Customer Reviews

Great place for a drama free, fun night out with friends. The waitstaff was great. The food was decent. We were super happy there was gluten free pizza crust available and a great drink menu. Not open too late though, so if you're hoping for dinner and drinks after the show at the nearby theater, you might need to look elsewhere.

Drinks and food were good. The mozzarella sticks were definitely the best dish we had there! The burgers were good and so were the fries! The grilled chicken on the salad was so incredibly dry. The dressing did not help at all. I would not recommend ordering a salad. The garlic parmesan wings were delicious! The nash chicken sandwich was also very good! The bowling was such a great time!! We had a blast playing the yard games as well! We can't wait to come back!

Great place to enjoying some quality time with your friends and family! Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere that all ages can enjoy together! I specifically recommend to reserve a slot for you all to have a little competition of bowling in here! Latest technology equipment and concept of bowling to participate in and enjoy it ! Highly recommended!

We have friends in town so we took them to Socibowl and they/we all had a good time. Friendly service and very accommodating. Fun atmosphere too. We didn't eat here but in the past the appetizers have been good.

Stopped in on the way out to Milwaukee. Have to say, I never knew Muskegon had such an AWESOME place to go. We have family that lives here now so expect us back at somepoint soon (From Detroit). The Granny's Chicken Sandwich was to die for and the Gutter Balls were AMAZING. The Arcade area was a hit with myself and the whole fam. Next time I want to do an adult tour so we can bowl, throw darts and try some beer. Great establishment!

Fun place! Great Service, great menu selection to choose from, fun games to play besides bowling as well. The Mozzarella sticks were so cheesy and good. The Southerner Burger with steak fries I would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Went for a childs birthday party, they're layout is so welcoming and cute. They offer so much fun for kids! The duckpin bowling was very fun for them and the smaller balls are much easier on them when bowling. They have giant Jenga and a small photo booth to take a photos in. And an arcade!! I myself didn't interact with the staff but they were very attentive to the party as well as maintaining the customers. I tried some of the loaded nachos and they were delicious!

Ordered hot honey pizza which was horrible, the crust was like cardboard must be premaid frozen. I would not recommend ordering any pizza there. Other people in our group ordered wings, bang bang shrimp everyone seemed content with these dishes.

The place is fun. I love the pigeon bowling. The BIG down side for me was the drinks: anything I ordered was in a small glass which was half full. Very disappointed.

Probably the best wings I've ever had. They are huge too. Pretzels were also good. Good place to eat. Try the wings!!

Fun experience for a small group. Each lane is $30 an hour. We had a party of 4. Our waitstaff were efficient, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was wonderful. Socibowl has a decent size menu of typical brewery food mixed with some classic bowling alley food.

So fun! We didn't know we had to make reservations for duck bowling, but we just waited for a lane, and it was no big deal. You can play darts and other fun games while you hang out. Darts, skee-ball, yard yahtzee, giant jenga, tic-tac-toe, and twister are all free (first come, first serve). Plus, huge bonus - the beer is great :) We didn't get food, but from what I saw, it looked good. Also, we moved tables several times to be by other games and the bowling. Our server went with the flow and found us ea

Fun place! Very good food. Also has a full bar. Play duck bowl, darts, video games.

So fun! It was the perfect place to take our teenagers for delicious food, fun games and duck pin bowling. Highly recommended!

This place has a lot of potential to be great, but unfortunately, the waitstaff seems unfamiliar with their own drink offerings. The food is also significantly overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, it was a disappointing experience at a bar that could have been much better.

Went there for a party and had a great time at bowling and corn hole. Great staff and high quality service. Good light hearted fun

Great atmosphere, awesome staff and service. Lots of fun! Amazing food and drinks menu ! Highly recommended the breads n spreads and the Muskegon melt!

Had A amazing time here! Such a fun place great service. Fun games! Keeps the crowd entertained. This place will be an amazing add to downtown Muskegon this coming summer ?? I had a cherry vodka lemonade that's to die for! Come check this place out!

Came here with my sister after a busy Pride Weekend and it was exactly what we needed! The food was amazing and the whole staff was really friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to come back and try out the games!

Super fun! Great beer and great social atmosphere. Staff a bit aloof, could have made more money had they served more drinks. Food is mediocre at best. Over sugared, over fried, over salted. Need to up the food game and this could become a staple joint of downtown Muskegon.

Great duck pic bowling with some appetizers was not nice

Great food, excellent wines. You can relax before or after a meal with various activities. Bowling causes conversation to be done at a high level, but it's continuous and energetic.

I was to late to enjoy the food but the craft beer is fantastic and bartenders vary attentive and informative. The little Lane bowling is lots of fun, with that and the arcade in the back there plenty of stuff to entertain small to medium sized groups

I'd been wanting to check Socibowl out for a long time, but it was always packed. My wife and I finally were able to go last night for a date. We loved it. The food was great, drinks were decent and the bowling was a blast. The service could've been better. We didn't see our waitress that often, but when we did see her, she was nice and served well. We will definitely be back for another date and for hanging out with family and friends.

We had our work Christmas party here and it was a total blast. I also highly recommend the fried pickle chips.

Such a great spot for a team outing( our group was 10) . Something fun and different with a great atmosphere and so many different things to do once you walk around and check it out. Our server David was personable and fun to have engaged with our group. Food was tasty and had us in smiles for a great bar/bowling night. Cocktails were good beer was great. I look forward to when they can have a traditional liquor license. However this isn't a negative in my mind as of yet, things will develop with time I'm s

I got ripped off. We ordered 2 orders of your steak fries and 2 beers.i don't remember what the total was but my total payment should have been 30 even. I just looked at my Amex statement FIFTY DOLLARS!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER BE BACK AND I WILL BE LETTING EVERYONE I KNOW TO BE AWARE OF BEING RIPPED OFF.The thing that really pisses me off is I'm a very generous tipper.

Our server was terrible. I thought multiple times just walking away and leaving the place. People seated behind us got thier good first, I wanted a 2nd drink and the waitress never came to check on us so I didn't. I had to wave someone down to get the bill.. the food was cold by the time we got it too.

Legit 5 stars. Their food was fire. Their "fries" were like waffle fries without holes. ?? SO good. We tried a few apps and were super impressed. Their arcade games all worked and we had the room to ourselves at times. Totally keeping this place in mind for our next outing.

This was our first visit and really didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was and how much fun adults can have here! Yay! Did I mention that the burger was better than 5 guys, for real!

I called to inquire about a second charge on my account. when speaking it over rather then making me feel comfortable about it the bartender who answered the phone argued with me and made my experience absolutely terrible. i love pigeon hill n such and this put an absolute terrible feeling for me and i honestly will not come back to this establishment. i couldn't finish a sentence without her talking over me and she did not make me feel any better about them double charging my card. I understand a system is

Fun time duckpin bowling and food is good too!

Great place, good food, a little pricey tho.

Visited on Friday the 27th at about 7pm. We were seated quickly but it took a bit of time for our waitress to take our order. Food was good and we bowled for 1/2 hour which was alot of fun. While we were standing at the bar that is closest to lane #1 I could see a waitress(through the window into the kitchen) repeatedly dipping her hand into one of the stainless steel food prep containers and and eating whatever she was retrieving. Not sure if this is where they made salads or nachos but it seemed very

The duck bowling is way fun! The staff is super cool! There is beer, which tastes like beer! The food: the group next to us ordered the cheese sticks and didn't eat them, when they left I took one, they were bad.

What a fun place to be! Great atmosphere, great food and the staff is amazing. David was our server and treated us so kindly. Would highly recommend checking this awesome place out!

What a great experience! Hannah, our server, was unbelievable. She was like our travel agent telling us things to do in Muskegon (she went above and beyond). I would highly recommend their fish basket? it was one of the best I've ever tasted. We will be going back and can't wait to play Duck Pin Bowling!

The burgers were great. The atmosphere and staff were pretty good. The rest of the food wasn't. The jalapeno spin dip was not good at all. Too much of an onion flavor and not enough jalapeno to have it in the item name. The tortilla chips were flavorless and stale. The fries were undercooked, no crisp at all, same as the onion rings.

I went there for a work event. It is really cool that you can play so many different types of games on the bowling consoles. They also have other games such as darts and giant jenga. They had a burger bar for the event with some really good sides. I plan to go back soon and try food from the menu. The service was really good.

It's nice place. But I don't recommend it if you want to play really bowling ??

Arrived, was sent to a table, then we sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order, when the food finally arrived it was bland. The beer was good for the most part, I recommend sticking with the higher ibu's, I tried a Claire she's English and it was pretty disgusting. The bowling completely sucked. We had a party of 8 so 2 couples had to share a score and take turns, it kept tangling up and completely broke down twice, they switched us lanes and added 15 minutes to our timer. Staff

Its a fun place but drinks are pricey

Excellent atmosphere, food and beer! Had a great time playing duckpin bowling! Will definitely come back.

Had a great time with friends and family. My 15 yr old son was messing around, putting the ketchup and mustard bottles in his sleeve like he was gonna steal it. They were on it like he was stealing the Mona Lisa. They even accosted him about his Gatorade he had before he entered the establishment, like he was stealing there well being. I was escorted out by the manager because I stood my ground and wasn't some beanie wearing, craft beer drinking douch bag.

Awesome atmosphere. Love hearing the duck pin bowling going on while having a tasty beer. Food was really good as well. Oh, plus they have some arcade games. Great place

Went here for the first time and this place is AWESOME!! Food and service was great even though they were really busy. Mini bowling is so fun and the yard games are a nice addition. Food and drink prices are very reasonable. happy to have a place like this in Muskegon! Highly recommend !!!!

Love the service, food and fun!! Bowling & Arcade room were perfect for my kiddos! We had a fun family night! Highly recommended! Kathryn was that perfect host! ??

Limited menu due to Lakeshore art festival however food was awful. A platter of socio fries came in a cup, mozzarella.sticks and nachos were hard, cold and just overall nasty. $65 later we regret choosing this establishment for dinner.

Super fun place to be! Activities for all and great food!

Drinks were okay, didn't feel like they had a ton of options. Food was awful. We just had apps and they were burnt. We were very disappointed. Our server was sweet.

The way the place is divided is odd. The food was just okay and extremely greasy, definitely bar food you'd like to eat when you're tipsy. I expected more of the bowling, and you have to call ahead pretty much to even bowl. I was let down a bit, just based off of hype.

Ordered turkey bacon avocado sandwich. Asked bacon to be well done. Arrived no avocado and bacon chewy...husband got gyro sandwich...never again ordered iced tea asked for sweetener..nope, mozzarella sticks had wierd taste to them Overall Won't be back

David is the bees knees! Amazing service & amazing drinks!!!

Food is solid. Beer selection is ok. Servers tend to be great. Fun atmosphere. Very very busy on busy nights (Thu, Friday and Saturdays). Darts. Dice. Etc.

Angels work here! My husband fell off his bike in front of Socibowl and 2 kind young women who work there immediately came forth to offer help. They provided first aid and other assistance. We are deeply appreciative and hope to return for a meal.

Great addition to Western Avenue!! So many fun games to play inside (besides the namesake duckpin bowling) and the food is great! I think this is the only place in Muskegon offering pimento cheese, and it is excellent.

Such a fun place to hang out with friends. Even enough space for a stroller!

Great place to eat, bowl with friends and family, it's great for the kids.

Excellent hotel with great staff. Rooms are large, bed is so soft I was asleep within minutes of climbing in. I'm here as an open ended guest due to a house fire, so am a local. It's nice to meet visitors and hail the beauty of the city and their proximity to the new downtown Muskegon. Close to many event locations, bars, restaurants and attached to the new convention center. The Delta is near to Heritage Landing as well as the historic homes like Hume House. Museums and houses of worship are all within wal

Socibowl is a interesting addition to downtown muskegon. Duck pin bowling, yard games, and darts, we saw people of all ages there. You can reserve your duckpin lane in advance (this is recommended) and it's really reasonably priced for an hour. They serve beer, wine and tapped cocktails. We sampled all of them and they were good! We didn't try any of their food, but they do have some. Nice place with communal seating in the beergarden. Only obvious issues is the massive amount of soundbleed between the thre

This place was so fun and the food was great! The manager stopped by several times to check on us and she was very pleasant! We will return!

One of the coolest places downtown! Great for parties and outings. Their menu is inclusive which is awesome. I'd highly recommend!

Delicious food and something different to do. The duck pin bowling is fun and you don't need to put on someone else?s shoes.

Fun spot to visit with family or friends! The duckpin bowling lanes offer a wide variety of different games to play, and it's hard to go wrong with Pigeon Hill beer on tap. We got a variety of appetizers to share (chicken tenders, nachos, fries, mozzarella sticks) and everything was good. The back part of the building has a "beer garden" with casual picnic tables and lots of games to play: giant Jenga, wall-mounted Connect 4, ring toss, pinball and more. Definitely check this place out if you're in downtown

Good atmosphere for adults and kids, I go here regularly with my family and nieces nieces they love it! Fun spin on bowling and more! (Great food! And more games!)

Always a great time, no matter the occasion!

First time at this establishment and it was such a great experience!! Great food!! Great waitress!! Great bowling!! Will definitely be back for skeeball and arcade fun.

A fun little place, something different for Muskegon. Had a great time.

If you're looking for a place to go and have a gathering for parties or for fun. Try Socibowl.

This place was so much fun!! The food and drinks were hreat and the staff was amazing! I felt welcomed. Nice clean friendly environment!

Food is decent. Great service. Family friendly. If your looking for a quite dinner, this isn't the place. Very loud atmosphere.

Always with the yummy! And they remember my favorite drinks Always delightful

Super fun and staff is very friendly! Great for kids and adults. Lots of other activists to do in addition to bowling!

The atmosphere is very friendly. Staff is amazing and a lot of drink choices as well as entertainment options.

It was so much fun, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Great place to get away and play some adult games. Great food, good cocktails. Friendly service.

David was amazing, his knowledge and friendliness really made the whole environment come together!

Very cool place. I feel the prices of the bowling are a little high, but still a very cool place.

Food was Great when I finally got it and ???? And the service Suck couldn't find her no where and when she did it was not delightful

Love this spot, great staff, cool atmosphere, the Chicken Ceasar salad is really good with the cherry lemonade!

Great place to go to hang out and have fun. Good food and plenty to do.

Our Mascot Piggy Pigeon is in the building. Come say Hello!! ???? ???

Such a fun, comfortable atmosphere! Everyone has to try the bowling!

Arcade smaller than anticipated.

David & Leah were amazing when we went as a large group! 10/10

It's a fun place. Too bad they only serve Pigeon Hill drinks.

A lot of fun, good appetizers, and Hannah is the best!

Awesome! Great service from David- so welcoming and great hang spot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
