Great Family Fun at Royal pin Royal Pin is a great spot for family time. Located at 3421 E 96th St, it offers 70 lanes of bowling fun, two bars, a restaurant, laser tag, and outdoor putt-putt. The place is clean, well-organized, and has a friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, with even better deals during weekdays. We ordered chicken, a pepperoni pizza, drinks, and I tried a pretzel with cheese. The kids and my wife enjoyed the pizza and chicken, and I liked my pretzel. The food wasn't outstanding, but f

This place has been our go to place for weekends, holidays and also perfect places for kids birthday party. Staff is awesome and had good options for drinks and food. We always found open lanes when we go there, but do check prior as many times they have big tournaments. The place needs a bit of TLC to modernize it a bit, otherwise it's a great spot for family and friends get together..

Had a blast with my 17 & 14 year old. Bowling, arcade, food, lasertag... There's an outdoor mini golf next door (we didn't play bc it was very cold) nevertheless it looks super fun) and I'm unsure if it's part of "Royal pin" or a separate entity.

I come in every almost Wednesday morning to practice, but lately, they have been putting a bunch of families with children on the lane next to me when almost the rest of their 80 lanes are available. For over $5 a game, I expected a little more lane privacy. This might be a great place for a kids bowling party but if your a serious bowler I'd take your business elsewhere.

If you're looking for a place where the bowling balls have seen more drama than a reality TV show, Royal Pin Woodland is the spot. The lanes are smooth (unlike my last Tinder date), the arcade is a blast (and a great place to lose all your quarters), and the cosmic bowling makes you feel like you're in a music video from 2008. The staff? Super friendly?didn't even judge me when I managed to throw a ball into the next lane (don't ask how). The food? Surprisingly delicious, especially if you enjoy the fine a

Had a work event. It was a chill environment The food is good and the bar is nice. The lanes were all great. Yeah pretty good time.

Very easy booking. Walk-ins are accepted even during the weekends. 70 alleys, arcade games, food, beverages.. there is everything you need.

This is an amazing little arcade to spend some time at and they have a nice assortment of games, especially some fun shooting-style ones! Me and my best friend spent a good chunk of time here playing a few different ones! I do have to add that the game prices do seem a little high at first, however they make up for that by giving you lots of tickets per game.

This place is nice and cozy for kids party. But the employees are too mean. They wouldn't give kids size bowling balls even though they had quite a few in the stand. The bully manager said they are reserving it for future customer. As if we didn't pay for the facility and services. Buy extra size 6 balls or limit kids parties. They even misspelled my kids name. Overall ok. Hope the future customers had fun ??

Fun bowling place, however hard to get lanes with leagues, we've had reservations cancelled in past asked to move on another occasion (after just 15 minutes), and it seems like every day is league day. cheaper by the hour usually than by game if looking for a deal. Also have laser tag and mini golf, mini golf machines vary on price, and decent arcade.

Great Facility, plenty of lanes, and cool atmosphere. The SEVERE problem is the cleanliness and upkeep. The approaches alone are a tacky, grimy, and sticky disaster. On top of that the pinsetters aren't taken care of properly whatsoever. Sure, some marks on the ball are normal, but not black rings in every axis line

So many lanes. 2 bars. A wonderful arcade. Overall a really nice experience.

The staff at Woodland Bowl are always very helpful. pleasant and patient with the almost 200 students we bring each year. We will continue to plan our end of the year field trip at Woodland!

We chose this location to celebrate my son?s 9th birthday on 1/13/24. We truly enjoyed ourselves,Collin did a great job hosting us. We look forward to returning. Woodland had an affordable bundle package that everyone was able to enjoy. We had 10 kids total and two pizzas was plenty. They allowed us to bring our own cupcakes. Don't forget the candles, they do have lighters. It was easy. We showed up on time, played and left before the snow started.

They made our event great! I appreciated the seamless coordination between my points of contact and the ease in day of accommodations. Thank you!

Pretty cool bowling ally and bar and mini gold and go cart arcade. This place is sure to please the whole family.

We held a corporate event at Royal Pin Woodland. Everything was well organized and the food was good. We had a great time and it was very Royal Pin Woodland was very easy to work with.

Lot of conflicting and confusing information from the staff. We called to see if we can book lanes (the online reservation tool was not working), we were told we do not need reservations, we show up at 1pm and we were told there are no lanes open until 6:30 pm. While we were trying to figure out what to do next, we were told we have lanes available and can bowl. Not sure if everybody are on the same page here. The food here is extremely expensive and not very good. Restrooms are disgusting. On the plus

Royal Pin Woodland was a great place to hold our USI Summit Awards Event. They were helpful and responsive the whole way along. The event coordinators Caitlyn and Juliette helped with anything needed and answered all of my questions. The food was great, and Juliette was available throughout the event to help with anything that came up. Their private room and AV set up worked well. They allowed us to plan our agenda and timing that we needed. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Plenty of space to mi

Very Bad service we were asking for help no one showed up to help and the stuff don't know how to behave with the customers specially the lady with glasses

Huge place with bowling 70 lanes. Stick to the bowling, that was good. Will try laser tag in the future. Arcade was underwhelming and lacking in VS games and very expensive at ~$1.60 per play. A lot of the ticket machines were rip offs and are just multitier money grabbers, don't get tricked as you are better off buying what you like from a toy store since items are extremely overpriced in terms of redemption cost if you ever manage to get some tickets.

very big bowling center with nice couches to sit on while you bowl, they have lazer tag and a HUGE game room and I think miniature golf next door it was cold when we went. had a great time

The front counter staff is friendly and pleasant. The staff in the caf? area is rude. Also who wants ice that has had hands in it? That is how ice is served from the caf? here.

The upgrades to the building are awesome! There is something for everyone there. They also have the best pickle fries I've ever tasted.

I've been coming to Woodland for 40 years, and it remains my favorite bowling alley. My first time back in two years, and we had a great time. I much prefer paying per game and not per hour, but we came very close to getting in two games with four people rolling.

I messed up with my reservation for my daughter?s sweet 16 bday hangout. Adico( I hope i didn't spell the name wrong),who was at the counter at bowling section, showcased his professional manners to help me resolve the silly mistake and being very attentive. I truly appreciate this experience.

Thai place is unreal. 70 lanes! And they were almost all full at 7pm on a Wednesday night. They also have a really cool multi-level laser tag facility - including a Limitless VR option which was fun, and mini golf (outdoors), a small arcade, and karting in the building next door. What else could you want?

DO NOT THROW A PARTY HERE. Poor customer service. Shoes are beat up and bad. Lanes over crowded. Definitely overpriced. Do not host your birthday here.

My son's friend had his birthday party here! We had a great time, when it was time for cake & presents, we moved into the diner area. We were able to have our own little area away from everyone else. The parents were able to bring in their own cake! The staff was friendly and the bowling alley was nice and clean!! ? Definitely would recommend this place! Another benefit that was great, there is an arcade right there so you could play other games if you wanted to! Outside they have miniature golf and I belie

OMG, this place is so big you have no excuse not to got to it. They have more than 60 plus lanes to blow. The place it's mind blown. Great place to take your family and friends to have a great time during the winter or summer. P.s. make sure you bring a warm jacket ?? they keep this place super, super cold ???? and it's what makes this place great.

Have been to this alley numerous times throughout the year. We waited an hour for 2 lanes to become available, paid $220 for 2 hours of bowling with 2 adults and 7 kids, but couldn't utilize the table for food because a party was reserved there. We were only limited to use the tiny table where the sofas are. I asked to be moved to additional lanes that appeared to be available and was told we couldn't. Needless to say, they were not accomodating for the kind of money I was prepared to spend here tonight. An

Nice bowling alley, come here at times on weekdays around 5, that actually pans out to be a good time because there are plenty of open lanes. Venue is clean and have had friends order bowling bowls at the shop on premise. They also offer customization services at the shop. Overall, nice experience.

Fun family place and a place that looked to hold leagues. Lanes and layout were nice but where I was really disappointed was on Saturday afternoon, it was 50$ an hour (we had 3 players and looking to practice) and they started the timer when at the front desk, not when we started our first game. We lost 20 minutes by the time we found our lane, got drinks, and got set up to bowl. It really soured our experience as we were from out of town and no staff told us time already started. So be aware of that, a

My company hosted our annual holiday party at Woodland Bowls. Cynthia and our bartender and the rest of the team Interacted with were great to work for. The party went off well and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the fun.

70 lanes and updated computer system that you can edit the bowlers experience. If one person out of your group wants bumpers you can check mark that option next to their name and it puts the bumpers up and down automatically. I also enjoyed that their bowling ball weights were designed like big pool balls with the numbers easy to read on the outside. Clean place with plenty of kids to do like an arcade or laser tag.

I've been here a couple times now. And the kids always have a great time (Aside from the normal fighting over who's winning.) You can always find a coupon online which is nice, but the bowling prices are super reasonable! Every time I search for bowling places to take the kids we always end up deciding on Woodland since there's extra stuff to do, plus the regular prices for open bowl are cheaper than other places I've seen. And when you're entertaining 7+ kids that's important to save some money. If you're

Haven't been bowling in a while. I'm glad I chose here. Lots of lanes. Food and drinks. Clean. Everyone was friendly. There were plenty of open lanes when I went because of the size of the place. Will return.

Horrible experience. We didn't even bother finishing our game.

Really nice large bowling alley very clean prices were reasonable $50 an hour up to 6 people per line she's included I thought that was about right for a weekend good evening. They also had plenty of on site security which is a good thing these days.. Bowling shoes could use an updating a little stinky and old

Visited here for the first time in years for a fundraiser evening. The first lane we were in worked flawlessly. Second lane we played in had trouble registering strikes and would give a 9 instead, which we then had to fix. It wasn't a huge deal as we don't play that well anyway so there weren't too many strikes to fix. :) The shoes were a bit worn out and finding balls with big enough holes for my hands was a challenge. However, that's no different than any other place. The one gripe I had was that the fund

I made an online reservation on Thursday for Saturday night for a friend's birthday celebration. Come Saturday night, there was a long line and we waited for almost half an hour to find out that the online reservation booking was incorrect and they had overbooked for the night. Very disappointed as we did not get to bowl.

Family event was incredibly fun, working with staff was easy and efficient. Food was good, hot, tasty and sufficient. We hope this is an annual tradition.

Great bowling alley, has ample open bowling priced per game. There is also mini golf and an arcade area, a snack bar, a drink bar, and a resturant. There is a pro shop as well. Electronic scoring, with gutter bumpers for younger bowlers.

i ordered 3 burgers with lettuce, went to eat the one and found a green bug. this is disgusting. you need to clean your kitchen and make sure your food is fresh.

Been there with grandkids. Had a blast. Surprised to find out that pizza was realy good also

I enjoyed bowling at Royal Pin Woodland due in part to its laid back yet clean and modern atmosphere. It was affordable which is important for me, but also I felt like it was an experience that I will remember. My party consisted of 3 adults including myself and we bowled during the day, mostly on a spur of the moment type thing. But it was nice because we got in and bowled pretty consistently for an hour and then headed out. We did get some snacks which were tasty and fairly affordable. Although I would

Pirates Quest LAZER TAG inside at Woodland Bowling is AWESOME. Big room, 2 floors, clean, friendly staff at $6 for Unlimited play was great. Long playing sessions, food and drink specials!

The family had a nice time. It was nice that the bumpers could be programmed easily for the kids and even turned off midgame if they wanted. Everything was clean and nice. Had a little trouble finding a ball with larger size finger holes. I gave 4 stars because the cashier didn't seem to know what was going on. We had a great coupon, but I still think we were over charged. He also couldn't figure out how to get my transaction to count on their app. Didn't try any food, but maybe next time.

Loved it here definitely coming back with my friends, the staff looked super tiered an was still chill about everything an was nice

Went to celebrate our b-day. My husband and I and some of our closest friends had a ball. Friendly laser tag. We played in the arcade. Even thou some games didn't work we had no complaints. The bar was a bonus

Great venue for adult, children, and family entertainment. The bowling space and tech is clean and top notch. The food was awesome. And the staff was kind and friendly. Highly recommend!

It's big 70 Lanes available, nice atmosphere, is not cheap 55$ x hour x Lane

This was a fun night. The bartenders were nice. The food is just standard bowling alley food, nothing amazing. They could have played music to make it even better.

Very nice and clean large bowling center for the serious all the way down to the first time bowler when lanes are available. Did a great job hosting JrGold. The Royal Pin centers are very nice and worth a visit when you are in their area.

I highly recommend this bowling alley for anyone planning an event or just going with friends. The bowling alley was clean, the pizza was good, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The customer service I received while planning my event is really what set them apart. We had a group event and through our many changes the team was always friendly and willing to help us make our event an success. Overall a GREAT experience.

Bowling balls kept getting stuck. Staff was responsive, but it was super frustrating. We left early.

This place is better then our southside option. The bowling side is really great, but the mini golf seems to be a bit run down. We found a raccoon on the course and the staff had no idea what to do.

Food, beer/wine, kid games, miniature golf, and especially laser tag are all well organized, not just bowling. Great for kid partied.

It was very nice. We are from Michigan and we don't have any bowling alleys near us that are this nice.

We bowl every Monday and have an excellent time. Woodland is the best bowling alley in our area with the most amazing staff. I have to give a big shoutout to Andy, one of the managers. He always handles everything so professionally and we are very grateful to have him working on mondays when things get crazy with high school league and backups in the kitchen. He's very responsive and helpful to our league! Thank you Andy!

Great place to spend a Saturday night with the family drinks, food, and games

Price went up to 60$ per hours, plus you have to rent shoes, about 73$ for 2 people to bowl.

We had a great time celebrating my son's birthday.Staff was kind & pizza was delish!!Thank you!!

Great atmosphere. Great people. Food was hot. Drinks were good. Ready to come back!

Wow way to many people. Trash was full and i saw multiple employees just walking around Women's bathroom had no soap. . I had to give 1 stars cause it wouldn't let me say no stars

We had a great time at our annual bowling event! Thank you to the staff at Royal Pin Woodland for their accommodations!

I've bowled at a lot of places and recently moved to Indy. I knew of Royal Pin from their PBA events and had to check it out and was not disappointed. $5 games, which is very reasonable. Had a tenderloin and fries for $13 (if you've bowled in other cities, you know this is a great deal). $7.50 or so for a 32oz beer - they even have a lovely Royal Pin lager. Everything is well maintained. It was very busy on a Monday afternoon but still had plenty of oil to use my stronger ball for a couple games. Ball ret

Been here a few times with friends and get set up immediately. They have a great system for keeping names/scores. You can even just set certain names to automatically put up or take down bumpers. Lasertag, mini golf, golf carts, etc. A good place to hang out with friends and family of any age Im not in the competitive bowling seen but have seen posters to accommodate for the top tier players as well.

I give this place 4 stars, its nice .. it can get busy and they charge by hour. Pizza is good and they have cold beer.

Lotsa fun...we felt like we were kids for a bit. #verymuchenjoyed

Totally unprofessional people we sense we started the machine had problem we called for help 2 times after 20 minutes someone come help but talking to us very mean way don't waste your time and your money

Good place to spend with your friends. Kids also will enjoy the game here

Laser tag and bowling was fun. If you do play laser tag pay attention to the power ups and the employee playing against you. I suggest staying on top of them so they can't get a high score.

Great service and really fun time for us. Very reasonably priced as well. The kids love the scoreboard with the different themes. Almost everyone not actively bowling was masked which is a plus

Decent experience except when it comes to food and/or drinks.

Very rude staff We started playing and balls we're not coming They just wanna win the argue and blame you I don't recommend it at all

It's a fun place to bowl will visit again.

With the high cost of bowling these days, I only go when I have a coupon. The Entertainment Book has had buy 1 get 1 free coupons for years & I've always used them. Even when they switched from paying per game to paying by the hour, the same coupon always worked. Now they make you pay in advance to reserve a lane, $50 per hour, & if you want to use the buy 1 get 1 free coupon you have to pay the full $100.. up front.. & then get a refund for your free hour. As inconvenient as that may be, I've been doing th

Great staff nice place good food

Great place. The cheese pizza is delicious and the staff are very nice people.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
