The first time back there since renovations, we had a group of 20 ppl, and everyone had an amazing time. Ethan, who works there, was great helping us, we will return soon. Food was great.
Love that im able to send my kids up for the summer membership and bring them up here to bowl every day for up to two games a day for free the only things I have to pay for is their shoes so it's somewhere nice that they like and something fun to do while getting out of the summer heat.
Nice price between 10pm and 12 am on weekends. You will be able to play a ton of bowling. Very nice lanes accompanied with nice screens. I haven't had the chance to play their other games. I might try them next time when I visit the town. Very friendly customer service.
My family loves this place!! It's by far our favorite place to go bowling, but it has laser tag, a restaurant, and an arcade too! I highly recommend for a once in a while treat for your family or a couples night. It is expensive for sure, so for that reason I don't recommend it being a regular thing. They do offer discount nights, however, so if you can do those- go for it!
Went with a Groupon and they told us that all lanes were full and would be at least a 4 hour wait. But there was only one group bowling taking up 2 lanes. Please don't lie just because you don't want to honor a coupon.
Had a fabulous time with my family on a hot summer afternoon! Susie did an amazing job welcoming us and checking everyone in. She always goes over and beyond . Owen was also very attentive and helpful every time we had to use the service call button. This is my favorite bowling alley to bring my family. Thank you so much for the five star experience!
Rude and unprofessional. They kept sending us texts saying our lane was ready, but it was an error 3x. The guy I'm the middle said was the worst. Poor customer service, and they didn't know how to do their job. He said, " I wish I could be perfect when I asked why they sent the incorrect text 3 times.
Very cool fun place. Only minor issue was that it was very warm in there and they could have used to have the AC turned up a bit. Employees were very nice, everything worked and was clean. We had a lot of fun.
Fun experience while visiting Greensboro. Load your card and can play games and buy food and drinks. The games are pricey, from$1.50-$5.00 each game, barely win tickets but overall was clean and the dining area was great to sit in away from the big crowds. My son had alot of fun playing all the games with $60 went by real quick. Very polite, attentive staff. Customer service was great.
Had an awesome time with my friends last night! Thomas was an excellent bartender and took great care of us. We went to grab a couple more drinks near the end of the night but the bar was closing, Thomas told us not to worry though and grabbed us those drinks anyways :)
Had a good time playing in the arcade and bowling. Glad we used the bumpers!
We came for my daughter?s birthday party. The staff was organized, communicated clearly, and had a great timeline. The pizza was yummy and the girls had a blast! They have really remodeled this place and it is pretty sweet!
We had our son?s 9th birthday party at Spare Time in Greensboro, and it was an awesome experience! Everything went smoothly and stress-free. The kids loved the bowling and arcade, but the laser tag was definitely the highlight. They couldn't stop talking about it! Kelsey was awesome in answering all our questions beforehand and setting up all party activities. Our party host, Dana, was fantastic. She was so helpful and attentive. The front desk staff was also amazing, always ready to assist with any questio
We ended up here after Celebration Station failed us. Kids did enjoy bowling. They have a nice game room. I'd definitely come back here. There's a bar for the grown ups also.
First time bowling at Spare Time in Greensboro, and it was so fun! I didn't expect for there to be a game zone. The food was good, and the vibes were great!
Great spot for arcading and bowling... good customer service and vibes.. I visit couple times a year
This place is AWESOME! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I bring 2 young men with me that God made in a special way and they are treated with the upmost love and respect! I appreciate the hiring of such caring employees. Keep up the impressive acts of kindness. .. From: Brenda
My daughter n love rented two lanes for the family as we celebrated my son 40th birthday. We had lots of fun. The attendants were nice, very clean place and the food was great.
My experience was horrible because a girl with glasses and two different textures of hair was serving everyone except my table. I hope management get rid of her because no one deserves to be treated unfair. I can't help it your hair was unfair. We ended up going to top golf where we had a great time thank you top golf !!!
Loved this place. My family was in V.I.P section and the money you spend on food is worth your money, we'll be going back again soon
It is a roaring good time! The jurassic park-themed laser tag takes the experience to a whole new level of excitement. Step into a prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs and engage in thrilling battles amidst captivating arenas. The attentive and friendly staff ensures a memorable adventure for all players. Plus, the upcoming addition of an escape room adds another layer of anticipation and challenge. Spare Time maintains excellent facilities and top-notch equipment. Whether you're seeking a fun outing wit
Great experience and environment. My only issue was when I went to the bar it was very busy and the guy bartender was alone with at least 10 people ordering so they sent him help and I ended up having to give her my order which was a long island ice tea while watching her try to fix the drink along with her not seeming to know which liquors go in the drink. I already knew it was going to be a watered down drink and WAS! If and when I return I will remember her face and make sure she doesn't fix me anything
We went with my daughter's soccer team as a team building event, while in Greensboro for a tournament. I was pleasantly surprised to see there was something there for all ages to included my 11 year old and myself. Amazing food and great entertainment all around!
Had an excellent time at Spare time playing some games and bowling with family and friends. Jasmine took care of us and let us know when a lane would be available. We bowled the remainder of the night until the establishment closed. We love coming here!
Fun place to take the kids. Get the $100 gaming card for $55, you can use it for games and laser-tag. Get online coupons to make the deal worth it for you.
Recently took my team for a "recharge" retreat ahead of our busy season. What an awesome day! From making the call and coordinating the details, to showing up and having a great time, the team at Spare Time were friendly, incredibly helpful, well-trained, professional, and over-the-top hospitable. Cannot recommend Spare Time enough!
Oh my goodness this place is overpriced! From the bowling lanes and shoes to the food on the menu. It was a nice experience with family and friends but I will not be back. I was not expecting cheap but nothing was priced reasonably. Our go to bowling alley was booked up so this was our closest option. Bathrooms were extremely clean, I will give them that because I am selective with public restroom use. I noticed a deployment sheet behind the door of hourly bathroom checks from the staff which was accurate
Our server in the vip section gave us the best service we've had in a while. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was good and we had fun.
First time coming here on valentines day 2024. Got to give them an A++ Great employees. Very friendly & ready to help if needed. Decent prices. Great atmosphere! Great for kids, or on a date night. All around Great place. Will definitely be coming back!!
We had so much fun! I am so happy they finally were able to reopen. The bowling was great, and the staff were all in full costumes interacting with the patrons. They are having a 9pm haunted laser tag game that promises to be a blast.
Clean/polished operation Staff is efficient. Something for everyone in the family . Loved the chicken quesadilla. Dining area is well placed in the middle, but is still out of the way. Lanes are well spaced and I see people don't seem crowded. 11 year old grandson loved Lazer Tag Overall Noise level is well controlled
It's a rainy, busy Saturday, I understand they are busy. But we pre-paid for laser tag that lasts for 8-10 minutes. We checked in, and they sent us to pay. When we got to laser that they said it would not be until 6:30, we arrived at 5. It would have been better customer service for the people at the front check g us in to set the expectation and let us know hey it's almost 2 hours before you can play. They said nothing, I may have chosen bowling or a different Venus in knowing this. I spoke to the manager
We celebrated my son's birthday here, and it was really fun and the attention of all the staff was excellent!! Thank you very much!!
The atmosphere is great. So many different things to do. My son absolutely loves this place. The staff is really helpful and awesome. They have great management as well if you should have any issues. Great for the family. Real nice restaurant and a snack bar as well. Fun night out.
Place is fun, but chaotic. Plan ahead! When your time is up, your time is up whether you finished bowling your game or not. Imagine making it to the 9th frame and they shut you down. There are no waiters to take your order?not sure why there are menus on tables. Brings lot of money. Lots! Games cost between $1.50-$5.00 each. Food is expensive and small portions. 6 people bowling for one hour is around $60?keep in mind, you may not finish your game. Staff was friendly, but I think they need more.
Tatyana was the nicest employee they have there she was really awesome and friendly.the five stars are for her ! On the other hand the place would be great if the games weren't rigged
super fun place, laser tag was very cool. the lady at the arcade prize counter (i don't remember if she had a name tag because i get really overstimulated in arcades, i was there friday night 3/7) was exceptionally nice and helpful, y?all should give her a raise.
My husband?s work had a get together here today and they invited the significant others. We had a lot of fun! This place is really nice. Would definitely recommend people come and hang out here.
Cool entertainment center. Bowling, Laser tag, Full size Arcade. Was very impressed with the speed at which the busboy/clean-up crew got the lane ready for the customers to come in after us I left my water jug behind and went back for and they were almost done when I got there. Great sense of urgency.
Had party schedule today and it was horrible..party host was no where around. We had to get our own refills. Didn't put ice cream cake in freezer so it was melted spoke to Manager and he was rude and incompetent like must people working there today..I will be calling corporate office ..Manager is diffently in wrong position..If I could have given them no star they would have received it..$300 and we done everything except cook pizza ...I will never recommend this place for a party ...
A great spot in Greensboro for some casual fun! They have bowling lanes that are well-maintained, a fun play area for kids to stay entertained, and a decent selection of meals to keep everyone happy. Perfect for a family outing or just hanging out with friends for a few hours. Simple, but everything you need for a good time!
It's fun but expensive, most of the games are way overpriced at $1.75 per arcade game, some of the games are even $2+, also the presence of full-time armed security officers means it's a hang out for lowlives. I would recommend going during the week when it's not too crowded and all the weirdos aren't there. Avoid the weekends.
All around had a good time otherwise it's your Standard spend a lot of money to win a few tickets get some cheap prices. Kids had a great time.
Arcade review: They have a wide selection of games however the pricing is too high IMO. Most games average $1.50-$2.00+ per play including non ticket games. Claw machines are $3 per play which would be fine if the claws were set to skill only and not on a payout rate. The amount of tickets you earn here is low IMO and the amount needed for prizes is too high.
This is one of the best family entertainment centers in the region. Have a party or an even bigger event. The facility is clean and always busy so make arrangements or you group will be waiting in line. That is because it is popular, fun, and the best around. *Update* I just can't say anything more than class act! Just took the office there for their lunch getaway, they were all smiles and helpful. Love the VIP area, worth the cost for the grown-ups. Check them out if you haven't gone yet.
Just a great place for some indoor entertainment. Bowling, arcade, laser tag, full service bar, and great full menu restaurant. Bowling, as serious as you care to make it. Plenty of league options all the way down to family fun night with the kids. VIP section with full private bar, pool table, and a Buffett line for those corporate parties. No pro shop but they do offer lockers for up to a two ball bag. Great place
Great place to hangout and to have a party. There is plenty to do, it's just like any other arcade with bowling and laser tag~ never had a bad experience the food is super good! Highly recommend coming here if you wanna just hangout and have a good time.
Environment was not kid friendly with music and video choice! Great fun for adults and older kids though. Bathrooms were dirty but they were very busy. Staff was very nice as well.
I visited here on a Sunday evening around 9:15PM. They had a special (after 9pm) for two hours of bowling, including shoe rental for $15 per person. I met up with a friend. I hadn't been bowling in a while, so it was nice. We each got an alcoholic beverage. My friend got the green monster and I got the rum punch. They stop selling alcohol drinks at the bar area around 10:15pm. I think the concession/food stand closed around 10 PM. I was trying to order something sooner, but the line was long and/or I was in
I had a great time with my family there. The staff was great except one of the young ladies at the cash register. But overall I had an amazing time!!
The most friendliest staff, yummiest food and love the vibe! Try the arcade which has many games and definitely try the laser tag which is a big scenario to play, bowling lanes are pro level and I'd suggest you should enroll yourself for the regularly held bowling leagues.
I would like to first say Tina is amazing at her job and deserves recognition for her amazing customer service. She not only aided to compliment getting us an earlier lane due to a mishap but she also accommodated us further to show her dedication for making sure the customers are satisfied. With the scarcity of great customer service I believe she's someone that could truly bring change and what businesses need more of! I truly appreciate the experience and I would recommend anyone looking for a grand time
This place is so cool! When I was growing up this building was just a standard bowling alley with a few pool tables. Now it's been redone so that it looks spectacular! I went bowling the other night here with some friends, they are definitely expensive but they have nightly deals that are really nice. We went to their fancy bar, the bartenders were very nice and helpful, they have a very sweet drink called Pain Killer that was really good. We havent gotten to play later tag here yet, but me and my husb
We prepaid for our lanes in advance to make sure for availability. The staff were so helpful and nice. Perfect location for the family bowing tournament/birthday party
My 1st time here was New Years Eve 2024!! It was awesome. Very nice setup!!! Needs to be a little cleaner in the snack areas and bathrooms but otherwise AMAZING!!!
Booked Birthday Bowling Package that specifically says 2 hours but actually means 90 minutes of bowling and 30 minutes of spending $10 cards in the arcade.
I had a fantastic time here! The bowling was rather expensive on a Saturday night, but it was well worth it since I kept getting spares and strikes like CRAZY! I also bowled my first ever turkey! For those who don't know, a turkey is three strikes in a row. There is also a great arcade, a private room with its own bowling lanes, laser tag, and a great restaurant that has this HUMONGOUS dessert! Having had my best ever games here, as well as plenty more arcade tokens, I'll be sure to return!
Large, clean, fun arcade game and bowling place. Their laser tag area is also very entertaining. Kids had fun. Staff is polite and helpful. I would recommend them.
Place is good and well maintained inside But PLEASE STOP PEOPLE FROM SMOKING RIGHT AT THE DOOR!! There are kids coming to place as well and i dont want my kid or anyone?s kid to walk through a cloud of smokes to get in.
This is a awesome place for families, kids and groups. There are multiple VIP sections and a bar. We utilzed the VIP section for our family reunion that included great food (we had a great variety of finger foods). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!!
My first time...there was bowling, games, lasertag, a bar, and food. I attended a holiday party with my coworkers. They bowl and we did laser tag ...which was fun! Now the food...the pizza was nasty and burnt, the chicken fingers was HUGE but good and the mozzarella sticks was good. Overall experience 3/5....
This place is down right amazing. Food, bowling, arcade, and laser tag! Even the place where you get your tickets is set up like a store it's such a unique experience for the kids!!! We definitely will be back!!
Great place for family entertainment. They participate in the free summer bowling program, have lots of fun arcade games, laser tag, and a HUGE Goliath pizza that's a favorite for our kids.
We had a great time, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We got a chicken bacon ranchero pizza and it was very delicious. The lane had some problems if you got a gutter ball (lane 7). The atmosphere was clean, fun, entertaining, without being totally overwhelming or loud.
Good clean family fun. Only complaint is that it is fairly expensive so couldn't do the activities very often. We signed up for a kids bowl free program but had to pay $5 each for shoe rental. My group especially enjoyed the laser tag which was again very costly for just a few minutes of fun. Overall good experience.
Fun experiences for the whole family! They have bowling, of course, but also an arcade area and laser tag. You do need an ID to get in.
I recently visited Spare Time in Greensboro with a date, and we had a fantastic time. This bowling alley really stands out for its size and the variety of activities it offers. The facility is enormous, with two distinct bowling areas that cater to different vibes, plus a large arcade for even more entertainment. It's a great place for a date or a fun outing with friends or family. One of the first things I noticed was how well-organized and maintained the bowling equipment was. The bowling balls were in g
Prices are a little steep $96 for 4 people 2 hours of play. Neat shoe rental, like a vending machine. Not enough games for toddlers. Should be able to purchase prizes with cash for little ones who can't win tickets.
We had fun!! We went on a Wednesday after 1, there was a little bit of a wait. Wednesday it's half price so the was understandable!! This is the 2nd time I have brought my son here. The first was for his 15th birthday. The boys played laser tag and played in the arcade and enjoyed bowling. This place is clean from entrance to the bathrooms. I recommend going on a Wednesday if not it's going to be rather pricey!
I have not been here in such a long time, but it was a blast. The employee was helpful and friendly , and the snacks were good too. Wednesday is half price, ill need to remember this.
The VIP area was worth it. Great food and drinks just right behind you. Great time with friends.
We visited for the first time tonight as we booked my son?s birthday here and we wanted to get a feel for the venue. We had an absolute blast! Our kids fell in love with the laser tag and arcade. We had the best time bowling! But the best part of the experience was Tina?s customer service. She helped make a fun night into a night to remember! Thank you, Tina, for your hospitality!!!! We will definitely be back more frequently and recommend Sparetime to all of our family and friends!
Definitely a vibe and highly recommended! I really appreciate their vegan wrap option too!!
The venue is beautiful and very well kept. The lanes are updated and the equipment is as well. The food is good and there are lots of options. Overall, a great place to have a fun night out.
This is definitely the place to have family time. We had a blast!
Gave four stars because the people that are there, really do seem to be trying. Probably deserved 3. Very under staffed, although I was there over Christmas. Bowling seems to be the lowest priority - behind arcades, stobe lights, tvs, and music.
Great bowling & fun - I've been here 2 times now
Had an excellent time! We visited Spare Time for a Team Building Exercise for work. We had a blast. They have plenty of bowling lanes, a snack bar, modern video games, laser tag, and a VIP area. Would definitely recommend for an outing with friends and family, or an offsite activity. Don't mean to toot my own horn, but I came in 7th in laser tag (toot, toot).
Great family place, plenty of bowling & a nice size arcade. Plus a bar in the middle!!
This place is absolutely amazing great place for kids and adults. It's a must do for sure.
Food was great service was top notch, place was nice and clean will be returning.
Very busy 2 hour wait. Good thing they offer a full service restaurant and arcade. 7 women were able to keep themselves busy until bowling time. We also had a waiter. Clean establishment that sanitized each lane and left room for social distancing. I was visiting from out of state.
Great place for the whole family to enjoy. There is entertainment for people of all ages.
Bowled twice at this location. It is very clean, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the bowling is extra fun bc they have score screens that do little cartoons of the players, and the lighting is cool, plenty of seating, loaded bacon fries were great. The arcade is also great, we love air hockey! My kids liked the laser tag. Very fun place, seems to have something for everyone.
Trying to book a birthday party for my son. Took my info down saying that the birthday/even coordinator will call back but never did
We took our entire staff with no agenda. So many fun activities and options, with great customer service, food, and drink. Jack and his team made it a perfect day, and we will definitely come back!
Very cool set up. It's more than just a bowling alley. Awesome
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
