We stopped by from out of state not knowing what to expect. My grandson is 6 and needs to get his energy out. We placed our order and played Pinball while we waited. They have multiple rows of different pinball machines and we had a blast. The food came out quickly though, and it was delicious. I ate every bite and I usually cant do that. Came here for a birthday party. Really good food and quite a few games with a lot of pinball machines. Definitely a great place for the whole family to enjoy. They also have several TVs in the bar area as well.

Let's start with good. Food was amazing , service was fast and friendly. Manager came by and said hello and told us all the great things that are going on and coming up with The SanBox Social experience. Sounds like many good things to come. The bar has an amazing selection and great service. Ok the only negative the pinball machines in the dining area, the noise and non restaurant traffic is distracting. If this would be corrected, I'd give 5 stars across the board.

The whole place is comfy but also feels cool to hang out in. The food was AHMAZING! We got the pretzel board to split and the pretzel board was so good. My PB and J burger was very very good. I appreciated the spicy bacon jam not being super spicy. Can't wait to go back and play some pinball!

Sandbox social was amazing!! We stopped in looking for a restaurant and found a gem! This is a restaurant and bar attached to Bank of Pinball, Highlander digital Axe Throwing, and eBash! (All of these places are attached, just walk through to the next rooms.) It is located at the front of the Terre Haute Mall located between the main entrance and the south entrance, and not in the middle of the mall like Google maps currently has. Came back with friends who came in from Indy. Hoping they'd enjoy themselves like we did before, however that was not the case. NOTHING was open. No batting cage, no VR, and when we tried to play Lucky Putt, no one was to be found. We did get some food, which was still good, but the service was lacking. It will be a while before we come back, plus some of our favorite employees aren't there anymore. Please do better, there aren't many places for fun in TH.

You can spend a lot of time here with your crew. Great menu, lots of pinball games, plus ace throwing, video games, so much and the place is so big plan on staying late. Haven't had lunch there yet bit soon.

I could only give 4 stars because I am not able to find their nutritional information anywhere on the app, website, or their menu. The food is amazing, the service is always wonderful. Truly such sweet people. It's just for someone who is trying to count calories to help stay on track with my weight loss, it's been very difficult getting this needed information. The best cheeseburger I've ever had!! Nachos were really good as well and my husband was very pleased with his breaded tenderloin. I am genuinely disappointed I did not come here sooner. Went to play mini golf. We paid for 9 holes as we were told by the attendant. $10 for 9 holes is what they advertised. We start the games only to find out that one game doesn't work therefore you really paid for 8. When mentioned to the owner he said yeah we are waiting on it to be fixed but provided no option to play another hole as the games are computerized. My family and I stopped in for dinner for the first time after reading the past reviews. The appetizers were good, but the entrees (we got the Reuben and Pulled Pork Burger) were definitely NOT worth the hype and price we paid. The Reuben barely had any meat and was generally tasteless. The pork on the burger tasted very old and stale. The fries were okay. Definitely not worth the $82 plus tip! We won't won't be returning.

Plenty of games to play, staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices for adult drinks were great. Didn't try any food so I can't write a review for it but what I saw it looked delicious.

We had an awesome time on our first visit and we'll definitely be back! The food was excellent, best tenders I've ever had and the house burger was delicious. The food is absolutely great. The atmosphere completely chill vibe, the lights aren't too bright, the pinball and the sound fx from all the games. Our waiter needs better work ethic. It took 18 minutes to get a refill on our drinks, he only had 2 tables and he disappeared for like 25 minutes total. Another waitress came and took over our table.

Visited last night for friends and family night and this place is killer! Menu was fantastic as we tried several different things. Affordable food that is well prepared and large portion sizes. Bar was well stocked and drinks were great. Family played some pinball while we waited as well as a tabletop card game that was available and on our table when we arrived. The Sandbox is becoming the heart beat of the Haute City Center. Not only is it a restaurant but it also has Axe Throwing, Pinball, Virtual Reality, Board game meet up, and more coming. Extremely interesting and well executed combination of fun. The Pinball Bank, axe throwing, and EBash all fit seamlessly together with a great restaurant. We had terrible service. You have to have a app to order from this place. Which sucks but whatever. So when we ask our server about the app and if we did it correctly. she tells us she's busy and do have time. And the rest of our lunch just got worse from there. The server didn't put a drink on our bill so when we went to leave they acred like we didn't pay. This place was terrible! My family and I really enjoy Sandbox Social. The food portions are quite large. My only gripe is about the tenderloin being too salty on multiple trips. The pretzel is massive and perfect. It was a hit with everyone at the table. Entertainment is top notch. Kids and adults all enjoy playing the sprawling collection of pinball tables, and Jet Pong was a great addition. Throwing axes at Highlanders was also a lot of fun and I look forward to future visits. Keep up the great work Sandbox Social!

Sandbox is a delightful experience. The VIP giving an hour of axe throwing per day alone is an incredible deal; I genuinely think it can't be the long term plan, but if you've ever wanted to mess around with it it's awesome. Axe throwing is hard, but really satisfying once you get it down (it took my partner and I about 3 or 4 visits for it to click and for us to get it to stick more times than we missed consistently). Food was good. Arcade is nice would be a lot better if half the games weren't out of order, worked rite, or was turned on. Biggest problem was when we went to cash in the tickets there was No one there making the counter. Waited for 15 minutes and no one ever showed.

I do love the idea of the game entertainment but the staff seems to be hard to find at times and not knowledgeable. They have the pinball machines too close together, more space would be great. I really love the pinball machines and the lucky golf, wish they would also get some arcade games, maybe some claw machines too.

The staff are kind and friendly. They are always willing to help anyone learn more about any of the products or services. And very welcoming to people new to the hobbies that play in stores. I look forward to time spend there. The food is good too but I don't have much experience with their menu. But they are always looking to improve it. Our family loved Sandbox Social! The food, especially the chicken tenders and house burger, was delicious with generous portions. Great idea! Poorly executed. Terrible service. We ordered food, got it and never saw or heard from the server again, until we went to find them to pay for our food. No one ever asked us to pay for our axe throwing. We could have walked out and not paid for a thing. While we we playing pinball a customer caught their foot and disconnected an extension cord that was powering a whole bank of 12 or more games shutting them all off. The fried pickles are horribly salty. We brought it to attention and found we were not the first to think that. Instead of just replacing them with something else, the waitress had to ask the kitchen manager if we would be charged. We didn't eat the pickles, so why would you not replace them???? Kinda sketchy. Really slow for a Friday, so not sure how that's gonna work. $50 for wings and tots, not again.

Booked our company New Year's party and everything was fantastic. Food was excellent, staff courteous, and so much to do. Tons of pinball machines, axe throwing, and VR games as well. Was told they are going to be adding mini golf in the near future as well.

I have had food from the Sandbox Social twice - both times didn't disappoint! The first time I had the hamburger - it cooked perfectly and filled with flavor! And the onion rings were very good. The second time I had the caprese flatbread - delicious, as well. My son had the nachos which were quite large (and good) and his girlfriend had the chicken tenders which were plentiful as well - she really enjoyed them! I highly recommend the Sandbox Social and will definitely be back!!

The atmosphere is fantastic, the games are fun, and the food is delicious! I've been there a few times and it has always been on-point. It's a great place to host a group event, have a date night, or enjoy a laid back outing with family and/or friends.

So far they all have been friendly and helpful. The food that I have had has been delicious. I enjoy going to Weathtop for the atmosphere and fun of playing one if their free board games with the family to see if it is worth buy. Which we have bought several. Thank you for a fun time.

I sat at the bar. Had a Long Island that wasnt that great. Had the fried pickles, well about 4 of them...flavorless and rubbery. Had the chicken wings. Sweet chili and bbq flavors. Chicken was extremely dry and touch and not much meat on them. The sauce was the only reason i even at 3 of them. Also, after i placed my order, the bartender disappeared. The hostess couldnt even find him so i just left. Would not recommend eating here at all.

I visit every day to play pinball! They have a ton of pinball machines and I've met some wonderful people there. It's a nice, unique hub for pinball enthusiasts, as well as a great place for families to have a fun outing.

We took our student staff here for our annual holiday party (over 75 college students and our office staff/families (total of 100 people). The staff at Sandbox Social was incredible! They were flexible with our large group and allowed us to use the Board Game store, e-sports venue, Axe Throwing, Pinball, and restaurant for our private party. This has to be THE coolest place in Terre Haute! Between the pinball machines (tons to choose from!), food, computer games, VR games, board games, and ax throwing - you'll never be bored! They have WiFi too, so as a Mom I can keep an eye on my kids while taking care of work or school responsibilities on my laptop and tablet when needed. This is especially great during the long winters when there isn't much to do outside. I love that it gets my kids out of the house. Very reasonably priced for everything too
