Round1 Bowling & Arcade Promenade Temecula

Round1 Bowling & Arcade Promenade Temecula

Reviews Summary

Mixed reviews overall. Many praise the diverse game selection, clean facility, and helpful staff, particularly for bowling and claw machines. However, frequent complaints include rigged or broken machines, unfair ticket payouts, and overpriced credits/prizes. Food quality is inconsistent, with some finding it disappointing. Service varies—some staff are friendly and attentive, while others are rude or unhelpful. While some enjoy the arcade's lively atmosphere and winnable claw games, others criticize the heavy focus on gambling-like mechanics and declining value. Customer Reviews

Anyone who mentions the customer service as rude and full of attitude is correct. Mainly from the two ladies at the food counter while another lady from the Game Cards counter was very kind. I am not sure who trains some of these employees but customer service is also common sense, you don't treat customers as if they're an inconvenience to your job duties. I ordered a special float from their collab event, they had advertised it at the register and at the food kiosks. I couldn't order the float at the kio

It's the best Round 1 I've been to. Staff is very friendly and helpful with receiving prizes quickly. Their plushies and anime figures are high quality. They have so many fun games to play with decent sized jackpots to build up those tickets. They have so many different and the newest coin pushers, which are my fav. Their prize shop has so many items to choose from, from game consoles, to kitchen devices, mystery prizes, autographed sports memorabilia, musical instruments, anime memorabilia, shirts plus

Great place, can get a little rowdy at times but they do a good job at keeping control. Bathrooms are clean machines were stocked, bowling alley was in pretty good condition. Staff was friendly and helpful

Ground 1 has everything from various claw machines to billiards, bowling, and karaoke. I've never seen so many claw machines in one place before. I was surprised by how high-quality the prizes inside the machines were. The only downside was that the food didn't meet my expectations. However, my family had a great time, and we'll definitely be back soon.

Round1 Bowling & Arcade is a fantastic spot for both kids and adults alike. The arcade boasts a diverse selection of games, and the well-maintained bowling lanes add to the entertainment. The inclusion of a bar, pool table, and clean restrooms make it a well-rounded venue. What sets it apart is the family-friendly atmosphere, ensuring everyone has a good time. Affordable food options make it a win-win for a fun and budget-friendly experience! Tips to help you be less frustrated. If it's your first time goi

If you're looking for somewhere fun to spend with your family or a fun place to take your date, I highly recommend this place. My family and I have been coming here for years now, and it's never a dull moment. Everyone leaves happy with bags of prizes! We have the club cards and always get the deal with the most credits for each of us (4 of us). Each of the cards used to be just $100, but I think it went up to about $120 now. You definitely don't need to buy the most expensive one, but we do it so we don't

This arcade bar is the best playground for video games I've ever been to! They have everything?VR, pool, dance games, bowling, and so much more. The variety of games kept me entertained for hours. The place was spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you're into classic arcade games or modern experiences, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere was lively, and the drinks were great too. I can't wait to come back for another round of fun!

Love the bowl by the hour option here. We also loved the different game options for bowling. We tried the Angry Birds bowling game. The arcades games and claw machines are always fun although a little pricey. They have fun food options as well. Great place to come to celebrate a special occasion.

Really fun the employee were kind enough to be able to adjust the plush for a better grab as well as it doesn't hurt to ask if you've been on a machine that put at least 5 or more plays on it to get the plush.

The management and customer service here is AWFUL. My group and I spent so much money for about 3 hours of our time there on the karaoke rooms. Ordering 4 pitchers of beer ($30 each), a potato platter ($20), the most amount of hot wings they could give us ($30), and a Hawaiian Pizza ($30). Not to mention $25 for every hour in the karaoke room. The food took forever as it was, but we didn't make a big deal. We were having a good time until the pizza. At first, we thought it was a super good pizza because it

Was amazing to bowl here. Had great time with family and friends, ordered pizza and some apps and sent the kiddos off to the gaming area.

Absolutely worst service ever received. We've been going to Round 1 (Temecula) for the past four weeks to utilize the private karaoke rooms in preparation for a singing competition. Tonight we decided to invite other competitors in this singing competition to practice. All was well until we ordered a pizza (Hawaiian Style)? upon first glance, the pizza was underwhelming, but not much was to be desired given the fact it was coming from a sub-par bowling alley, but I digress. There was five of us in the room,

Great atmosphere. It has all the rhythm games that I grew up playing as a teen (Beatmania, DDR) but it also has plenty of modern cabinets such as Minecraft dungeons and ticket oriented machines. Great place to bring yourself, a date or family. I haven't tried bowling or billiards, but I could overhear other guests having fun playing those games.

They definitely need some of the older, classic game machines to be the 1-n-all arcade. But selection is still pretty good. They need better plushies for their claws. Too many repeats in different claw machines.

Stopped in to escape the heat. Vr sets are nice. They should refill the masks and wipes !!! We used our own wipes. Pellet/BB gun target game was fun, haven't seen one outside of fair

Their crane game is very strong BUT their manager Alex needs to be trained on customer service. She has major attitude problems when answering simple questions. Misery loves company and it felt like she just wanted to spread it. After my first time going here, this is now my 2nd least favorite Round 1 I've been to due to customer service. Ranking for ones I've been to: Best: Puente Hills San Diego Vegas Temecula Worst: Burbank

The bowling was quite enjoyable however the establishment generally seemed understaffed with significant waits for anything directly requiring an employee. The arcade side amounts to child gambling where the parent gets ripped off but I guess that's generally a mutually understood point.

Came to Round 1 for an outing with my team and had a wonderful time. We were helped by a very friendly gentleman named Finn, and he was able to assist us with our visit and our gameroom experience. Would love to come back and have another awesome experience!

The arcade was definitely big and had lots of games. The gifts were okay. Not my taste specifically. More for people who enjoy anime and more for kids.

I've been here a few times now and I really enjoy this location. Plenty of claw machines to choose from and they have a lot of the rhythm and dance games nearby on the other side. They have the traditional arcade games, though we couldn't find one of our favorite games and we were a little disappointed The workers are very kind, though it was really hard to find any on the floor to help reset some claw machines. Overall, a good time it is connected to the mall so sometimes the parking was really hard to fi

Better one than the riverside one. More lively surroundings (the riverside mall looks like it's about to shut down) More abundant of games and machines too with better payout since the machines are working as they're suppose to, well the push claw games that is. Customer service is adequate, so much you can do with limited employees

Great bar service - awful game selection. 1. NO MORE SKI BALL WTF 2. 9 games we tried were out of service 3. 2 games didn't start but took credits

They have a great diverse selection of games. I have mostly stick to the rhythm games and coin pushers, but there are tons of other arcade classics, and it's not hard to earn lots of tickets if you play the right games! People do win the claw machine prizes, but unless you know some secret technique to beating those I wouldn't waste your money. The concessions and bar have a great selection too, perfect drinks and snacks for late night bowling!

My brother and sister in law and I would got there like every couple weeks and when we went after not goin for like 2 months it was whack they changed all the cool anime figure claw machines so most of it was plushies which was disappointing because that's why it was my favorite place, I feel like the claw machines are rigged every time I picked up a plushie it just dropped right before I would win it the anime figure ones were better cause you actually had a chance of getting it and it was worth more spend

This place is so fun! They have so many claw machines (I'd say about half of the games at this location are claw machines). Their selection of video games is great. Perfect place for a birthday party or celebration of any kind!

Such a large assortment of indoor activities for all ages. Staff was very helpful with outstanding customer service skills.

Such a scam now. Gone down hill. Machines are even more rigged now and they increased their prices too. Prizes not worth it. The ping pong ball machines you need to land 3 spots to get some figured. The tiny claw machines always a scam and over priced. A try for a big machine basically $3 each.

Food was cool, adult drinks was good, but the a/c in the karaoke rooms didn't work but the brought in a fan. Something they could've told us about b4 we ordered adult drinks ??

So expensive - why are you guys so expensive?!? We often go to SD to Dave n busters cause you get maybe 20 games for $55! It really is so much more expensive than D&B and I honestly can't tell you why.

Super fun for date nights, fun with friends or family time. The only thing that will keep me from coming back is the sheer amount of claw machines. It's an obvious cash grab and sooooooo not cute at all. There used to more actual games and I miss that.

This is one of the largest and cleanest location Round1 has in SoCal. A ton of great games? Bowling? Birthday and party rooms. A great entertainment venue for Temecula that is seriously lacking in any kind of fun for family and kids.

Used to love this place but 90% increase in tickets needed to win and Xbox or Play station is pure corporate greed. This after raising the ticket prices to play. I am done with these guys.

Great place lots of awesome games.

Great arcade. Food, not so much. The hot cheetoh fries were drowning in cheese sauce and the "hot cheetoh" part is just dust, so there is no crunch and just gets lost in the cheese sauce. Skip this dish

We love to play crane games here! Always go home with 3-5 items with our $70 load up card. It's the fun of winning that's worth it!!!

Great selection of fighting game cabinets. Wish they had more classic arcade games.

Place was really nice and clean. Lots of different games to win tickets. Go big or go home. Bowling alley wasn't as packed when i went there.

I had such an amazing time here bowling, the facility is clean, the restrooms are clean and well stocked and the staff is friendly and courteous. I will be coming here again and I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family to come and enjoy

Huge arcade with lots of machines. Great variety with large sections of rhythm games, coin games, claw games, etc. You can find basically any type of arcade game here. Also always love that Round1 has a big selection of Japanese machines.

This place has so many grabby games and so many workers to help you. I hope they keep this place stays as clean and fast (months from now) as they did at the grabby game section as they did today. Friday from 530-7pm play time. Kids loved it. The grabbers are very winnable and unique, it's all about technique. A little bit pricier than Dave and Busters but its cleaner better maintained and better payout. Love it. Will return soon. It's a 60+mile drive for us to get here. Way worth it for a fun day event for

(redone review) Great mechs who fix issues quickly and efficiently, along with a good selection of rhythm games. All the essential ones are here, with nothing major missing. All the fighting games you'll typically find at Round1 are here too, with the exception of Melty Blood and that one Tetris game that got removed a while back. No issues with managers or employees.

Absolutely wonderful experience, I love it here! You can spend hours on end. Items cost a lot of points at the shop, but there's no doubt you'll be a return customer - so save up!

My son loves this place we always have so much h fun when we come here nice variety of games bowling claw machines and mini vr rides

I called ahead of time, and they told me as long as I am 24 that it would be ok to bring my brother that is 20 and his girlfriend that is 20 after midnight as long as they are with me. Then, when we entered they let us in but stopped my brother and told us to wait for the manager. The manager came and looked at us and told me straight away that we can't come in because she let other people in before and it backfired on them. An incident that had nothing to do with us. We felt racially profiled.

I just went in to look ,because I'm a old man & arcade game player ( I was with my wife ,and she likes the games too ) it is a big place with lots of crane machines ( too many) filled with new cartoon characters ( now I feel really old ) they have some big screen old fashioned game's that I could probably play very well, there was something for everyone, and a bowling alley with a bar for adult drinks and a few billiard tables , I did look at a flyer for birthday parties for kids starting at 29.00 dollars

RIP OFF took my kid here and spent hours trying to get the full set for 5000 tickets, but then the redemption machine only gave 2000 tickets. See pictures. Buyer beware, very disappointed.

They have new games, but it is not fair price, the place is clean and the employees are so friendly

Really nice location and super kind staff. I broke one of their games and they were super quick to help! This location is a good mix of arcade and crane games too. Most of the crane games had plushies while some had anime figures, I think it was a good amount of both. I would say that some of the cranes they have are a little harder than other locations, but still winnable. If I were to nitpick, I'd say my only problem is that there was only one staff member walking around at a time. It took a few minutes

Great place it is well maintained all of the games work not like other arcades. Prices are pretty good too. My kids love this place.

I come to round1 down in plaza bonita often, however i have also tried temecula location. Unfortunately temecula location has the most rude and unhelpful staff. Several times i was turned away or ignored when i needed help with machines. Even management seemed unwillingly to help. This will be the last time i ever come to this location. I want to note that it also was not busy at all.

went last night with my partner and had a blast, shout out to ash for being so accommodating and helpful with technical issues when we needed it :) can't wait to come back!

Lots of newer arcade games and Claw machines with good chances to win, but as many have said very expensive. Many machines not working. The bowling alley is good, but expect a long wait and some mechanical issues (we were forced to bowl with bumpers)

I was so scared to bring the kids here but it wasn't bad at all. The kids had fun. I got the popular deal which is $44. They only played at the arcade section. We didn't go to the bowling alley nor ate there. We were there for about 1hr 30mins. Lots of selection. The place looked clean. The staff were nice. Good selection of prizes. Will definitely return and do the bowling alley.

Loved this place. It has a lot of different and unique crane games. The variety of different games there was great too Prices were decent as well.

No baby diaper changing station Takes about 30mins to get your food even after you order on screen. No paper towels in restroom Been coming for 2+ years can't win anything but I go to a mom & pop arcade in lake Elsinore & they can win every once & a while .seems like this place is rigged. **update 3/14/25 they updated their Time play & took some very popular games off without saying anything. Will not be coming back.they added a diaper changer in the women's restroom..

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Round 1 Bowling, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. First off, the food was terrible?cold, like it had been sitting in the back for who knows how long. The customer service was just as bad. The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly, making the entire experience unpleasant from start to finish. On top of that, the lanes had constant technical issues, causing delays that ultimately made us run out of time before we could even finish a single game. When

Had the worst experience there. Staff just don't care and "manager" apparently doesn't have access to manage anything. Took the family there to play few games but after playing 2 frames an employee comes over to tell us that they made a mistake and gave us a reserved lane. No problem, we stop our game and move the whole family (including a pregnant woman and a senior citizen) to a new lane. Not even one full frame (5 players) into playing in the new lane it gets stuck. We call maintenance and they get it wo

Adrian- our helper for reservations was more than helpful and extremely patient. Answered all questions and good attitude

Pretty cool place. It's got a good size arcade, about 12 bowling lanes, a bar for the adults, snack place to get something to eat and some pool tables. It's a nice addition to the mall and I'm happy to have it close to me. I only played around in the arcade with the kids and it's a little expensive. The use the reloadable cards like most places do now. I like that all your "tickets" get added to the card so you don't have to carry them around. I didn't like that some games cost a fraction of a credit. I kno

It has a good selection of good games such as Mario Kart, shooter games, and such. It's a bit pricey on credits though and they don't allow you to come in with bags.

This was a fun get out night for the fam. The claw games are pricey though so if you want to win a stuffy bring some money

People at food counter were rude the replace everything with gamble for a stuff dollar toy that the machines are set up to not clasp that much never again we spent 4 kids under 7 45 minutes 300.00 dollars not in this economy.

This place is hit or miss. Some days they have very easy set ups, some days it's impossible to get the prizes.

This review is based on comparison to the Japan round 1 establishment. Unfortunately I came here with high expectations of having a great experience like I did at the round one establishments I attended while I lived in Japan. $25 in Japan gets you access to three floors of arcades, darts, pool halls, ping pong, boxing, indoor skating, batting cage, basketball courts, archery just to name a few. Unfortunately this is just like a Dave and busters, memberships and different level player club cards. You can

variety of fun japanese rhythm games, including ddr (white and gold cab), sdvx (1 valk cab, usually people surrounding it), groovecoaster, wacca, chunithm, gitadora, and more. no taiko or maimai though

Terrible terrible service. We originally were going to temecula lanes (the best bowling in town, highly recommend) but a bowling league took over that night so we couldn't bowl. Ended up at round 1 with zero greetings. Staff was hanging out talking behinde counter. There were other lanes open but they gave us the VIP lanes which are NOT VIP status by any means. We still had to go order the stuff at the counter, nothing was brought out and what makes it VIP? The lane has your name on it..... Went to the coun

I completely agree with other reviewers that this place is only getting worse and must be under new management. It use to be halfway decent place for some family fun. But they are getting more and more concerned with profits and getting people/kids to gamble with their claw machines that give out really lame prizes and less about the fun aspect. If I could give zero stars I would. I can definitely see their reviews going down and down in the very very quickly. This is supposed to be a family entertainme

Expensive! Fun place to visit on occasion. Prices went up as of 3/2025. Big time!

great place to go on date nights or hang out with friends when you are looking to be out late in temecula

Well, this was a disappointment. The majority of the "games" now are those claw machines that steal your money. Bringing kids to this place is a big waste of money. They'll blow thru $50 in 10 minutes instead of playing fun games for a couple hours on $50 bucks. That's what our boys did. I played pool for an hour and that was $16. Drinks were more than Phil's BBQ where we just came from.

THIS PLACE BY FAR TAKES THE CAKE FOR ARCADES AND ALCOHOL PRICES!!! We literally came here yesterday for some drinks and to check all that they had here (this place reminds my wife of Japan as Round1 is a Japanese company). Even though we did not play any games however, we did watch the Olympics, had some food, and enjoyed the beer and wine that they had at great amazing prizes!!! If you guys are looking for a great outing to take the kids (as well as yourselves) and want to make your money work for you, THI

Bs rule about having to be 25 to bring along anyone underaged, it's an arcade not some casio

I met some friends here, who go here often, but it was my first time. I had so much fun with all the different games, and prizes, but the best part of the night,.other than being with my friends, was your employee working the bar, Jerry. That kid put in work on our mixed drinks, and was polite, jovial, and frankly I loved the guy. Of all the employees I met, which was many, that guy was by far the best, and when I come back, I'm looking to say hi to our new buddy. To ownership, please take your time to co

My husband and I had such a great time! Staff so nice and on top of it! Very clean and great atmosphere. In a great location. We were able to get great little gifts with the tickets we won. After bowling and playing games we walked to get something to eat. First time going will not be my last! Round1 is truly a fun place to bring your spouse, friends and family. Oh forgot to mention they have karaoke!

Been going here for the last few years since the pandemic ended. It's always been just an ok experience as most staff members are rude, prices are very high and chances of winning are very low. There was however a few great managers who always took care of their customers particularly a nice Asian man. Have not been to round one in months but finally had the opportunity to go. Unfortunately we were met with disappointment. All the prices have increased significantly for purchasing tokens. All the prices of

Came back to visit, and was impressed with their updated claw section. Won two cute rilakkuma bears ??????

compared to the other round 1 ive been too, this one is way better when it comes to it's fighting game selection. 4 NesicaLive1 cabinets, 2 NesicaLive2 cabinets, 2 Street Fighter 6 cabinets, 2 soulcal 3 arcade cabs, 1 Capcom vs SNK 2 cabinet, 1 Sega Tetris cabinet and 2 Marvel vs Capcom 2 cabinets. Overall, a very good selection of games even though the NesicaLive1 cabinets come with more anime games like BlazBlue and NitroPlus and not classic games like Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Third Strike which the ot

Great place, everyone was happy and it's lots of fun for the kids, 300 game credits was 50 bucks the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because of it being more expensive than chuckle cheese. It is much nicer and cleaner. Newer as well

Employees were really nice, very accommodating and it was a super busy day! The food, for an arcade place, is surprisingly good. They have a nice drink menu as well. The games and machines were remarkably clean and this was on a Sunday afternoon. We had to park quite far away, since they were so busy, but the place is really nice and didn't feel crazy. Definitely a place I will take my grandkids! I wish it had been around when my children were younger!

I really like round one. It's got zero old school games like MK or street fighter. But they do have good games that work. Clean place staff seems on it.

This place sucks. I came with my friend and we reserved a lane which would be ready in an hour. We waited a whole hour for our lane to be ready just to be told we couldn't enter. We talked to the front and they never told us there would be an age requirement to enter again. The manager came out and was hostile. She refused to let us in even when we already reserved a lane. Apparently you have to be a certain age to bowl now after 9pm. This place is ridiculous and we will never be returning. I would give thi

This place used to be fun and had a large variety of games, but then they started removing a bunch of them in favor of more claw machines and now there's too many of them. As of writing this, they are in the middle of expanding. But most likely, it's so they can add even more claw machines. (If I'm wrong about this, then I'll renounce my statement) So if that's your thing, good for you. But if you're like me, then you're better off going to a different arcade or a Round 1 that isn't (what's listed on thei

Went here for my wife?s birthday to play the claw machines. My son loves the video game ?Fall Guys? and we asked a manager who then directed us to an employee I believe named Finn where the ?Fall Guys? prizes were as we've seen them there a few months before. Finn showed us the only machine that had the ?Fall Guys? plushes which was on a rotating platform and had to be on of the hardest claw machines there. After attempting multiple times (the whole family) and coming backing to fail again multiple times -

Very fun, clean, never saw so many claw machines in one place!

We used to LOVE this place! It was our go to on family days. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it was worth it for us. They have slowly added more and more claw machines, which wasn't a big deal, at first. Went yesterday and they have gotten rid of a lot of the arcade games and replaced them with weak claw machines. We could spend hours playing there and my daughter would still beg to stay longer. We weren't even there for an hour yesterday and she said she was bored. We're going to have to look for another pl

Not for toddlers. All toddler games were broken. It's completely filled with claw games in the center, that are all set on hard and drop everything; even the little animals. It has good games for older kids, but is expensive compared to other places.

A lot of games to try. The place is very big and plenty of different games whether arcade or video games.

Games were fun but a little high. Tickets weren't adding onto the card correctly and manager was trying to accuse us of cheating even though we had proof. Staff was rude and didn't want to talk with us about what was going on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
