In Charleston on a work trip and like to practice while traveling. This place had nice lanes and good oil pattern. I got in early and was able to avoid the kids. I'd say it's a good place to bring the younger ones, have the bumpers and bowling aids. Looks like some decent food options as well as a nice bar too. Highly disappointed. Came for a celebration and was met with a very rude cashier. Her demeanor and communication was very off putting. So much so, that we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Based on our experience, you have to be a certain type of person to be treated fairly. No apology from management or anyone.

I came in a for game a couple weeks ago. Its a nice place but the staff are not so chatty. There is a hole in the chair in the middle lane. It look like it had been there for years. Had a great game and I got the room to myself withthin the first hour of opening time. I haven't bowl since high school and it was a fun game. I am just warming up.

We come here regularly and the lanes need repair/maintenance. The balls frequently get stuck at the pins and the reset button needs frequently pushed. The food is always good and most of the staff are nice but the women who work in the front could use some customer service skills.

This place has been a staple in goose creek for as long as I've been there, and I've been there for a while. Whether you want to bowl or get some decent food and adult beverages, it's a great hang. The only reason I put down four stars is because I'd really like it if they fixed the place up. Mainly the parking area needs repaved and some areas need some tlc but nothing too bad. Bowling and food were excellent (food was a tad bit pricey but not unexpected lol).

Great family fun and a fraction of the cost that Stars and Stripes is. Huge parking lot, decent food and quality lanes. Toddler bumper lanes is much easier as well. Decent arcade as well. We will be back.

I called a couple of weeks ago to inquire about bowling on Super Bowl Sunday. The woman gave me the times etc. We were a group of 12, 6 cchildren and 6 adults to celebrating a birthday. 12 of us traveled a half hour and arrived at 10 A.M.,when it was to open . We waited until 10:20,along with about 20 other people. Sign on door said open Sundays 10 A.M.,NO sign that it was closed. It was extremely disappointing. Beware of this establishment. At the beginning of Dec. I called to find out about youth leagues. The first time I called I spoke to an older lady who had no information about youth leagues and basically told me she didn't know. Never offered any help on where to get the information. 3 days later I called again a nice younger lady gave me all the information on how the youth league works and that all I needed to do was come to the meeting on Jan 6 at 6:30 and my son could register up and get started. Decent lanes and friendly staff. Snack bar can sometimes be left unmanned, leaving you to stand there for 5 minutes until someone arrives to service you. Some of the lanes are bad, though. Most are perfect, but some of the pinsetters are in need of replacement. They'll often drop pins, or rather wont set them down to begin with, requiring you to press the reset button a couple times in order to have a full rack. Excellent bowling alley! Something fun to do with the family in Goose Creek. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy but it was a smooth running operation. We didn't have to wait, and the place was clean. Only a couple small complaints are that they didn't have a good selection of ball weights and it was sometimes slow to get service at the bar. Can't wait to return.

We come here every Sunday between 10-12 for their $2 games. Staff is great. They all know my son and greet us with smiles every time.

Waited 2 hours and 30 mins for a lane and got kicked out halfway in my game cause they said when the lights go out, kids must leave no exceptions

My brother invited me to come see him, practice with the bowling team he's on. I really enjoyed myself and atmosphere was very appreciative. There was no smoking and I was able to carry out the procedure for coronavirus.

Nice family entertainment facility. Clean, modern, and reasonably priced. Lanes were in great shape! Will visit again. Nice concession area as well as a restaurant/bar.

We love this place! It's clean and fresh, and things feel new. Plus the staff is helpful and friendly. Our big group event was amazing and so fun for everyone in attendance!

Laid back, chill, environment. Went with some inexperienced bowlers, just about everyone scratched over the lines. We never saw or heard from management regarding these infractions like most alleys. I think I went on a Saturday night...? Got pretzel bites, they were delicious and the kids serving were friendly. There was karaoke, pool tables and full bar service. I enjoyed myself so much! We came in at 8:55 and they told us it would be an hour wait so we went to get food and came back within the hour, but I guess lane opened up within 25min instead and they only hold the lane for 10min. Fun fun fun! We are new to Goose Creek and wanted to try out some local indoor fun activities. We bowled and was able to get a pizza and drinks. A bit expensive but that is expected, and was well worth the 2 1/2 hours we spent having fun.

The lanes are trash, pins never reset correctly. You spend half your time asking staff to reset your lane. Prices of beer are equivalent to the airport. Asked the manager to comp me a game because of the faulty lanes and pins and she claimed it was impossible. Will not be returning to this facility. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. My boyfriend and I paid for unlimited bowling and got to play two rounds before our ball return stopped working. I asked one of our neighbor lanes if they knew what to do, they didn't so they went up to the front desk. He came back and reported that someone was coming to fix it. A lot of fun for the family. Clean facility. My only complaint is that when they get busy and you want to purchase more games on your lane it can take time since only one person is working the register and getting shoes. But the staff is friendly and helpful.

I was overcome with emotions when my boy and several other Cane Bay High students asked me to be " The Mom" who chaperoned the high school students after the homecoming dance in this 2018 school year. It was very surprising to find out that we were going to be going to Royal Lanes in Goose Creek. It must be so nice to work at a bowling alley and get paid to tell women what they can and cannot wear. Do NOT go to this place unless you want to go back to the 1920s before women had basic rights. After me and my party had already paid, the elderly woman working the front counter told me I HAD to change because I had a tank top on. Thank you to the non trained staff members here. The young lady I talked to did not inform me of the $350 I would be spending for a birthday. The only thing she told me was the $100 non refundable fee. Who in there right mind doesn't explain everything to come with and how much it fully is for a party. The last lady I talked to tried to justify the cost. So thank you for allowing me to waste a $100. Train better people to have customer service and how to fully explain everything. Zero stars

The place is quite nice. I can tell that the seating hasn't been updated in decades but besides the one chair that I noticed having a hole in, they still function fine. This place has 36 lanes and great deals. It has your average bowling alley food that i love chowing down on every time I'm there. And the place is just genuinely fun to visit when you get the itch to go. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the arcade. Kinda small but it functions and is pretty nice considering the space they have to work with.

Fun, fun, fun. Something for everyone. A good place to play and have great conversation. There are things for children to do and adults to do including bowling. There is also a snack bar and a bar. There are pool tables and bathrooms. A very enjoyable experience.

It's a very nice local bowling alley comfortably located here in goose creek. they have everything here you need for bowling primarily. also a bar next to the food station and also has arcade machines. I will say they will probably need to update their bowling lane systems like the tv's to much more modern equipment like the ones at stars and strikes but that's just my small pet peeve but hey, don't fix anything that's not broken. Also, the pro shop seems to be closed all the time.......?

Would recommend better air conditioning, for even the kids were sweating inside. The lanes don't have enough tables for if you have one lane next to another group. The service was okay at first but more busy it got, worse service for attitude wise. I'd suggest still for it was fun to bowl, but if you have kids, I'm not sure if I'd suggest bringing.

Our lane kept malfunctioning and would not score us for strikes or spares. We switched lanes and the next one worked fine. Super busy on a Saturday as expected.

Rude staff. Weird manager cleaning lanes with zamboni just cuts into the middle of our game to clean the lane. Messes with the score and he has to go over and reset it. Placed us next to the only other group bowling as well. Strange staff and rude workers ruined the experience.

I've been to the bowling alley quite a few time, but I dont think I have ever brought my kids to this one. I was shocked to learn that they dont allow bumper for any child that is taller than the counter, which is pretty upsetting when you have a child who is autistic, who is used to always having bumpers, and in the 80th percentile for height and doesnt bowl well at all. My son had a bowling league and we came here until it was suddenly canceled. The arcade is ok, enough to keep the little kids entertained. It's just dirty, the bowling lanes malfunction ALL the time, food and drinks here are absolutely crazy expensive and they offer birthday partys....... for 350$!!! Went to the official restaurant called "Gators" and was very impressed. We were leaning towards ordering a pizza but expected it to be of low quality. Very nice place. It is clean and clearly has been maintained very well over a long period of time. I travel for work so for now I'm in the area. The specials they have in place from day to day are great. The staff is nice and professional. I haven't had too much of the food, but the chicken fries were surprisingly good. The only thing holding this place back is the overpriced food and how often they cater to leagues. If you can't ask them during their public bowling times the places amazing. They have over 30 lanes and if they're not hosting a lead that night they usually have something open immediately or fairly quick. They have a mini arcade and pool tables

I went here to bowl with some friends and had a blast. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the price per game is super affordable. Be sure to get there early so you don't have to wait too long for a lane to open up. The drink prices are great and the egg roll appetizer was so yummy, perfectly fried. Only critique is that it does take longer than you might like to get drinks or snacks, not sure if that is due to being understaffed.

I booked a party package for 300 I paid 100 for deposit. Day of party, we waited 45 mins before we could even get our drinks with no ice, we had no forks ,or cake cutter. Didn't have a bad experience but the bowling area needs an upgrade. Sitting is limited for parties of 4 or more for some lanes. Bar / restaurant area is nicely set up, but obviously not family friendly after 6. The crowd in the bar, is exclusively adults going for drink and fun, completely independent from bowling . Police were present at the parking lot. Not sure if that was a good or a bad thing.

I really enjoyed this place. They were attentive, there wasn't a lot of people in there, and the bathrooms were clean! This was my daughter's first time coming and she loved it. Usually always a great experience until today. I bought my kids in for their very first bowling experience and the lane we were assigned to gave us so many issues. Never have I ever had so many issues with missing pins after someone's turn is over and it should be reset for the next person, after so many times of that we switched lanes and it happened a couple more times. Bowled 3 games with the family and friends, we had a great time. We went at 10am when they opened on Saturday morning so it wasn't too busy yet. We ate some fries and soft pretzels, both were great. If you haven't been bowling in a while, I'd suggest trying this place out!

I'm an older guy and don't bowl that much anymore, and have only bowled at Royal Lanes once (just moved to the area). The first impression when you pull into the parking lot is not great. The lot and the outside, in general, are not very well maintained. Once you enter, the interior is fine, although a bit dated looking. I bowled in the afternoon so can't evaluate how the lane conditions are at night during leagues, but Parker Bohn and his son bowl here in a league, so that tells me that it must be a decent

People at the desk were helpful and friendly. Everything seemed relatively clean. Only minor complaint was trying to find a house ball that had big enough finger holes. But we still had a great time, and definitely plan on going back.

Great staff that work here. Morgan the young lady that helped me was amazing! Her infectious smile, greeting, and most excellent customer service skills were top of the line coming from a senior in high school. Between her, the gentleman running the pro shop with his extensive knowledge, and karaoke will keep me coming back. Great place solo, with friends, and family. I took my family there this weekend everybody enjoyed themselves friendly service the bowling was affordable but the food is kind of pricey

Not many things are open on the base after a certain time. This place was open and we had a good time.
