told bowling was a 3 hour wait - which sounded like a made up excuse, especially since I don't recall waiting once for bowling in my entire life. Seemed as if half the arcade games were broken (not exaggerating). Never going back. Couldn't pay me.
I ?? coming here. I had my daughter's birthday party last year here on December 8th her actual birthday. And this time I went out with my Boyfriend playing games and had a drink!! He came straight from work.
Great fun for all ages from grandkids ages 8 months, 4 and 6 years old, through mom's and dad's and one very happy grandma, we all had one heck of a good time. The entire venue was clean and well taken care of. If a spill happened it was rapidly and thoroughly cleaned. We choose to try our hands at a couple of rounds of bowling. We of course had to partake of the Eats, Drinks, Adult Drinks, Food and Dessert menus!! Woo Hoo and thanks for a great time!!!
Games are super expensive for what they offer, escape rooms are just ok, staff we interacted with were all just flat out rude and just bad customer service, all seemed unhappy to be working there (front counter people and prize people, the bar staff and laser tag staff were ok) clearly a mgmt & people issue at this place.
Very spacious and clean, was there for a birthday party and the staff attending we're wearing capes, very cute detail! Would definitely book a party here, they include laser tag, and gift cards for the kids. We had a blast.
Lovely place. The staff are friendly and ready to provide every information needed to easily navigate your visit there. Keep up the good work, my people!
Spare Time Pineville is the ultimate entertainment destination! With exciting laser tag, a vast arcade, and top-notch bowling lanes, there's never a dull moment. The food is on point, and the staff is welcoming, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all ages.
good looking place, but the service is terrible. Maybe under staff. Waiters not available to take your order, only one kiosk to order food and drinks, waiting for an hour to get drinks paid, food very expensive and small portions.
This location is my favorite. It's such a good time. The music is good and there are lots to do for the whole family. Manny the bar tender was awesome. The staff is friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure
This is an amazing place! It looks so fancy! There's so many options, bowling, escape rooms, arcade, last tag. There is a nice bar and restaurant area as well. It is a bit pricey, but it a great spot for special occasions!
Lots of video arcade games- but be careful coming with a Groupon coupon. Our daughter had one - when we arrived they said an hour and a half wait - so we went to the mall to eat. Came back, an hour wait - when she checked at the end of the hour they said another hour and a half wait. So - total wait time 4 and a half hours when cash players went ahead of our daughter. Gave up and left.
The kids had a blast?many diverse opportunities to enjoy activities -bowling; games; laser tag and escape room
Nice place. Clean and spacious. I enjoyed the escape room. The only issue was when we got our food they did not bring us napkins or our drinks. We also ordered extras like queso, and did not get them . This is the one area of opportunity that needs to improved. I will visit again.
This place was really fun! We Went there for my work party on Sunday night. The private room was really nice, and The guy that was taking care of us was fantastic. The food wasn't bad either. The only thing I would say is the drinks take a long time to come out from the bar, and the Moscow mule didn't taste like a Moscow mule. It tasted like there was way too much lime and it overpowered the drink.
It's expensive and loud, but I do appreciate that they have those big booth areas where I can sit and read while my kids are off doing their thing.
Everything is over priced payed 6 dollars for air hockey and was only able to play for 1 minute. Staff was great but overall I would return arcade is a joke just a scam
We came to bowl for the summer kids bowl free and the place seems new. The bathrooms were in horrible condition with full nasty toilets and paper towel and toilet paper everywhere. It was absolutely disgusting. This is the second time we have been here and the bathrooms were completely neglected and gross last time as well. When we finally got a lane after a 30 min wait on a Wednesday at 5pm, our seven person family was shoved onto just one lane even though there were plenty of open lanes. Our family which
I must say I was impressed. The food was good as well as a wide variety of entertainment. The staff was nice and courtesy. There is enjoyment there for all ages.
We did the Cryosleep Escape Room. It was pretty hard, we needed hints.
Fun place for me and my little one. Bowling, Escape Rooms, Laser Tag, and plenty games.
We reserved the Elite Suite @ Spare Time for our daughter's 18th birthday and our group had such a wonderful experience! The room was exactly what we needed to have an intimate celebration with 20+ teenagers and adults and enjoy bowling. The event staff was INCREDIBLE - specifically David (food & beverage manager) and Antonio - they catered to our every need. From rearranging the set up of the room to accommodate our group, to customizing our group's food order, refilling beverages, assisting with the ambia
Loved it. They need more bartenders on a weekend. Went Friday night and waited 20 min just to order one. Stood there and bartender never even acknowledged me but the food was delicious. Had chicken wrap!!
Seems like a great place to hang out at all ages. We came for bowling and waited over an hour for the after 9 PM special. It's unlimited after that time, so people are not quick to give up their lanes
Great time playing the games, but I had horrible service at the bar the entire night. I was skipped countless times and it took an hour or longer to receive an order
Unparalleled wheelchair access & even had an all gender inclusive bathroom with appropriate signage. Should be the standard for all business. So appreciated! Clean and fun. Also enjoy that you can have half off Wednesdays, great competition with Dave and Busters to match their promo. Will definitely return!
Granted it is a children's place, the food and alcohol is extremely over priced ($12 for a vodka redbull is crazy. Other than that a basic run of the mill eat drink play type of venue like Dave and busters but cheaper
I went to this bowling for my birthday, and we had an amazing time! We loved the atmosphere, and the service was fantastic. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The place was well-maintained, with great music and a lively vibe. Overall, it was a perfect spot to celebrate, and I highly recommend it!
It took very long for them to get ready and their were 2 people infront of us that took so long. We tried some games and 3 of them had no sign and didn't work. And we were bowling and the ball dispenser broke and took 15 minutes to fix.
Update: After I wrote the review below they had the facility mgr do the lanes. It still sucked. Now they have Tony managing the lanes on Monday. I have to say he needs a promotion. He's done an amazing job with the lanes. The lanes are oiled correctly the approach is no longer sticky and are flawless. ( Thank you Tony? my knees don't hurt anymore)? will definitely comeback to another social league as long as Tony is managing the lane when we play. Hopefully the facility mgr will follow and keep the lanes th
I recently moved to the area and was having family in town to celebrate a birthday, so I was excited to find Spare Time as a place to go have some fun. There's a large parking lot, and the Establishment is spacious, clean, and more upscale than your everyday bowling alley or arcade. We went primarily for a game of laser tag, and we're happy to see that it wasn't just children that come (we are in our 30s). The price is good, and around is 10 minutes. I do wish that the instructions were a little clearer and
We had such a good time here with our family and friends. Aly and all employees are awesome ???????????? We'll definitely come back.
From an entertainment perspective, Spare Time is great. The two stars are for the service or lack of. Their management should take a page from John Tapper on Bar Rescue to know how to effectively and efficiently utilize their staff. There were two employees behind the bar managing both the bar the eating area. Meanwhile, I observed other staff just standing around as if they didn't know what or have anything to do. When we got there the table we chose hadn't been cleaned so we had to wait about 10 minut
Don't come here for the bowling! The shoes nor lanes are kept in good condition. Look at the bottoms of my shoes! The food was good but expensive, but what else could you expect from a place like this. It's a descent get away though.
I recommend this one over the one in Charlotte. Pineville spare time food is always so delicious and the customer service is amazing! OAN, they are clean!!!
While the kids played I got my chill on! They have a nice bar area for us adults and the drinks weren't very pricey. They have a bowling alley and video games for the kiddos. A nice place for the fam to hangout for a few hours.
This place has everything for a kid's birthday party. The arcade games can be a bit pricey, but the kids need to puck the "good" games and stay away from the bad candy vending ones. Escape rooms and laser tag is very good. Service at the bar is poor and sparsely staffed, but the service at Corleone's is very good. Madison was very attentive and took care of us.
I hosted a work event here for my teammates and we all loved it! Ana was amazing and helped me plan the entire thing, she explained everything and always got back to me in a timely manner. We got a great bowling package and it included food which helped with the price. The facility was beautiful and very clean, we had great customer service at the desk when we arrived and our server was AWESOME she was attentive, constantly refilling the soft drinks/making sure we all were taken care of. Highly recommend th
Nice and beautiful in the inside the bowling was fun and the drinks were good. Awesome crowd and awesome workers!
Very busy place. Don't walk in and expect to do the escape room or bowling unless you go on a low traffic day. My son and a friend's son were able to play last tag and they had a great time playing the games. A friend and I used the restaurant side to catch up while our teen sons played. The wings and fries were great.
Had a great time with the family, big clean with lots to do! There's laser tag, bowling, food, bar they even have an escape room!
Shayla and Aniyah are absolutely a delight . Courteous and kind . Shayla helped me with the birthday check in and I needed to make some changes as we had a smaller group for my sons birthday party and she didn't hesitate the least bit to do that for me. We will all be back again for our pleasant experience. Thank you, Shayla. ??
A group of my dear friends, women of wisdom, a/k/a seniors, enjoyed a fun afternoon at spare time. We experienced the bowling, the escape room and the pizza, was great. We're all New Yorkers so we know good pizza. Thank you to the staff who served us and took good care of us particularly in the escape room. This venue is not just for kids or young adults. Thank you spare time for a great experience. we'll see you again soon!
Firstly, the road and parking lot look like the surface of the moon - I almost popped a tire on a massive crater on our way in. While the place looked fancy with a VIP area, arcade, and pizza restaurant, something about it just felt off. The balls were greasy, the tables and seating area were filthy, and the employees didn't bother to greet us or help with anything. We were 1 frame from completing our last game when the timer ran out and they wouldn't even let us finish despite there being no one there. If
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
