Customer Reviews

Used to bring my kids all the time, but they recently changed their pricing format for the arcade games and credits. now it's just outrageously expensive and not worth it. all arcades cost a lot in general. however, ryan?s went from being an overpriced, still within reasonable expectations activity to an absolute rip off. Very sad to see how greedy the owners have become.

We had a wonderful time, my daughter got all these toys, and i spent 45 $. The most important thing is that she spends a fun time and I play with her. 1 h of wonderful time. Well, be back. We came back today and we spend 160$ This time was to much lol. 30 plushes . New pictures.

A good place for arcade games and lots of fun! My little ones had fun in there. We collected points/tickets abd then we redeemed them with some gadgets and candy. We tried car racing, soccer, skee-ball, air hockey and more! You have to be super fast to win!

My little nephew had an awesome time here! He loved all the games?his little gleeful giggles made my afternoon!

Employees are very nice especially the older gentleman that works there definitely went above and beyond to help me and my son

The staff are always friendly and willing to help out if a machine breaks or if there's an issue. Fun to play and recently got new game installments that are fun and challenging, along with ones for amusement that immerse you in them. A good place for casual and competitive fun.

Stopped after fourth ofJuly..The arcade stayed open for an extra hour, thank you..had a great time. We got a $20 card, got extra and played an hour and still had $12 on the card remaining. I recommend stopping and having fun. Staff pleasant and gracious, place was clean and immaculant..All the games we played operate as designed...Will return. We rode the wave ride, and did the gun shooting game..left cell phone on counter and pleasant enough to answer my phone and returned it. All tickets earned added to

Excellent place for the kids. I will say the claw machines are rigged to loose, but what claw machine isn't. My kids love this place

I was expecting golf , a big arcade , and much more .. the arcade is very very small . The staff is absolutely horrible !! I was shocked how rude they were . I asked my wife if she spoke with any of the staff and she said they were very rude so we will never return . What a shame we had a decent time till we encountered the terrible staff . It's interesting how you have a ok time and it is just destroyed by two people . The two women that were working the desk were horrible. Very bad attitude God a vibe lik

This was actually a fun place, but my 3 star review is low because I thought it was filthy, short staffed and unorganized! It looked like the floor hadn't been vacuumed in weeks! The girls bathroom was very dirty. There was only 1 person working at the time we were there, which probably reflected its appearance. I know we live in a digital world now, but I have to say, it has its pros and cons. My grandkids were swiping away with their digital activated card. At times it didn't work and it was hard to follo

Good selection of games for kids (and adults) of any age. The staff was very friendly. They noticed when the claw machine dropped a prize a couple times which my mother was trying to win for my son, they opened the machine and gave it to her. Overall great experience and great way to spend a couple hours. Check out their play unlimited card!

My kids love coming to this location, the staff is always so friendly! Definitely worth a check out, it's on the smaller side too which is perfect so it's not so overwhelming.. we love it here!!

Was so awesome! Reasonably priced games. The claw machines are a total ripoff we had gotten many wins and halfway to the claw bringing it back to dispense the toy it would just drop it. Would not recommend the claw machines. But otherwise was an awesome time!

A little bit on the smaller size compared to Newport and Oak Bluffs, but the renovations have come out amazing! They have a good variety of games and the staff is amazing. It's definitely worth checking out some of their other locations if you want more games or bowling.

Not good. My husband and I love to go to the arcade while on vacation in Newport. They are wonderful there. Staff is always helpful. We were excited for the arcade to be so close to home for more frequent visits with our son. We took into consideration they were renovating during the 3 visits we have made thus far. Let's just say the staff is miserable. We have encountered 3 to 4 staff members during our visits, all unhelpful and act as if we are bothering them. We over looked it at first because they are y

Kids had a great time.

Nice, small arcade. Decent prizes, the games don't cost that many credits, about $1 each. They have newer games. Parking is free only during certain times and hard to find

Very fun arcade with awesome ticket redemption prizes and also very fair claw machines ,my daughter loves it here. Would be 5 stars if it was a little bigger and had a couple retro games/pinball. All and all a great place with friendly workers.

Very small but all the games actually worked and the games weren't overly priced like some other arcades.

The place is in remodel, so there was not a lot of games to play. But my four kids still had a great time! The only employee on tonight Taty, was friendly and engaging. She helped the kids pick out all there prizes, helping them add up points and suggest items to fit their budgets.

Staff are awesome and even thought it's a small arcade, it's a good one. A decent selection of arcade games and a few that you could win a lot of tickets!

Very nice place staff are amazing

Ryan's family amusement need to upgrade on some of the video a little bit towards teens an upgrade the prices just a little bit

Small arcade but lots of fun games. Very clean, hand sanitizer dispensers everywhere. Friendly staff. My son had a blast. Claw machines are rigged though! Haha

My wife and I had a blast getting to be kids again after enjoying dinner down the street. Great new games and older games!

Great place my grandson loves it. I was surprised at the amount of games they have. Go when ever I can now

Not as good as the other Ryan's locations. Many games priced higher than at other locations. Very limited prizes and very few non-ticket games. Take the drive to Wareham (Buzzards Bay) and you'll get the added feature of candlepin.

Tokens and prize tickets are on a card. Clean, not too busy when we went. My kids had lots of fun. Lots of fun games for the kids.

Stopped in last night at the Plymouth location with my family and the new manager Tim was so friendly and helpful. Top notch customer service and a pleasure to deal with!

Was good fun place to kill a bit of time with children. The selection of games are limited but it is a decent value for entertainment.

Great little place to play some video games and claw machines

Fun small arcade. Most games were in working order and the staff was very friendly and very patient with our kids.

My son, bf and I had a blast! Definitely recommend! Love that there open pretty late as well! :)

Expensive, but clean. Staff was friendly. Grandkids loved it. They ran machine to machine.

Not much in here, and unlike the Ryan's in Newport, this one is impossible to win anything at! Should make claw machines bit easier.

Very cute little spot. Clean, new games and good prizes compared to the other many other vacations we go on.

Nice place spacious and fair. Party area a little small but the employees there were really awesome!

Good size arcade with some nice selection of games. It's right downtown close to everything too.

Cute little arcade. Games are usually operating correctly, good prizes. In Plymouth waterfront.

Once the renovations are complete and the entire arcade is open then it will be awesome. Fantastic location

Fun little arcade. Lots of claw machines. Better for younger kids 6 -10.

Not many games but they're undergoing renovation so it'll be alot better when its done. There was 1 game that kept my friend and I occupied for awhile

Game selection could be better. Big complaint is the lack of decent prizes to redeem for?all cheap worthless stuff.

Waited 2 hours to play laser tag just for them to tell us we can't play.

Very clean, everything was well maintained, only downside was the limited selection of games.

Loved it cute quaint and cozy beautiful part of town to visit. Good time

I was hoping for ARCADE games... X-Men...classics..some good ones for sure in there still, and air hockey.

Come here weekly with the gents and always have a great time!!???? 10/10 great place to hang out!!

Great arcade with many option?s for games for kids.

Decent arcade. Dont both with the claw games, all scams.

It was a rainy day and found Ryan's. It was terrific for the kids!

Was great but a couple of games needed a little work.

Love going there with my granddaughters always fun

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
