Shore Lanes Bowling Center

Shore Lanes Bowling Center

Reviews Summary

Shore Lanes receives mixed reviews, with many praising its affordable deals ($5 unlimited bowling M-F 3-5pm), clean facilities, and friendly staff. However, several complaints highlight poor customer service, rude front desk employees, inconsistent lane conditions, and strict policies (e.g., no outside drinks, bumpers only for under 8). The attached Mexican restaurant and arcade are appreciated, but food service is often criticized for slow orders and high prices. While some visitors love the atmosphere and return frequently, others vow never to return due to negative experiences with management and pricing disputes.

Customer Reviews

Watch for happy hour Monday thru Friday. Sunday is a great time to bring out the family.

Way cheaper than Bowlerama. Had an amazing time. Adult beverages were reasonably priced. Is free to play a game of pool, darts add ping pong. Well worth the money and time spent

This was a really nice bowling alley, with plenty of seating. It has multiple lockers to safely store your personal items, a nice size arcade for those young ones who may want to take a break from bowling, an array of bowling balls, and a small, cute apparel store. The bathrooms have been recently re-done and are the cleanest, brightest bowling alley bathrooms I've ever been in! Although this bowling ally doesn't have a food bar/concession stand, it does have a nice size Mexican restaurant and bar inside th

Horrible front desk young lady, on her phone the whole time and annoyed with every request. Bar staff very polite, fun and out going. Requested to play another game and offered to leave the game at closing time and she was extremely unpleasant when we could get her attention away from her phone. Was our favorite bowling alley. Won't go back!

My mom and I love going here. Oh, the open bowling prices make it so you can come daily for fun or improvement. We enjoy the young lady's vibe for bowling. She answers all our questions about her bowling style. She was also fine spending extra time with my visa gift cards, which were all curved in my wallet too long. The lady from the bar area was friendly too. The bathrooms were clean ??.

Really good spot and reasonably priced. We couldn't book an hour as it was closing at 10pm so booked 30 mins instead. Kind guy behind desk gave us an extra few mins to finish a game that was nearing its end. Nowhere's ever done that before. Thank you!

Look, this is not a bad place to hang out and bowl for a few hours. There is a Mexican restaurant tied into the bowling alley. The food is ok-like bar food. This place is a little tired but still not a bad place to visit. Not too busy on a weekend mid-day.

Horrible front desk. They are all extremely unprofessional over the phone. When asking for a manager they laugh because apparently management is never there. Makes me question if they even know how their staff acts

Been there a few times now and here is what I think. 1. The specials can be great. I mean 2 hours of bowling for 5 bucks! cant beat it 2. There is a guy at the front desk that has zero people skills and comes off as pretty rude. Just always seems like he is in a bad mood and that you are a burden for even coming in but then again its a bowling ally so whatever. 3. The lanes seem really dry. I don't know everything but other local alleys may be newer or just oil their lanes more. Maybe it was the time of day

The crazy burrito ?? was enough for two! Ice ?? cold ?? beer ?? Good enough to make me want to come back for it again. Queso cheese fries we're delicious.

If you're idea of fun on a Saturday night is overpriced bowling and incredibly depressing Christian country music, THIS is the place for you!

It's a lot of fun make sure when you can get the best price . There are specials and deals that make it affordable to everyone. They also customize the ball to let you be your best . A younger gentleman told me if you want to get some good advice go to YouTube and there are so many helpful ideas to be your best . But in the end it's a place you can bring the whole family and have fun .

I came here on Friday around 1:00 with my friends. The atmosphere was okay, it was not as nice as I was expecting. My main complaint is the lack of clarity regarding their pricing. When we paid, we requested to each buy a game and a pair of shoes. There were three of us total, and we each paid a little over $11. We finish our first game, and find out that only one game was paid for. When we asked for clarity from the staff they were not friendly, and seemed to have an attitude towards our inquiries. The lac

Been bowling in the friend?s league for almost a year. Was very new to everything, and Kevin is really helpful when I have questions. Very friendly staff in general. The facilities are clean and well kept. I drive an hour to get here and it is worth it.

Honestly worst experience EVER! we went on a Friday at 1. The employees were soooo rude to us. We paid $33 FOR ONE GAME. Which whatever. That's expensive but fine. However, the attitude of those girls helped us was DISGUSTING. I went up to the desk and waited 15 minutes before someone came out and helped me. When she finally came out she was not happy or nice to us and the line. After that I went up to ask a question and the girl was ignoring us doing a crystal painting and when she saw me she rolled her ey

This place has really gone down hill. I would not recommend shore lanes in merrit island to anyone, especially with children. We brought our 6 year old, our just turned 10 year old and her friend who is 9. The 3 of them bearly able to lift the lightest bowling ball, the manager lacy refused to allow our girls to use the bumpers because they are not under 8 years old. Neither girl was able to bowl because of this ridiculous rule. When we asked for a refund being our children were not able to play and we'

Couldn't even have enough sympathy for someone with a shattered collar bone when asking for bumpers. Easily would have paid no issue but its a problem apparently?. crazy

New owners have renewal plans. Some of the equipment is malfunctioning due to age. That is an expensive fix. The poor desk folks are stressed out due to complaints.

My oldest daughter had her birthday on Sunday July 9th! It was a great time! The 2 girls working ( both named Emily) who were our hosts were super kind and attentive! The price for the party included pizza, drinks, 90 mins of bowling, a card with tokens to use at the arcade and they had everything set up nicely when we arrived! She had a great time with her friends!

Affordable on Sundays and fun. Food is adequate. Some of the older "pro bowlewr" patrons are kind of arrogant and throwing unsolicited advice when asked to

Great fun. Good food. Reasonable prices and nice people who work there

We had an incredible day celebrating our son's birthday! He had so much fun bowling and playing in the arcade ?? The weekend started out stressful when we learned our original birthday venue's AC was broken, ?? and decided it was for the best to cancel. Not wanting to cancel the entire party we asked the shore lanes bowling alley if there was anyway we could have the party there. They were so amazing and allowed us to transform the space and worked with us on only a days notice!! Shore Lanes is amazing the

Wonderful place for family fun. The bathrooms are clean except who in their right mind would have a blower and not paper towels to finish washing their hands, as you shouldn't get water on the bottom of bowling shoes. Too bad they don't care about the food being served. The employees are super nice but can't take any complaints related to the food/lounge. The food lounge is one of the most dirty, disgusting eatery places I've seen. Unfortunately, it is the only place in our local bowling alley, Shore L

?? ?? We had lotsa fun!?? M-F 3-5pm $5 all you can bowl AND shoes are included! ?? We will DEFINATELY be back!???? & THE Staff was Very nice!?? Thanks!?? ?? ??

Bowling, arcade and billiards is fun. But the wings disappointed, BURNT. How can they cook them so bad and still serve them, we pay for food not bad food! Is simple to fry some wings or change the frying oil.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shore Lane Bowling Alley, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by a vibrant atmosphere that instantly set the tone for a fun-filled day. The bowling lanes were impeccably maintained, providing the perfect conditions for both novice and experienced bowlers alike. The staff members were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed

This was a fabulous place! We had such a wonderful time. Awesome place for the entire family. Mariachi Loco located in the alley was delicious. Service was excellent!

Sunday Fun with the Fam. Reasonable price. Had to order out bc restaurant was closed for refurbishing/repair but we all loved it. Somewhat crowded but for the price/fun, its what I'd expect.

This place is an absolute travesty; buyer beware - I'd drive to Orlando before I came back here and I live within 3 miles of this wretched place. The establishment ok (with the exception of the circa 2000 computers they use to run the place); however, the customer service is atrocious. We walked in, and they made my wife return a store bought water bottle to the car. Then, we had an issue with setting the game up on the lane due to the computers lagging horrifically; when I went to the counter to get the

Great summer time special. The nachos were very good

The best wings around!!!!!! Bowling is good too. The location is building escape rooms on upper level. A great place to hang out. I am trying to to add pictures but Google is not letting me.

I was deeply disappointed with our recent experience at this bowling alley, which was not family-friendly. Additionally, the building and equipment, including the balls and shoes, appeared old and worn. Unfortunately, this experience has deterred us from returning or recommending this establishment to others.

Pretty standard bowling alley but they do it well. Good food, good drinks. Place had cleaner bathrooms than I've ever seen in a place that serves alcohol. Bonus points for having a changing table in the men's room. We had an amazing time as a group.

Went in for the 3 to 5 mon-fri special, $5 unlimited bowling includes shoes. We had a party of 9. We got there at 2:50pm and told we could only get one lane due to high school bowling at 4pm. Half of the lanes were blocked off. They allow 5 people per lane, so we put all the kids on it. We eventually were able to get a second lane. Just confused as to why they would have a special when they can't even honor it. Then at the end we were in the 9th and 10th frame and they shut down the lane at 5pm, I mean the

Do not go to shore lanes for fun because they will rip you off and say lies about you when you were in the right! Didn't refund all of your money if you decide to leave...

I have to share how amazing the staff is at Shore Lanes. Space Coast Recovery is a non-profit drug and alcohol treatment organization. Our staff and clients were displaced today and they accommodated us to bowl for a few hours! The renovations are fantastic and the new restaurant has amazing food! Can't wait to come back and hang out again! Savan~ thank you!

Food and service was good, bartender was very nice along with other staff. They could mow the grass out front it's knee high or higher, mosquito heaven. They could also offer pictures of pop for customers that have young kids, or non drinkers. But they only offer pitchers of beer. First bowling alley I've ever been too that didn't.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Poor management and poor training for their workers. I spoke to one of the female workers over the phone about a week ago. I was trying to plan a birthday party for my two kids. They said they no longer offer birthday packages, which is ridiculous in the first place. But she told me that I could have my own birthday party there organized by ourselves. She made no mention of no outside food or drinks and last I knew, the restaurant attached closed down. So, I got ev

Bowled here for the first time while in Florida for winter. We loved it! Price was great, and they weren't crowded

Great M-F special from 3-5P! Friendly staff. Yummy Mexican restaurant. Lanes have issues sometimes, but we all have issues sometimes, and we still deserve love.....am I right??!! ?? We love bowling here

I went to Shore lanes to watch my teens son?s school bowling tournament. I brought in a thermos that contained a special tea I have to sip on because I have been battling stage 4 breast cancer. I was stopped by the manager, Kevin. He told me drinks were not allowed. I tried to explain to him it was a medicine? he said he did not care. I showed him my port and he said he did not care! When I asked him if he would treat one of his family members with cancer like this he said don't even go there because his da

Nice bowling center. Not busy when I was there . Friendly workers.

Decent bowling, they have some nice bowling specials throughout the week. Lounge does some good drinks. It's definitely a good time! If you're after perfect scores - beware. Some of the lanes seem to be distorted.

Buyers beware management at this bowling alley is very disrespectful. Staff have no respect. They must be underpaid. There is a sign on the door that says no drinks not even cups but yet they serve drinks within. It's a money guzzler. It's a way for them to make money by stopping you from bringing in thermoses, forcing you to buy their drinks. This bowling alley policy is of disrespect to their customers and to Merritt Island, high school children. I would not recommend this bowling alley to no one.

Had a great time staff was very attentive and pricing was very fair

This is by far the WORST bowling alley me and my family have been to. Entered the building and the girls at the front were extremely rude and not helpful. They put us on lane 5 for it to stop working in the middle of our game then the blonde said ?we will fix it? after waiting 5 minutes without bowling I had to walk back up to the front desk and ask what was going on she then proceeded to have an attitude and put us to lane 6 which ALSO stopped working. When my husband went to to the front to ask for our mo

Had my son's mini b-day party/travel baseball team party. They were very accommodating. We had 22 kids bowling. We had a blast and will definitely be back.

Friendly easy service. They were quick to help with any request. We walked into their Friday special, which was nice. Between 3 and 5pm it was $5 unlimited bowling per person with shoes included! They don't have socks, so be sure you bring some. The cheese sticks were surprisingly good with the salsa we were given instead of marinara.

My niece is in town and we wanted to take her bowling on her last day here. We got there around 3:30-3:45. No one told us that they had bowling league that night and during our first game, an announcement was made that we all had to leave at 5. No one told us upon arrival about any of this. We just started our second game that we paid for and we spoke to the manager about not being told. The young woman who set us up lied straight to every one and claimed she told us we'd have to be done by 5. I completely

The hours say they are open til 12. We came for the all you can bowl from 9 til close and paid $20 a person to be told they are closing early because they want to go home. Almost half the lanes are being used. It is by no means slow for them to close early. Will never come back here

Customer service was awful. The blonde lady at the front was rude and didn't even say hello. She then proceeded to point her finger instead of talking to us like a human being. I guess she was too busy talking to her friend instead of helping paying customers. Place is run down and smells like mold. Will not be back, go to Titusville?s bowling alley instead.

Bowling 4 2$ and it's mother's day

This bowling alley is the cats pajamas. Fun times and pizzas for the kiddos ??

Always a great place to have funn. Love the Glow in the Dark Bowling.

Hopefully, as they renovate, they get rid of the mold. As soon As we walked in, we were smacked in the face with the smell of mold. While we were waiting for the Jr Gold tournament to start, I looked up and noticed a bunch of ceiling tiles missing and more mold in the insulation above the game room. While washing my hands, after flushing the urinals, the toilet continued to run and went all over the floor. Thankfully, there was a drain by there, and it had stopped by the time I was done washing my hands. By

It is a nice alley, they have a wonderful weekday deal, $5 for all you can ball from 3-5pm including shoes. The lanes are in good shape. It is clean and a good time. It can get busy in the afternoons, especially if they have a high school match. They are host to the majority of high school teams. It is a great place to get some games in.

Our family has so much fun at Shore Lanes!!! Wonderful staff that is so willing to help when we need them. The food and drinks are great as well. Bowling at Shore Lanes is a family favorite activity!!!

Fun things to do on a cold or rainy day however I felt was a little expensive I felt like they should have had a special especially since there was only a couple ways bowling however definitely a fun time

Great place for family and friends!

They have a nice bar. If you like to bowl the lane need updated.

Best bowling deal I've ever seen. $5 per person. M-F from 3pm-5pm. Unlimited bowling. Price includes shoe rentals. Enough said, let's bowl!!

Use to be a big fan of this place but has been already the second time that I go there at 9:20 on a Friday and they don't let us getting a lane telling us that they close at 9:30 even if the website say they close at 11 pm

The facility is satisfactory. My low review is due to the intransigent and arbitrary policy regarding bumpers. My 9-year-old was having difficulty and getting upset. I asked the gentleman behind the desk and said, due to the policy of not allowing bumpers for bowlers over 8, he would not allow us to use the bumpers. My child did not throw the ball with much speed and would have been much happier had she been permitted to use the bumpers. Be aware of their inflexibility regarding this policy if you have kids

Will not return. The staff was not very friendly. Two machines kept glitching and not recording scores or turns correctly. Also, they have an age limit of 8 on bumpers which just seems mean to other kids who just want to enjoy the game and get very discouraged.

If I could put zero stars I would. Desk clerk is extremely rude, yelling at my friends and I for a misunderstanding. Hours on google and apple are not accurate. Unfortunate the manager has a poor temperament.

If I could give zero stars I would. We used to come to this bowling alley all the time. Last time we came was five years ago, and I can tell you nothing has changed. The place still is lacking in everything . It's dirty, dingy and lacking in energy. Ive walked into nursing homes with more character and energy. My husband and I went there with our small kids and asked if we could get a separate lane for the small kids and a lane for us. They refused to accommodate that, had they been busy it would?ve been a

Made us put our clear water bottles back in the car. What place of business does this? Not to mention, their bar doesn't give a care about the patrons and getting the drinks/water. Otherwise? the lanes are fine and the place is generally clean.

My friends recently threw me a birthday party her on July 30th. Our party host Emily was amazing. She was very sweet and took great care of us. The bowling itself was fun, no complaints there. The problem was with the kitchen and bar area. We were told that a free pitcher of beer was included in our party reservation as well as pizza. Upon arrival we found out that since our host was under 21, that they would not be able to supply the beer and instead gave us an extra pitcher of soda. My friends went to pu

We had a party here for a friend and Emily (our party host provided by the bowling alley) was an absolute angel. She was extremely kind, helpful and did a fantastic job hosting and helping us throw a successful party. We have absolutely no complaints about our overall experience with HER. However I have to give 4 stars because the man behind the bar is so rude and hateful to literally anyone he came in contact with, it was enough to ruin what would have been a great experience. He talked down to everyone in

A quaint little place that's clean, friendly and not overly populated. Came visiting from Ocala and found this diamond. The kids had a blast. Had the perfect mix of an arcade and bowling. The staff was respectful and nice. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good family outing or perfect date night

The place was clean. Staff was really nice. The guy running the bar and grill was a hoot, very good sense of humor. The food was excellent. Way above expectations. The fish and chips platter was really very good. Kids bowled for free, just had to pay for the shoe rental. Big edit. Didn't have shoes for one kid and charged us anyway. Old guy at the counter was as rude as can be to everyone. New restaurant is way overpriced and food is sub par. $10 for a house margarita. Lanes not working properly past 3

Good lanes, can be a bit oily. Definitely the best all around bowling alley around. Good deals on Sundays - 1.75$ games and 1.75$ shoes. Saturday nights after 9pm the lights go out for cosmic bowl- all you can bowl special price. We love the arcade which gives the kids another option while we bowl a few more games. The Mexican restaurant is a great addition with good drink selection and tasty bites.

We love bowling here. Always clean and safe. My son loves the arcade too. The reason for a 4 star rating is because the staff isn't very happy. I'm a very outgoing person so I feel like I make it easy for people to interact with me...but none of the staff have ever smiled or anything. Almost robotic.

Captain Rick is amazing and extremely accommodating! Made the experience all the more better. Amazing boat and he made sure to do all that we planned on doing while also ensuring me and my family?s safety. Would recommend to anyone visiting Key West!

I've been there a couple of times and had a great experience with each one. Great prices, decent music, and an entertaining score board are just a few of the elements that make this a fun way to spend a Saturday night.

Was going to go here to enjoy a date night with husband. Went there at 11pm. Checked before and saw that they closed at 12am. Once there the man in front was counting the cash drawer at 11:09pm and telling a person that wanted another game, "no" that he was closing. And when we asked for a game, he informed us that he is closing because the people that are playing are leaving soon. How would a company say that they are open at a time, but close an hour earlier. As well as turn down service for new or existi

What a nice bowling alley! It was clean. The lane shows your bowling ball speed, and explains which pin to hit for the greatest chance of success.

Awesome place the mini-poloza deal is spectacular.

Went last night never returning! Went there last night with a group of 10 arrived originally at 8:10 with five members of the group informed the staff that was checking us out that we wanted to do the double lanes unlimited, but she wanted to know when the rest of the party would be there. I told them no later than 845, which was true. My party did arrive no later than 845, but she had already set us up at a lane on just one game set up so after 30 minutes the three people that were bowling were done they w

Better experience this time. The fries were on point in their freshness, I would prefer without pepper.

I have come in from Tennessee and my mom brought me here to bowl. It was a fun and great place to bowl. The manager Al is one awesome guy. Very polite.. My mom and her fiance come at least three times a week and they love it. I will definitely be returning when I come back to visit. Keep up the great job and keep Al around. ..

Thursday morning visit as part of a school field trip. The pizza was good. Ladies restroom was clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. Great time was had by all.

Blown away that my pitcher of beer was $22.47. I'll know next time to sneak something in. And the kids hate the Sierra Mist. (Sorry, had to say it). The staff was all very polite and the place seemed clean enough.

Always a fantastic place to bowl, but their food counter sucks :/ the food isn't bad, it's the service, and prices. Their wings are almost $1 per wing, and take 20 minutes to make. They don't greet you with a smile, and they're not very friendly. You can just look at them and tell they don't want to be there. Which is horrible in customer service. If the food was made in a reasonable amount of time, and they smiled more, you'd have more people coming back for more!

Place was empty and the two young employees cleaning tables couldn't be bothered to greet us. We drove 20 minutes to get there. When prompted the employees said they were expecting a full house for league play and couldn't spare us a lane. They had more than 20 and not a single person in the building. I asked if we could bowl until the leagues arrived and they said ?no, we have to oil all the lanes?. On the door the sign clearly says open 9 am to midnight daily. Evidently they are closed before league pl

We don't bowl. We went to the bar twice, with friends to watch football. Mika, our server was fantastic both times!! As the bar got busier she hustled up & took care of everyone in a timely manner. There's a nice bar to sit around, tables & booths. The food good & would order again. Their wings are pretty darn good according to our friends. One only orders those when he goes there. The beer is cold & cheap. You need to step out of the bar, into the bowling alley & the bathrooms are right there. They are ver

Nice and clean facility.

The red headed girl with her hair in a bun at the shoe counter made us repeat our answers 3-4 times. When asked about prices, she pointed at the board. When asked why the bill was higher than anticipated, she responded it's what you wanted. Doubt if I will bring family there again. Very pricey, along with all post-Covid rises but our working pay didn't raise.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
