Skateland Arena

This rink was so much fun! Blast from the past. Glad there's still roller skating rinks around, not too many left anymore. My kiddo had a birthday party to go to, so it was our first time here. We'll definitely go back again and maybe make this a regular thing to do when bored. There's an indoor arcade, laser tag and a little cafe too.

Between the skating, the laser tag, the arcade games, bowling (new!), and concessions, there is something for everyone here. We spend hours skating and playing laser tag. Despite being an older building, it's clean and well maintained. I'm glad we have this rink so close to home!

We celebrated my nephew, turning 11 at Skateland. Everyone had fun. The package was worth it.

First time here . so far it seems like a nice place. the only thing that I did not like is that you cannot even bring in water. The price to get in is already a little high. I guess they want you to buy their refreshments. But at least people should be able to bring in water that's crazy.

My daughter has had multiple birthday parties for my grandkids and they always have a blast!

Awesome place. Some group of boys harass my gf the whole time we were here, but other than that yall have good security and friendly staff.

This was mostly a nostalgia visit for me today but it was great fun to take my daughter to the same place I grew up skating! My sister and I had a great time during the Saturday RnB session.

I remember my memory back in 2021 before 2022, I remember I rollerblade there. I missed being here since 3 years ago, even though I had pizza and it tasted VERY Good. I love it here so much memories.

Had a fabulous time with the beginner skaters for school skate night. Rented skate buddies for $5 each. The skate buddies did sell out though for those that didnt arrive at opening.

Some rude employees but others than that super nice, and cheap drinks and food. My friends from Germany and New York loved it! BUT DONT DRINK FAUCET WATER IT TASTES NASTY

Just got home from hosting my sons third birthday party there. I was extremely impressed with how smooth and organized it was. We let them know what we wanted, and the staff took it from there. We were extremely happy with our decision. So much so we will be hosting our eight year olds birthday here in November. Thank you again to this wonderful business for hosting us. Our Host, Gianni (unsure of spelling) did a great job making us feel welcomed and he was very personable. THANK YOU AGAIN SKATELAND!!!

We have been to the Saturday afternoon skate lessons and open skate, and we always leave smiling. There are a lot of beginner skaters during the afternoon session so we fit right in. The staff is patient and helpful, and the other patrons are nice and friendly. Great atmosphere and wonderful fun way to get moving!

Great place for the kids lots of activities! My daughter has had a birthday party there 2 times and each time has always been excellent customer service!

We used the volleyball part of the facility. It is much cleaner than it used to be when it was mainly roller hockey. The ceilings are a bit low, but not the worst. The lights are not the best type for a sport that you look up a lot. They are a bit blinding, and it can affect play.

We had a birthday party at skateland today (June 23 2024 at 1:00). We absolutely loved it. My son said it was the best birthday party he has had! There was so much to do, all the kids stayed entertained. All the kids wnjoyed the pizza and the adults who ordered other food said it was good. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our host was absolutely the best and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were well taken care of! We will for sure be back and are already planning to have my daughters

This place is fun for the kiddos. The carpets are stained and pretty dirty, to be expected with all the traffic and kids, I guess. The staff are all amazing and helpful, and they go out of their way to assist in any way they can. The food is not worth the money at all. The food tastes like it is boxed frozen foods. Skateland is part of my personal history. I grew up at this amazing little place! I even worked there as a teen. So did 2 of my Daughter's. This is a great family friendly place. ?? Thank You dlfor serving our community for so many years!

My husband has good childhood memories of this place and now so do our children. We moved away from the area about 8 yrs ago but had a chance to come back for a visit.

I hadn't been to this roller skating arena since 7 or 8 years ago. I like what has been done with the place since. I brought my 9 year old daughter with me to a evening skate, 4:30 -7:00, R&B music on a Sunday. She did very well amongst the full range of ages crowd. The whole time, no serious problems with close skaters, rule deviators, or rink bullies. Lots of friendly smiling faces. Great DJ. Great staff. Great security. The lockers are many and plenty. Came here for a volleyball tournament with my daughter. I had asked how long for an order of chicken strips and French fries and the young lady at the counter said about 15 min which was within reason. I ordered the food 10 min before my daughter?s 45 min lunch break and 55 min later we still had no food and my daughter left to go play again. Also their menu says 16oz coffee for $3.00 I got a 12 oz coffee and when I questioned it to the girl behind the counter she just said that's what she was told to give

I got really lucky and found my derby knee pads here! When i brought them home i noticed my adhesive wasn't sticking correctly to my knee pads. When i brought them back in they not only fixed them for me, but also gave me a price adjustment since i didn't realize i grabbed them from the discounted section! I used to come here multiple times a week, every week. I would always have a blast coming to skateland, playing games, hanging out with friends. I used to go every Friday. I recommend to any middle schooler/high schooler that wants something new to do with friends. It's great for families too! Though, if going with a family I would advise against going on a Friday night as that used to be super popular with the kids.

This place is so clean and a place I feel safe to bring my family to . I come here often for a parties but this past Sunday the host we had was amazing she smiled the entire time and was there everytime we needed her she was making pizza , and hosting at the same time . She is such a pretty girl and shine bright . Keep her she's a good worker ( I'm not sure of her name she had braces and she in between light and dark skin ) staff was really friendly as well . Large rink with lots of room to skate. Pizza is good also. Games were fun, staff is professional and easygoing. Pro shop has good choices and prices are fair. Early skate times are good for the kids and later times are more adult music oriented.

Haven't been skating in YEARS! It's been since they use to throw parties all the way in the back. I went today and OMG it was an experience. The DJ was AMAZING! As an African American woman I didn't think he was aware of the type of music I enjoy skating too but every song he played was a song I knew. The DJ was up to date with the old and latest music I was definitely impressed. All the staff from the front to the back was extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely return.

Floor was dirty!! They didn't have much for food ,drinks machines weren't working! They played sorry music the whole session , they have metal detective devices. My mother went to skateland as a kid. I went to skateland as a kid, and now my daughter goes to skateland 20 years later. The owner and his wife are wonderful people. It's an amazing family owned business, and they seem to always be upgrading the facility. You couldn't ask for a safer environment for your kids.

Not a bad place at all. The hockeyrink turned volleyball court was nice but there is no seating and very little room to put up chairs. The arcade and skating rink part were very nice. A good distraction for the other kids.they have a nice concession stand with awesome fresh pretzels. The restrooms were clean and well maintained.

Here for a school fundraiser. There are a bazillion kids in this building and about half that many parents. Is it really necessary for the DJ to tell the kids to "SCREAM" every 15 minutes? Does he not have any other way to engage with them without encouraging them to blow out all of our ear drums? Also, the DJ is hard to hear. But the kids hear the command to "SCREAM" every. single. time. I am cringing, other parents are cringing, it's not great. No thanks.

I have been skating here for almost 35 years, even worked here in my teens. I absolutely love everything that they have added. Can't wait for Roller Derby to start back up. Definitely a great time for the family.

Not a great place for sport events. Seating is limited, and the heat didn't work properly. The bathrooms don't have proper doors and only two stalls for the women. Not enough space for parking either.

I traveled from out of town to a party at this establishment highway robbery the place game room half of the stuff was broke we had no utensils to eat with the person that was the server had service for parties all around was a bad experience in this place I will never tell anyone to plan a party at this place ??????????

Skateland was a chill vibe on a Sunday night. It stated R&B music but it was like old disco music. My friends and I couldn't really vibe to the music half the time. Also keeping the lights low gives it a nice vibe and allow people to skate how they want without the "spotlight". So limit the lights on portion please. If you want to have a chill Sunday its the move to make but be prepared to be disappointed in the music

I almost always have an amazing time here. Sometimes it's overcrowded and some of the guests are rude, but the workers are almost always amazing.

I went for the adult skate, I don't think I'd personally go back for another adult skate. Skate floor could use some love. Snack bar is not open at that time(witch isn't posted on the website) so you are forced to buy from the vending machines. Some of the guest that come are not the most friendly. I'd be interested to see what a normal session is like.

The rink was in great shape. So the skating was good. They have rentals for kids who aren't great skaters. Skate land is a popular place for Birthdays. They served drinks, pizza and cupcakes. No complaints about the food. The only thing that was disappointing was the arcade. Many of the machines didn't work. Even with the machines being in disrepair, the kids seemed to have a great time.

So I am here on a Sunday which opens at 1-3:30 or 4:30-7. I decided to bring my kids in at 4:30. Nobody really is here to help service like they should. There's no Food done as of 5:30. Token machine is out of order in the game sections...so I'm trying to figure out what they close for a hour for I'd nothings still in stock after opening time. I got horrible service pretty much had to service ourselves. Had to use vending machines and the concession stand for change. Got cut in line TWICE by customers befor

Great facility. We went to the roller derby in the back arena and enjoyed the show. Less one star because we couldn't walk through the building and had to walk all the way around the building because we didnt know where we were going.

You've been around for a long time. I went there when I was young. Now I bring my kid there. They do all they can to make sure you have a fun and safe time.

I called this skateland in Grand Blanc, she told me if we dropped the kids off we would have to pay them 25.00 . Don't think so. So I took them to mount Morris for 8.00 and they had their own skars.

This is a great family owned business! They have skating plus many other activities for people of all ages. This rink is the home of the Mid Michigan Derby Girls and they have roller hockey leagues here as well. Even if you don't like skating there are plenty of things to do at this entertainment venue like video games and laser tag. People also hold birthday parties and even graduation celebrations at this venue.

We love Skateland, been going since I was a kid and my son loves it. Great staff and music, food and so many things to do while you are there. They have laser tag and a arcade room.

Wednesday crowd has extremely changed. The DJ is horrible. It used to be grown,r&b,the owner was the DJ and he was fire.

Took my grands to a skate class offered as part of a home school co-op. The front wheel on my grandson's inline skates came off and the instructor called her husband to come and fix it. No charge either! So kind!

It was so much fun. The owners really did a nice job in how the skating arena is layed out and the selection of activities. Ownwrs and staff were so pleasant and accomadating. I highly recommend this location.

Skateland is still a awesome place to go to have fantastic fun! They have a children's playland area, a great arcade room and a good snack bar. Skateland has Birthday Party packages. They have various skaters races. They offer a skate trainer for those who dont know yet how to skate. This is a diverse atmosphere.

Best rink around! Everyone is friendly, helpful and prices are great! We don't own our own skate so we rent. And the speed skates worked really well!

It was very sketchy and not a good place for a volleyball tournament. I would not recommend going here for a volleyball. Part of the building is a roller blading rink and the other part is an old hockey rink turned into volleyball courts. There is really no where to sit, and if you stay there for the whole day, there's barely anywhere to put food. The outlets are on the other side of the arena and you probably can't drink the water because it's almost in Flint.

Great place for the littles to hang out. We go early before the big kids show up. There is a young man working in the rink that is AMAZING with the kids!
