We love coming to Sparetime! My kids love bowling- my son has met a lot of new friends at all the different events they have had! The food is delicious too! :) Al and the team are so nice! We also had my son?s birthday party there and the staff was great to work with! Everything was very organized and set up when we got there. Sparetime is a great place to spend time with your family and friends.

The place is pretty nice, and I definitely would recommend. The food wasn't the best but it was okay. One thing that was disappointing, was that they will not tell you if it's the same price or cheaper to bowl for 1 hour. They are not very upfront on those prices. If you go just do the 1 hour. Very disappointed in that, as this was basically a waste of an additional $30 I didn't need to spend if they would have just told me, and been upfront. But overall it was a good-ish experience. Our family hosted a birthday party for my nephew at this location. We spent 480 dollars on the party for 17 kids. Despite how expensive it is, we continued this tradition the last 5 years. Every experience before was good, but yesterday was absolutely awful. The host in charge of directing the party wasn't attentive or very helpful. She had to keep being found all night for assistance. There wasn't any structure and minimal planning on her part. My sister and I had to take over and figure it out ourselves w

Food was okay. Totchos were great, burger we was okay. Went again last night. We had the totchos again, and they were even better than last time. We also had the avacado fries with the serrano sauce and they were excellent as well. Totchos are still amazing! Chef Gar is a masterclass in cooking!

Went to bowling alley for late lunch. Sister said burgers and fries were good. I had chicken strip and fries. They were good. Place was quiet so we could visit. Waitress was great.

The staff were very kind and helpful. The food was fantastic, especially the fried green beans. Service was great, they were very fast getting the food out. I had a group of 7 people, and everyone had a great time. Can't wait to go again.

Prices were outrageous. I paid 65$ for 2 cards and 3 people to play laser tag. I wanted to try it out since it was closer than the one in Rochester. I can get 4 cards as a package deal for $82, that included 40 credits( on each card), a game of bowling and 15mins of lazer tag.

Arrived ahead of a group of 10 and was told to wait to reserve lanes until our entire party arrived. Once the rest of them arrived 20ish minutes later we were told we couldn't bowl because they had to have lanes ready for the league coming in at 6:30, over an hour later. There was only a couple of lanes being used in the entire space during this whole time and it was still mostly empty when we left. Incredibly disappointing service.

Love this place great place for birthday parties a little expensive but totally worth it I would recommend though with little kids for example having 10 kids all at once you're better off just doing the arcade with getting the private birthday party room cuz the bowling gets a little boring for the children

We had an excellent time at the Taylor Swift Bowling party and I hope they do more fun things like that in the future. I've also gone just for bowling and pizza and the arcade which was a great time. The facility is clean, the food is great and the staff was friendly and helpful!

Get more high chairs! To think 2 high chairs for the entire facility would work is crazy. Hard pass on the appetizers too. Full order of cheese curds for 7.99 and you get 14 crispy curds- after thirty minutes of waiting. Thankfully they have a ton of space, bowling alley, and arcade to keep you busy. Burgers are a solid choice too. They do have a great staff - we ended up getting comped for the cheese curds. They are very helpful

Have a group of 12 people show up around 5:00pm and asked if we could have 2 lanes for bowling. They denied our services and said they could not help us cause they had a a league showing up at 6:30. So we took or business elsewhere.

We hired sparetime to cater our wedding day meal. We paid a lot of money per plate! We went to a taste testing. Bottom line is, if we had been served at the taste test what we were served at our wedding meal, we would not have chosen this meal. Great place. Kids had fun in the arcade, lazer tag, and eating pizza. The pizza was delicious. Food reasonably priced. We went on the weekend and didn't bowl because they rented lanes by the hour and I don't like that. Otherwise, 5 stars.

I've never had a bad experience here. I enjoy the atmosphere for bowling. I have only had appetizers. The staff have always been nice when I have gone.

We took our 1.5 year old bowling for the first time. He loved it! They have guard rails and ramps for the little ones. The arcade was open and great fun too!

We went for supper on a Sunday evening. It was busy and noisy. The service was very good. The food was fine but nothing special. I had the chicken panini with fries. I like that a beer from a local brewery (Mineral Springs) was available on tap. From our seats we could look right into the men's restroom (to see the sink).

Me and the dudes wanted to have a guys night and chose to go here. When we got there we met a really rude lady who seemed annoyed at us for daring to ask for Lazer tag. She was sarcastic to us and when we went into the Lazer tag room she didn't turn the lights on and only half of the guns were even connected to the game. We went for food and drink and not bowling. That being said, the service was good. I can't say it was bad at all. I got an app to share with my wife and it was absolutely delicious. It was very large too so we didn't order anything else. They have a good selection of beers on tap. I can't complain about really anything. It was a good trip and I'll definitely be back again. I was impressed.

I have now had three Togo orders here and each one has been fantastic. They now have an online ordering system that makes ordering a breeze. I would definitely recommend their burgers and to show up a little before the time they say it's going to be done. Prices are excellent for this type of restaurant.

Brought a hockey team here. All the kids had fun and overall service was ok given it was very busy. Staff were definitely overworked which ended in a lot of waiting for a lane to be fixed multiple times. That wouldn't have been a big deal either, except they charge for lanes by the hour. That's where the real struggle came. Explain to me how to fairly divide cost between a large group when some kids sat and waited for their lane to be fixed while others played the whole time? This was our first trip here. Service was really good, and lots of games to play. Bowling is a pretty good deal, and the tablets to manage your bowling lanes are a nice touch. Food was good, we ordered a kids burger and a Philly cheese steak. Food cane fast, and fries were crispy. Overall, we we're impressed with the food and service, and we will return.

Great place for a planned family event. A good hometown atmosphere with lunch and dinner options. Birthday party lanes and seating can be arranged in advance. I highly recommend this location.

Good bar food, well maintained lanes, and nice scoring system. Arcade/Lazer Tag prices are a bit steep for small town fare. The high school staff we interacted with were friendly, mostly on task and helpful. The remodel was a huge improvement, so kudos to them on investing in the facility. Probably could've been cleaner considering it wasn't particularly busy. Arcade area was a mess for the 2+ hours we were there, and there weren't very many kids or families there using it.

There didn't seem to be any servers or restaurant staff dedicated to the lanes, which made ordering food/drinks while bowling a bit disruptive, but the service received was fast and friendly and the food was good. I also noted the staff were quick to wipe down tables when lanes were vacated.

My family stopped at Spare Time on Saturday,April 17. The food was outstanding, the service was prompt and courteous. The Cuban Sandwich was wonderful. We will be back for sure if we are ever back in the area.

Delicious food! Server was attentive. Food coming out of the kitchen a little slow. In all fairness, it's the first weekend opened since second covid shutdown. Definitely worth a second trip.

I had initially wrote a terrible yet accurate review. The customer service was horrible before on numerous occasions. However, I went here last night and the customer service was great! Our waitress was beyond accommodating and on it with everything. We didn't have to ask for anything because of how attentive she was. The bartender I talked to was helpful and friendly as well. I heard they had new management and I hope this is the new norm!

The bar-b-que pizza is really good and the service is friendly. I have taken my family there for bowling and arcade games and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was clean and orderly with staff that were quick to assist us and answer our questions. I highly recommend Spare Time Entertainment for a fun afternoon or evening out.

Food is amazing each time we go there. We had them cater our wedding sides and night snack, and could've have asked for anyone better. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable, staff is usually very attentive and timely!

Great place to go with the family so no much to do there

Called to ask if we needed to reserve a lane for nephews birthday. The teenage kid on the phone said no they have plenty of lanes. We showed up at 1:15 and they then said that we could only bowl until 2 as they didn't have any lanes. Meanwhile we order food in which took over half hour to get. 2:00 our lanes got shut down and as we ate our food they never proceeded to fill those lanes. If your going to run a establishment at lest get help that knows what their doing.

I called Thursday night to ask about pricing for Friday at 1pm. Was told $4.25 a game $3.50 for shoes OR $25 for an hour,shoes included. Sent special needs son with companion on Friday at 119pm and son was charged $35.95 to bowl 2 games and $3.50 for shoes. How is this even POSSIBLE!?!? Talk about taking advantage of a vulnerable adult!!

The manager here is a hoot. Great place. Good food too. They have good lanes for bowling. Over all positive atmosphere.

We hosted 122 hockey families and skaters at Spare time over the weekend. I can't express how AMAZING the Catering and Events Manager April was to work with prior to the event! The food was reasonably priced and outstanding, the bowling and laser tag was beyond affordable for the group, and the staff including the GM were spot on with service! I would give 100 stars if i could! Please stop by if in the area!

We came here for my son's birthday in July and back again last weekend for my daughter's birthday. They love it. Clean family fun!

Met a friend for lunch. Waitress was awesome but the food was awful. Ordered an oriental-style chicken wrap that was so soaked with dressing I tried to eat it with a knife and fork but that didnt work any better than holding on to it. The tortilla was soaked! And upon cutting into it, it was way heavy on greens and had maybe a tablespoon of chicken in one half. I didnt even attempt to eat the other half. Been a few years since the last time I was in but still a great bowling spot. Tried out the Lazer tag, it was pretty fun. We had a group of 9. Service was great and the bar staff was awesome.

Our table of four has been here 2 separate times for lunch and it has taken 45 minutes from putting our order in to receiving our food. The food has always been great! They just don't do it fast enough for a lunch break.

I brought my elderly mother to Sparetime with my family. She has a hard time getting up from chairs and the young man working there tonight helped me keep her upright when she lost her balance getting up out of her chair. I want to thank him for his help and empathy. Food is always good!

This place is awesome! For only $10.00 they give you a game pad card that's good for - 2 hours of play for the arcade games!! You don't earn points or tickets and any coin or instant prize games are not included. Bowling is very reasonable too! Friendly helpful staff made everything complete and worth going!!

This place is great! You can save money or spend a little more getting prizes from the arcade. The prizes are very cool, tickets are easy to get too! I go as often as I can. Great family place! Kids can run around, the staff is understanding and really tolerable! Great people! The bowling is also fun, lots of selections for sizes of the bowling balls! The drinking fountain is also up to par. Wish I got more plays and the exchanged cash for game current worked on all machines. Definitely recommended!!

We have gone here all year to enjoy the bloody mary bar until today. I found moldy cheese half way thru my bloody. When I returned the bloody and the cheese, the manager told me that she used to work at a cheese shop and they sold cheese like that and then charged me full price. Not even an I am sorry. My wife and I go to sparetime almost every week to bowl for cosmic bowling. Teri (manager) is awesome and extremely welcoming. We go there and feel like we are family. Workers are always friendly. Ethan should get a big shout out for all he does. Super energetic, extremely nice and a hard worker. If you need a bowling ball or get one drilled. Briley should be your go to. If I could put more than 5 stars on. I would.

Deep fried green beans are the best. Burger and fries were piping hot, delivered fresh. Only down-side,...rap was playing which is not very common for most people's taste.

Limited menu because they claim their kitchen was closed. The quesadillas were only fair. The service however was wonderful and the waitress did everything she could to apologize for the poor menu selections.

I was there for pool league... service was just ok... the waiter would come to the tables and ask a couple that was there for a while if they were ok but, when I asked for something said that if you're in league you had to go to the bar to order...I didn't want food just a drink?!? You'd think he'd want a tip?!? Well, here's your tip... maybe go the extra mile to help... it's called good customer service which at this place is very hard to get!!

The young man who helped us was really nice. We had a great time at Spare Time, all the staff were friendly and went above and beyond especially the counter man Gary ?? who made sure we knew all about the extra games and mini games w/ bowling and laser tag. In a town with limited options this place makes no effort; terrible food, over priced and small food portions, slow and lazy staff, but that's okay with the management because there's no where else for the citizens of Owatonna to go. Shame really because with just a little effort this place could be awesome. If you can, head to Busters and Dave's in the metro, your family and friends will thank you.

Waited in line forever with no one before me before anyone would acknowledge me or my family. Was able to get 2 lanes then after bowling for an hour was told that I needed to be moved but could only have 1 lane which wasn't going to work with 10 people playing. So before I was told to move with the intent to play 3/4 games we ordered 70$ food, but wasn't able to cancel because it was being made.

Very well kept up and clean. Great seating for bowling. Great arcade and laser tag. Fantastic food and service. Easily one of the best places in town to spend a Friday night.

Nice lanes and arcade selection. Reasonable prices. Jumbo pretzel was a great snack to enjoy with our beverages while we played a couple strings.
