I know better than to bring a purse to be checked. But my low score is because if a filthy facility!! Me seat had wet poured all over arm rest and down seat. I cleaned it myself, then went to bathroom. Bathroom was filthy as well. We spend too much already for a good movie experience. They make a killing on drinks and popcorn alone. The least they can do is clean the place up!!!

We drive nearly an hour to go to this cinema. We love the setting, the seats are recliners, plenty of elbow room. They have movies on Tuesdays for 5.00. Love the popcorn too.

We have been loyal customers for going on eight years now. We always bought snacks and we supported the theater every chance we got. However, I accidentally bought tickets for Saturday instead of Sunday. We had no idea my mistake. Very clean and comfortable seats, floors aren't sticky, but the food is really high, even for a movie theater! Also, the bags instead of buckets are a bad idea, they make too much noise during the movie.

The best things I can say is that the theater is clean, seats are comfortable. Sound is good. The Theater is too cold! If they are a cashless venue, they need to let people know before they attend. The recliners are very uncomfortable in any position! There is not enough padding in the seat or back, and way too much in the headrest. The popcorn sucks ever since Showplace took it over. The kernels are smaller and do not pop to the fullest, so you are always biting down on kernels.

For a smaller theater in a smaller town this one is a hidden gem with great seats, great staff and awesome environment!

Seats are great. Ive been a few times. 1st time with me hubby and our 2 boys and they didnt ask to search my fanny pack. The next time i go to movies myself and the dude asks me to show him whats in my fanny pack.... i showed him and hung up my jacket in the air and said u wanna search the pockets... he just walked away. Aside from the 15 minutes of ads you're forced to watch at the beginning of the movie. If you get there when the show is supposed to start. Pricing for drinks and snacks are ridiculous too. The movie theater is always clean and the seating is very comfortable. Overall I'd recommend this theatre if you're not afraid of everything being over priced.

Seat are trash poor sound quality and burnt popcorn 50% of the time

Some of the seats are uncomfortable (cushion already broken in despite being replaced just a few years ago) and some of the audio for the bigger screens, particular screen 1, is atrocious (dialog center speaker sounds muffled). If you watch a movie on their smaller screens, 4-7, those are fine (chairs, video and audio). The bigger screens need attention.

Love this place. Very clean, has a nice selection of snacks, and the reclining seats are the most comfortable I've ever been in to watch a movie. It's my first time here, but it will definitely not be ny last. I gotta come back for their $5.00 all-day deal!

Movie never started on time. We went and asked was told it would be on soon. Never happened a hour later it started for 10 minutes and turned back off. Was told they turned it off because it would cause problems for the next showing. And no one that worked there could let anyone know. And acted like they didn't want to give us back our money.

Very comfortable, reclining seating. Sometimes the audio is too loud, once I saw a streak of black in the screen and it was distracting. Other than that it was a great place to enjoy snacks & drinks, play arcade games, and watch a movie.

Popcorn isn't the best I've had great seats affordable movie venue. Staff are great polite and professional for mostly teenagers working.

What a disappointment! I paid $12.50 for a movie ticket on what was supposed to be "$5.00 Tuesday". I was told thst the theatre does not set the price for this particular movie. I need headphones in order to hear & understand the movie. The headphones did not work (2 different pairs), so I asked for a refund. The manager ( ??) on duty insisted on putting the refund back on my debit card. Their card machine didn't work... not my fault!! I was given a movie pass (value of $8.50 since I am a senior).

Plan was to take our 15 year old daughter and her 15 year old friend and let them watch a movie. When arriving we find out that anyone under 15 is not allowed to watch a movie without someone over 18 after 6 o'clock. I got our tickets online for the 6:40 show and was pleasantly surprised to find a still got the matinee price.. there were 6 of us so that made quite the difference. The kid boxes were the way to go as the price included popcorn, a candy and a drink. Take the box back to the counter for free refills. The seats are super comfy. We will be going back soon!

We were very pleased with our visit to see Top Gun Maverick. Picture quality and sound were great, and it's tough to beat the comfortable seating! Popcorn was tasty and the didn't feel crowded in the seating. Only downfall was we had to get tickets individually online in order to use separate gift cards.

They used to have a Senior discount every day for$6 but Tuesday, when all tickets are $5. I went last week and they charged $7.25, saying no more Senior discount. $5 for a small self serve soft drink? 24 ounces for $5? I could get a 12 pack of 12 ounce cans for $3-5. The movies are great!! I especially love $5 movie Tuesdays, those are the best!! Especially nice reclining seats , clean environment. You have to choose your seat at time you purchase your ticket. The size and cost of snack food and drinks are too expensive is the only bad thing I can say. Share food or just do not buy anything is what I recommend.

First time back in years. Loved the seating. Loved the fountain drinks. Would like to see popcorn in tubs instead of bags, as well as maybe a table in the hallway to set your refills down if you need to use the restroom too.

Watched the new Ant-Man and the Wasp : Quantumania. Wasn't many people in the place at all, or that we seen. Maybe 15 people in our theater room. They were showing 9 movies at the time of us going. Huge snack selection, clean bathrooms, and a bunch of arcade games for the kids to play while waiting. Highly recommend this theater.

It was clean and nice but the service wasn't that great. The cashier actually greeted us with "What do you want?" instead of something more friendly or professional. The concessions closed down before our movie even started so we had no drinks or popcorn during the movie. Significantly improved over the old one, with reclining chairs, 2 cup holders so you shouldn't have drink trouble, wheel chair accessable, excess parking, and all of the newest movies on the market.

Our go to movie theater. I like being able to reserve our seats online and I can just scan my phone once we get to the theater. There's no need to get to the movie super early anymore to get good seats. Seats recline and are pretty comfortable, popcorn is good, ticket prices are reasonable, and the theaters are clean. My only complaint is that the sound is usually so loud it hurts my ears.

The seating is great!!!! Leather and they recline so deep you can lie down and watch. I come here on Tuesdays when movies are $5 but before that I go to Los Bravos next door and they have frozen margiratas for $1 on Tuesdays! Best deal for miles around! You can't touch their movie or popcorn prices in any city. A great value for a family outing. LOVE seeing my movies here...no reclining seats, hot dogs or pizza but who cares? I'd rather it be affordable for my family than have lavish perks that jack up the prices.

We were told by management that there would be a chair without arms for my friend to sit in because he's an extra large guy. Brought it out for him and he tried it out. Perfect. Then we went to see a movie and was told the owners made them throw both armless chairs out. So he had to sit in a reclining chair with a booster seat under him. Went through my purse after we arrived and told me I couldn't bring in my diet special/gluten free item, but then didn't have anything at the concessions for me to purchase. So no snacks. Drove 45 minutes to this Jasper location and will never come back. Wouldn't allow me to put zero stars.

Nice place to take your kids, but seats are small. I'm medium size, and its also not so good for my niece to sit in the booster, she doesn't weigh enough to keep the seat from Folding up on her. She is 4 now, has been many times, this last time was the first time she's actually been able to use booster, but with some trouble.

The staff have never been friendly to us and yesterday we purchased candy for the kids and I asked for 2 large waters I received them with an eyeroll and was charged $7 when I questioned why water was so much I was quite rudely informed that I had to be charged for the cup. I totally understand that but seems excessive. This place is always dirty in the theater as well.

The movie was good... the theater is filthy, and it stinks. When you walk through the hallway to get to your movie, and you pass the restrooms, you can smell them... Yuck! Not to mention the stink of soured soda smell in the theater itself, and the entire floor was sticky! Showed up before shoe time. Theatre closed. No one there. Maid several phone calls to other showplace theatres. One if them got a hold of the GM of Jasper. Someone showed up 15 minutes later. They are priced reasonable but the seats in the theatre are positioned in rows that are not offset, which is troublesome for shorter guest. But if it isn't busy this isn't an issue. They have arcade games and reasonable priced snacks.

Was a little tricky to find for someone not familiar with it. Prices were decent especially compared to others I've been to recently. Movie I saw was in one of the smaller sized rooms but seats were fine and I enjoyed it just fine.

Good snacks, comfy recliner chairs, and good movies. Only negatives?bathrooms need to be refitted with new locks or doors, people who pre-purchase tickets should be able to skip the lines, & the food is waaay too expensive.

Movie was great, the music was WAY to loud though. My kids wanted to play games afterwards which turned into a mess because the machines kept taking their tokens. The staff took care of it immediately. Overall a good experience

Checking pursues under the pretext of "looking for liquor, food, and firearms is ridiculous," and no other movie theater I've been to has ever done this. Me and my family will not be returning due to this invasion of privacy. Women carry specific items in their purse, and it can be extremely embarrassing to have to show those items. The theater is not an airport that needs a "bag check," in place.

The prices were outstanding, but $2 more than my old towns local cinemas matinees. While the seats aren't reclining in all screens as I'm writing this review, the seats they're adding will be amazing, and WAYYYY better than the Reclining seats at Malco Cinema in Owensboro, Kentucky. The seats were still comfortable, and leather. Showplace Jasper 8 (formerly Jasper 8 Theatres) will be way better when the upgrades are complete! An already outstanding theatre becoming even better!

The movie started out blurry, even though people had complained to the staff during the trailers. After they focused the movie, it was zoomed in way too much. Eventually, they restarted the movie. Also, there is very little slope to the floor, so if a tall person is seated in front of you, you get a good view of the back of their head.

I went to see jumaji and it was awesome. The popcorn was tasty and they always have your favorite type of candy. It was very fast service and very polite workers. It was crowded but I guess that means that it's a good place to go to.

So I know this theatre is in a transition right now, but if the new owners have taken over, and this is the experience we can expect, its worse! On Friday I took my 6 year old and 4 year old to see Frozen 2. We arrived about 5 minutes before the show started and I thought it was strange that there weren't any 'commercials' running...usually those are going ahead of time. But, new owners, maybe they did away with them. NOPE! Instead they wait until the listed MOVIE time, and start them. You read that right

Great movie ticket price day and night. If you want to see a new release movie, pay less and have pretty much the same experience as any other movie theater around here then this is the place to go! You can't beat the Five dollar new release movies before 6 p.m. :) Friendly staff every time i go there.

Upgrade sound equipment to modern technology Upgrade projectors to modern technology too. When I visit other theaters not only are the seating arrangements far superior but also the audio/visual aspects as well. Not saying completely mimic your competition but compete with them for heavens sake!

Rarely watch movies, but when I do it's usually here and I can't say I've ever had a complaint. Stuff myself with Chinese food then watch a movie. Tends to be cleaner than most theaters, and they have all the usual fare at the concession stand. Highly recommend.

I got in line to get popcorn, and the 2 workers didnt even acknowledge my presence and offered to help the lady next to me when I was clearly there first. Tonight my daughters ages 19 & 16 were taking my youngest daughter age 10 to see an R rated movie. They were told my ten year old needed an adult. My 19 year old said she was the adult & a lady rather rudely said no you can't go in & walked away. They are on their way to French Lick theater right now. I called to make sure it was okay with the manager and she said yes. I tried to speak to the manager at Jasper and could not.

Good screen & sound, & my companions were really fun & great, but the cramped narrow seats were torture for someone already in pain. It smelled like vomit too

The movie was a Quiet Place. It is a low volume movie. You could hear sounds from the theater on the other side of the wall very easily. There was a couple on the other side of the corridor that talked continually. All very distracting.
