The overall experience was good. We had three adults and two kids. For some reason, they make people that aren't skating pay as well. They call it a chaperone fee, but we had one adult skating so I don't understand why they would charge the other two adults as well. So the pricing was not great, the atmosphere was nice.It was clean, the food was good. Also a little pricey. Bathrooms were spotless.

We've had a great time at 209 Skate Time in the past?it's a fun place we've enjoyed a few times with family and friends. My son really wanted to go skating this weekend, so we came by on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it was adults-only skate time, which means they don't put out the skate assist bars for kids. That wasn't mentioned when we entered, and I didn't see any signs noting this policy. We purchased admission and rentals, and only after putting on our skates did we learn from th

This is a beautiful facility with an amazing staff! The prices are extremely reasonable and they have a delicious snack bar menu. I hosted a fundraising event there and will absolutely do it again!

Went on Sunday. The skate rink was a lot of fun. The "skate buddy" was the best! My 5yr old granddaughter would give up on skating after 2min in the past, but with the "skate buddy", she enjoyed a full 2 hours of skating and would have stayed longer! If you need to get the kids to do something fun, this is a place to check out!

There were alot of cars so i was a little worried but they had DJ Lemonade on deck and keeping everything smooth and flowing. Great night. Good mix of experts, plus myself, and 2 other beginners had a blast. Cant wait to go again. Lots of parking. Staff was great and super helpful friendly. Easy check in, easy skate check.

Reasonable Prices, Great Food Specials. The Caprese Sliders were Restaurant Quality and the Yolo Fries were a Pleasant Surprise (Recommended). Staff are Professional and Very Friendly. Atmosphere is also Welcoming. First time here and drove almost an hour thru dense Fog and it was worth it. And The DJ Rocked!!!

We went last Saturday night. Family of 6. Really enjoyed the time spent there. Woman who handled the rentals was extremely helpful and kind. The place was very clean and food reasonable. We are going again tonight

Literally the best rink I've ever been to! The staff is so friendly and they do a great job at keeping the rink floor smooth/clean. It doesn't matter if you are a skater or not, you'll have a great time vibing here with the staff/clientele

I absolutely love Skate Time, best rink in the area. All of the employees are also so friendly and wonderful. Jaxon and Sam are especially awesome so shout outs to you cool people. Jaxon is always amazing supporting the youth and such a talented skater. I always have the time of my life skating here. I love y'all forever.

Millennial and genX heaven. They play classic skating rink music - from 70s/80s/90s. Classic menu and arcade. Plenty of options for long time skaters and little kids. Not too crowded- I don't love the skates (not totally classic) but really a great time and they play classic skate games like four corners. Despite other comments, I think the pricing is fair considering the space and amenities. Check the website for skate nights where it's adults only.

Great Roller Skating Rink with super friendly staff and management . Music is good, food is great (especially the empanadas ??) , the only thing I wish was that they were open more often!!! ??

Love this place. Staff is nice, place is clean and they're making upgrades. Food is tasty. Home to roller derby.

Friendly and attentive staff. We hosted our company party with them and had the best time. If you're looking for a unique and affordable spot to have an event, look no further. The food and fun were top notch.

The nice people charged us a little less because we were not skating just playin dance dance and that means a lot because times are hard and exercise is important! And it's okay because we bought a lot of bottled water so owner can't be mad. And the nice people will turn the music up so you don't miss steps if you ask them. There is a claw machine, stuffed animals inside... So many turtles ??

Nice rink. Pleasant people. Was not impressed with the chaperone charge for adults not skating or the rental charge for kid gates. Also, they don't update their recording so I came for kids time only to find out they don't do that until the winter. But...the kids had a blast. It is serving a purpose for the community and everyone was having a great time. So, I still give it 5 stars but you should be aware of what I wrote.

Have been here several times now and it's such a great place to hang out, skate, have a bit, and chat with the really nice people that work there. People of all ages having a great time. Very warm, friendly, community vibes. I also just took my first lesson (and I'm an adult) and it was a great experience at a great price. Don't wait, just go!

Place was really awesome! Open rink made it good for all levels. Room to practice tricks, room to practice skating itself, no worries about falling with the space there was. Beyond that the DJ has really good technique with her skating. She was also willing to teach me some techniques to elevate my skills. Awesome place!

Very nice place and friendly staff/owner. The owner put on skates and gave my daughter and her cousin a skating lesson after seeing her struggling. He helped her build her confidence and was skating better within minutes. So thankful to him! Such a nice guy as well as everyone else working there.

So as a new and enthusiastic skater, Skate Time has been a haven. I'm going to be honest about a few things! It is totally nostalgic as a millennial and for my Gen X friends to come here. Prices are high everywhere, so I'm not sweating the price ESPECIALLY because it is clean! Most places we go now are ghost towns and are so dingy. I had no idea there were not going to be blades upon my first arrival. Be ready to get on quads (and love it!) I always bladed but I gained confidence and it is a unique quirk

great place for having fun. The place has a good keep up. There is an arcade for the little ones. we enjoyed our time there.

Nice place to take the kids on Saturday afternoon (11am-3pm)?..everything is retro?d out(decor, food, rentals) and so are the prices in the arcade area? You can grab a beer or a wine as well :)

Skate Time is such a great place to skate and to hang out!! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and you can see right away that a lot of thought and care has gone into creating that vibe. For skaters, the rink is fabulous and so well kept, it's a joy to skate on, and there are lots of skaters who are happy to help you out if you're new or have questions. For non-skaters, there's plenty of space to hang out & enjoy snacks & drinks, plus the arcade is old-school and super fun. There are also plenty be

Really love this place with all my heart. The Thursday ?lights on? nights are great - I've learned so much about skating from the regulars there! The staff is always super sweet and helpful as well. I would have never made the progress I have without their support. My week just ain?t the same without having a skate session here!

Always fun on a Thursday night (aka Keep The Lights On) - very chill, smaller, cool group of people. They do have popcorn if you're peckish on Thursday night cruising the floor. That's usually when I go. Bigger events are more packed and fun too, and they have a bar with wine & beer. Floor is in great shape & music is good! Check it out some time!

This rink is probably not only one of the best floors to skate on. The staff is amazing and very friendly and supportive of all skill levels. They are more than just staff they have a very family friendly and try their best to accommodate to all people and their style of skating. If I could give this rink a 10/10 I would.

Great place. Affordable fun with good food my kids love the Yolo fries and empanadas

I love this rink! The floor is super nice and smooth and the staff is super friendly.

Awesome skate rink for all ages and all levels. Great staff, fun arcade, addictive Bjorn Qorn popcorn and a rotating crew of DJ's keeps the music fresh. Adult nights, teen nights and tot times zero in on the different dynamics of these age groups, but my family loves the all ages sessions. The skate floor is really well maintained and the whole space is clean and inviting.

I feel this place could do a lot better. The food is expensive when it isn't even good on top of that the soda is flat. The DJ also doesnt play good songs and should at least take some request from people.

Great place for a Birthday party or just to roller skate! looking forward to new things to come under new ownership.

I absolutely adore Skate Time! I've been skating there regularly for the last few years since they reopened under new management, and every detail is considered. From the scallions and radishes on the deluxe nachos and the sparkly epoxy floors in the bathroom to the retro neon signs and mouth-watering popcorn (I'm partial to the flavor Earth -- that truffle taste is sublime!), they've taken care to make sure your experience is one you won't forget. And for those serious skaters out there, they take excellen

What a great escape! Best rink around! Great people at concession (good food), and skate rental. Always helpful and service with a smile. Skating is amazing way to get exercise and meet new people. Skate Time facilitates people with a place to go to just have a good time!

I love this rink, the staff, the management, the music, and the popcorn ?? such kind amazing folks! Worth the 2 he drive from NYC ??

I absolutely loved this place. I went for the first time last night with a friend and there are people of all ages and abilities. The arcade could use an update, but the DJ was great and the vibes couldn't have been better. I'll definitely be back! It's very reasonably priced too. The person that was complaining about the pricing I think is out of touch with how much it costs to live in this area. it's only $12 to get in and seven dollars to rent skates. Under $20 for an entire evening of entertainment and

I broke my ankle while roller skating here in April. The staff was shockingly unprepared for this situation, which was surprising considering that injuries must happen frequently. There was no wheelchair available, and my friends were told by the staff that they "didn't know where the local emergency room was." As my friends were carrying me to the car, the staff casually asked, "Oh, would you like to fill out an incident report?" Overall, this facility poorly handled a medical emergency. I strongly advise

Staff goes out of their way to show everyone kindness and warmth. The adult nights are LIT. Rotating DJ's on other nights. The food is bussin. They are really serving the community in a meaningful way.

Really liked it. The crowd was fun. The staff was fun. That Said, always room for improvement, Complaints: The place is not equipped serve food for our size crowd. A couple times after I waited in a 30 minute line, I was told they are "not taking food orders right now". About 200 people on early new years eve party. I realize this is a larger than normal sized crowd. More tables for us to sit at. Also longer tables. They should have Rollerblade rental. Charge more if necessary. They need to play more

Love this place! The rink is well maintained, the more experienced skaters are respectful, the DJ always has good music going, there's an arcade w Air hockey, ski ball, and pool table - just an overall good time. Pretzel bites & a Time Lager, that's my go-to!

Iv been back to this place twice sence it sold. New owners need to fire the DJ. listed no requests and the music is terrible if I could i would give it a no star i would, food is also terrible and service it very slow

I give it a 3 and 1/2 Stars. It's a nice place to have a party if your kid wants to have a skating party. The pizza is okay it's a bit salty but it's your typical skating and bowling alley Pizza

We went here on Passover with a group of 40 kids. The staff was very communicative through email. They provided a room to keep our bags & food. The staff was very helpful with the kids too. We had a great experience. Thank You!

Scar Face refuses to rent a skate buddy.on a Saturday night to a 6 year old child they rather you fall and hurt your self than allow children to use a skate buddy they have horrible attitudes and poor customer service avoid this place. The music on a Saturday night is for people in there 60s they are very expensive as well.

Really nice place, the family had fun. We really enjoyed the music and will return.

Under new ownership as of recently, so this review is going to be about my first impression on opening weekend, as an experienced skater. The music is MUCH better than most places in the area, as is the food. I will say it's a little more expensive than most of the local rinks ($12 for admission, $7 rental as of the first weekend), but it seemed to me that due to them taking care of the facility and providing a good experience. The rentals all just got new wheels and toe stops and I could definitely notice

I had high hopes when they reopened, but after attending a birthday party there I definitely won't be going back unless it's for a party. Not only do they charge more then Wood and Wheels but they actually charge parents to bring their kids! I should not be charged to bring my kids skating. In addition to the insane price to simply bring my kids but the food is also way too expensive, $5 for a hot dog, $6 for a half of bowl of chips you call nachos. I don't think you realize the demographic of your location

Atmosphere was great. Reasonably priced with or without your own skates. Music selection could of have been a little better. Overall we had a lot of fun.

I absolutely love this roller rink I have been going here for years awesome friendly staff great food good prices we always have a great time when we go to skate time love the atmosphere neon signs bathroom floor remind me of going here when I was a kid A+ as long there open I will be I'll be showing up weekly to support them and have fun

It's a great Rink, and decent skateboard park. The skating rink is well kept. It's one of the few rinks around with a well maintained floor. I have never used the rentals so I can't speak on the quality of them. The food is very general, but no one goes skating to eat food. But with that being said. People who bring their kids and people who don't skate, the menu needs to be better. The music is tailored for kids. It's today?s pop hits. This place can use a good DJ, who understands genres or differen

I love the energy and welcoming staff! Great food and drinks! My 2nd visit and I will be returning!

Always fun to skate in a party-like place. The music was nice with a lot of oldies but goodies, especially disco. The rental skates are a bit stiff and not easy to maneuver so bring your own if you can. The staff is kind and helpful. I went on a Friday afternoon during the Holidays and the place was far from full. It's great for kids. They also have a few arcade games if you are tired of skating. Overall, we had a good time.

Had such an AMAZING time that we went back the next night! We were visiting and was looking for something to do. So why not roller skating!?! So glad we came. The staff was great! Super nice! The music and atmosphere was perfect. Wish we lived in the area! I would go everyday!

Very expensive adults pay even if they are unable to skate. 3 dollars for water is outrageous guess they forgot where they are doing business this isn't west Chester or the city. Place looks the same from previous owner no visible upgrades. Arcade has very old games not worth the money. Don't see my self coming back with the family just to much for what they offer.

It's a little expensive Especially when an Adult HAS to accompany anyone under 15 and you get charged for it. Even if you're not skating. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks, But full price is crazy to watch. Food was also expensive and didn't taste good. Soda tasted like seltzer.

So glad to have this fun, retro roller skating rink open again! Food was great, everyone was friendly. Family had an awesome time and we'll be back soon!

This is the highest quality rink I've been to by a large margin. The rentals are great, the floor is perfectly maintained. I had a blast learning to skate backwards with my friends. Plenty of people were happy to help out. I wish I lived closer!

I believe the mouse should?ve been left alone to spectate us while we skate. Cool place though, the skates were comfy.

I am absolutely thrilled that they opened up again! This is the best place for skating in the area! They have a lot of fun parties an adult nights! Thank you for saving this beautiful rink!

This is more fun than we should be allowed to have. Bjorn and Tara keep the excitement level very high. Great food, fun arcade, and lots of skating!! Go!

This is a beautiful rink. The floor is smooth. The snack bar has a wide variety of foods and drinks. The staff is friendly.

Kids had a blast both days of opening weekend! So glad to have this local attraction back. Can't wait for the beer garden to open!

The owner is a nice guy. The floor is real wood and in good shape. They need a real DJ that plays actual skate music. Overall a good activity for kids and parents to do together.

Excellent place! I always enjoy the drive from Syracuse, NY to help officiate the Misfits Derby bouts! Only thing I would recommend is: filling in the huge potholes on the Mettachonts road entrance. They are huge, and someone could hit them, and ruin their whole suspension. Other than that, nothing bad to say about it!

Love this place. Nice vibe and music. Great family skate time!

Had a wonderful time here ??

Great fun place. Small arcade filled with classic games like DDR, air hocky, ski ball, driving, a shooter game and claw machines. The rink was big and it was fun to visit here on my senior trip.

Great spot! Staff is friendly, crowd is great, area is clean. Family had a ton of fun here.

Tarry and Len are very nice people. There employees are really friendly, witch is a good thing. I would recommend them to any family that is looking for a family friendly place.

The new owners shut down the skatepark. They say they're about the community and then shut down half of the business. Shame EDIT: Well try harder to keep it open! It can't be that expensive.. the previous owners kept it open for a long time. I feel like you guys just don't appreciate skateboarding.

The best. Great for families and skaters alike. Good music and friendly staff.

It's been a blast from the past I'm glad to see everyone out there enjoying themselves brings back memories and it's great exercise let the music flow

There's a family feel to this business. Which is nice, sometimes the floor has paper and trash on it which makes it difficult/dangerous to skate because of the kids throwing things on the ground. But management is willing to sweep when asked

it was good over all -food tasty -music fun -games were a little old - roller skates were old and need some repairs -skate park was fun and big recommendations -get newer games -fix some of the vending machines - allow bmx in to the skate park -add some new things to your food menu

Great customer service and place to skate Recommend for camps & family-friendly !

Great vibes and music. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.

How nice it is to go back to where I was happy to your favorite sport as I missed being standing on four wheels. Thanks to skate time !!

It's expensive for a Roller Skating Rink, but they offer group discounts and they're pretty free with music requests. It also has a skateboard park and small arcade within it. No Rollerblade rental, but they do offer roller skate rental.

It's a Skate Rink! It's a good one! It still exists! That is so wonderful. Keep this one going. Visit often.

Lots of fun. We went during 90s and 20s night. It felt like a time warp.

Not too many people. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Great place to bring the kids. Roller skating and skate boarding.

Wood floors for skaters and has an indoor skate board park too! Reasonable pricing. Skate rental is cheap too. Arcade and food. Workers are nice.

I love skate time! Huge rink, really good music, and good snacks.

Clean, good music volume, good service. Would preferably have inline skate rental, but standard 4 wheel roller skates in good condition are available.

A sweet old-fashioned, neon-filled skate rink. There's a skate park, small arcade and some classic barfood. Go for the events, they are the best part of this rink.

New owners. New old skool vibe. Bringing the best DJs up from the city. A place where there is no hate.. just skate!

Nice idea to have a skate park and rolling rink the music was nice and loud the kids enjoyed it the staff seemed pretty nice good rainy day activity

Skatepark closed permanently - No im not going to use your roller rink. you bought the place and didn't even give the skatepark a chance. I hope the roller rink has the same fate as the skatepark.

I had the best time in a long time friendly people very clean food of the hook will the experience was enjoyable.

A great place for the whole family, we had a great time. Very nice people and very accommodating

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
