Music is good but they don't sanitize the skates at all. I watched the short man wt white hair literally just put them on the rack after I took them off my foot. Chairs, benches, pews, and carpet is filthy smells like urine. Bathroom stall does don't lock, sinks are outside of the bathroom.
This place is a blast! Love the environment and they have some unique concepts at the rink like seating in the middle while practicing or jamming and the rolling hills are super fun. Also we went on a Saturday evening and seen some People start a skate train, have not seen that since I was a kid! Highly recommend trying this rink out if you're in the OKC area.
Really good spot, I absolutely love the wooden floor! They also have this cool hilly section. Prices are fair. Why the 3 stars? It's entirely due to the music. Music is good, don't get me wrong. Old, but good. DJ just kept the same vibe the entire night. No fast pace songs, just slow chill music. Which was great, but he could definitely change it at least every 15-30 minutes to give the place some life. I requested a song and even asked if he could just play something fast pace to get people pumped and he
My daughter's boyfriend's first time skating! Great environment, budget friendly & we loved that they offer rollerblade rentals too!
We always do birthday parties there they have great prices and literally work with single moms moms on a budget definitely recommend great place
DO NOT OWN RIGHTS TO MUSIC DJ Slimm out of Texas had the place on fire tonight so much fun Every 2nd Sunday of the month is Adult Skate Night 8pm to 11pm
It was a good place. It was so fun and we got there was like games there and we eat pizza
Love this place. Been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids here. My dad used to come here as a kid as well. Love the wood floor and the bumps area! So fun. Good atmosphere good music great staff for sure !!!
still charge regular price if you bring your own skates, otherwise, good skating place, decent prices, clean and not too crowded
Great. My kids love it has always love it.We even moved out of town and they still ask to go back when we go check on my house on the weekends awesome place very awesome staff....
i love this place my kids go here every night
I js love going thar bc the workers are so nice
My kids and my friends kids are regulars here they go in large groups almost every weekend if they can. It's a little pricey compared to when I remember going myself back in the day but like everything else inflation of course. It's $15 per person if you are getting rentals, they have a snack bar with pizzas that are really good they have an area where you can go sit in with tables for birthday parties, and they also have a small arcade area. I just wish they stayed open longer, other than that it's a good
My experience at SouthWest Skate was not bad, I couldn't complain. I came back recently to have that same fun like I did as a kid. But I was somewhat disappointed mostly because of the Music!!! ???? I literally ask the staff members who's in charge of the Music and they pointed to the people up front. So I asked him can we play something more upbeat, more energy. I wanted to request better music choices but they told me the songs are set. I tried to request a song and he told me that ?we will see if it's i
We had Blast ! Very fun time with the kiddos. We went for a birthday party. Skates are comfortable. Good music. Good food choices. Fun store and arcade games.
Been coming here since I was a kid myself, so the fact that I can bring my kids to enjoy it just as much as I did is wonderful. My kids love having their bday parties here! Totally Recommend!
Just looking at the photos, the ceiling and walls are nasty. Looks dingy.
We had our son's birthday party there and everything went smooth and kids were very happy and price was very reasonable
Service was nice, but people were being rude.??
Oh my goodness! This place is filled with fun! From the music to the vibe it's just a great atmosphere. My family and I come skating here and no where else for family fun night! We also had my son?s birthday party here and the price was surprisingly affordable!!
Grand kids seem to love birthday parties here. Concession service is slow and pricey. They also sell a variety of trinket junk so bring some $$$ for that too.
The music was good they just did not have training skates or the handicap rails for young kids so we had a birthday party for kids under 5 and nobody got to really skate. Other than that it's a good place for grown folks.Jus my opinion
South skate was a great choice for our daughters birthday! Their equipment is well maintained! The rink was clean and well cared for, food delicious! Everyone we spoke with was respectful and pleasant! Their parties are affordable and the owner is a humble human who is their to help the kids with a safe place to be! We will be returning Thank you south skate!
It's fun to skate there and on Wednesday it's 6$ and I like they it's cheap I love it!!!
Really fun place took my kids there for there bday to fun
One of the better Rinks in OK County. Best place to learn how to spin. The owner is a great guy. You can catch him there all the time. Getting me some new skates through him as a matter of fact. And he'll work with you.
I have went skating here ever since I was a Teenager then I've taken all my kiddos. We love it!! ??
Great experience for all. Super friendly staff. Pretty good food. Awesome atmosphere. Just good ol family fun.
Favorite Family Fun event every week! Atmosphere, owners, music, concession, rentals, parking, bathrooms, game room, dining area, all the staff and feeling safe. I absolutely enjoy coming! If your looking for great place for all ages to enjoy this is the place. And on the rink they are always doing something fun as in a game or race or speed skating. Please don't miss out!
My sister had a planned birthday party for her daughter today. 9/19/21. She talked to them when scheduled. Party members start showing up and their closed. Seriously!!! Why schedule a party when your closed??? Now where to do a party and notify everyone. Smh!!!
Went here all the time as a kid back around like 2004 or 2005 ish, my husband and I came here to go skating tonight and had a lot of fun. It's more or less the same as it was back when I frequented here when I was 8. I'm so glad it's still up and running and hasn't been dilapidated or torn down like so many of the places that were around when I was little. The food (nachos) were better than expected. The only thing I didn't care much for was all the children purposely throwing themselves around and making i
As a parent of an 11 yr old, I am highly concerned that there was a group of girls who ganged up on and jumped an 11 year old little girl on Saturday! This is not a safe place for children. I personally will never visit this establishment again. *the one star rating was forced upon me to make the review
This is the best place to have birthday parties. The pizza is so amazing. I loved it. Takes me back to Ny. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids.
We had a great time at my granddaughters birthday party! They have the best "skating rink" pizza I've ever had. The party area was roomy and clean. The kids enjoyed skating, I thought the "Bumps" we're a fun element. The music was super good. Great for young and old.
Man.. the last time I went I was probably8- 10yrs old.. I started skateboarding.,. they had skateboard night or something like that ..they put out ramps it's was pretty awesome.. I'm 45 yrs old now ... And went with a friend for the're daughters bday.. man great memories of my youth...
It was great! My sister and I took the grandbabies to skate. I had a good time watching the kids and adults skate with their kids. They played good music and had games for all ages to participate in. I had fun but they could use more space for parents to sit especially if they have infants with them could possibly be dangerous if not paying attention to the skaters as they zoom in too fast. Some of the lockers didn't lock after paying to open one. So I would advise not to leave nothing too important in o
Absolutely the worst birthday party ever. They didn't give us the pizza for 2 hours or drinks. They didn't give the glow sticks that were paid for to the kids... They did an aweful job in my opinion. Will not go back
I never been there but my son has several times until I started seeing all the bad. This apparently is the spot for delinquents and young gang members. Not everyone There is up to no good. Their are good kids in the mix. But in this case, for me, the bad out weighs the good. Kids hang out in the parking lot, in the neighbor hood. If your child is vulnerable, this isn't the place to hang out and skate. Other than that, my child liked it, but he's not easily influenced.
The owner is so nice! They are the only rink that I've found that is open Wednesday and the staff is very helpful. Not the best floor I've seen but definitely not the worst or even bad. The best part is I haven't noticed the horrible skate mates so I feel safer skating there. Oh, they also have coffee (bonus after a long day)!
Kameron Roberts, was such a kind young man who is a little short but he was very helpful I will definitely be taking my children there again!
So so fun!!! Staff was so sweet and the food was surprisingly good. Check out these nachos. These were made with love?? good Saturday night out with the family. Will go again.
Very nice! I would recommend taking your kids here the staff are nice the food is pricey but good and the rink is not the big but for beginners I do recommend going here!
Went here Thursday evening with my kids and husband and the gentleman teaching how to skate was really nice and he gave the kids great tips they learned how to skate by the end of the night. I used to go here 20 years ago when I was a kid and its still the fun place for kids to hang out. Also I love this place for their affordable prices especially in times like these. We are now a regular here best skate center!
Its an affordable place to go . But honestly as a parent people drop off their little kids or young teens and just leave them there like the place is a daycare. There were 2 young girls maybe 10-12 years of age that were high off of marijuana i am pregnant and all i could smell was their stintch of marijuana!!! And the staff didnt do anything about them and they knew them by their first names. Like seriously!!! They should nit be letting kids come in there under the influence. I even called the police depar
My daughter had the best birthday there it was very low in cost 5 out of 5 recommend
Hadn't been here since I was a kid! This place hasn't changed a bit! Still a great place for a family outing! Only thing I could say is make the admission a little cheaper to get more people who can't afford the $10 to enter. This place is too good to limit it to families who can afford $20 to $30 or more for a night of skating!
This place sucks, the prices are ridiculous. They are not very nice to my children. They are rude too. They always get everyone in trouble. Its not quality fun. They play to clean of songs, gangster it up yo. i like that rap stuff yo. I like rock too but not as much. I just dont like it. Ill be going to Skate Moore or Yukon next time. THIS PLACE SUCKS.
My kids have been going there since they were little and they really love it but I think the place needs to be more safe for my kids cuz there is people there telling my kids rude things scaring them and getting bullied there I know y'all can't control what other people do but can you at least try please and thank you my kids really love it there but it needs to be a safer place
Took the Kids on a Saturday man this be packed with kids everywhere!! But had a good time bought the kids light up pacifiers they loved them !!not expensive at all!!
Great friendly atmosphere
Was trying to have fun but some weird kid kept harassing and recording us for the hour we came so we left early
It's not a big place but not too small either. There is a part of the floor that needs a touch up. Other than that it's not a bad place to skate.
They hosted my daughters 6th birthday and we Had a blast!! Will definitely be doing back!
Excellent prices, great staff, really fun music and easy to get to, what a great place. You won't be disappointed!
it fun don't listen to other peoples comments
This was the worst birthday booking experience ever they wouldn't let us in until 7 supposed to get two xl pizzas and 10 drinks but you have to wait for other parties to get their pizza first great so can we have our drinks? No. Not until you get your pizza. Wow like we're kids what time is bed?!?! brought ice cream cups for cake was told we couldn't have them but could buy 10 for $10
Love this place! Wish it was open from 4pm to take the kids after school.
I use to go here when I was a kid .i was gonna try my luck at skating but I chickened out .im old now .lol .we attended a birthday party here .it was cool .the kids all had a great time .ill take mine back there any day.awesome place .well kept.clean .
my fave place to go with my kids they really enjoy it and meeting new friends on the weekend this is the best place for family time
I've been going to Southwestern Skate for as long as I can remember. It's fun, awesome, and a safe place for kids of all ages to hang out and have fun. The workers actually pay attention to the kids and they don't allow them to leave the building until the parents come. Love this place!
I used to go her when i was younger. Im 34 now but my kids have been a few times and they liked it too.
I've been going here sense I was a kid and know I bring my kids . Family fun! Had a blast! Great food , great , prices, great people!
My daughter had a South skate admission ticket it has NO date on it so you would assume it never expires!! But was told it was TOO OLD!! You should honor your own tickets/coupons!!! But apparently this place doesn't do that!!
BEWARE!!! We had my daughter's 7th birthday there a couple weeks ago and this was the WORST birthday party experience we've ever had in our multiple parties we've had throughout the years with different party places (mind you we have three kids)... This place takes the cake for worst experiences!!! Let me see where to begin... First of all they were charging for my guest who were NOT skating and were adding them to our tab! It was clear that they were not skating, they either didn't like to skate and/or wer
I am 35 years old and this place is still fun. I started going there when I was 16, and it still has the same magic it did then. Fun and safe for all ages
This place has disrespectful kids, but I know the people who work here can't control that. The people are ghetto also but again the people who work here can't control that either. But, I we loved the music that's what we basically loved. The roller blades need a little more work though. One of the skates were chipped and old and worn out.
Great place and amazing people, I go there when ever I get a chance. 10/10 would recommend going there.
Ok place for the kids but ghetto kids are there who like to steal shoes! They did nothing to help my daughter and friend find their shoes when lockers are not all working. Due to company?s fault. Don't let your children wear name brand shoes because apparently grown ups or ratchet kids are stealing them.
pls help me find this dude he had a curly fro and black jacket with a red shirt poking out i wanted to ask for his @ but i was to scared i was wearing a red long sleeve with grey pants and black headphones i fumbled pls help me find this beutifal man!!!!! my @ is _rei.0n1a???? on ig peep my gmail name idk how to change it
Honestly not a bad place to skate at . But the staff is very direspectful. There is no rule that you have to be wearing skates at the game and food bar if there was it should apply to all people in the rink including staff and parents. There were some kids playing air hockey with shoes on and even some kids running around barefoot. But one of the staff got onto us for simply standing in the game area.
Great family fun place. Great for kid Birthday parties. Concession food pretty good. Highly recommended for families with kids.
I love this place. It was an amazing place to hang here. Food is a bit pricey and there are a lot of teenage drama though.
I love this place and so do my kids. You will have the most fun ever. The people in charge know what they're doing. The skating floor is super clean and well maintained.
Always wanted to visit a rink like this and i finally have. I loved every minute of it. ONLY thing is that the flooring could use some work. I skated right into a hole and some parts gives the illusion that it's wet so you try avoiding it until you realize it not. But other than that, would definitely do again!
I like it so my grandkids can go on Fri or Sat they have security so nothing really happens as long as you pay fr a locker or things come up missing g if you don't grandkids live this place
It was our first time visiting and the children had a blast. Looking forward to our daughters birthday party next weekend.
Love it! Great place to take your grandkids every Thursday night only $5... you're the best grandma
Honestly staff is extremely rude, they kick people out for the most ridiculous reasons. I personally I'm not a great skater and I was kicked out of the food bar for not having my skates on, I understand they have a sign but not everyone can skate, and staying there 7-11 people get hungry/thirsty.but this still a fun place
Had my daughters Birthday Party here and we had a blast! Staff was very nice and their In House made Pizza was delicious!
Absolutely my favorite place to skate, i go every wednesday and the staff is excellent. Shout out to the kids working concessions, theyre always so polite and fun to interact with. Id give this place 10 stars if i could.
Great place but you do have to be caution about where you put your belongings but other than that the food is great and the place
I would highly advise for any parent thinking about dropping thier child off at this rink or any place for that matter with out a guardian or responsible adult there with them, to NOT LEAVE THIER CHILD UNATTENDED, Yes there was an 11yr old child jumped by 4 others here, I'M NOT GONNA SIT HERE AND SAY IT'S THIS RINKS FAULT THIS HAPPENED BUT I AM GONNA SAY THIS, I PERSONALLY WOULD NEVER WANT TO LEAVE MY CHILD ANYWHERE WHERE VIOLENCE IN THIS NATURE COULD TAKE PLACE, it's very sad that this happens to chil
Nice floor however the staff suck, bunch of kids running it. Also they play the old classic dodgeball, which is skate in a circle while the staff throw balls at your face. Music sucks, no shuffle skating, couples or notta in the 3 hrs i was there. Kinda stunk for 8 bucks. Wont go back.
Great service! They do a military discount on their already low prices which is outstanding! We love coming here!
Parents beware. This place doesn't know what it wants. The floor guides and announcers are very active, warning about speed and attire, not letting patrons play dodgeball (Basically, it's employee target practice) and having a Guy watching for infractions on skates in the middle of everyone. That's fine...if the focus is kids. But then the atmosphere is not for younger kids. The music is hip hop and rap exclusively, and they don't limit it to clean versions. Just as bad, the projectors show music videos u
This facility is dirty---like really dirty! The staff acts like they are too busy to be bothered. The wooden floor is uneven, so even the best of skaters can easily be tripped up. Their pro shop has things listed on their website, that they do not carry in the store--and they are extremely rude when they tell you that they have to order it. The lady that runs this place really should take some child-care courses, if to learn nothing more than how to treat children. The people who DO frequent this place are
Good deal on Saturday! Well staffed and fun!
My kids love this place. They Uber there and back. Teen Uber
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
