The kids and I had an amazing experience here. It was very memorable to say the least. They have several dining options.. both indoors and outdoors. They have mini golf ?? by waterfalls, 3D Animated Excursions, Go Carts, Bumper Boats, Playland, Zip Lining, Arcade Games ??? & Lazer Tag! Everything was entertaining, fun and enjoyable! This is the perfect place to take the family for an adventurous outing! ???????
We had an awesome day at Sonny?s Place! The food was great and the atmosphere was really fun and welcoming. There's so much to do?mini golf, go-karts, a fun arcade, batting cages, and even rock climbing and a zip line that gave us a serious adrenaline rush. The ice cream was a tasty treat, and we loved winding down at the bar?Jo, the bartender, was amazing! We also found out they have a cornhole league on Wednesdays, which sounds like a great time. Definitely worth the visit! .
Father's Day bash was awesome. We truly enjoyed the food, the rides, the associates, the music, and the atmosphere was friendly, with positive energy all around. The best place to go for family enjoyment.
Great prices, good food, many amazing activities and affordable. Make sure to try the bummer boats and bring a set of changing clothes for the kids.
Loved it!! Birthday parties are also really fun and well made. The rides are cool, atmosphere is the best part with their nice fire pits all around and it's just nice fresh air to enjoy. Staff is nice! Also.. biggest arcade I've ever seen. I still gotta go back to try the restaurant & bar but so far it looked great!
Have had lots of fun at Sonny?s place. Have seen at least a dozen bands. Great venue and beverage options. Lots of room to stretch out with friends. Tons of parking. A wide variety of kid friendly options from mini golf to bumper boats, arcade, zip lining, and more.
Had the best experience. Love the new mini-golf course with waterfalls & volcano. Clean, challenging, nicely designed with good lighting for nighttime game. Would recommend. Staff was great too.
Great place for live shows. There is plenty of room and a couple bars. Good sound
Great day in mid-April. There are so many things for the kids to do. The playground area is a day pass, so they can go in and out as they want. It's also safe with one entrance/exit and an attendant right there watching. You use a park play card to pay for all activities like a debit card. Go karts are great for kids aince they are quick but not to fast. Electric not gas. Little ones can ride with adults. Overall, it was a great day with a great variety of activities for the kids. Finally the French frie
I like that they have an outdoor Pavillion for bands, food, ice cream, go carts, zip line, arcade and plenty of space to walk around. All great things to do, but many arcade games don't work and you lose your money. It was nice to not pay extra for bands. They now can have a $10 cover and you don't know until you arrive since it's not posted. Bar lines are ridiculous and hiring more bartenders would bring in way more than the cover. It's gone downhill, costs more and it's not worth it.
Was sad the go karts didn't go very fast. The mini golf was a lot of fun.
A little on the pricey side, but I guess that is what you get when you have every attraction "a la carte". I do think I actually prefer to have the attractions be on a pay per use however I do think that they should have like a package deal where you could get more than one use on certain things if you spend a certain amount or something like that. I brought my 10-year-old and 3-year-old boys and they seem to have a blast although the 10-year-old was able to do much more than the 3-year-old which was quite
This is a super fun place. They have two mini golf courses that are actually top notch. The Monkey Madness mini golf is the best. It has a active volcano, a water fall, and several very cool obstacles. It's not really that crowded pre-summer or on rainy days. They have a zip line, a full arcade, and batting cages too. It's a great spot for adults and children alike. Highly recommend the miningolf and trying out the zip line.
It's fun, but a bit overpriced. They have an arcade, mini golf, bumper boats, batting cages, laser tag, etc.
Great place my kids loved it. Everything was really good the 3d shooting ride was the best and the tiki mini golf. Definitely worth giving it a try. We will definitely drive the hr again to go back
Sonny's place was definitely worth it! There are so many fun things to do. The pricing is so worth it. You go in and add money to a card that allows you to pay for any activity you want. We paid $9.50 each for golf. You get to choose from 2 different golf. We chose classic golf, and we played 18 holes. There is a carousel that is inside. That is only $2.50 each. The arcade is inside and is huge! The kids will like that, with the tickets they win , they can get prizes. Inside is also the laser tag, the
Always lots of fun at Sonny's place! We went there to see a band, and it was ridiculously busy. The bartenders were overwhelmed and the drink lines were 20-30 people deep (no exaggeration). It was awful and then of course, so are their drink prices.. And now it's a $10 cover to get in. Getting ridiculous to go there now
Great place for the kids, if you're looking for somewhere where your kids can run around and have fun and you're not. Hovering is a wonderful place to take home, especially now, with the summer.
I recently visited Sonny?s Place with my mentee through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and we had an incredible time! The range of activities was perfect for keeping both of us entertained. We started with the arcade, which had a variety of games for all ages. From skee ball to virtual reality experiences, there was something fun for everyone. We also tried the mini-golf course, which was well-maintained and challenging enough to be fun but not too difficult for beginners. The go-karts were a highlight for both
Had a really good time with the kids. They have a bunch of stuff the kids can do at decent prices. Our kids enjoyed the Laser Tag, Go-Karts, Arcade, Carousel and the batting cages. Staff was friendly and polite. Great day out with the family.
Great time with the two teens and even a 2 year old on school break. The zip line was definitely a hit ?? Very clean. We couldn't believe the size and quality of the cheeseburgers...wow!! Thank you for a great day!
Me and my family go there every year, and we are never disappointed. Especially with their new golf course, awesome zip line, and arcade games. 5/5 totally recommend.
Attending TJ's company picnic at Sonny's Place in Somers, CT was an absolute blast! Despite the recent storm, the place was buzzing with excitement. From mini-golf to go-karts and even a carousel, there was something for everyone. The atmosphere was lively, the staff friendly, and the facilities well-maintained. It was a perfect day out for both kids and adults alike. -Marisa Balletti-Lavoie
So from my experience this place kids would enjoy more than adults. The only thing I truly enjoy was lazer tag, rock climbing and the red circle ride that I forgot the name of it. The go kart run on battery not gas and they controlled the speed in the beginning and in the end but it wasn't fast enough. But again kids would love this place.
Such a cool place for all ages. Two burgers, two fries, 2 drinks $28.00 not bad. The soaring eagle was $8 per person. They also have laser tag, arcades, VR games and so much more. I will definitely go back.
Took my son and dad here last weekend. This place is so much fun for all ages! We did Laser Tag, Go Carts, 3D Dark Ride(Werewolf was the best), Zip Line and my 8 year old played in the HUGE play place outside. Laser Tag is $15 per person. It is 2 floors and let me tell you, it is a workout. There are 4, 6 minute rounds. After the first 6 minute round we all were ready to tap out??They have a bar inside and a beautiful outdoor seating area by the bar outside. Wish I took more pictures but...my phone died. Wi
I have 7 year old twins who love the play structure! I can't get them away from it when we go! $10 for a kid to run/play/climb themselves tired and having a blast doing it! Can't beat that! Two different mini golf courses, we played one once and loved it! Many more rides and attractions. The staff is extremely friendly! Great atmosphere! I love the card system - put your money on a Sonny?s card and pay for the attraction you want to go on or spend it at the arcade (: great for the family and kids of all age
I really like this place alot. I go there once a month to visit the place. It is a good enjoyable place for family and friends. Go Karts are my favorite. I also like golf spot they have. The best part about is the rides and the virtual reality games they have. It is pretty lit. (Its also a nice date spot) also during halloween time its very nice.
Bring the noise!!! This place is killer. Its boss. Huge!!! Lots of xool stuff 2 do for you and your lil beaners. We took our two there and it was really great. Bring your wallet too just get the everything pass its worth it. Plan on a full day!! Have a great time.
Unfortunately there is incompetency over the running of the batting cages. I was given a receipt and was told to show that to the "person over there" when going to cage. There was no one there. The cages did not work at all. I waited for roughly 5 minutes and no one showed up. I walked back to the front desk, informed them there was no there, and was given the reply of "oh we'll turn it on for you" and did not even tell me which cage lane to use. Anyways, the cages proceeded to not work for the next 10 minu
Held duo birthday party between a teenager and a 9 year old. Emma, our assistant coordinator, went beyond and above from assisting us with decor to party games and with food service. Definitely wanted to exspress our gratitude for her professionalism and excellence within her job title in this review. Needless to say, when you can pull off entertaining the two age groups throughout an entire event together, it's definitely a success! Everyone had such a good time here that everyone lingered after the part
Had so much fun there with my 17 year old grandson who is visiting from CA. We loved the new addition which included the new mini golf area. Very challenging. Prices are reasonable and he liked have a cheeseburger. Said it was delicious. He likes to revisit Sonny's place when he visits me yearly.
Super great place for all ages... we had a great birthday celebration there, and my kid was Happy ??. We played arcade games, used the go-karts and had a blast in the XD dark ride room.
Go carts go pretty fast, couldn't get around the one in front of me. Zip line went very high, I was feeling the fright. 18 hole mini golf was great, beautiful water falls all around. Arcades had a lot of fun games to play along with Lazar tag, dark room and virtual reality. We had lunch and ice cream. We played in the batting cage. Cost us $200 for 6 of us.
Sonny's is a place that kids enjoy, but it gets real expensive real quick. To have your children experience the rides and attractions you must pre-purchase a gift card that will get scanned every time you enjoy one of the rides. The rides include Rock wall climbing, trampoline bungie jumping, merry-go-round, go-kart racing, zip line, and a jungle gym. Each time your child wants to enjoy a 'ride' it costs ~$4, and just between my 2 small kids the costs added up real quick. Just to allow a child 3 and under
Pretty awesome place to have a good time with kids. Batting cages, go-carts, arcade games and great prizes...Not to mention 2 mini-golf courses. Must do!!!
Really good location for family and adults as well. They have ice cream, food, batting cages, a jungle gym space, mini golf, an arcade, and a bar with live music later in the evening. They also have a few fire pits to sit around and enjoy the evening. The bar has great service and the prices are incredibly good. Easy to find and plenty of parking available. The mini golf is handicap accessible and even adjusts one of the holes for handicapped individuals. Bathrooms on site are clean.
This place is a lot of fun. Went there with the kids on a weekday in the summer. Had ice cream, rode the gocarts and spent a lot of time on the monkey jumpers. The kids loved it. They have an arcade there too. It isn't inexpensive but as an occasional treat it's a great outing for the family.
Only reason its not one star is because the course is incredible and played here many times before over the years but you need to sign a waiver to do anything here now including mini-golf and the arcade just to get by. Probably won't be going here for a while as long as that is enforced.
One of the best places in this area for family with kids!!! So much to do and try new things! Kids love this place. Workers are nice. Go carts are so much fun! Great place to go on a warm day to have awesome time with family!
First time there for an outside concert... place looks super fun for some outside activities and warm summer nights out. I like that they had outside bars and even had a special for the night. Can't wait to go back next spring
It's a fun place to go but super expensive! Plan on at least 50.00 or more per person , if you want to do a decent amount of things. (that doesn't even include getting food or playing arcade games). Unfortunately we only go about 2 times per season because its too expensive! Maybe they should come up with some sort of season pass or card load deal. The mini golf area needs a lot of repairs. For the amount we pay to play it, it should be in tip top shape! Actually the whole place should be in tip top shape.
When a waiver says they are not responsible for anything, even IF IT IS DUE TO THEIR OWN NEGLIGENCE. That's a reason to avoid a business. I understand waivers are needed at time, and they know most people don't read them. Just know you are signing that even if they knew something was wrong, they are not responsible. That's absolutely horrible!
This is the second time I brought my kids here and they lived it. There just so much to do. The playground is big enough the kids will want to stay on there, but there so much more. From batting cages, to zip lines to a cool arcade. There's even batting cages, go carts, mini golf and more. I also can't forget the food and ice cream. Definitely not the best food, but fine for the place. We will definitely be back
Fun place to take you kids on the weekends the have go carts gaming arcade a little mini golf course and a little restaurant to get your beverages.....a little pricey but worth it for the family.
They allowed another driver to repeatedly ram our car seven times with a child in it. The staff saw it repeatedly the driver brought to staff?s attention and they did nothing. The stupid waiver does nothing when your staff permits observed negligence and did nothing.
Super fun. Went for Easter brunch tons too do kid had a blast on the go carts
Went here for some fun. We did mini golf and go karts. The mini golf course is not too hard, and it's fun, although a lot of the fountains, signs and decorative objects were damaged or poor quality. The go karts were really fun. There's lot of other stuff here to do, like an arcade, batting cages, two restaurants, laser tag, etc. Nice place for some afternoon fun.
My young sister did this track it was good for beginners that are turning the basics of karting before they get into actual karting. for me and my brothers we race shifter karts which can reach speeds of 80 miles per hour.my sister enjoyed alot for karting I would recommend it to anyone under the age of 10 and below due to the karts only reaching 15 miles per hour.
Name, phone number, email, AND date of birth to sign a waiver giving up ALL your rights even if they are negligent, just to go to a concert? nfw? I guess enough people actually agree to that, but not me.
Perfect place to host a Birthday party. So much for the kids to do. Parents can have a drink and listen to some live music. Food is delicious. Can't wait for the new addition to open up.
Great experience. We did everything my 5 yr old wanted and had lunch for $50. He loved the playland and go carts.
Great place to have fun with the family. My kids enjoyed this place so much. Very entertaining and affordable. I also enjoyed the Pavillion and got myself some mommy juice.??
My family had an amazing here!!! There was so much to do! There was live music, great food, and even drinks for myself and my husband. Our kids didn't want to leave!
Love this place so much! Excellent venue. Fun for kids and adults. Pulled pork and mac/cheese was ok but would've liked more pork and maybe pork on a roll.. But great place and I'll be back!!!
Place has expanded a lot with lots of fun stuff to do, some attractions run at 9.00$ per person so expect to spend some money. Go karts, Lazer tag, zip line, vr, mini golf and more will guarantee a great day with the family.
The money goes fast here but definitely worth it, bumper boats were extremely fun and will definitely be back !
You have to fill out a waiver and give over your email and phone number just to walk onto the property. This is so stupid. You have to give away info that they then get to sell just to walk on? Lower the prices then. I see what you're doing and hate it.
Great family fun center. Today was my second visit and I ate at the Pavillion with my bestie. Live music, apps and a beverage was just what we needed. Would have been 5 stars but if I'm being honest, and I usually am, our server was friendly but slow. She seemed to have tables all over the place and couldn't keep up with what direction she needed to turn to next. Will definitely go back.
Took my 2 boys (5 and 2.5). So much fun and great for all ages. Little pricey but totally work it for all the fun in a close area. Def will be back again!
Went today for the first time. Cool place to have some family fun. Staff we interacted with were very nice. Everyone there had a smile on their face and seemed to really be having a good time. We let our 2.5 year old son go into the big jungle gym thing. He didn't really understand what it was about and the staff member showed him what to do and he was off having fun after that. 2 hours he was climbing all around and had a wonderful time. We only paid $7 for him to climb as long as he wanted. We will be bac
Great music venue. The best cover bands play there.
OMG! We had such a blast. I took my Godson and his cousin for his bday and we had fun from the moment we arrive until it was time to leave. We did everything from laser tag to go cart racing, to shoot hoops. They didn't want to leave and we are def going to plan another trip.
A great place to have fun with the entire family. Very affordable and the staff are super friendly. That atmosphere is amazing. At night they light pit fires. The ice cream is delicious. The laser tag experience is really fun. The vr experience is really fun. Everything was fun! Never a dull moment. I'll be back.
Good bands, open air venue usually. It rained earlier so band was inside pavilion and it was super hot and they wouldn't open doors or windows... sweating all night. Guess that way they sell more beer? Cruel. Let people breathe!
We were told our puppy couldn't be on the premises although it doesn't indicate that anywhere prior to entering. My son was looking forward to being here and I was willing to stay in the outdoor areas. Don't seem to be a good place for those with mental or physical need and have a service dog.
Bathrooms were dirty. Food at the Cantina was not good, I had to ask for the toppings on my Nachos, literally brought me chips, cheese and chicken. No sour cream, no cilantro, no jalape?os, no salsa, and no extra queso that I paid for (I didnt return it because my group went out front to eat and I was done with all that at that point). For the price totally not worth it. A bunch of games were broken (out of order: 3 SkiBall, only 1 basketball, crane games, tomb raider, air hockey). Won't be going back there
Great place for kids and to hear good music. Depending on what kind of music you like.
My boyfriend and my favorite spot to visit in the summer! Go karts, an arcade, a mini zip line, and lots of other activities bring us back every year. Would visit if you can!
Thanks for making my step son?s birthday a great one! Prices were reasonable, especially on arcade games, and there was a lot of fun things to do. I used to take my nephew here when he was little and we always had a good time then too. 20 dollars extra on a pass when you spend 100 is totally worth it and we will be back next weekend!
Stopped by for a drink and some food with a few friends. Blown away by the quality of the BBQ, Chef Dave went out of his way to make sure we got the full experience. We will be back for sure!
Great place. Kids loved it. Clean and organized. Prices are decent and is equipped with modern games and electronic points/ticket system. Free entry, just purchase a card and load with Amount you need if you wish to get on any rides. The staff are very helpful and will explain the card process. Indoor arcade (with AC). Indoor restroom clean. Food is priced fairly.
Pretty awesome place and for 5 bucks you can play all day in a play scape or go to the batting cages and hit 50 balls. The now have a carousel which rides are free a little short but that could have been due to the person operating it. Spare of the moment or planned this is a good individual, family, or couples place
So many things to do here. (Well when it's warmer) The arcade has machines to put $ on a play card so no waiting in lines. The prizes are NOT a lot of tickets so it's easy to get a decent prize. Great staff. The have indoor laser tag, virtual reality section, go carts, mini golf. Batting cages, zip line etc. Party place for kiddos
Great place to have some fun. The mini golf course is the best around.
Sonny?s is a great place to bring the kids on a Sunday afternoon! My 8 year old daughter loves it here. Staff is friendly. Live music good food
Found this place last year while driving through. Knew I'd come back at some point. I came during winter hours so, none of the outdoor stuff was open, which kinda stinks because it was nice out, and I love mini golf. But I still had fun playing in the arcade. They have a motion ride where you can shoot at the screen and score points, that was fun. Also had some food at the arcade snack area. It's Mexican food themed, but they do have a classic burger or fries and a milk shake which was good. I can't wait to
What an awesome place. Watched a great band on a Sunday afternoon. This place has everything and the prices are perfect. Enjoy your time at sonny's place a must see.
They have lots of activities for kids , great experience
It was fun for all just bring your whole paycheck.
Had a chance to go to Sonny's Place this weekend, was a lot of fun. There was plenty to do for little kids. Go cart racing was by far the most fun thing that we did, the carts were quick and the track was exciting. The giant play place was a favorite for my kids who almost never wanted to come out of it.
We had a great time with plenty to to do for our 3 year old and 9 year old. Little to no wait to do any of the entertainment and had a blast
This family attraction has a real diversity of activities, so no child or teenager will ever feel left out. For the briefest intro, you've got a video arcade, batting cages, climbing walls, go karts, a gyroscope, a brand new virtual reality game, laser tag, miniature bowling, miniature golf, a zip-line and an immense multilevel outdoor play area. Deserving special mention is the newly acquired carousel, dating back to 1925 and built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. The ride opened in 2019 after two
I had a lot of fun here! But the best part was when I went to the arcade and met Natalie, the nicest lady I've ever met. My son, who's usually a nightmare in these places, was turned angelic from her explanation of the arcade rewards. God, I don't know how you do it Natalie but you deserve a raise! Will definitely be back. Also enjoyed the zip line.
It's a little bit off the beaten path unless you live in Enfield or Somers, but it's worth the drive. It seems every year this place gets bigger and more enjoyable. Go-karts, video games, virtual reality, mini golf, a very small bowling alley, and some other climbing and anti-gravity type rides are all here. You can also get reasonably priced burgers and hotdogs and sandwiches here. I would rate the food price and quality as average, nothing special but not bad. Everybody in our family including grandparen
Is good place for family to have fun the music the food the bar really nice i go back soon is could be good if the have water park or pool really nice place with that i could be completly Nice place
Went there for the first time two weeks ago. Pleasantly surprised, grand kids had a great time, I had some food and a few delicious Brews and listened to some Live Rock. NICE! Laid back great family environment.
Super fun place for kids in the day and adults at night on the weekends. This place just gets an AAA+ fun rating. It's one of the few places that is not ran by shareholders and that makes it a special gem. My friends love it I love it and Ive spent many of fun nights here. Also superior wings
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
