Came here for the arcade. They also have bowling (a few lanes) and food. Everything looked high quality. Great set of games including: a few rows of claw machines, classic games, and newer ones I hadn't seen before. They have a few rooms too. And unlike other arcades the prizes are really good. It runs off of cards and you have to pay $2 for a new card which was a little annoying. Your money is converted to points and games of course have odd points per play like 12.4 pts or something, meaning you're likel
A good place to take the kids. It's sort of like a Dave and busters with a few less games with bowling and pool there. We only did a few rounds of bowling. A good spot to go do something.
Good security, were very thorough making me feel safe during my visit. The place was quite busy and the service was on the slower side but can be put aside due to it being a Wednesday evening. I was impressed by how kind the staff were despite being such a busy evening. Would bring my family here as the claw machines feel as you actually have a chance to win prizes.
A 2 floor arcade with an amazing amount of crane games. Grabbing a card to play games was easy, and it was a loud but fun experience.

We had a birthday party here for 14 kids in September, we picked the All Inclusive package. We had the big party room which is spacious, with karaoke and nice party tables. If planning a birthday party there, you might want to get there at least 45 minutes early to wait in line to order food and drinks, get all the game cards and bowling setup for your guests. They are short of staff to take care of the party people, and the wait can be long. Plus the credit card machine was not working at that time, make s
The experience was strange. Two friends and I went bowling. We ordered a pizza, some nachos, and a soda. The pizza took 30 minutes to be ready, and the nachos and cheese were cold. We had to complain. The employee was kind and replaced it. But what really bothered me was that they put a security guard next to us as if we were criminals and all we wanted was to have fun. Let me clarify, the guard didn't interfere with us at all or say anything to us, but his presence next to us was very uncomfortable.
A HUGE thank you to the amazing staff at Hayward Round One, especially Phil, who went above and beyond to make my son?s 10th birthday party a fantastic experience! From start to finish, the team was incredibly hardworking, helpful, and attentive to every detail, ensuring everything ran smoothly. As a busy mom, I truly appreciated how well-prepared and organized they were?it made hosting effortless, and I could actually enjoy the celebration. The kids had an absolute blast, and the experience was top-notch!
Great place for date night! Lots of fun things to do, great employees, and just a lively and upbeat atmosphere. Never got around to bowling, but still had fun playing their arcade games and their karaoke looked like it would be fun too! Family friendly, there's something for everyone of every age.
I constantly go to this location due to its convenience, but their inflation and company greed have continued to increase. Prices per credit zigzag, and the cost per game increases more than twice a month, which means your ticket value fluctuates. When machines have a horrible grip and it is brought to the staff?s attention, they insist nothing can be done, which is just money to the trash. But this review isnt meant to diminish the location as they have a good variety of options when it coms to claw machin
we love this place we always come for a family outing and always have a great time. although the food court was having their own breakdowns we didn't go to round one for the food.
First time i go there, we went on a weekday not too much people. Wanted to play bowling we had to be on a waitlist, decided to go to the bar to wait, there was no bartender. Lota of the games were not working. Wont be going back.
Compared to what this place was maybe 2-3 months ago, it's feeling a little run down now. Some machines have been broken for nearly a month, some machines have the same number of prizes they started with weeks ago (looking at you evangellion crane with exactly 31 boxes since the beginning of the month of May). The redeeming qualities being (most of) the staff and at the very least the place is kept acceptably clean. Heck - even the pizza from the food desk wasn't half bad. I think if they fixed up the brok
The place is very clean, lots of arcade games and claw machine games. My daughter loves winning all the stuff toys and anime figurine. 99 cent ice cream per scoop is awesome! There's also bowling and billiard games and open bars for adults.
First time here. Good prices for bowling. Decent prices for a quick bite. They lost a star because they didn't have a bartender so we were unable to be served a beer. ($1.99 draft and $5 bottles.) We were told "maybe in an hour or two." Lots of games to play. Decent crowd there for lunch on a Wednesday, but school hasn't started back yet. ?? We will go again.
The event hosted on March 30th was well organized from start to finish. We had a manager and three employees who looked after our event of 60 people. Ryan, Lynette, Kaya and the others went beyond their job duties to keep all our Foresters members happy. Lynette stood out for her bubbly and lively energy which kept everyone happy. Well done Round 1 Hayward. We will certainly be looking at hosting another event soon. Thank you Team Round 1 !
Went in today to play. Arcade games are good but the claw machines.. the prizes are good but the claws are not adjusted properly. On multiple machines I watched the claw go down, close, then fully open again before lifting. They can't be won...it's not all the machines but it was enough to be pretty annoying.
A fun family place, but bring lots of cash. $86 for 4 of us to bowl two games, plus an arcade card was $55. We had a blast. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food is more like carnival food. So eat elsewhere. Umless
Today I had a bad experience every time I go to this place I spend more than 130 dollars and I won several jackpots the problem was when I tried to change my tickets the person in charge doubted that I had won them and began to ask the employees if it was normal for the machines to give me so many tickets. I think he left to check the cameras as if one could cheat if the machines put the tickets on your card how bad that they treat you like that.
It's a nice place for kids, but we were mistreated when we took a bday lot of kids, 11 of them, one of the kids rattled one of the games to get a stuffed animal that was at the cusp of the door! Instead of treating them like kids and asking to speak to the guardians, they escorted the kids outside without notifying the parents!! I don't think that is acceptable. Sorry I have to add, that these were minor 12 year old kids they threw out of their establishment,, is that okay !! To add fuel to the fire but the
??It's a good experience Well I did four new tires and with new rims here with mounting and balancing both and yeah they did fast service and they have good quality tires and rims ?? they are so humble and good adviser about your vehicle wheels so I prefer that ones u guys have to visit thank you ?? ?
HORRIBLE Round 1! This place is a scam. I would give 0 stars if there was an option. My friends and I were so hyped about the claw plushies. But those claws won't even claw at all. In fact, one of the claw machines malfunctioned (the claw did not even operate properly). Reported to the staff but they did not refund the credit and simply treated as if nothing happened. The small claw machines were easy to win. However, don't bother clawing anything but small machines. Really disappointing experience. East
Great time Until??.. They gave another Nubian person my husband ID as if we all look alike and now have to wait with no information about the 2 lady?s that cause this in the first place but all his information was given to a random stranger be careful if your going to play pool or bowling you might not get your Id back? so Unprofessional and such an Inconvenience I swear would this happen to any other race
Short version is, if you're going to a RoundOne, patron the San Jose location or even the Roseville one. The management at this one is no bueno and the Compton location is lacking. This is probably the worst Round1I've been to. Came here on a Valentines date, and from the get-go it was going wrong. My girlfriend was told to empty her thermos of water - not something we've ever been asked to do at other locations. Okay, fine. Half of the claw machines are off/broken or not in use. I've been to this locatio
The worker was so nice today she helped me with the claw machine when I was having problems. Also the other young gentleman who was kind enough to switch a prize for me. 10/10 would come back again! 12/27/24, Friday, around 2pm. ??
Awesome lil gem we have here Hayward/ San Lorenzo area... things to do for all ages, they have 2 party rooms for parties with karaoke inside. They only serve beer and wine only, NOT A FULL BAR. the bowling alley is pretty impressive as well. Overall I hope this place is here for the long haul
December 19th we had a special gathering that our school reserved a private area and ordered food and when our school got to round one they had doubled book the room and we had paid for it and they made us sit out in public area with our whole class and then said oh did they tell you about the food?. It's all frozen still and we may not have it. How can they be so unorganized and if we booked in advance how do you not have what the school paid for if we scheduled and booked in advance. Then gave us cards an
Staff is incompetent and lacks any customer service skills. Management was somewhat helpful but the overall experience was bad. Would recommend doing something else for any meaningful event. Don't come here
I'm very unhappy. They charged me on one card when I wanted to split payment with my friend. Leonardo needs to be trained more.
Lots of the machines were offline, the claw machines rarely restocked. Bar is beer and wine only unlike most of the other Round1 locations. Games seem out of date relative to other locations as well. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Food experience very bad for the many issues. Staff member walking out instead of making order - lied that there were no pizza slices. Resulted in 45 minute wait. A shame. Games are fun though!
I came with my Son today, and it was a pretty fun experience. I got to play a lot of games and enjoyed the Day ??????
Big place with lots to do. Love all the prizes in the arcade. Better quality than other places. Love the picture machines too though they are a tad expensive.
I've been here many times with my sons, this is the first time during the evening night hours. Mine you Round 1, it was one my Son's Birthday ??. I'd recommend that we go to "Dave n Busters" Milpitas or Concord. We arrived after early dinner around 630p-mish. The Security Guard(s) was very inappropriate with some of my family members and needs proper training. Even searched the baby carrier and the little ones. Clearly, we do not look like Terrorists/ Thugs and do not have to be search in a discomforta
The manager of this bowling alley is very unprofessional. We came over to play bowling, first told us the wait time is 4 hours, because it was a long way to drive, we stopped by and wanted to play something else. It turned out that the bowling lane was empty and no one was there, so we went back and asked if there was any space. Then the staff said that it can be given to us now, and then we went to the open road and did not clean it at all. The ball was very oily, and the road was very short and narrow. M
This place is a well wrapped peice of trash. Setup claw games with the proper zes stapled down and expensive as hell. Wouldn't recommend this place
Round1 at Southland Mall is a fun spot for arcade games and entertainment, but it does have its drawbacks. The variety of games is decent, and it's a great place to hang out with friends or family for a casual gaming session. However, the crane machines are a big letdown. Compared to other arcades, the claw machines here are set way too tight, making it frustratingly difficult to win anything. It's a bit disappointing, especially when you see similar machines elsewhere that feel more fair and rewarding. T
I came for here a friend?s birthday party. First off, the bowling lanes were quite small. Second, just a few minutes into our bowling session, the bowling machine and connected interface malfunctioned. We had to wait 30 minutes for it to get fixed. After it was ?fixed?, just two minutes later, it broke down again. This process repeated for another two times. The employee that was helping us was quite rude and distant. He just stood around the whole time and gave us no updates on the situation. At the end, a
Had my son's 13th birthday party there and it was great . He and his friends all had fun with the bowling , arcade games and had enough food the whole time . The faculty was great the whole time with bringing the food on time , helping set up the bowling and just being friendly the whole time . The room was big enough for 10+ kids and 10+ parents and clean . I would have it here again if my son wanted too . Food wasn't bad either the pizza , wings and fries were good had no complaints from anyone even the
I took a group there on a field trip from school. They had the best time and the staff was super cool.
I tried to exchange tickets for toys and was the only person in line. The employee seemed upset because we chose a toy that was placed high up. He left for 10 minutes to get a ladder, and when he returned, his attitude was noticeably unpleasant. Eventually, we received everything, but the experience left a bad impression. Next, we moved to the bowling cashier, and again, despite no line, we had to wait 10 minutes only to be told that bowling was unavailable due to an upcoming party. The cafeteria was also
Kinda over price but had fun . Bowling and some gaming - wine wasn't good - it's like Dave and buster but a lil worst
One of the coolest place to chill with friends. Worth the experience. I would suggest to take the hourly package. They also have decent alcohol options and food options. The service is also good with decent peripheral stuff.
It's a fun place to come chill with friends & family
Was fun before when claw machines had cuter prizes. Now most plushies are cheap feeling.
This place is a big NO. When you walk in you feel like you're walking into a jail, there's security and they actually search you ?? Bad service, the staff is not organized at all, if you order food, be prepared to wait over an hour for the pizza and the Japanese food, by the way, all the food is frozen! To be able to cook that frozen food that has no science to it, it took them about an hour, I only ordered frieds and waited 45 min ??The staff looks like headless chickens. Confused and disoriented, with no
Was visiting a friend and saw this on TikTok decided to take my kid bowling and did some games as well . Reminded me of Dave and busters . Games a lil pricey but over all was fun . Wine felt water down . I was also charge an extra $2.5 on top of the $2 card fee idky also mall offers free lv2 chargers so that's why I went here ??
Much different than the round 1 I am familiar with, they had some nice prizes, but not too many that were attractive to me. I was limited to just one figurine price per machine, so that was a bummer. Over it was fun to play
I had never been here before and the first time I went was for an event that I helped volunteer for! I was chaperoning teen who had never bowled or played pool and we had fun! This place is a kids wonderland and I felt that kid in me come out! The pizza and the wings are amazing! The space is fun and it's great for parties! I'll be back with my daughter!
It was so much fun. The kids had a blast. It was just hard to get a bowling lane. The wait was 2 hours. It was costly but worth it since they had so much fun. The only thing that worried me It that they had metal detection, which made me wonder what type of people ho were there.
The service and the community is worse, they have me waiting for the food one hour, they have a lot of problems with their service and we try to tal with the manager but the manager easiest way to solve problems is call security and try clients like garbage
This place is super fun. Food options could be better and desperately needs a fully stocked bar. Some more a/c would be nice too upstairs gets a bit hot.
Lots of games and claw machines to play. Kinda got caught up in the claw machines cause they're so damn cute lol. There's a wide variety of every game and bowling was pretty fun. The prizes are pretty awesome as well. I can see myself coming back here often. It was cool to see this one guy that was really insane at this one game and he looked like a professional. I didn't know someone's fingers could move that fast
Some bowling pins on lane 7 would fall over during the reset. I hope they fix that lane. We still had a good time bowling, though. They have security at the front, so it feels safe. The atmosphere of the place is cool too.
Customer service sucks here. Literally there is 5 people standing at customer service doing nothing and 1 person serving food.
You're up for disappointment. Frustrating lanes (messes up all the time). Frustrating staff (4 people behind the counter helping 1 person, 2 on their phones, one actually helping and the 4th redirecting you to the first person for a bowling shoe pickup for a currently running game). Frustrating food (imagine getting your pizza togo from a bowling alley because you finished your game by the time it was ready).
Such an awesome place to have fun! I've been waiting for Round 1 to open at Southland Mall all year and it did not disappoint.
Went for bowling ??, got to play one game since all 8 lanes were prereserved or in use. Was a bit too oily on the lane, ball and ??? got slippery and normal release was off target ??.
Pretty good round 1 arcade overall but their food menu is usually mostly out of stock
Love the ambiance, super fun but a little pricey for us but when we go we have fun
I absolutely love Round 1! There's a little bit for everyone. Just don't go comparing it to Dave and Busters - if you want good food and alcohol options for adults, you're better off going to DnBs. But if you love good arcade games, fair claw games, and niche Japanese games, with a splash of karaoke, bowling, and decent food - you'll definitely have a good time here. Me and my wife come alone to rack up tickets and play rhythm games, or with the kids to win some plushies and do some bowling. My personal ti
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Wasn't expecting too much. I ended up having a good time with the claw machines.
Like a playground for adults, Always a fun time and always rotating prizes!
Very reasonable fir a round: $8! Plus the snacks are decent!
I had a great time here. Randomly did karaoke and it was affordable and fun.
This place has an amazing staff that made our experience a great one! I've been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience. But I must say that our visit last night was even better due to the service level of everyone, but particularly a guy named "Bryan". When we went to buy our gamer cards, we didn't know which version to get, the regular card or the membership card. He was able to thoroughly explain the difference (and benefits) of each, which helped us to choose the membership card. It's a
The place was great it's fun if you have kids or you want a family fun activity. Though if you go when the mall's closed one entrance is only open. They search your bag like your purse or a little backpack. It's for your safety I get that. They also scan you and make sure that you're not carrying anything dangerous on you. This place is super fun. The prices are okay but yeah.
I do not recommend eating food on site..., they take a long time to prepare and those who attend are very poorly prepared..., in addition to the manager does not know how to fix problems.
First time . I loved it. Way too many armed guard everywhere but it's Hayward and safety is first.
A fun place to play ended up winning something at the claw machine on my first try. Couldn't win after the first try??. The prices are a bit unreasonable, maybe lower them.
Nice place. Shady location. Watch out for car break ins in the parking lot.
Good experience bowling, pool, games ..fun time all ages.. food too.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Never in my life have I received such horrible service as I received here over the weekend. From the managers to the staff, never have I witnessed such incompetence. If you would like to wait 1hour and 20 minutes to receive most of your order and be told that the only reason why your food hasn't come out is because you keep bothering them (asked 3 times over a period of one hour and 10 minutes) by all means enjoy this place. Just for reference we ordered 2 cheeseburge
Clean and helpful staff. The prizes weren't the best, but the games were a lot easier to win overall. Arcade games were clean and running well. Everyone was wearing a mask and having fun. Highly recommend.
Don't bother ordering food. Whatever they tell you, the wait will be at least 1+ hour. The games are VERY expensive per play.
On a rainy day we took the kids to check out Round1 in Hayward. Everything was nice except their Spark Bowling was not worth the $46.00 they charged for a 60 min session. The bowling lane was too lit up and bright for you to see the images on the floor. We looked at the experience online and it definitely is not what it was advertised to seem.
Very poorly managed they have 50 tvs all playing the same game nobody cares about I ask to put on the cfb playoffs lady says I'll see what I can do never see her again just give me the dawn remote next time if it's to hard to press the damn button BS
If you are a rhythm gamer, do not trust the group here. From what I have previously seen, the fact that they have backstabbed their own group members in the past is what previously gave them a bad image, and they still do to this day. If you do meet any of these people here, turn back now. To make matters worse, you have employees who are also a part of this group in secrecy (I believe their names are Brian and Efrain) that are absolute frauds by illegally providing free credits to their players. That a
Absolutely do not come here for the birthday the price isn't worth it. I usually take my daughter to a bounce house (usually around 5-600 dollars total for all her friends) this year she wanted to try round one because she won a toy on a claw machine. The "all inclusive" package for 18 kids costs close to $900. It's supposed to include unlimited arcade time, bowling, billiards, food and a karaoke room. What they don't tell you is the cards used for arcades only work on about 10% of the games in the whole
Games are fun but the security is a bit ridiculous. We don't have security check points at the Round ones in Phoenix. Games are a bit pricey and short but overall pretty fun. Not being able to bring in drinks sucks. Should be able to bring in outside drinks instead of being forced to buy the over priced drinks at the Cafe and bar.
Great place for Anime/Game plushies or figurines. I would say they usually have new plushies/Figurines every 3-4 weeks. Super addictive claw machines but they do put a dent in your waller lol
Tons of claw machines and fun video games. We tried bowling but it's always hard to get lanes and it doesn't help that the lanes are always broken. My kids love the place though.
I m at the places the machine order are broken then the employee can not Take orders so how we can have son food over here. ??
0 star if they had one. Worst Service went bowling with my family payed 107$ for 7 people then when we went to setup the bowling did not work. I put the request for help button waited for 5 minutes. Then the lady came didn't even talk to me she came saw the problem left. I thought she would fix it be nope she did not care. I requested the button for another 20 minutes I waited with guests while the workers had the nerve to just stare and to even insist to help they were staring until the manager came but I
My bestie and I took the kids to this spot. We all had fun playing the arcade and bowling. The staff was nice. The wait for the lanes estimated to be shorter than anticipated. Angel at check in said it would be 1 hour to 2 hour wait, but we were able to get a lane in less than an hour. Only thing I thought that was weird was getting check before coming in. I get it, it can get crazy, but I've been to other bowling/arcade places in the bay i.e. Dave and Busters, Big Al's and never had to empty contents of
Arcade is big but unfortunately they don't have taiko no tatsujin
I came here for a friend's birthday party, we bowled for 2 mins after which the system froze, and we just stood around for 3 hours doing nothing. The management came to try to fix the bowling alley but they just stood around. Terrible. Would not come back here again.
I loved it here but there was this one worker who was watching me and my friends bowl the entire time creepily. Also didn't know you needed an ID to get into the karaoke rooms. Other than that it was good.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
