Had a great time at thus spare time location. The facility was neat clean and the staff all around were super nice. We bowled for 2 hours ordered drinks and food and everything was bought out to our lanes and look and tasted great. A new option for our date nights ..... ????

Had a blast with the family! Bowled an hour and it was well worth it. Played a few games (all four of us), the competition was real. Every time I come to the area, im pullin up.

Me and my family have been here over 20 times and every time was so fun. There arcade is great with a variety of games personally my favorite is the Taj Mahal claw machine where you try to get tickets and are able to actually put them on your card. Great Bday party for a 12 yr old! Mally was our host and he did an excellent job! Laser tag & arcade was a hit! Next time I plan to purchase more arcade credits for each pre-teen. They supplied nice plates, napkins, lime green plastic table cloth, pitchers of soda, & great pizza!

Spare time is a great place to take the kids! So many games to play. You must buy a plastic game card to use in the machines and when you win on the games the winnings go on the card. You can save the points for later or go pick out a prize. Bowling and food is also available for your family entertainment. Go have some fun!

This is a family fun place to hang out it has bowling laser tag arcade two bars they make fresh pizza the staff is friendly and energetic. We will be going back plus they do have a lot of specials for bowling and shoes.

Please come out to trivia on Tuesdays. It's so much fun and if you like playing with competitive teams and with hard questions, then this is the place. Pre trivia starts around 7pm and the grand trivia starts at 730pm. My only issue with sparetime is that some of the newer bartenders need to learn the newer drinks. Also, the grease in the kitchen should be checked regularly. Other than that, place is often if you want a fun night out and play free trivia.

Being from a small country town in Virginia, we have a SpareTime so it was pleasant to find one nearby in Huntersville. My cousin decided this would be the perfect place to celebrate my eldest birthday and she was so right. It was so fulfilling to see the kids running around playing the arcade games and playing laser tag. Once done we sat down and ordered pizza from the kitchen on site. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and anyone looking to take the kids out for a fun filled night this is the place!

Got to spare time at 10:10/10:15 for kids bowl free. They opened at 10. They told us they had no lanes and the guy wasn't sure when they'd be available. Manager was very rude when I asked if there was anything they could do for the next visit. We left with very disappointed kids.

Had my Grandson's 13th birthday party on 6-10-23. The party package allowed the kids to enjoy bowling, laser tag and games in the game room. The adults has a great time as well. They also were provided pizza and drinks. Only problem was our server, she wasn't very attentive. We had to track her down every time we needed something (ordering more food).

Hosted a party here this weekend. We were a large group and it was a busy Saturday night with the playoff games on. We had a mechanical failure on one of our lanes and they did a great job of taking care of us for the inconvenience. Staff were friendly but clearly working hard to manage such a busy place. Overall a great experience. Erin was our waitress and she was GREAT....especially considering how many alleys she was waiting on by herself. She was fun and happy the entire time! I hosted my son's birthday party here, and it was a HIT! We received 3 rounds of laser tag and the kids were tuckered out. The adults even played and I think we had more fun than them ??. Fun place to spend a few hours with family or friends. Good lanes, plenty of balls, and yes they have bumpers. Food was good too! We had Mac and cheese bites and pot stickers. This is a Pepsi property so no Coke drinks. Very friendly staff and everything was clean.

My kids bowl here. They are friendly and they always keep the place clean. Seems to be a great place for kids and adults. Tv's,arcade, bar, mysteryroom, and food. They offer a little something for everyone. More vegetarian and vegan options would be great.

Bowled here a couple times with the kids but tonight was video game / tickets night! Good fun and although I expected to spend a fortune we ended up with about 1000 tickets after $40 or so of games, and about 45 minutes of entertainment. The ?Let's Bounce? game with ping-pong bald and color changing targets was our favorite. Traded in for a growing mermaid... yeah, and some nutritious snacks... aka candy. Do NOT come to this place. While waiting for a bowling lane to open, we decided to try the 15 minute escape room. One of the ?clues? wasn't functioning properly so we wasted most of our time in there. Talking with the ?amusement manager?, he failed to provide a reasonable explanation. He then finally offered to give us a $10 gift card for the inconvenience. Mind you, we spent $50.. This is the guy trying to fix the problem, lol.

They literally made us wait over an hour to bowl and there was no one bowling at the lanes. It was ridiculous talking about they need to clean them. We ordered food. For some reason they missed an entire order. Had to go back to the bar and show proof of receipt that I purchased $40 worth of food! Guess what the food was absolutely disgusting!!!

Had an argument with friends because this place is frustrating. This is the most chaotic bowling alley I've ever been to. Bartenders will ignore you they don't have enough bowling lanes so you won't get one after 6pm teens hog the card machines. Everyone who isn't the receptionist ignores you. This place continues to struggle with food and beverage. Today, they are only serving pizza due to being too busy and not enough help. For years, this place cannot keep up with service! This is quite the upgraded bowling alley. In addition to lanes, there are multiple arcade spaces, a restaurant, and a bar. The facility is spacious and clean with lots of colorful lighting. You can digitally control if you want bumpers and there are numerous ramps available to provide assistance for children or individuals with special needs. Spare Time also participates in Kids Bowl Free during the summer (must pay for shoe rental).

I give this place too much business, came in for some all you can bowl only to be put on a wait list for 30 minutes! was told 20 and I stuck around for 30 and after being looked at several times by the woman at the front desk who was using the exact same computer that I was put on the wait list on! I've been wanting to attend the once a month girl's night out all summer and I finally got to attend. My friends and I enjoyed it so much. Our family has been bowling with Spare Time since they first opened. We moved out of state and now that we're back, we live further away, but it's always worth the half hour drive. Get on their email list, you won't regret it!

Wow! $3.25 for a half water, half cranberry juice for a toddler. They try to take advantage of you any way they can apparently. I had to edit my original review to one star. They have been raising prices on their games in the past few months, doubling it in mm OST cases. They have taken away their bonuses on most games, and now you can hardly win any tickets on most games. They are ripping people off slowly, avoid if you can.

Me and a friend came in 4/1/2024 for a couple of drinks. We went to the bar and was greeted by the bartender Kristy. Placed our order and my friend gave his card to pay the $22 tab. I have been here multiple times and we have had a great time. This place is one of the best bowling alleys I have ever been to. The options with having the bumpers go up or down for each bowler and the set up for taking individual or group pictures is awesome. The arcade area is a bunch of fun with a variety of games from air hockey to many others. I recommend always checking to see if a Groupon is available to try and save a little bit of money so you can spend it in another part of this awesome place.

It is a fun experience with family and a good deal on the bundle. Though, that comes with a cost. The service when it's comes to the waiters/waitresses is absolutely abysmal. I understand that it is some people?s first job but take pride in where you work. We asked for extra cups and never received them along with only having one bartender for a multitude of people. It's been tradition to attend this location annually but these things do get noticed easily.

This is a great location! Staff is always friendly and helpful. I had my son's b-day party here earlier this year. The pricing for party's is pretty good compared to several other 'kid' activity places in the area that charged almost double. Summer time is kids-free bowl and you just pay to rent the shoes which is great for giving him somethign to do. The arcade is a nice size and fun for everyone to play! All ages can enjoy!

My family has been going here for bonding time and fun for years. It used to be called North Cross Lanes. Now it's under different ownership and is called Spare Time. The staff is attentive and caring. The drinks and food are good. The games are fun. This bowling alley is appropriate for all ages.

Our bowling league stopped going here after they converted to place to an all purpose entertainment center years ago. Furthermore, the prices on pretty much everything doubled. I suppose bowling profits just weren't enough to meet the greed of investors.

My son (10) & I have been bowling for several years, this summer I told him we'd try other bowling venues to see how they compared to our usual place. We drove an hour to Spare Time, arrived a few minutes after they opened. We walked in & the atmosphere looked great. So we checked in & got a lane. My son threw his first ball & we both knew right away our day was going to be bad. There was no oil on the lanes, we could not keep our balls from over hooking. I have never in my life seen lanes that dry.

I am so thankful for the staff, you all are the literal best. I booked a reservation of 10 people for my daughter?s 4th birthday and not one person showed up for my daughter but their wonderful staff did. They sang to her, hugged her, gifted her.. They set standards a thousand miles high. I'm forever thankful. I cried going home because I felt so defeated but you all did magic because she still, saw it as the best birthday ever.
