They've updated their games and mini golf!!!! We enjoyed this as an occasional family outing before the updates, but going into the new super fun mini golf and playing the new and some retro arcade games, we love it! The cost for Our family of 4 was around $100 for mini golf and game cards, and we stayed around 90 minutes. We felt this was money well spent for such a fun time. Our kids enjoyed the treats they purchased w the tickets they won, noting pop rocks can be hard to find and they were super excited

Such a cute and fun place for kids! The entire facility is immaculate?clean, tidy, and very well organized. You can tell they take pride in keeping everything in great condition. The staff are friendly, helpful, and make the experience even better. A great spot for family fun. Five stars all the way!

We just had my daughter's 7th Birthday party here and it was amazing. They have a party pro that handles the entire flow and keeps the kids engaged and on-schedule. The food was great. My daughter got to sing her and her friends favorite songs and golf. They did balloon animals and magic. The arcade has a variety of games for everyone to enjoy. All together an amazing experience. 100% would recommend to other parents.

Jennifer was the best! Me and my sister took our nieces here for our youngest niece birthday. She was so welcoming and pleasant to us. We enjoyed our last hour to the fullest! We tried to go to the sky zone a few streets away but they tried to over charge us. Scary Strokes definitely made up for our inconvenience and we definitely recommend JENNIFER!!!!! She made our visit so wonderful!!!

We threw my daughter?s 9th birthday party at scary strokes and we couldn't be happier with our choice! Our party Host Keyana went over and beyond and made the experience special for the kids! The venue is very nice and clean and the staff is super nice and attentive! And the activities are a lot of fun! Overall we absolutely loved it and recommend it for whether you're looking for a birthday Venue or just looking to have a fun packed time with the kids!

Had an amazing time at Scary Strokes! Huge shoutout to Jennifer, who was the only person working during our visit?and she absolutely crushed it. She greeted our group of four rambunctious girls with a smile, checked us in, handled concessions, got us set up with food and drinks, and still found time to check in on us throughout. Jennifer wasn't just running the place like a pro; she was the entire operation, and she did it all with patience, professionalism, and positivity. The games were super fun, the sp

Went here this evening with my family for the first time. Everything is new, so it's great from the perspective of being clean, no unpleasant smell, no broken or worn out games or equipment. The staff was very friendly. It's the first time I've played on an indoor mini golf course. It was very dark, but most of the sections had colorful features that glowed with the black lights casted on them, so it was fairly easy to follow the course. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the golf game, then we spent time ju

It was a nice spot to bring the kids for a Sunday afternoon. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They absolutely loved the experience. VR was neat. Golf was perfect. The arcade had enough to keep the kids entertained. We'll go again soon.

My daughter and I wanted to do something fun and decided to go to scary strokes and we were hungry lol. After Purchasing our arcade cards we went over to get food. Anthony who was working by himself with the food was very nice and polite. Even tho I do believe he should have someone working with him because taking orders and making the food is overwhelming. He did amazing with a smile on his face. I gave you all 5 stars because of Anthony Gaston. He should definitely get recognition and a raise. I will be

the VR was pretty cool. Never done it before and this one scared the jeepers out of me. Lol

Had my son's birthday party here and it was perfect!! I didn't have to worry about our plan a thing. Jordan and Jennifer gave excellent service and the kids had a blast!! Highly recommend!!

It was smaller than I expected, but that's my fault. We played a round of golf and the holes offered interesting challenges, and a lot of fun. There were even benches inside course area for those of us a bit older to sit and wait for everyone to finish the hole. The gaming area had a decent variety, and unlike a lot of arcades they were all in working order!!! There even was a VR section that I found was keeping up with technology. The only draw back was short staff when we went. Overall, it's a great fa

First time here. The kids had lots of fun. The great thing is you could play golf or just do arcade. Arcade was the winner today. Plenty of games for all ages. Staff was really nice and the place was clean.

Pretty cool place. The 18 holes aren't too difficult but not easy either. Small arcade that mimics a Dave and Busters (especially with the play cards). Awesome VR section. We did the double play with am extra person playing and it was only $50 so you can't beat the price. The food is okay...typical for a small place like this where the food is either microwaved or fried. Overall, definitely happy. This was the first time coming here because we see it from the road all the time. Will definitely be coming her

Our outdoor event was canceled due to the rain. THIS WAS THE PERFECT SOLUTION!They're short staffed but the ladies working that day provided great customer service with lovely attitudes which help to make an enjoyable time. Glowing, scary themed mini golf, arcade games, & VR all in one place.

My 5 year old daughter and I had a BLAST playing mini golf here! They also have a bunch of arcade games and a snack area! The younger kiddos love the black light and it's not "scary" for them! Overall a great experience, indoors, so year round as well! We will definitely be going back even though it is a bit of a drive from home!

Great place to let the kids have fun! Mini golf under black lights is way fun. They have some great combo packages with golf and games. There is also a VR setup where you can run in place while playing games. They even have a nice snack bar and the prices are not bad. Rain or shine, this place offers a great escape from being shut in this year!

Fun time with the mini golf, challenging holes with cool decor and obstacles. Very clean bathrooms, clean arcade area. Reasonably priced arcade games. Average priced food for arcade fun. Friendly staff.

Definitely a lot of fun. Great for young kids. The arcade was fun, they have some wild VR experiences here too. I wasn't expecting that.

This place is lovely, the staff is always super friendly and helpful, and everything always seems clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that it is always swelteringly hot in there. Normally I wouldn't even mention it because I'm naturally warm blooded, but even my kids who are usually cold were sweating by the 8th hole lol

This is a very nice, small place to bring your kids on a week night or weekend to play games, etc. Most of the games work as well

We had a blast! Loved the put put course and great games. Fair prices and friendly, helpful staff. We will go again!

Indoor mini golf with a unique black light theme. The course is not very challenging but is fun none the less. The prices are a bit high but not out of reach. The arcade has a modest selection and we found $20 didn't last 20 minutes, but the kids had fun. Over all it has potential and the kids had a good time on a cold December night. It's the only real putt putt in town so they have no real competition. The staff was friendly. They do have a snack stand but didn't get a chance to try it out.

A pretty fun spot for kids and families to spend a few hours. Not very big but well arranged so everyone can move around without feeling cramped. Small but decent selection of video games that includes a really neat VR play area for the older kids. The glow golf is simple but fun. All in all I would return but not sure how many times we could go before it became boring. The best description is a mini golf meets a small arcade.

Amazing ?? I love it. The kids love it too. Even had 2 birthday parties there. Great people and great fun.

Very clean and friendly atmosphere! Our family of four had a great time and moved quickly through all 18 holes. Plus we were jamming to the music playing in the background too! Very welcoming environment for all ages and we will indeed return again. We chose here to do something with our kids on our 21st wedding anniversary instead of finding a sitter and going out. The price was fair for all four of us, as my husband is a veteran and they gave us a discount. Even with a lot of people there tonight, we

This place was incredible. The glow golf had my kids so excited, and it plays music videos throughout, so even if you're waiting for another family to finish, you don't get bored. The arcade has a good mix of games kids can play and more adult games, and the points for prizes are reasonably set. :) Great place to take the family!

For the size and location, it was a great experience. The staff was very helpful even though we got there a couple of hours before closing

We went for mini golf and to check out the arcade and VR available. It was stress free fun course. 18 holes of fun looking characters. There are music videos and TVs. If it's crowded there are seats at each area. They have up to date games and new VR. Next time we will probably try the games and VR out. The GM is super nice and informative. We will definitely be back! I would suggest birthday parties here for younger people. It's a very nice set up. It's located behind the area of Silver Diner.

Squeaky clean! This place was perfect for some chilly sunday morning indoor fun. I read other reviews from a year ago stating how clean the space was. This couldnt have been anymore true. I was honestly surprised at how clean the BATHROOMS were!. My two boys, 8 and 5, had a blast with the mini-golf which was fun bc it was something different than the norm......it was halloween themed and dark! There were 18-Holes, each illuminated with lights and blacklight reactive effects. The mini-golf obstacles were goo

Absolutely Love this place! I've posted before, My older son is the one in the military when he comes home he takes his younger brother there so they can spend time together (remember me). Anyway went there again today, had ANOTHER great time, just son and I. Clean environment, Friendly staff , new games a great place for family fun.

The staff is always friendly, the games are fun, the claw machines aren't completely rigged and it's just an awesome place for wholesome family fun. It's a little hard to find but greatly appreciated in this little ducked off town

I took my son today for the first time and the staff members were very helpful. I loved the decorations on the golf course. We will be back!!

Would've been 5 stars but the kids pizza was burnt. The staff was great, room was clean, kids had fun. Upon arriving the female that helped us was so polite and then the smiles on everyone made the day for me. Family, fun and cleanliness. Must visit to experience

We came for my daughter's birthday with family and friends. We had a great time and the employee, Chris, that checked us in was very helpful and friendly! Because of him we would definitely come again! Chris I'm still waiting for my answer for what is the score for an 18th hole LOL.

This place is AMAZING!!! First time here and I can see myself and my family coming back ALOT!! Planning my son birthday party now!!! And it's a new place!!!! Better than chucky e cheese!!

My daughter?s 15th birthday, took place at scary strokes,, and it was more than I expected,, very friendly service ,, clean place.. !

This place was super fun and the host was awesome. Would definitely go back

Kiddo loves Halloween and loves this place. We've gone a few times since he was 3, he's now 5,each time he's loved it. It's like a toddler appropriate haunted house but mini golf. It's a little on the expensive side in my opinion $10 each, I'd give 5 stars if was just a lil cheaper. I also think they should add a little bit more light so that the kids can really see and enjoy all the statues and paintings on the wall.

Great little spot for mining golf, arcades, and even VR. Win tickets playing games and take home prizes

Awesome customer service and very friendly presentation for my daughter's birthday party ??

It's a nice put-put (glow in the dark) golf experience. The art work spray painted on the walls shouldn't be over looked. Someone deserves some serious credit for that art work.

They recently updated their mini putt with new features. The kids had fun

We have been here a few times, always a lot of fun. Nice arcade, the golf is not difficult but a lot of fun. Small Cafe inside for a fast bite. Great place for a family outing.

Very impressed with this place. Went there for date night with my wife and had fun. Will be going back again.

Adorable and fun! Good for dates or family events!

Kids had a great time with mini-golf and playing the omni arena vr.

Fun mini golf with obstacles in the course. Helpful staff give you all the info that you need.

Lots of fun felt sorry for the one employee running himself to crazy nonstop helping everyone but he did it with a smile and clutch attitude ....he needs a HUGE raise

We had so much fun!!! Customer service is great, the decor is well displayed. The theme and music are very cool. I'm coming back very soon!! =-)

I love this place! Clean and so fun! Great for the family!

Nice place and fun. The kids loved it. I only gave 4 stars due to the food, that wasn't so great.

Hidden Gem! My boys and I absolutely loved everything about this place. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the facility was clean and the pricing isn't bad. We will be returning soon!

We had a great time! We bought the triple play pack that included video games, the VR experience and mini golf. We were there over 2hrs and still didn't finish all 18 holes because had to leave for dinner. It was well worth the money to keep the kids active and entertained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back again

Great family fun! Get crowded very quickly

Place was really cool. Putput golf. Arcade too. A buck for each game though. Kind of a rich man's sport. Very fun though.

We had such a fun time at Scary Strokes! The customer service is phenomenal. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The mini-golf was fun and perfect for kids (and adults). The small venue is great for game choices and we felt very safe with masks, sanitizer, and social distancing. Such a great experience and we are looking forward to coming back soon!

Had my Grandson birthday party here ,kids had a blast! The mini golf was super cute and the games kept the kids excited for hours!!! Im giving three stars due to the equipment failure and lack of concern displayed by the Manager. My concerns where dismissed and met with what he was doing, how was the host, and am i ready to pay. Had the manager showed a little more concern it would be fives stars.Shanon our host was great.

Great music, cool theme, friendly staff. Took my family there and we all had a blast. K & J give it two thumbs up!

Great place for kids and adults. Prices are good you'll leave with many prizes from the games. Customer service is awesome

This is always fun for me and my two kids. Between mini golf and games to play good prizes. Between a fair price and easy to get to, we always have fun here.

We loved it. Fun for the kids and inexpensive! *Pics are intentionally blurred.

I've been here twice in January 2024, my party went from just my family of 5 then to a party of 10+. We did all the attractions. Having a great time because of the staff excellent experience like JAVON.

This is a cool place to go when you need to get the kiddos out of the house. It has a glow in the dark element that makes younger kids excited. Most of the holes aren't that difficult. The arcade is nice as well. It's not quite on par with Monster Mini Golf, but that is a pretty long drive. My kids enjoyed themselves, so that's all that matters.

My girlfriend and I went here for a Saturday night date. There was a short wait for the mini golf, so we began playing some of the arcade games before we teed off. The course was more challenging than I was expecting due to the size, but it was an enjoyable game. We continued on with the games after that. They don't have a huge selection to choose from, but the games they do have are fun, and really make you want to continue trying in order to hit the jackpot. Didn't get a chance to try the food as we had a

I attended a kids birthday party here. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The kids enjoyed the course and arcade games. A host was assigned to the group to take the kids golfing. He did magic tricks for the kids after everyone sang Happy Birthday. The kids enjoyed that too. Scary Strokes is a cool family night experience.

Went here for my birthday with my family and some friends. I thought the mini golfing was going to be boring, but it was fun! Met this young kid and he was nice. The arcade games were amazing and fun to play with my sister. But the Virtual Reality was truly astonishing, I slipped like 3 times though, but it was very fun. Hopefully I can come back here again some day.

The mini-golf was great! The arcade offering is ok. The VR kept blanking out and the velcro on the belts needs to be replaced because it kept unstrapping. If take the kids here again though.

My son and I went there today and we both had so much fun. I purchased the bundle which included the mini gulf, virtual reality (which was totally awesome), and a 10.00 game card for the arcade. This is Waldorf?s best kept secret. My son couldn't stop talking about it. We watched our free complimentary VR video like 5 times and it was hilarious. I enjoyed myself so much that I posted about it on fb, and also to a Charles County page I belong too. I hope this place stays around for a long time. They had grea

My 1st taking my family . We will come back . Excellent customer service. Fantastic atmosphere. An overall fun time . Spooky golf is competitive ????????

Awesome place!!! Great arcade. They load a card with the amount you give them and all you have to do is swipe at a game and play until your card is empty. It even loads the tickets you win to the card to easily trade for toys and candy for kids. The miniature golf course is a scary black light glowy course which is pretty cool. They even have a VR station where a party can get together and play but I haven't tried it out yet.

It's meh. Small arcade selection and the mini golf course is 18 holes with no moving obstacles. The party packages are not worth the price. Kids had a good time however we will not be visiting this place again. The omni studio is cool but was down half the night. Cool premise but not so great on the execution.

Great family friendly environment. Helpful staff. Love the TV's in the party rooms; guys can watch sports while the kids are golfing or playing the arcade games. Fun indoor golfing for the whole family. Will definitely be back and will highly recommend. Great way to spend a rainy day.

Really unusual theme for mini golf. It was really neat and definitely under-visited. We had a great time. More people need to check out this place!! The arcade games were all clean and working. The bathroom was also clean.

Fantastic experience! We went there on my mom's birthday on 13th of Jan and had a blast. The guy who was working I'm pretty sure he's the manager was extremely friendly. The golfing was loads of fun even the arcade was loads of fun. We will be back definitely.

Save your money Go to Chucky E Cheese or Mini Golf In Laplata!!! About : Golf < owner keyword is about!!! $12 to play the course for 11 and under $15 for an adult $4 just walk around ( "attraction fee) For what?< just watching the kids Each game is about $2.00 to play. Eveey game. Very little games ( thats $60 for games :Thats to play once) Depends on how many kids u have with u. No reason why this place stay empty Guess times toooooooo hard for them. They charge for ever thing!! ________________ Tota

Ok indoor mini golf course that can drag in places with a decent sized group. Ok price for what you get (18 holes). Arcade selection is lacking; it's mostly cheap claw games, cut the rope or things you could play at a movie theater

My boys and I love this place for indoor mini golf. Fun decor reminds us of the Hotel Transylvania cartoons. Newer arcade games inside also. Not much of a selection on food. I suggest eating somewhere else before u go. Still a good spot for a fun afternoon when u need some indoor fun.

As soon as I walked in the atmosphere was astounding. Christine was very pleasant and helpful. Scary strokes has affordable pricing and a fun mini golf course. They also have many arcade games and lots of cool things you can win afterwards. I recommend you bring your whole family to enjoy this superb place. You will not regret!

Really enjoyed our time today. The VR game was awesome. The facility was Covid friendly and clean. There was only one young man working the entire venue, but you would have never known it. This young man was superb! Sorry I didn't get his name, but he was really customer oriented and prioritized his duties appropriately. Great job! I will be visiting this place frequently throughout the summer.

It was my birthday and this was the perfect place to spend the afternoon--out of the summer heat. I had a great time. I have been to some other "glow golf" type places, but this knocked the experience out of the park. You guys have such quality decor! The 18-hole course was challenging, but fun. Will definitely be back.

Aside from having fun from the mini golfing and arcades, I had a small encounter with my food order. Tiffany who works behind the food counter and Erin the manager (hope i spelled their names correctly) were a pleasure. Tiffany goes ABOVE AND BEYOND with her customer service. She needs to be promoted and awarded for her amazing customer service. Erin, the manager, was very compassionate with my encounter, amazing customer service I truly appreciated her as well. They handled all encounters with grace and ca

We had a great time, the mini golf is fun for all but easy enough for the kids. The prizes for the game tickets are reasonable in ?price?. The staff was really nice and we had a blast!!! We will defiantly return and may book a party.

This place was big, colorful and fun the kids and adults loved it. I think the games were reasonably priced, the vr game room was great, and they had a Big Space Invaders Game which was awesome. I didn't try the food, but my s po n said it was ok. It was clean and not crowded. Thanks, for such a fun, family time. We will be back. Hopefully I get a big discount for this free endorsement. Bye..stay safe and have fun!??????????

This was our first visit and we weren't too sure what to expect. Right away we were extremely impressed by how clean everything is, the staff were constantly going around and cleaning off the arcade machines and were friendly. Putt putt was so much fun, all of the decorations and the paintings on the walls were very well done. If you are looking to spend an afternoon out with the family this is the place. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I went here as part of our all day date. We went at opening 4pm on a week day and we practically had the whole place to ourselves! The lady working there greeted us with a warm welcome and handshake. The black light mini golf was really cool. It was a small arcade but still fun.

Good vibes. Arcade games are fun and machines are always working. They also offer mini-golf and a VR experience. The course for mini-golf is long so your aware. 18 holes in total. Kind of a waste of money for us since we stopped on the 6th hole.

Nice 18 hole mini golf course with darklights. Some holes where very simple/easy, but some where def fun. I had a great time. The place is also an arcades game room if thats your thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
