Shipwrecked

Shipwrecked

Reviews Summary

Shipwrecked offers a fun, pirate-themed mini golf experience with creative decor and engaging challenges, popular for dates and family outings. Many praise the friendly staff, clean environment, and additional attractions like arcades and escape rooms. However, some note long wait times despite reservations, overpriced arcade games, and inconsistent course quality. While most enjoy the atmosphere and service, a few criticize poor food options and occasional maintenance issues. Overall, it's well-regarded for entertainment but has room for improvement in logistics and value.

I absolutely love this place! I came here for the first time on Friday with my friends and we had a blast. Then on Sunday I needed to plan a fun family activity so I went back two days later with my family. I was lucky enough to have Isaiah both days and he was the sweetest and so much fun. But I think everyone working there is such a fun great vibe. There was also someone working with blue hair who was awesome!!! Good vibes, drinks, mini golf with a cute little arcade to end the night. I can't wait to have

Adults only Thursdays!! Had a blast with my boyfriend for date night! Super friendly bartenders, the arcade room had really great old school games, the escape room was fun & the mini-golf course was challenging and had really cool themes! Would definitely recommend!

It's hard to do justice just how good this place is in a Google review but here goes. The play itself is fun and engaging but the production is where it really shines. I won't give it away, but do yourself a favor and check out what I would consider Disney Park quality production. The staff is just as endearing as the establishment and the dude who helped us was Isaiah and he made the experience even more enjoyable.

So much fun for my family of 3. Staff was friendly and informative. Pricing was on point for the mini golf experience. Courses were well put together and fun. Coupon codes are available online for a low cost. Easy to get to. Very clean including the bathrooms. We came on a Saturday at noon and it wasn't over crowded. Definitely had a lot of fun here. Good for all ages!

Shipwrecked hosted our son's 7th birthday today and they are wonderful in every respect. I forget the names of the two people who stayed with and helped our party for the day but they were both super great, made our lives easier, and were awesome with the kids (thank you both!!). Everything was organized super well. A really special birthday for our family and they much exceeded expectations, thank you!!

Shipwrecked is located by Red Hook and is opened Thursdays through Sunday. Choose from a game of mini golf, three different mini escape rooms, and loads of arcade fun! They serve alcohol some wine slushies, and snacks for those who love to eat, drink, and play. This 18-hole mini golf is very interactive with a whole lot of fun. Remember to drop in a token to get that full effect. Next, it's time to move onto their mini escape rooms. There's a time limit of 15 minutes which is more than enough time to solve

First time doing mini golf and I had a good time. I wanted to try the escape room as well but didn't have time. There were about four sections with different themes. It was a nice quick game. The arcade is small. Not the greatest selection of games and the ticket amounts for the prizes are set high. You can either hang out at the arcade or have a seat in the seating area while you wait for your game to start. There are light snacks and drinks including some with alcohol for purchase. Lockers are also availa

This is my 2nd time visiting..love all the games and excitement this place provides. Perfect for date night. I will definately be back for the miniature golf..who knew I was so competitive lol

Cute put-put course although not super challenging. They do a good time of staggering starts so you don't feel too rushed. The drinks are what you'd expect for an arcade type venue, and there were some kids running around. If you're kid-free, I'd say go later to avoid that. Also there is no coat check or great place to hang them, so be mindful of that! I sort of carried mine around and strategically placed it between two or three spots so I didn't have to move it each time.

My BESTIES & I just left from this place & when I say we had a ball & the service was TOP NOTCH. We got there late as they close at 11, but we still ENJOYED our 1 1/2 hrs. ASHA BG MOLLY HAYDEN THANK YALL SO SO MUCH FOR THE TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE, It was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE meeting yall.

Great place for my daughter's 10th birthday. Visit this location with my kid and her friends. You have to follow along with the story around the mini-golf area. It was a fun activity for all different ages, kids, and even adults. The place has a small arcade at the beginning, which helps calm down the exciting and anxious waiting kids. The location was clean and neat, and the staff was friendly. I will be coming back when other outdoor places are unavailable in the winter season.

Ive visited Shipwrecked for my nephews 10th birthday. We had an amazing time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ms. Sheek in the arcade area was so helpful with helping my boys find toys and leave happy. Thank you soo much.

My wife and I went here when we were engaged and enjoyed it a lot. So it seemed natural to come back with a group of 20 high school boys for a fun day off from classes at school. We had a blast! The mini golf has a great pirate theme, the arcade is terrific and funny signs and humorous quotes abound at Shipwrecked in Red Hook. The customer service is terrific. Everyone was gracious during our event. My only minor suggestion is that it was difficult to reach the event planning contacts by phone at tim

We love Shipwrecked! Both the mini golf, which feels like a home-crafted passion project in the best way, and the arcade. Shoutout to Sheek who was so nice to my kids and prevented a meltdown with her kindness!

What a gem! I found this place from an ad on instagram a while ago. I followed the account because the advertising was fun, and it really showed off the energy at shipwrecked. I booked a mini escape room, as well as mini golf on a Saturday evening. The escape room was really fun! I wish it was longer! We did mission reactor, which apparently is the hardest one. Very creative. We escaped with 3 mins left. Mini golf was awesome. The course external design is cute. They give you a bag of tokens, and in eac

Just enjoyed my kid's birthday party here and was blown away by how easy Shipwrecked made the whole process. Isaiah was AWESOME with the kids. Every child was happy they came! Would recommend 100%.

This is a cute place but it was incredibly hot in there - to the point where I could not continue. My friends and I left before we finished the 18 holes.

Very fun location! Came here for mini golf and had a blast with my family. 10/10 would come again.

Had an amazing time with everyone and it was lots of fun! Major shout outs to Ashya and Molly for making it a truly epic experience.

Had made a reservation for 645pm for 4. 7:15 still waiting. Asked why were waiting so long, was told they booked multiple peiple for the same time. Don't understand the point of making a reservation for minigolf if you're not even close to making the tee time

Kinda strange, but still really fun. The "theatrical" part with the tokens is definitely fun for kids, but not worth it for adults. The tiki bar didn't appear to be open either. Not quite worth the trip from Astoria. Nice staff.

Our expectations started high and just went down, quickly. TL/DR: long waits with a frustrating and shady sign in process that entices you to spend more, poor communication, not a great course. First, their reservation system is clear that you're just reserving a place in line when you arrive, not an actual time to play. What? Ok, I guess we'll see how that goes... "Why" became clear when we arrived and had to check in to wait, not on the minigolf side, but on the arcade side. And now that we have to wait,

Went here for a Birthday Party. Probably wouldn't go back again. Arcade games are overpriced. Small venue and food was uuuggghh. Adult beverages lacking also. Location is also a little out of the way

We went on Thursday on Adult (21+) and it was great! Not too crowded and a good deal on mini golf, some arcade credits, and 15 min in the escape room. The mini golf was fun and a decent size. I wish each put put hole was a little more creative but still had a great time!

When we arrived, it was a bit weird because we tried to hit 2 on the elevator but it wasn't moving so we went to mezzanine and walked up the stairs. Then for some reason, we waited 10 minutes because they couldn't figure out how to charge us for 2 people without a reservation. Initially the courses had a bit of variety but literally it's like the last 4-6 holes the designers got lazy and they're all basically the same. For $21.99 a person, I would have hoped for more creativity in the courses instead of the

Great for families. Our youngest is three and he still was able to enjoy. Loved the theme and atmosphere. Only downside is the long wait to begin, but we came in unannounced. Parking was easy to find on the street.

Went here for date night with the wife and we had a blast. Staff?s we're very friendly and miniature golf course was very well setup. Definitely will go back again.

I went here for a birthday celebration with some friends . Very clean , spacious, friendly staff, each room had a theatrical theme , we had Brooklyn beer and fried Mac and cheese,it was fun. Wish there was some music thou

This place is great!!! Be prepared for a super long wait on the weekends, as kids have parties etc. But I am writing this review because after chatting with one of the owners, they won me over a lil bit more :) We did not get a chance to mini golf today due to our limited time that we had free. But we are def coming back this upcoming week and I will be sure to update this review with my thoughts on the course! I did get a chance to check out their Escape Rooms and those are cool as hell!!! ****UPDATE: I ca

My kids and nephew love this place we always have fun when we come here mini golf and the escape rooms are always a blast ...the staff is always the best I

We paid for our game, drinks, and pizza, through Fever. We find on arrival that we have an 'optional' charge for the 'interactive experience', tax hasn't already been paid, and we need to pay for and use silly little cups in the course. Putting tokens in a machine to get a poorly produced video clip or a cheap-as-chips animatronics scene just isn't cricket.

My boyfriend surprised me yesterday and planned a date. He took me to shipwrecked and it was so much fun, we did miniature golf and the escape room. We did the escape room twice because we didn't get out the first time lol. Shipwrecked is a cute date night place I look forward to going back. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Fun place. Went with some cousins. Mini gulf was fun and made it competitive.

This was a total fail for us as parents of small kids but this is a 5-star spot. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the place is clean and it's so cool! I don't recommend bringing small kids here (6 and 3) if they have any sensory issues or scare in the dark or with skull and cross bones. But even still, the arcade is cute and they had fun playing there. I will come back with my husband and leave the kids home next time lol.

Kind of amazing in a way that only a low key Brooklyn place can be. They serve bad looking food and above avg beers. Arcade is tiny but fun. Mini golf is entertaining. They provide a food amount of space.

Had to wait an hour after our reservation time (we showed up on time!) before we could start golfing. Drinks were extremely sugary. Mini golf was decently fun but the atmosphere including the arcade wasn't amazing.

This place was amazing. my boyfriend and I went on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. they had music on, they serve alcoholic drinks and the mini golf was so beautiful and nicely set up. You can tell the owners put a lot of money into this place. We played at the arcade for like an hour and had sooo much fun highly recommend. 10/10

We were here on vacation with our little kids and we had a lot of fun . Thankyou Sheek for been so nice and patience.

This place is awesome the different themes rooms all have their own personality. They also serve a lot od products from shark tank which I thought was unique. Definitely a good date nite spot

Decent minigolf and fun escape rooms for the kids. Great service. The workers there were kind, patient, and helpful with the kids. The arcade is a ripoff even by kids-ticket-arcades standards. Budget at least $60 per hour if you're going to let your kid play whatever they want. $2 for a single game of skeeball and that's far from the worst bargain in the joint. Eat before coming. Worst pizza I've ever tasted. They should just go buy tombstone from the grocery store. It would be a vast improvement.

The place is really empty on Tuesdays and it's great for taking pictures. The snacks are cheap and going with your friends and family is fun. However, the tokens sound really cool but the effects didn't match up to the way they described it.

What a great hidden gem, a family friendly experience not far from Park Slope. The golf course is perfect for kids, very fun and festive with seasonal decorations. The arcade felt very new with a large variety of games including some that are very easy to win. Ticket prizes are actually cool. The food is cheap and the staff is friendly. We will be back again soon!

My friends and I had a great time at Shipwrecked! We did the Mini golf course and were pretty amazed at how well the special effects were planned out, they really made the experience so much more fun and special. The entire facility and all the equipment was very clean, the courses were engaging and interactive, and most of all, the entire staff was super friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend coming here, the experience is truly fun and memorable, and I would love to come back and try out the escape

Great place to bring teenagers. Reasonable price and the staffs are nice!

Nice and quiet place to bring the kids. The earlier the better. Clean and suprisngly big. A lot of courses to play on. Had a great time

Such an underrated spot. Went here with my boyfriend for date night and loved the haunted escape room, 18-hole mini golf and the arcade room! Staff was extremely nice and super clean facility!

Mini-golf course is very nice and in great condition. Better than I've ever played in the city. 4 stars only because there's not a way to reserve a time slot in advance. Everyone is just added to the queue once you arrive even if you've already paid.

Place was nice and clean but they to inform people about the max stroke count. I had a groups that were doing 15 each in front of me.

The course was as cheesy as expected but while the holes looked simple, they were quite challenging. I was definitely not disappointed. Never seen a hole where you had to jump a ball, and one where there's a false hole, those were pleasant surprises. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Prices were very reasonable. The multimedia commentary was hilarious. Enjoyed the visit. 5 star for sure.

Horrible experience! It was our first time coming to shipwrecked and we wanted to try the Haunted escape room. They had time slots so we got the 9:20 slot. We wanted to do mini golf and the worker told us they stop taking people at 9:00pm for mini golf. I asked if I could change my time slot to 9:40pm and he said someone already took the 9:40pm slot. We expected our escape room to start on time and it was almost 10:00pm and they still didn't come get us for the escape room. I ended up asking for a refund be

Had my son's 7th birthday party here this weekend. By the end of the party he told me it was the BEST party ever! The kids had a great time golfing and the parents enjoyed as well. Sarah and Ismael were great! From organizing and all throughout the party they were very helpful and attentive. The only disappointment was the arcade. The kids went through their credits in no time and there wasn't a lot to choose from as far as games were concerned. Overall it was a fun evening and we would absolutely do it ag

Had a blast with my boyfriend ?? It was his birthday ?? ?? So much fun..

Great place for a date night. Played in the arcade before our game of mini golf.

The mini-golfing is the best we've seen anywhere in NYC. If you (or your kids) like mini-golf then it's definitely worth a visit. This place also stands out for another reason: they have the worst pizza we've ever eaten in our lives - significantly worse than frozen 'za from a budget grocery store. In fact, the pizza here is so incredibly bad that you should try it just once to appreciate how much effort they put into making pizza this awful, since there's no way they managed that by accident.

Great vibe, venue was very small and intimate and didn't have too much people, especially for tonight! Drinks were good and the deals were great for the price. Definitely date night worthy and we even found parking very close by!

Great food and drinks. Service was amazing also except the Kings lost that night??

The customer service at Shipwrecked is what you wish were the standard everywhere. It's not easy for teenagers to find something to do indoors in the winter. It took a little sorting out, as everything does these days, with online registration and waivers (nothing is actually easy anymore). I called ahead to make sure they could go without an adult, and to make sure we were doing the registration correctly. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. When my son got there, with a group of 9 k

This was such a blast!!! My husband took me for our 7th wedding anniversary - best date ever!! They have a full 18 hole course, escape rooms, an arcade and more!! Staff was amazing and the facility was super clean. Definitely going back!!

Minigolf is fun and innovative. The arcade has a very rare fair claw machine (pokeballs), which is very nice. 1 star has to be deducted due to the condition of the womens bathroom. One of the stalls cannot be locked, the other one was flooded.

Nice Place For A Date. A Multitude Of Things To Do.

Did my son's eighth birthday here, and it was a huge success! The kids had a great time. The room was set up wonderfully with decorations, blow up toy swords for the kids, etc. We ordered the pizza, drinks, cupcakes, etc. All great. Their staff did a wonderful job shepherding the kids through mini-golf. Only limitation is the size - there's a 15 kid limit. That was fine for us, but parents should know.

Hands down one the of best experiences I have ever had in NYC, and that's saying a lot! Will definitely be coming back here for sure!!

Staff is very pleasant. Everything was ready for my large holiday camp group. The kids had a great time. All ages enjoyed from 3k to 4th grade. We visit often and we are greeted with the same professionalism and excitement everytime!!! Can't wait to go back again!

Hidden gem of a place. Great for kids, decent food and drink options. Easy to get to from Manhattan also (just near the HC tunnel). Will definitely go back.

Always fun! My kids like going to the mini golf, but the LOVE the arcade. The games are all the popular ones we know - basketball, skeeball, air hockey, and all the video games too!

The employees were friendly and helpful. The Mini golf decor is really friendly. The course is clean and well arranged. The lighting provides a great atmosphere and the music was perfect background noise without being loud. Would definitely go back. I recommend as a great place for Sunday fun or a date . great for all ages!

Came here with a friend till kill time. It's in a strange location that you would not expect there to be a mini golf course advertised mainly to kids considering it's in the same building as an oil and gas company in a very industrial area. You can buy drinks here while you wait for your turn to play golf which is nice considering you'll be waiting to play for quite some time. There appears to be a pirate theme attempted throughout the course but it's very much a half hearted attempt. Most of the holes are

The holes are quite simple. It's indoors, so you're protected from the weather, but it can also feel a bit claustrophobic. The staff was friendly, and everything was well maintained. I didn't try the food, but there weren't many options and it seemed to come out slowly from the kitchen.

Affordable and fun. The mini golf courses are well-designed and surprisingly challenging, especially after several beers. Definitely wise to make a reservation prior to arriving.

Such a fun spot for a birthday party for kids! Recently threw my kid's 8th birthday there and the production is top notch. I just brought in goody bags and the rest was provided by Shipwrecked...so convenient! The kids enjoyed the golf course and LOVED the arcade games. Had two planners who were friendly and able to rein in a gaggle of kids. Location is clean and they decorated the room super cute. Exceeded my expectations, thank you!

We had a wonderful time at Shipwrecked last weekend! We booked a private room for a reunion, and it worked out perfectly. The kids got to run around in a safe and contained manner. They loved the miniature golf as well as the various video games throughout the facility. The food was plentiful and great quality and Chris did an excellent job making us feel welcome. Can't wait to go back!

We held my daughter's Bat Mitzvah at Shipwrecked and it was an outstanding experience! The communication and help planning the event went way beyond my expectations. Chris and the entire team made the event so much fun. During the party the staff members really helped the kids engage in the activities and seemed to be having fun doing it! They added tons of personalized details according my my daughter's preferences including special prizes, gifts and decorations. All of the kids had a blast and left flo

Visited first time today around 4ish in the afternoon with my kids. Good experience and would visit again. Took elevator to second fl, entered thru door on right side past some arcades, met a desk worker who was very friendly and informative welcoming and informing and showing me how things worked for mini golf (tokens for interactive parts of the course). It wasn't too busy so wait wasn't long and only about 2-3 parties in front of us. They had drinks, food available as well as adult balcony. AC wasn't ver

We recently hosted my daughters 5th birthday here, and it was fantastic!! Everyone had a blast, wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Shipwrecked handled the decorations, pizza, cupcakes, and entertainment. They also added a lot of thoughtful details like a birthday t-shirt for all her friends to sign and a family photo. It is no easy feat to wrangle 16 kids, but the employees were amazing and really went above and beyond.

So much fun. They have a mini arcade available to play while you wait for you turn for mini golf. Each section is decorated so nicely and are great for pics and selfies. My 13 and 8 year old had fun. Great place for a date and family day out.

A lot of care had been put into this place and you can really see that in both the escape rooms and the golf course. The staff is friendly and the food is good overall an amazing experience for people of all ages. Would highly recommend it. My only criticism would be that the jokes that you have to pay $5 more for are bad and maybe would have been funny in 2012. the jokes are either outdated or just horrible. Other than that it's a great place to relax and have fun with friends.

3 stars for the terrible organization of a bday party, place is nice and kids had fun, but we were stuck in a hot room with 20+ kids eager to play mini golf but had to go in groups and waited 20+min for our turn, party started at 1100am and was 2 hours, didn't leave the party room until 11:45 with nothing to do because the staff was holding us back from an empty min golf course. I would be passed if I were the parents of the bday child

My partner and I visited shipwrecked during a date night and we had a blast. We made reservations online so check in was a breeze. The place was empty so it almost felt like it was only us playing. Each hole came with its own challenge making for great competition if you are competitive. There were some animations throwout the course for entertainment. We were able to take our time at each hole with no problems. Worker was polite and efficient.

It's a cute place. 18 Holes of mini golf was fun. Do I think it's worth $15 a person? No. But I still had a pretty good time with my girlfriend. The Staff is also really nice, so that's always a plus.

Great Lil Place for kids and adults alike! Reasonably priced, Friendly staff and very clean environment! If it was a little bit bigger...it would be absolutely amazing as they could have more arcade space and games. Overall a fun time to be had by all. Great for a fun date night too.

Overall a fun and pleasant experience. It's well organized, clean, family friendly, and a cool twist on your standard mini golf course. It doesn't get 5 stars because of the price. $14 for an adult is a bit much considering you can easily go through the entire course in a half hour and still have time to spare. Also, don't waste your money on the show tokens.

Excellent for all ages. Well thought out miniature golf course and design. Food could use some improvement but everything else is excellent along with the superb customer service. Very clean, spacious and well put together. If your debating on going, just go. You wont regret it.

This is a small cute indoor mini golf course for the family. Even toddlers can try because they provide a small club and rubber ball for them.. children 2 and under are free. The course can be completed in about 45 mins to an hour and the level of difficulty was minimal. There are also some special effects if you buy the tokens but you don't need to. The courses are close enough that if the group ahead of you has tokens you can enjoy it with them lol. The staff was nice, the bathrooms were clean, everything

It was fun to play mini golf but the food was not good and very overpriced so one star off. There was an outdoor rooftop place to eat which was nice and ambient. The price for the mini golf was okay compared to what we got. Don't order the chicken nuggets they weren't good. And the white claw wasn't worth it.

What a gem hidden in Brooklyn!!! Did the three escape rooms and the mini-golf and had a ball!! What an original idea for the storyline and animations!!!! The staff was super friendly and helpful!! Definitely will go back next time I'm im town!!

I usually don't write reviews but after my experience yesterday I have to rave about this place! Finally visited for a friend?s birthday and we had so much fun - the golf was great and well worth it (really well crafted with some insta-worthy backdrops too), nice arcade and amazing staff. Will definitely be coming back again and again ??

This place is really cool!! This is the best place for a shidduch date. So close to Crown Heights, and easy parking right outside the building. If you go in on a weeknight it's super quiet. It has a neat underwater theme to it. They give you an option in the beginning to buy these tokens to access these mini-shows they have throughout the mini golf course. I never did it, so I cannot vouch for it. After you finish golfing they have a nice and quiet seating area that you can sit down with your date to have a

Had a great time at the indoor mini golf! Really cool waiting area with old school arcade games and a balcony. They also serve plenty of adult beverages as well as stuff for the kids. Definitely want to go back and try the escape rooms!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community.
