Customer Reviews

It was definitely enjoyable for our family from out of town. We were able to spend hours there on 8/25/24. On that date, the outside temp was over 90 degrees outside. The playplace fun house had sponge ball guns, slides, and obstacle courses. The mini bowling was our first time playing that and was enjoyable. The bumper cars were fun but the space wasn't that big if there were more than 3 people driving ot would have been top crowded. The outside go carts would have been more fun if they had gone faster. T

My 3 teen girls had a blast here. We probably spent about 130, but they all played tons of games, a round of laser tag, bumper cars and the race cars. We went friday as soon as they opened, we were pretty much the only ones there.

After a long week at work I was looking for a way to destress and to let the kids run off some steam so I could relax too, this place was perfect for that. We spent 4 hours here and didn't do everything ( although you definitely could do everything sooner , we spent a lot of time skating ??) The prices were FAR more reasonable then I had thought they would be. We actually got some great prizes too, since the rewards for tickets were priced so reasonably! We still have tickets left! We just got drinks, but

Our family loves going to Scottie?s. Everything is well-maintained, the staff is always friendly, and the food is tasty and affordable. Normally, places like this will charge a ton for food because they have a captive audience, but not here! Definitely recommend Scottie?s for a great experience.

Abby and the young man that organized our birthday party did amazing!! They were so patient with the kids and did awesome at making my birthday girl feel special! A birthday party I'm certain she will never forget! Thank you so much!

Best birthday party we have had, the specialist took care of everything and made it an easy going enjoyable experience for the parents which is very different from most birthday parties we have had. The specialist even checks in with you a few days before the party to see if there is anything you need, and then they are the person that you meet at the facility. Can't recommend Scottie?s enough for birthday parties they really did great.

This place was wonderful to go to! I love the aesthetic of the building and its decor, something about it just feels so authentic. There's a nice mix of old and new arcade games, and my siblings were crazy for the bumper cars/spin zone. If I lived closer to here I would definitely visit more often! Would highly recommend.

Great job on my 8 y.o. son's birthday party! My oldest is 10 and we've done many different parties. January is hard with weather. This was so nice and easy! Our host Ian even took a cake to the face upon my son's request. We will be back!

We were unsure of what to expect going here for the first time. But we had a great time as a family. There was fun for all ages but most importantly, for children ages 3,9,15, all had an amazing time. There were definitely moments to cherish for a lifetime. The Go-Karts weren't open yet because of the colder weather which was a slight bummer but maybe that'll just mean another trip. Overall cool place for family fun.

We drove by a couple years prior and based on the outside, did not go in. This year we stopped and we are glad we did. Lots of value for the $$. Total throwback on the rink. Mini golf and laser tag was a blast. Spent 2 1/2 hours there and maybe spent 30 bucks a kid. Not too shabby.

REVIEW UPDATE. This is a first for me. I had reviewed the facility 3 stars out of 5 for the reason below. Jeff the owner added a comment. then him and I have spoken privately. I explained a little more in detail of the situation, and he was open ears on the matter and never once said well my employee was right or tried to make an excuse him. He is going to use this situation as a training situation for his employees which I think is really cool. This should show people you don't have to scream yell or fight

This place was amazing! We just went today and it was one of the best places in our area. We have been here a lot and this visit adds more excitement each time. The food is great, the employees are nice, and the employees fixed machines pretty fast. A bit pricy but still a good place to go for the family. 100% Worth the money.

We love Scotties! My daughter is 7 and has had 5 of her birthday parties here and my son 2. We come as often as we can and to many special events that they have. The staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. We spend hours here and have the best time. I love that my kids love to skate, although it's nothing like when I grew up (all nights). There are several packages to choose from to make your experience budget friendly whether it's a birthday party or a day trip! Fun for all ages. I love when they

Not very clean every time we go there my kids get some type of rash on their arms. They need to have an employee walking around wiping down stuff or spraying Lysol there are to many people that come through there during business hours for them to not have someone walking around periodically wiping stuff down.

Great place for 6+ year olds but definitely wouldn't recommend for any children younger than that.

Currently at scotties fun spot, went back to the concession stand to order food but quickly changed my mind. The two guys with hair past their shoulders do not have their hair tied up, put back, or wearing hair nets. Neither does the girl cooking the fries, this is disgusting and we ordered no food and we had a LARGE group. Please look into this as not only is it gross but I'm pretty sure there's some kind of earth code against it

this took a lot of stress off me on what to do for the big day. Isabel was our hoists, and she was wonderful and pleasant to work with, the kids loved her and this whole experience. you all provided a day all these kids will remember and the rest want their party there too

Great place for fun and entertainment. Jeff and the staff are great. Get out and play the 2 mini golf and skate the night away.

The outer mini golf was lots of fun and well maintained.

Lots of variety! From VR beat saber to Laser tag, roller skating, bumper cars, vintage games, and beyond. Definitely work a visit for some great fun.

We enjoyed our afternoon at Scottie's! We tried all of the indoor attractions except bowling. My children found skating and laser tag to be their favorites. Staff was super helpful and easy to work with. The Fun Spot lived up to its name!

We booked a room for our daughter's 6th birthday party, and were very impressed with the care and effort that went into the planning. All we had to do was book it, and they took care of the rest. From planning to cleanup, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our party specialists, Dallis and Skylor, went above and beyond to make this day extra special for our little girl. We'll definitely be having parties at Scotties again!

Every time we visit Scottie?s it's always a hit! We love all of the events that they have for the kids! Our most recent visit my little one was over the moon he got to meet Bluey! For $10 we got the meet and greet, climbing gym and skating all included, you truly can't beat that deal! Thank you for providing our city with an affordable option for great entertainment for the whole family!

Had my daughters 9th birthday here. Absolutely amazing service and attention. Though, there was this lady who was trying to abduct my niece, bout got herself killed. Lol, no joke.

Very Fun for the whole family! Arcade, New Miniature Golf Course, Skating Rink, Go Carts, Snack bar prices.. very reasonably priced! They even serve alcoholic beverages for the adults :)

We have been to Scotties on different occasions to enjoy the arcade and skate it has always been FUN! Recently we went to enjoy the new mini golf course. It was really fun and nicely built. Will definitely keep coming back for more.

A great place for the kids to have fun and burn off some energy.

we lived in Quincy for 2 years now first time at Scotty's. had a wonderful time with my daughter.

A very challenging mini golf course. It was a lot of fun.

Not very many people here. There are lots of workers. Can't get the workers to do anything. Every time we go to do attraction, you have to go hunt down a worker, and then they sit there and argue about who's gonna go over there. Then you have to go back and tell them nobody showed up for them to argue a second around to get anybody to come.

The kids and I had a blast but its extremely pricey! For 3 kids and 2 adults to eat lunch and only the 3 kids to play it was over $200, not counting the arcade games.

I love this place I just wish they had a bigger facility to house all the equipment they have on top of adding some more equipment and attractions. If your looking for go carts, bumper cars, or roller skating they have it there plus some pretty cool arcades.

Place was great other than 1 manager in training ruined the whole event for my 2 year old birthday part. Overly pushey and didn't give us the package we ordered snd then later on found out that the package we ordered was on the books he just didn't ro his job right. Doubtful we will go back

Great place for birthday parties or to just bring the kids for a good time. Can be pricey depending on what you want to do. Staff are great and very helpful.

Scotties is awesome!!! There is so much fun stuff to do here. Many arcade games, awesome indoor putt putt, and skating. Just doing those 3 activities alone took up just about the whole day. Would definitely recommend and it's amazing bang for your buck.

I try try review good and bad. Place has fun things to do. You can tell it definitely lacked in the cleaning department. We were there when opened for a birthday party and there was stuff all over the floor. None of the hand sanitizer dispensers around Ballocity had any sanitizer in them. Can tell it's been ages since they cleaned under the shoe rack. Would be nice to see some adults working as well. I know they hire a lot of kids and that's great and all, but they need even more supervision. Around 5 just

We love this place. Staff is so kind and accommodating. We held a birthday party here and were going to do a walk in as none of the packages really fit our preferences. However, when we arrived it was very busy and we had a large group, making it hard to use just a couple of the open tables at the grill. My husband spoke with a manager and he quickly got us set up in a birthday rental room. He was so helpful in a crunch and my sons birthday party turned out to be one of his best yet! Thank you!

This place was an absolute blast for all of us. So much to do and at a good price. Kept my boys entertained for half the day. The staff are all so friendly. You will not be disappointed.

Great place and a great price. Skating rink was amazing

The party packages are great, a little expensive. Wish they had less expensive ones for smaller groups. My daughter wasn't offered to pick any songs out by the dj, like package included. Also, other options available would be nice to offer skating & bumper cars or skating & putt putt or skating & go carts. The kids had fun & are ready to come back!!

Great place to spend a day, and there are so many things to do

The kids loved their black light mini golf. It's even better because it's indoors. You can play in the summer and the winter. However, it's only 9 holes. They also have laser tag.

We picked the wrong day and time of day to be there. Most of the video games were off, the ones that weren't were 4 dollars or more. Put put is 7 dollars per person. We spent alot of money very quickly and at the end a disappointed child because nothing that was on gave points. Just much more expensive than I was hoping.

We loved our time at Scotty's. There are so many activities to keep kids busy and having fun for hours on end. The only downside is that they're only open on weekends, which means it's always pretty busy.

Our kids love having birthday parties here. The party specialists make it fun for them & stress free for me!

My neice and nephew had a great Birthday party tonight! THANKS

Their mini golf was fun! ??

My granddaughter did have fun with her friends. But they only had one person behind the concession stand, and the line was clear back past the tables. I'm glad they had a lot of b'day party s. But I wish they would of had more help. But All the kids was having a great time ??.

First time going, took my son for his birthday. We didn't have a party, just a day to go play. Spent 4 hours there total and he had a BLAST. The process of getting started was a bit confusing, but once we got going it was wonderful!

This was a really fun place for my boys! They enjoyed the meet and greet with Paw Patrol, and really had a blast in the Ballocity area!

Had a great time! It was our Granddaughters birthday and she had an AMAZING time. Plus it was fun watching the kids skate??...it brought back memories.

Scottie's is a great place to take the kids. We were there on a Saturday. They were packed and short-staffed but it was still a great time with great service. The kids had a blast and for the price you can't beat it. I would pick Scottie's over bonkers if I had to choose between the two. Scottie's has alot more to do and is more diverse for several different age groups.

My daughters and I went to Scotties as we have numerous times. I understand the place was really busy at this time. My daughters were hungry, so I ordered a pizza. Instead of clearing garbage off a table to include skates laying around that were obviously not being used, the manager suggested that we went outside to eat. I asked for a refund, and the person at the consessions wanted to argue with me when I suggested asking people who were just using the tables to lounge around at to announce letting others

Laser tag got nerfed Nerfed as in a downgrade disguised as an update

Great place to take the kids. Prices so much cheaper than FUN CITY! Lots of games for kids of all ages and skating also available. The only complaint I have is when your a first time visitor that someone explain how their cards work, the prices of the games and how you collect your tickets. Also the cards were hard to scan kept getting card error please scan again message on a lot of games. But would still highly recommend to others for a great place to take your kids for parties or just boring rainy or cold

My son broke his leg early in the summer and has not been able to get out to do much. By going early on Sunday he was able to use his crutches without bumping into people and enjoyed playing the arcade games.

We have always enjoyed playing at Scotties, even when it was just skating and a few arcade games. Now we love it! We enjoy every single activity offered! We had my son's birthday party there yesterday and Brady was amazing! He was so good with the kids and my son said it was the best birthday party he had ever had!

Great place to take your kids. Pricing is reasonable except for the food. They really need to step their game up with the food. There is a nice eating area and a great menu with plenty of options. Then you wait in line as you would anywhere else. But there's one person taking money. There's one person making food. To get one person through it takes at least five minutes. Hopefully your not 4th in line with kids. That alone ruins the fun. Then you get to the counter and can tell the employee is super stoked

Jeff and his team are the best. We've had 4-5 birthday parties at Scotties for my daughter. They've all been awesome. There is something fun for people of all ages. My daughter loves Scotties and we will be loyal customers for years to come.

Even in my 40's I have a blast every time I'm there. He had fun too......

My son had a blast. We had a VIP party with the theme add on, and it was awsome and so worth it. Abby and Dallas were our host and they did a great job. Thank You Scotties Fun Spot for an awsome party. They took care of everything. So nice.

The workers really went out of their way to make sure my daughters birthday was a blast! They made sure I didn't have to lift a finger. Huge thumbs up to Christian and Skylor! Two amazing employees.

Very clean and friendly staff! Alot to choose from for lots of fun filled time while there! People of all ages there, a room for the kids' birthday parties!! We will be be going back soon!!

Best birthday experience for all involved. The parents didn't have to wrangle the kids and the kids had interactive staff playing with them and directing them the entire time.

The games were cheap to play so u could play more for your money.. skating and food had laser tag and that was fun.. we lost a dollar playing a game but we went told employee and got are dollar put back on are card. Bumper cars play area. So much to do and depends on how many tickets you can get prizes with the tickets. Had a blast

Overall Scotties is pretty nice - the older attractions are well maintained and the new attractions are nice. My daughter has fun every time we go there. I think they could develop out the concessions a bit and optimize their service counter a bit.

Great place to take the kids and let them get the wiggles out. Food isn't bad either. Thankful for lots of parking and seating. Skating is probably the best bang for your bucks.

Skating was as fun as I remember it being. It's nice that they have the little triangles to help the beginners. Laser tag was awesome! We had a blast!

Management is screwed up! Employees are to young to understand their assignments and duties to uphold. Need more kid friendly Employees and everyone needs to understand the rules. Games were broken and others were dusty dirty.

Expensive...but fun for what it is...I remember when it was only a skating rink. All the attractions having to be paid for separately adds up. I guess you could buy the day pass but who can afford it? Honestly, if the attractions were even half of their current prices you would see business boom. At $6 per person for 10 min of laser tag, you can consider it. Pretty sure the high school/college kids you have working there aren't paid enough.

Very fun place to take the kids. They have a lot for kids to do including laser tag, skating, putt putt golf, a play place and games. My kids had an absolute blast. Only downsize was the cost for everything. A trip here is something you need to budget for.

Lots of activities. Children seemed to really enjoy it. Staff was exceptional, especially Amber. Always there to help and letting the kids have fun. Highly recommend it.

We took our son to Scotties Fun Spot for his 7th Birthday. He said it was the best day of his life ?????? I would recommend to everyone. We all had a great day (even adults) Thank you Scotties Fun Spot.

Went there with my 12 year old son and cousin and her 6 year old daughter we always have a great time and the kids that work there are so patient. We will always come back.

This is a really fun spot for a large group. I took my basketball team there while visiting QU and we all had a great time. The putt putt and laser tag were great. The go-karts were just ok mostly because the person running that area that evening wasn't the friendliest.

This place is sooo fun. When you are playing all of the games you will have so much fun. It is a good spot to go have fun and get away from any issues. You can skate, play Lazer tag, mini golf, arcade, go cart race, bumper cars, and for the kids ball-o-city.

The employees were very helpful & kind!

Mini golf was great. Great use of water hazards, each hole was challenging but not to hard for a great family night. Arcade was meh...needed a good cleaning and a slight upgrade imo. Play place for the little ones, bumper cars and skating available.

I highly recommend having a party here for your little ones! The guy (Lucas) was awesome and did everything for us with a smile! No hesitation! They all made my daughters birthday amazing! ??

This place is so cool! We spent about 4 hours there and although we are from Springfield we will be back! All of it is great but those go karts are the best!! Thanks for an awesome day in Quincy!

Berry good place ticket are cheap and you can put how ever much you want on there I remember that they had laser tag idk if that's under construction or not but I really love this place

Our family of four always has a great time! Kids love it there! I think the prices of everything (especially games) are very reasonable compared to some places and they have a great selection of food!

Despite their sodas being flat as heck had an amazing time and staff was as friendly as ever!! Poor kids r frazzled due to being understaffed but they managed very well with their attitudes being happy and carefree!! Definitely going back and definitely reserving a party!!

Great place for the the family to spend some time. There is so much to do here from laser tag, go karts, mini golf and more. It is worth the stop. It may seem pricey but compared to other offerings around it is very reasonable.

For being in a small town this was a perfect place to take your kids have a good time be safe let your kids roam wild and be free they have laser tag skating rink a lot of video games a jungle gym in many other things it's a must go For my wife and myself for being an out of the state resident it was perfect for our grandkids we had a blast

It seemed like it was a lot more expensive than when i was younger, though that might have been because i wasn't the one paying. Unfortunately, they dont have half sizes on skates, or at least in my size. Great service though! Will go back.

Great place. First thing the kids ask when we roll into town to visit family is when we can go to Scotties. Watch for coupons and the online special for price cuts on game / ride packages. It is a bit pricey w/o a bit off but worth it for the kids to blow off a lot of steam. The roller rink looks to be popular with the pre-teen / teen crowd on Friday nights. The LED lighting on the outside of the building is a nice touch too.

Wow. Flashback to the 70's arcades. Roller rink, too. Nice place. Lots to do. Bring your wallet - nothing is a quarter like it was in the 70s!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
